I'm just gonna list things by priority since I know Devs will take forever doing these things
But High priority: Ghoul and Blight need changes immediately because they are both unhealthy and high pickrate cause you see them always and these changes need to be addressed soon
Just curious, why Blight,Ghoul and not Nurse?
While Nurse is arguably even stronger than Blight.Because if reason is pickrate, then it's kinda short sighted. Nerf to Blight, will increase pick rate of Nurse.

A friend of mine, who plays blight, says he should be 4.4m/s and i agree. But i also think his speed addons should be partially basekit (maybe 2 or 3% per rush) and then reworked into another thing.
With this in mind, blight could also lose some tokens after breaking a pallet to prevent the Break → Insta Rush situation
I can see one or the other. Both combined would feel really bad imo. I personally would rather see token loss.
4,4 m/s in mind that his rush speed would be equal or higher to current version.
Thing is making him lose tokens on pallet break while being 4,4 m/s would make him very frustrating to play as in my opinion. His power is not very good at short loops, where survivor can run around it quickly, which is also something where you can abuse 4,4 m/s killers a lot.
So you will have to brute force those loops and even after survivor drops pallet and you break it, you still can't use your power to catch up, which will give survivor time to reach possibly exactly same loop. -

Blight should be 4,4 m/s speed base you wanna know why?
Best mobility on command but unlike ghoul he can injure you from it and down you plus he can play and outplay loops with it way more than kaneki, his power is stronger than spirits and has shorter cooldown by 5 seconds comparing 10 seconds power cooldown to 15 seonds cooldown power when the shorter one is stronger and faster so thats to his speed change with so good power still vast majority from his injures and downs come from use of his power than m1 so this wont hurt people playing him that much in skill and effort they had to put in him.
Second change I would make to blight is for him to loose 2 tokens after breaking pallet again why? Breaking pallet with rushes takes two one for unlocking ability to cause damage or break on second so now it will be even and I dont think it should be more charges/tokens because if you have 4,4 speed killer than you cant take away his power when survivor will just predrop and he will break and will be slower speed than regular m1 killer so 2 tokens is good number 4 seconds of recharge time + time (few seconds) of breaking action or power animation end after doing it with power.
Ofcourse I think it should be test first than applying good old devs Nerfhammer tactic here where they smash something (mostly killer) with so hard nerf that he becomes total mess to paly as like they did with skullmerchant, pig in the poast and many other characters or some perks, addons Im more for proper testing and I believe this will be achieved on blight who is by far the most Golden child in this game and devs were always super easy with his changes (nerfs we speak here).
For people thinking his power will be strong than yeah thats the point of the killer being 4,4 m/s or even slower than survivor speed aka the nurse like if you take killers ability (movement speed) that helps him in chase and map mobility than you must give him a good power to secure his chase potencial, good exsample is like spirit and henry (vecna for younger generations but for D&D fans just a imitation).
Addons are thing too but if you touh fim in this way like this than its better to wait if it will work and than adjust addons than spam good old bhvr Nerfhammer and cause "nerf pig" moment again, isnt it?
I think making him 4,4 m/s and also lose tokens on pallet break would be overkill.
I said losing tokens on pallet break would be good, but kinda for different reason. My issue is that's kinda Blight's easy way to play him. Break pallet (especially with Brutal strength) and rush after survivor, I don't like that. It's simply too effective for how easy it is (like Ghoul).
Such change would be enough to force Blight players to use his power more. It's kinda like, you can as well use your tokens to mindgame, when you will lose them anyway on pallet break.Just make him lose 2-3 tokens on manual pallet break and rework one, or both of his speed addons. That's easy and safe change.
4,4 m/s would result in another balancing nightmare.
Just reworking his speed addons would be good start, because there is big difference between double speed Blight and base speed Blight. -

Blight has been S-tier for like 6 years it would not ruin him if he was nerfed down to low A to B Tier
A? sure. I think simple changes I said would be enough to bring how to A tier. He doesn't really need that much imo.
B and bellow you are overnerfing killer on purpose. It would be basically creating Billy situation again. Blight is one of hardest killers in DBD, he should be strong enough to make it worth to put your time into him.Billy with overheat wasn't worth your time. He is now.
Blight in B or less tier, also wouldn't be worth it. -

Sure, but at least that's not "basekit" situation unlike with anti-everything update.
-
I would hate if WoO is basekit. I play without it on purpose for a good reason.
I really don't want my game to be follow yellow simulator. If you want something basekit, then use Kindred (survivor aura). That helps team coordination, that's what soloQ needs. It's also something it wouldn't be such a big deal, if you give it even to SWF.

We never had swf winstreak over 500. The best was around 250 - that's big difference
Depends on what timeframe. If you mean recently, then yeah 200+ was highest.
If you mean in general DBD history, then highest is 500. WimaTV managed 500 and didn't even lose it, they just got bored.
-
Thing is it's possible even for Blight to do it in pubs, where he is basically stomping noobs most of the time.
When you put Blight in balanced settings (comp), it's normal to see escapes.Should Blight and Nurse be nerfed? Yeah
But I don't think they need to be nuked into C tier…For Blight I would basically want only for him to lose 2 tokens on manual pallet break and rework 1 speed addon.
Otherwise you can get high win streak with ANY killer, or survivors. Simply because match making allows it.
We had SWF escape streaks over 500, soloQ was around 30-40. -

But they could, if they adjusted their gameplan. Pain Res was still top 5 perks used despite it very obviously having no effect, despite Darkness Revealed giving you much more value as survivors have to move around a lot.
Meanwhile, survivors brought Fixated and Urban Evasion instead.Meanwhile, survivors brought Fixated and Urban Evasion instead.
So survivors had a way to make it done faster, but killer didn't have a way to make it done slower.
Only thing killer could try is to stack info/chase perks, but they couldn't really prevent survivors from finishing blood gens.
So devs had two options, either nerf speed of blood gens, or let killer perks regress them. This way killer at least has to use perks for it and it's not worse for survivors by default. You can also adjust to it now. Killer use Ruin a lot in this event? Well, then use totem hunting perk to get rid of it quickly. Extrasensory Perception is by far best perk for this and it's even better if you want to use Urban evasion anyway in this event.
-
Well, that's simply part of the counterplay survivors can do to prevent Legion from spreading injuries.
It's also about the only thing you can do against Iri button, so it's kinda is needed.Just accept it and cancel your power instead of waiting there for 10 seconds trying to vault…
-
My guess is they simply didn't like the results in kill rates from last event and I would say fact that killers couldn't really stop blood gens was part of it.

5 hooks is 90% permanent progress, when all survivors have fast track.
You're completely ignoring anything about gameplay here. This is also a "doom scenario" where everyone is running the perk, but for sake of argument let's assume this is actually the best perk in the game and everyone will run it every match.
You're basically saying the equivalent of "noed guarantees 4 Downs in end game if all survivors are still alive". It clearly doesn't, and depends on gameplay, right?
So for fast track, there are tons of ways this isn't guaranteed value:
- You already did the math to assume the person hooked isn't on a gen.
- You can die with charges.
- You can dump charges into a gen that's already almost finished.
- You can have all 3 final gens with charges added, only one of these actually matters.
- You can be at cap doing something other than a gen when someone is hooked and those tokens are wasted.
No one is ever showing video to go with this. Demonstrating a problem. It's just more panic, and panic because, frankly, killers see "you can't regress gens" and lose their minds. That's what I think this really is.
The way most people complain in these forums they're talking about losing "2-3 gens in their first chase". Now that's not my experience, generally, but if you're at 2 gens with one hook, fast track isn't your problem and isn't going to be the problem.
If most people aren't losing 2-3 gens in their first chase, then why are we balancing around the few screaming that they do everywhere else in the game?
"noed guarantees 4 Downs in end game if all survivors are still alive"
equivalent would be NOED gives you at least an easy down in endgame
I said exactly the value that Fast track gives to survivors, I didn't say they will 4 escape because of it.
Regarding your "issues"
You already did the math to assume the person hooked isn't on a gen.
I did math for 3 survivors, on the screenshot all 4 survivors had fast track. So someone would need to not be on gen while 4 other survivors get hooked to lose the value of Fast track.
You can die with charges.
With 3 charges? sure. Otherwise if you get tunneled, you are not getting charges. If you die with 9 charges you screwed it.
You can dump charges into a gen that's already almost finished.
I will tell you a secret. You can choose to not hit great skill check.
You can have all 3 final gens with charges added, only one of these actually matters.
True, but one of them will still get done faster because of fast track.
You can choose to put all of them into one gen too…You can be at cap doing something other than a gen when someone is hooked and those tokens are wasted.
You were not working on single gen while other 4 survivors were hooked? Yeah, not even Fast track can save this level of useless.
-
Trust me, it's for the best to take a break from time to time. Kinda with any game, but especially with this game.
If it's permanent break, even better for you.
-
Just prerun and greed short loops with pallet.
Hold W is king in this game and you can really make Trickster feel being 110 killer.
Trickster is good only if you let him close from start of the chase, but at that point that's true for so many other killers…

You had 11k BP, and the survivors who escaped had about 18k... 7k of which is escaping.
You can't have had many hooks this game. Which not only means fast track did almost nothing, but you also only had 2 perks for most of the match for the same reason.
Hyperfocus/Stakeout and toolboxes did almost all of the work here. With the only real variable being how long you spent earning your power or dry kicking gens.
5 hooks is 90% permanent progress, when all survivors have fast track. I would say that definetly makes that game faster. You really don't need many hooks for this.
With each hook you give survivors BNP with 18% permanent progress.
Thing is hyperfocus+stakeout you kinda need full build around it. Fast track is very good option to use even as single perk.
I don't think it's broken on level of MFT,CoH,MoM, but it is overtuned and quite an unhealthy design imo. -

Less stealth in chases? You just confessed she can have permanent stealth. If you don't have permanent stealth, it means you aren't utilizing her to her fullest. A lot of Skull Merchants today don't even utilize half of her strategies. Recall undetectable has added so much more depth and potential to her, but yes, she's nowhere close to finished. How she injures/could down people with drones should also be looked at
Less stealth in chases? You just confessed she can have permanent stealth.
"For normal gameplay it's simply worse" This is important part….
She has permanent stealth, if you are willing to do quite an annoying thing, which I am not.If you want her stealth to be in short duration just to ambush survivors like before, it's basically more work for same thing. In early game you get basically no stealth unless you decide to not create any drones in advance…
Right now, she is still very weak, because survivors can deny a lot of things from her kit. But her kit was/is very easy to use, devs can't really make her good killer right now, so I would rather see a rework.
-
You could show it in the game under the player list, or you could also show it during loading screen so it doesn't slowdown players.
-
Definetly no, I never want see survivor meta.
It's bad enough there are differences in height and sound volume. Giving survivors "powers" would make this so much worse.
It's good survivors are just cosmetics, you can play whoever you want based on lore/visual.

Because now it requires skill and being deliberate. I've tried it myself as an avoid Skull Merchant advocate and it has been amazing. Getting stealth is extremely strategic right now, though of course her controls require getting used to
Until you find out you can just recycle one drone for infinite undetectable…
For normal gameplay it's simply worse, less stealth early game and less stealth during chases. Otherwise you get same result for more effort, where she really wasn't in spot for such nerfs imo.
-
It's not broken on level of MFT, CoH, or MoM, but I would say it's overtuned.
It weird to double buff such a simple gen rush perk, where only counterplay is to tryhard as killer…
Would be better, if you gained less tokens for hooks and more of them when survivor is actually killed. So it doesn't punish killer spreading hooks, which is what you want them to do. -
Blight, Billy, Dracula
Less known would be Pyramid Head, where his flick is basically necessary to know, if you want to use his power on survivors with LoS. His flick is quite difficult to do properly. That's probably PC only thing…

This would be a valid point if we were discussing something trivial, but the removal of Wesker's "techs" noticeably hurts the character's strength. It's not petty or "kindergarden" to call that out.
If Wesker can't have his "techs", then why should any other Killers? Why should the Survivors? If we're going to balance Wesker around only being able to do what was strictly intended, then it only makes sense that we treat the whole roster equally.
It's not a good approach in my opinion.
Instead of asking to ruin other killers, or survivors. You should complain about the change in first place.
It doesn't make sense to make everything worse, just because 1 thing got worse. Was I annoyed when they nerfed Oni? Definetly, but I was complaining about the change, never asked for others to get same treatment, because I don't believe it was good change.
Removing all bugs (techs) would make the game definetly worse and boring.
-
@BongoBoys said:
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but those are all classified as bugs and unintended by the devs and they have been fixed so this is how wesker is supposed to be
Same was said for Oni and his 180 is in his basekit now, while also easier to do.
Knight's guard kissing windows because survivor got nearby was also a bug, now it's feature even with visual display. If bugfix makes killer feel bad to play as, then it wasn't done properly at least.
PTB version of Wesker was way worse and they managed to fix some of it, because players pointed out it to be problematic for the killer, so it's clearly not as simple as "it's a bug". -

If they can remove flicks and hug techs on killers like Wesker then they should remove healtechs and point techs
Oh right, the classic kindergarden tactic if I can't have it, you can't have it.
It's almost as this should be handled case by case and not all or nothing….
There is way more killer techs still existing compared to survivor techs, so you should be careful what you wish for. -
"Nothing crazy"
and then write crazy duration…This would make heal tech basically impossible.
This would also do nothing against survivors who just stand in exit gate without a reason, because they can still do it and just leave before you can hit them.
Such change would only result in free kills during endgame, where survivors are trying to leave. It's already risky to go for unhook in endgame and this would make to so much worse. -
@niteowl said:
Havent had the change to try him out yet, is it really that bad?
depends how many hours you have on him. They basically introduced short delay between dashes, which won't matter for new players on Wesker, but hey if you have hundreds of hours something like this will throw you off.

spirit and singularity both can only m1 to down . They have mobility but all power hits count as an m1 . Legion and ghoul are a hibrid where they can m2 for the injure but always m1 for the down.
That's why I say technically yes, but when people talk about M1 killers, they really don't mean Spirit, or Ghoul.
When you see posts about M1 killers being weak, are Ghoul/Spirit/Singularity really first killers that come to your mind? He is just not in same category as Doctor, or Ghost face. Their chase is completely different compared to actual M1 killers.
Ghoul mains are saying claims like "just M1 killer against injured survivors", but in reality he is not even close to them.
This is simply an issue of outdated terminology. Ghoul downs with M1, but he is not "basic" killer. You have many killers that use M1 to down like Hag, or Deathslinger, but their chase has nothing to do with basic killers. So for them it's just 100% upside, because it enables them to use perks M2 killers can't.

By mechanic you mean his vault? If so, then you are simply wrong.
It's not useless against pallets, if you use Dissolution, that's hard counter.
His vault is definetly worse for pallets, I wouldn't say completely useless, still worth a try to see if survivor knows or not. You still need timing to do it as survivor.
It's definetly not useless overall for Ghoul, when it works for windows with Bamboozle exactly same as before. So your comment about "They might as well just remove it" is just overreaction. -

but factually tough he is an m1 vs injured survivors by definition after this change . He does not have an m2 damaging state and will always have to m1 for a down .
So is Spirit… She needs to also M1 to injure, so Spirit is more M1 killer than Ghoul.
So technically yes, but not really.

Oni never got fixed, his flicks are completly gone and the "180" he has is almost useless because of how slow it is. Wesker truly got the "We arent removing the techs that have been in our game for years and will fix it by release" treatment. Oni had this happen to him exactly a year ago, so I doubt Wesker is going to gain his techs back aswell.
Oni never got fixed
Yeah, I have stopped playing him as my main for this change.
But he definetly got better compared to his first change that removed 180 completely.Current form is way easier to do, but hey slightly weaker, because it's slower and you need more space around you.
It's unlikely Wesker will get to original state, but there is chance they will improve him a bit. -

Nah its pretty useless iv done some testing with some buddies and like you said before its even easier to do then before and before was still pretty easy for an experienced survivor. I highly doubt behavior is done with this. Only time will tell.
How is it pretty useless when it works exactly same on windows and you can use perks to counter revault? Sounds as skill issue to me

So if theyve given up on trying to stop the revault why even keep the mechanic? They might as well just remove it, its useless.
It's useless on pallets, if survivor knows what they are doing. You still need timing to get revault.
Speed of his vault is same and most Kaneki players are still going to use either Bamboozle, or the addon to counter windows.
So it's not like his vault is completely useless.Dissolution is also popular perk on Ghoul, which makes pallet revault impossible.

Yeah it was always really buggy but they've presented this change in a way they only removed it because it was preventing revaults.
I would hope they would make collision so revaults wouldn't work but it seems just as inconsistent as before. I was able to vault back a kaneki who tried to vault a pallet but they weren't enraged. But when i play him myself i was able to block a pallet and a window. So idk.
Either way would be nice if BHVR could comment on this post. Maybe on the stream but this seems like a pretty niche so i doubt. You can revault against him quite reliably from my testing, but you can't just hug the pallet, because he will usually just push you to the side and you can't vault.
Revault is similar to before, where you need to get little distance away from pallet and then run through him when he is ending his vault animation.
So yeah, if you do it early, or late you don't get hit by the mechanic, but you are stuck next to him and most likely injured, so it will still be down.
It's not even close as easy as against Legion, but it's possible with correct timing, so good enough for me.I would say revault is easier to do now, because you need less distance from pallet, where you would just get downed before, but survivors can definetly mess it up. His vault is still very fast, so you kinda need to be prepared to do this.
-
Well, hopefully they will revisit him in upcoming patches as they did with Oni and just make him work again.
I don't think it's good idea to discourage players from playing your most popular killer. Wesker is one of few killers survivors like to play against, so you want killers to play him….
This patch did exactly opposite. There is no reason for someone to start playing him and Wesker mains are stopping, because of your changes. -

Kinda funny you mentioned that video, considering he said revault as counterplay to his vault. That's basically only option you have, if loop doesn't have short enough side, where you can try to win 50/50.
