Yeah idk. After the survey in what January I think? They asked a bunch of stuff about how people feel about slugging. And from what I've heard it was mainly from the survivor perspective.
Yeah, I really didn't like how those questions were phrased.

I’m kinda sick of seeing chucky’s in every second update and other killers being left behind. I know chucky isn’t in the best spot, but him being updated so frequently leaves a bitter taste behind.
I want Sadako to get some chase focused buffs like removed TV auras and condemned nerfs, so passive condemned can be brought back to discourage people from turning off TVs.
I mean, they should have left him alone before that big nerf…

Pain res and pop should get an exhaustion mechanic just like survivor exhaustion perks. When one triggers it triggers a cooldown for both of 45 seconds.
Sure, if you buff them to original versions. So basically 1 regression perk is enough to use.
But it wouldn't really work in reality, because it will be same as now. Basically pain res (or pop if buffed) and then use bunch of gen blocking perks. (Grim, Corrupt, DMS)
If you would try to make it also count for gen blocking perks, then they would need to have some insane numbers to make them worth to use and work as single slowdown perk. Basically only one that would still work in combination is corrupt.

It’s still a valid perk. If it were so weak like some people claim it wouldn’t be one of the most used gen perks used right now.
Can’t be that bad if people are slotting it.
Do you know saying "desperate time calls for desperate measures"?
It's not like there is that many options to choose from, especially for M2 killers.
There is a reason why we have such a big difference in pick rate between pain res (27%) and pop (15%).
-
Yeah, nope… That sounds as nightmare fuel.

@Langweilig said:
Making him 110 will change nothing. Most hits he gets are by his m2, so making his m1 worse will barely affect him.
It won't affect good blights that much, but it would still make him worse.

Unlike survivors, BHVR does not balance a killer on high performing, they balance around killers that have no idea how to use the power effectively.
Skully and Chucky nerfs suggest that game is also balanced around survivors who have no idea how to play against killer powers effectively.

So having a huge MMR had someone wait in queue for 1h. That just proves my point of why do I need to go against a player that "lives to play DBD" (jk). Sure 1h seems excessive BUT if they go and min-max the game to be the best then you wont have who to play with.
1 Strict MMR was never hated by low skill players since they got players of their level not a lvl 100 killer when you have combined lvl of 30-ish.
2 Now otzdarva to use as the example, from the limited amount of live streams I've seen NEVER stays in queue more than 3 min. Sometimes it feels like I stay in queue more than him( due to the time of day).
3 This game wanted to go pro but didn't so why should I have to deal with min-max lvl 100 Bob when I just came from work and want to play a game and potentially win.
This is 1 incident so it is not proof but still out of 20 games in a day I won 2 by pure luck. My MMR should have been in the ground but killer had a constant level or 30+ with perks from other killer meaning that most killers have excessive amount of time in the game. Why should I go against them. I play casual like the majority of DBD players (according to BHVR themselves). So the point is a skill cap should be in the game but if you are way to good you should wait way more than me because at the end of the day who is more prone to quitting the game? Me that plays casually and start to hate the game or the "pro" that spends the majority of his time on the game. To add a bit more the majority of players are casuals or new players so having a frustrating game/s makes you want to quit faster.
You know I can use opposite to extreme too?
By how MMR works, which is flawed, you get MMR as survivor based on escapes. Which simply has to create elo hell, where you get bad teamates, which makes you die more, right?
So I would guess there is way higher number of survivors in low MMR than killers. So if MMR was actually strict, then all new survivors / bad survivors would wait also insane times in queue.
I couldn't care less if I get survivor with 100, or 10 000 hours against me. I just want fast queue times, even current survivor queue times during evening (2-4 minutes) make me think if it is worth it.
If you get it to extreme, if I need to wait in queue basically same duration as game can last, it's not worth it. I am always going to prefer speed of queue times over precision.

Majority of killers: 3k
Weak killers: 2k
SWF: 3 escapes
SoloQ: 1 escape (with finished gens)
and just have a good chase -

I dont think pop is weak at all. 20% is solid. COB and OC shouldnt be buffed together. 1 or the other.
It's 20% of current progress, you need to hook survivor and find gen with enough progress to kick it within 45 seconds.
It's just weak. Even Eruption is better than that.
Pop has time limit, requirement and regression is not that good compare to other perks. Make it maximum regression and that would be worth to use.
-
@kiler333 said:
Aven you think that but lets put it into perspective. Today I played 20 or so matches and won 1 just because I let the last person on hook die and got lucky and opened the gate while the killer went to the other one ( only worked once in 5 times I was the last person) and to add insult to injury at one point I got tunnelled by a Wesker, killed and then he let everyone else go. No other hooks except me.
The popular streamer Otzdarva stays in queue no more than a minute and No one can tell me he doesn't have high MMR. HE should be in queue for 5+ min at his level but he gets in matches sometimes quicker than me and this is after seing 3-4 matches of his live.
It used to work exactly how you say. Good killers waited a long time for the game and games were overall sweatfest.
I think Dowsey with Twins waited over an hour to get the game, when he was on kill streak, which should simply never happen.
Strict MMR was hated by majority of people on both sides and I am glad it's mostly gone. Funny is during 2v8 I have seen how no match making looks like, so I would say MMR definetly still has an effect, just not as big as before. -
Depends when you play, I usually play from 21:00, or later and my queue times are under 20 seconds. Survivors usually 2 minutes+ at that time, which is funny when survivors have bonus 25% BP…
Fact that you tried to bring MMR as an argument is just hilarious.

Actually this is false about COB. Ive tested this perk in customs, Give slightly over halfway through the perk of it activated on a gen and you have almost a full pops amount of regression on the Gen.
Well, I think pop is currently just weak, so not really good standard anyway.
CoB and overcharge definetly should be buffed. It's weird they didn't do it with 3-gen feature already, but I guess PTSD from gen kick meta was still too fresh.
-
I like most of those suggestions. Would bring some valid perks to use.
Insidious would be hilarious to use in chase. -
Seems like good Blights become even better and it will only increase skill floor.
I personally wouldn't change a Blight. There are definetly killers that need attention more than him.

The reason why some killers have 110% or 115% speed is due to the complexity of their power.
Slinger moving at 4.6 wouldn't make him stronger or broken but rather completely more unfair and not fun to play against because he wouldn't have any penalty for missing shots.
For slinger to be 115% they would have to revert all the changes that make him more healthier to play.
Then you can simply increase movement speed penalty while reloading, not hard to offset.
Point of 115% is to nerf hold W, which Deathslinger can't really deal with well.
-
Well, I think Bond would be simply too strong overall, but I think survivor aura reading of kindred would be good enough, but not really breaking whole balance.
I like that kindred (definetly only survivor part) would help only when survivors actually need it, but it won't play the game for you.

yea that's the thing i don't try to do that since i don't play blight billy or spirit but i also like winning so i'm not going to intentionally throw
Well, are you using currently ruin in your builds? Otherwise it wouldn't change anything for you, but it would make it better for others.

How is buffing other Generator slowdown Perks going to shake things up? You're just going from one to the other. Or worse stacking the loadout with it.
By buffing weak perks, you will create higher diversity. Most people will still use only best, but some try to find alternatives.
Meta shake up, which BHVR did was worst possible way. They nerfed everything in meta and buffed other perks, which then created exactly same problem again.
You can see how it was flawed, where they later had to buff many of those core perks that were meta again, because they were meta for reasons other than just best perks, some effects can't be replaced easily.
Lately I have seen 4 stacked slowdowns way more than I did in past, but maybe it's just my experience.

lol if that was a thing it wouldn't be worth using. i don't use corrupt for the same reason because cause the perk is punishing you for doing your objective
Well, there are killers who aim to manage 8 hooks before killing anyone and Ruin would be great for that playstyle.
-
@Crowman said:
Anytime a non slowdown perk sees use, it gets complained about and then nerfed out of existence.
Not like it happens often, because killers simply don't need good perks to sell.
RIP Ultimate weapon
-
Eruption is decent with Nowhere to hide, but you can't really use any other slowdown other than corrupt with it.
Oppression is decent with Surveilance.
Pop can work with Jagged Compass, but not really good.
Corrup and Pain res are meta for sure.
Grim embrace is meta for chase killers, who can actually down all survivors reliably.
DMS is very good overall, especially on killers who can make survivors stop working on gen without actually walking there.
I can definetly cook some builds for M1 killers, but M2 killers are kinda an issue with slowdowns. You basically have only 4 perks, where 3 of them only block gens.
Only valid regression perk imo is pain res unless you want to have build around it, then eruption can work too.
Well, we didn't get new good regression perk since Artist, unless you count CoB, which is useless at the moment.
-
The point was to get rid of it, not really to bring new meta perk for killers.
-
Just it's existance changes killer's behavior… Same for 3-gen feature.
Just because it doesn't get triggered, it doesn't mean it's not doing anything.
I have played about 20 games in a row now and every. Single. One. Had a camping killer even with no gens completed
X for doubt
-
Currently you have an issue when several, or all (you are screwed) survivors spawn separately. That is supposed to be changed in future update (I don't remember which one).
That should slow down early game quite a bit. Survivors will actually have to do some work, if they want to spread on gens.

true but I don’t know the last time I seen Billy, nurse, spirit, or Dracula. It seems to only be blight
I don't think Dracula is that good imo and I consider Blight to be simply more fun to play as than any of those.

A killer without skill expression shouldn't be buffed
I would say playing as M1 killer without a power takes quite a lot of skill…
But I think current changes are enough. -
As for best perks against:
Spirit: Iron WIll
Legion, Ghoul: MFT
Wraith: Sprint Burst
Plague, Legion: Resilience
Oni: anything to get you healthy fast
Twins: WGLF -
I mean, most killers have several options, but I can just say which one are my favorite on my most played killers:
Twins: Coup de Grâce
Shape, Ghostface: PWYF
Legion: Enduring
Oni: Unforeseen
Deathslinger: Coup de Grâce
Billy, Blight: BBQ
Artist: DMS
Chucky: Brutal strength
Lich, Singularity, Dracula: Rapid brutality
Next patch:
Pig, Skully: Whispers (so you know when to use undetectable without survivors hearing TR) -
It's kinda fake old ruin undying.
You just have to gamble on all totems, while you do it slowly… that would be kinda broken
-
No new regression (good) perk since Artist, most other regression perks nerfed even more than pain res, pain res doesn't have an issue with 3-gen feature.
Yet people are surprised killers are using one of few decent slowdown perks… -
Yeah, sadly I really wanted that shirt on Jeff, it was only cosmetic I was missing, which was highly annoying for me.
-
They are still possible to do, just not really that easily. This change is going to be bad for achievement hunters, but I would say that's rarely a reason why map offerings are used.
I just hope people finally starts using cakes/BPS… -

Tier lists are opinion pieces that streamers use to get clicks from amateurs. A killer is only ever as strong as the player's skill level. That is why low skill merchant is not a problem for me.
Just by the fact you think she is not unplayable suggests you actually lost against some.
Lol, imagine to lose against killer without power… -
Hey, what did Legion did to you? Other than deep wounds…
Feel free to complain about Xeno nerfs as you should, but leave Legion alone. Legion definetly got affected most by Mending nerfs, so it makes to give them buff.
-
Well, they were not able to fix even one addon from huntmaster they said they will change. So imagine how long it will take whole killer.

if the flick is "skill expression" then keeping the turn rate but making his hitbox precise to the club swing would surely add MORE skill expression, right? because its ALL about skill expression and high skill ceiling, not 4 man slug stomping average teams with an exploit for years, right??
I am 100% fine with reducing hitbox. I agree that would make him more difficult.
But they simply removed it, which does reduce skill expression, because it wasn't really easy to do and it makes Oni more boring imo.

Apparently it is not possible to do it with a controller, much like flicks in general.
It used to be possible tho, but they removed it. Console used to be able to flick while looking up, because you didn't have to move camera that much.
So I don't really see that as a valid reason. It can clearly be possible even for console.
-
Not really good, if you have an issue with pallets, Brutal strength is going to work way better for you, while also improving gen kicks.
Knockout takes away 1 meter of distance.
Brutal takes away 1,87 meter of distance. -
I am at 2,5k and it's getting worse.
-
Don't forget about Oni…

It's an annoying challenge, but not that difficult imo.
I am definetly more annoyed by "do something and escape as specific character". -
