They need to revert the DMS nerf and instead nerf it so that when more than one survivor is on a gen and another gets off of it, it doesn't get blocked for as long as one survivor remains repairing it. That's one of the most annoying things about it.
When you get off a gen effected my DMS in solo queue to get a save, only to find the killer camping, it is a huge penalty to deal with.

I don't agree with bringing them back, but BHVR should do the right thing and refund lost legacy skins to players that lost them.
The easiest compromise by far is this: Give players that lost their legacy ONE set of legacy skins back to one character of their choosing. So if you got P1/P2/P3 achievement before the deadline, you get to choose L1/L2/L3 on one character.
The devs can do this by:
- First, checking whether a player has prestiged before the 24th Nov 2016 deadline by looking at their steam P1/P2/P3 achievements. If they haven't, reject their application.
- Second, check their database to see if the player currently has any legacy skins. If they do, reject their application.
- Ask the user which one of the originally applicable characters they want their L1/L2/L3 on.
Done.

Nice!
Facecamping Bubbas have never had it easier. Now they can use Deadlock, DMS + PR + No Way Out/Fearmonger and remember + 10 seconds to gens. Now just 1 survivor forgetting to let go of a gen INCASE the Bubba has PR + DMS will result in giving the Bubba more time to facecamp and win the game without him having to move.
Nurses will now go back to their good old Agi + Starstruck + DMS + PR and 10 secs added to gens.
I can't help but feel that they reversed the DMS + PR change instead of fixing a bugged combo as it was the easiest thing to do. And now the strongest killers and boring (yet effective) playstyles have been buffed because of it.

9k shards. I would have easily over 100k right now but I used them all up when grinding to prestige before the progression changes (when the shrine changed everyday).

Yea or maybe you can get a unique (randomly generated every time) ID of a player after you report them, which you note down/screenshot etc.
So when I go to submit a ticket and it asks for the offending player's ID, I can write down that player's ID so the devs can quickly identify the game and the particular player. Right now it's hard to report players especially on epic games or steam from a console's perspective because they can have unreadable names. And although you can say "they were playing Jill", what if there was 2 Jill's, etc?
-
Jolt, Pain Resonance, Surveillance, No Way Out.
Surveillance will work with Jolt and Pain Resonance. Best thing about this build is you just play normally, never have to kick a gen and get easy gen defence and easy yet very strong info.

My legacy skins!🤐

That was taking so long I actually thought, is someone cheating to make it take that long?

I'm actually checking on this right now, as there's a bug report in on it. FtP had some interactions previously where using it didn't count it as a healing action - so I'm wondering about that.
I remember using FtP to try to quickly do the challenge where you need to heal 2 players up from the floor whilst using empathy in a single game. Didn't count towards that either :(

Same, hopefully they keep the old system as an option.

I think Off The Record as well as DS deactivates as soon as the 5th gen is done, not when the egc starts.
OTR's endurance status effect does not deactivate as long as you are unhooked before the 5th gen and of course as long as you do not perform any conspicuous actions.
-
Yes he is annoying to face.
But, survivors should also play better against him too. I don't see enough survivors tanking a hit for another survivor after they've been hit with feral frenzy. I also don't see any survivors flashing a legion out of his power when he vaults a window/pallet.
Both of these stop the legion from getting additional frenzy hits and are very strong tactics. If the Legion is 2 or 3 hits into his frenzy already, I often pre-drop a pallet and stand near it to bait him to vault it and then stop his frenzy combo by flashing him.
-
Not sure why they thought being able to (somewhat) silently cleanse/open a chest was too good and that it had to have a downside?
-
IMO it's not real. Survivors have always had a way of getting out of an unfun, boring, seemingly unbeatable etc game quickly - and they use it. Now that camping and tunneling has been buffed and, survivors nerfed and killers buffed and with Nurse still in the game etc you just see more moving onto the next game quickly.

Trying to break out of a committed 3-gen has to be the definition of insanity now.
Every gen gets kicked, killer chases you off, you come back, work 5 seconds, get chased off again, work on it a little longer, get it to 60%..
Killer downs someone, Eruption pops, incapacitates everyone, regresses the gens by like 25%, killer comes back and kicks the gens..
Maybe 3 gen doctor's will make a comeback so you'll also have to snap out of it too...

@RatbasterdJr said:
Here’s a solution… here me out… don’t give the killer a 3 gen… so many survivors just jump gen to closest gen. You create a 3 gen this way. Skip over gens, go to the over side of the map, etc. A 3 gen can be influenced by the killer, but ultimately decided by the survivors.
It's not "ultimately decided by survivors", it's commonly said survivors can avoid it by playing better but the reality is, a killer can 3 gen from the very start of the game.

From personal experience, yes, you can still purchase the DLC via a steam key, just make sure you get it from a trusted source. It's not bannable, all you're doing is activating a game DLC key.
Only thing is, they will be expensive as you can't purchase them any other way anymore, so probably about £35+ for the stranger things dlc.
-
Survivor mains can still complain about things on the other side, whilst using it themselves. When I played more killer, I used to complain about pre-pre-pre nerfed DS but I still used it as a survivor and nowadays I complain about ranged Nurse, yet if I want some easy games or want to speed run challenges I'll play her.
You can acknowledge strats/perks/killers are too oppressive whilst also using them yourself.

In DBD time 260hrs is not much, at all. You've still got a lot to learn!

I assume it still gives extra bp too? Faster gens more bp makes sense to me
Especially now you can get 10k BP per category

@Tsulan said:
If you don't enjoy one role, then it's usually a good idea to just play the other role.
I've been wanting to play more killer but killer queues seem to be 3+ mins minimum no matter the time whilst survivor queues are always under 30 seconds.

I was called out for using the "crutch" self-care, botany knowledge combo by a popular streamer 💀
-
I noticed one of my comments was edited but not really in a noticeable way. I think the only thing edited was the guy I quoted and his comment got removed. Edits for that reason are probably quite common.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Using an overly complex formula, can confirm that @Deadeye and @SkeletalElite are correct.
Combining Self-Care and Botany Knowledge in patch 6.1.0 will take 30.48 seconds to heal yourself.
I was very excited to use this combo and even used it with desperate measures... I thought I'd get to heal myself basically as fast as a normal heal but that is definitely NOT the case :(

It would be way better if the username was BIG and the character name was LITTLE.
Yea, swap them around!

As others said, K&M is MUCH better for killer. Survivor is more of a preference although you still have a small advantage with K&M. Some advantages include:
- Better binds (I think default binds for controllers have healing and pulling down a pallet as the same bind)
- Better accuracy with flashlights
- Probably debatable but I feel like you'd have an easier time quickly snapping back and forward to look around you in a chase
- And I guess if you really want to, moonwalking is much easier on K&M than with controller...
That being said controller lets you walk even slower/in slow motion which is kinda funky at the exit gates 😎 (I'll sometimes have my controller plugged in on the side just to perform these tricks!)
-
Honestly I haven't used it much because when I did use it I didn't get much use out of it. When you're getting tunneld off the hook you typically get hit quickly and so BT would suffice. I think overall I prefer BT because it still works end game and OTR and DS don't. I'm also using Adrenaline over OTR and DS simply because of this reason.
I also think I prefer the nerfed DS over it because you can be hit with BT and still use your DS.

How I still have to deal with this after all of the basekit killer buffs, longer gen times and meta survivor perk nerfs:
-
@emetSdidnothingwrong said:
It truly is amazing how many people said survivor meta wasn't unfair or a crutch but just look at everyone on these forums complaining about how OP killers are now and how they are constantly dying. Guess what homie, maybe killer isn't to good maybe you just had no business in the MMR you were carried to by extremely busted perk combos. Game isn't balanced around you having 4 hook states and 3 health states while also making no sounds at all.
It's easy to say it's just because of the survivor perk changes but it's actually a combination of all of the base killer buffs; the fact killers still have very good slow down perks; how camping has been buffed; bloodlust has been buffed; how nurse is still the same; Blight addons are the same; how no improvements were made to solo queue and because there are new tiles to get used to on various maps.
Also add to the fact that DH could be used to counteract the rubber banding issue... I had multiple scenarios where I died at very safe loops yesterday because of rubber banding.
-
There are some really weird window tiles in the middle of suffocation pit now, most of which seem worse (from my 1 game on it). Interesting to see this though, obviously too good
-
@Gorgonia said:
Basekit kindred would fix many things... specially bad survivors taking wrong decisions xD
It's certainly an easy change that would vastly improve solo queue coordination
-
It's really not that deep, BHVR clearly isn't scared of criticism as they constantly make controversial decisions. After feedback from the community they simply took a step back to think about the HUGE implications of a single perk change, regarding those that relied on it to play the game. I think BHVR's quick u-turn on this should be appreciated (even though there should be better base game accessibility options).
BHVR should have another look at Spinechill AFTER they add better accessibility options. I suggest adding an option to use DBD mobile's heartbeat indicator which is actually amazing as I had to play without sound once and it was still a good experience.
-
They buffed gen times, reduced the distance gained after a hit and buffed bloodlust (who asked for it to be buffed?). They also nerfed DS and DH, both of which previously helped ease the pain slightly when playing against the top of the range killers.
The only real benefit solo survivors get now is a guarenteed 5 second base BT... which does absolutely nothing against tunneling. In fact, sadly BT is still a must have perk for me because of the buff to camping playstyles and because there is no chance that an unhooked survivor is escaping end game without it due to the DS nerf.
Poor matchmaking and survivors doing challenges doesn't help either, or nurse players. Solo queue has gone from bad to worse.
-
All survivors and hillbilly
-
and it does get a bit annoying when a survivor keeps spamming it to get your attention like some lost kid in a park
I feel like you're asking for the wrong thing. Instead of blocking the pallet, the devs should instead simply stop giving you the notification after X amount of vaults in X seconds when you're X meters away.
-
They should also have made it so if a hooked survivor is close to NOED, it deactivates or changes spawn location (if possible). Currently when a survivor is hooked by NOED there is very little counter play.
-
I will miss using DH against Nurse or Blight's using crazy good addons because it helped a lot against them and their top addons. But on the other hand although it sounds odd... I'm kind of happy it's being nerfed because I will no longer feel at a huge disadvantage when using another perk in its place. I can't think to myself "if only I had DH". Basically, a new perk slot has unlocked for me now!
One thing I really fear though is the rise of basement trappers now that DH is being nerfed... hopefully it doesn't catch on.
-
I have a weird thing where I leave one of every glyph colour uncompleted as well as the flower challenge. So I'll never FULLY complete every tome, although am slowly back tracking all of my killer challenges. I like bringing in the flower and it sometimes has curious visitors which is funny, so it shall not be harvested!
-
Out of the many things being nerfed, I was looking forward to a few things like the Botany buff but even that has a downside now. Which definitely doesn't kill it but whatever.
I was also happy that although DS was being nerfed there was a VERY good alternative to use end game - Off The Record. But it doesn't work in end game anymore which was its MAIN appeal to me. So now I see myself still using BT instead of Off The Record since at least that will still work in end game (I think!).
-
But it would just lead to players only playing survivors with a meta perk they intend to use. We'd see a lot more Mikaelas, Bill's, or even Zarina (because of Off The Record), etc. And we'd see even less Jeff's!
And it doesn't really make sense for killers to have to use one of their personal perks because they have their own unique powers.
-
@Vlarian said:
They don't want to play differently.
This argument is so, so overplayed.
-
Everyone says they said this and I don't doubt they did. But you really need to take everything BHVR says with a grain of salt. They have released many many exclusives (even if they don't technically call them exclusives) since they said what they supposedly said.
-
I had no one prestiged. But since the announcement I've P3'd all survivors and Hillbilly since they first announced a "distinct reward". There was quite a few still at P2-50 since I was trying to maximize my Flan usage but I got so fed up of using medicore perks I just P3'd them early. So I finished my goal about 2 weeks ago.
I'm also happy to say I managed to transfer my only 3rd year firecracker to a friend and back to me again once I P3'd Claudette. (Note: a 3rd friend absolutely 100% did not play as killer to secure the transferring of it back and fourth... really...)
-
Luck offerings have a place with yeeting off hook builds, especially when combined with Slippery Meat and Up The Ante. Mist can have its uses with stealth killers and sabo builds.
Just remove all of the offerings except the 'very rare' (purple) ones and the common one that reduces the thickness of the mist.
-
- Hillbilly - Hillybilly
- Deathslinger - Deathwinger/Winger
- Leatherface - Leatherpig/Big pig (I call him this so much I almost forget he's actually called Leatherface)
- The Pig - Small pig
- Nemesis - Nemesus (my friend started calling him this and I think it's funny!)
-
Yes, if the option was there I would blacklist Nurse and Spirit. Maybe Bubba instead of Spirit because they are so annoying when facecamping! But I don't think there should be such an option.
-
Nope
