Most survivor streamers are just SWF groups doing the clicky-clicky, tea-bagging and being toxic whenever possible. Give me a Killer streamer any time of the day.
-
If they removed the cooldown, it certainly would be. I don't understand why a Hex perk got a cooldown.
-
I honestly don't like the cane as a weapon. It looks out of place.

They depip anyways. There is no difference. I've watched killers just walk around swinging at the air. Not afk, but clearly depip matches. I've seen survivors run up and wait to be downed just to suicide on hook. I run Trapper, so no like it's a killer people hate. They just want a quick death for the depip.
Rank means nothing in this game. I'm as boosted as they come as survivor, yet I'm rank 2?! No, I'm not good as survivor. I only play it 10-20% of the time. I'm a colorblind Trapper yet I get to red ranks easily and stay there. Ranking up is easy. Losing rank is easy as well. The ranks are merely a number.
Except they'll get a ramping DC penalty and will have to wait longer and longer between each game if they do. At least its like that now when the DC Penalties are enabled again.
-
A lot of the grind would be reduced if we stopped having three levels per perk and instead just had one single level per perk.

Well, SWF can't be ignored. The ever growing effect it is having on the Meta is plain to everyone now. When almost all the generators are up within 3-4 minutes, what else could the DEV do but try to put thing in to slow it down? :) I made the suggestion that there be three types of game:
- Solo Que where all identifying information is only given at the end of the match to prevent any ability to setup a quick comms. People in this que could only enter solo (no groups).
- Group Que where people enter as a group, and the DEV could therefore balance the game for SWF's 5th Perk (Comms) by requiring an extra generator to open the gates, and/or whatever else is required to offset their out of game advantage.
- Custom games exactly as custom games are now.
This would have provided two out of three options where people could play with their friends for "fun" but allowed for things to be balanced. Oh the horror! The reactions of those on the SWF front that they might have to give up their clearly unfair advantage was ridiculous. Well, now you can thank SWF for a different way of balancing things. Because in the end, it MUST be balanced. Thus are born the Perks which pretty much require you to do Bones and double and/or triple the required objectives to get out.
Can Killers choose with queue they wanna join?
-
If you give Killers a legal way to depip, its going to be exploited.

Did you just counter my post about lying by bootlicking and describing lying? 🤥
Please check my comment history. I ain't no bootlicker.
And no, withholding information is not lying. Lying is stating something that's false.

They mentioned on Twitter that they've re-enabled the DC penalty again.

DBD devs lying to their customers? Naaaaah
Lying happens but its mostly withholding information/data and being vague with the community.

I partially agree. But it is really really rare for survivor to gain more than 28k bp, and for killer it is pretty normal. It is possible to gain even 32k bp as survivor, but it is just legendary rare moments. Killer having 32k bp is much more common compare to survivors no matter how good survivor is.
Because its easier for the Killer to get points in every category (as they all involve interaction with the Survivors) and he have to stay the longest (more chances for interactions).
Survivors would get a lot of points as well if all of their categories required interactions with the Killer, but they don't. Only one category for survivors directly involve interaction with the Killer (Boldness), one requires the killer to do damage to survivors (Altruism) and the other two is purely based on the survivor themselves. Objective in particular can be hard to get if you end up being chased all game and Survival is hard overall, since it requires you to escape for most points.
-
I think the BP offerings need a rework.

Good point. I think if survivors could have as much bloodpoints as killers, it woult be great for game health. It means more people play survivors and instant lobbies for killers. Queue tmes are better with crossplay, but there is still a room to decrease queue times for killers.
The problem is that the Killer (and one survivor) needs to stay for the entirety of the trial's duration. The game ends when the last survivor escapes or is sacrificed/killed. You cannot boost the BP gain for survivors overall because it'd make people less inclined to play Killer.
-
I hope they'll just make the Killers we have that all share the Trapper skeleton to have unique animations. It really feels like a lot of killers are the same when they have the same animations for everything except basic attacks and their power.

Pretty sure they don't have dogs for pets in Russia.
You're thinking of bears.
Fine. They're probably louder.

It has been a while since Killers got to enjoy good perks. They are without a doubt getting nerfed when they hit Live. Its a BHVR tradition.

Same. But everything "DbD Killer" so far have failed.

His perks seem pretty strong and it have been a while since Killers had good perks. I fully suspect them to be nerfed.
The Killer itself doesn't work in the buggy mess with cluttered maps that's Dead by Daylight.
-
Him. And no, he won't be. Everything I've seen so far is that he's pretty subpar.

I don't want to listen to a russian kid playing DbD in the kitchen with their parents fighting in the background while trying cooking food, and the dog barking at it all.

Ah yes, I should have to waste a perk slot in order to counteract a game health issue, brilliant.
Its BVHR's favorite way of solving balance issues. Band-aids! There's one for every problem.
-
If players DC, the game's over. Might as well end it and move on to the next game. Playing nice with the three remaining players are just gonna spend a lot of extra time.
Its not like a survivor would ever go easy on a killer because they have a bad game. Its t-bagging at the exit gate as usual.

I agree with @Pawcelot. The solo queue experience in this game is not the best and crossplay is irrelevant and has nothing to do with it. Nothing changed.
That's not completely true. Depending on who you ask, the queues seem to have improve / gotten worse since the introduction of Crossplay. Still. I think more players in the pool is better.
-
I used to play her plenty back in the day but I ended up getting ill from motion sickness. I'd still love to get back at playing her but like, I don't want to have a bucket next to me because I want to play a certain killer.
-
Solo queue has always been the worst experience in Dead by Daylight, so this comes as nothing new.

For me, the Alien franchise ended with the second film, Aliens.
The other films were simply -drum roll-....DREAMS 😁 that Ripley had in hypersleep. There was no facehugger onboard etc. Ripley and Hicks got together and adopted Newt.
This. Alien and Aliens are the two only film in the franchise that I consider to be canon. The rest were them milking the franchise.

I have that crap disabled anyway. I wouldn't be affected if console people got leave messages or not.

Add a lobby UI for SWF survivors.
Add a BP bonus to Killers snd solo survivors who play against/together with SWFs, the bonus scaling depending on how many survivors are in a SWFs.
Profit!
And people worrying about lobby dodging. There will be lobby dodging in the beginning but the last stats we got about SWFs showed that 70%+ of all games got a SWF in it, the dodging would drop pretty fast. Killers wanna play and playing the "SWFs in the lobby - I gotta do the dodgy" game ain't it.
-
Playing killer is a tiny step up from playing solo survivor. Both can be horrible experiences.

They had a Steam account. Does that mean they don't own a PS4/Xbox/Switch? I have a steam account and I own the game on all 3 of those consoles.
This. Why would I not use "Pawcelot" for every platform I am part of? Its me!

Seeing an OoO player on the map makes me just disconnect straight away. That map is awful and exploitable.

Copy and pasting this from a comment I made on another DS post:
I think Scott Jund almost nailed it. His idea was DS last for a much shorter time, like 30 seconds after being unhooked. If you are in a chase then the timer does not go down, it could last all game as long as you are always in a chase. If you touch a gen, get in a locker, touch a totem, heal a teammate or any action like that at all, DS deactivates. However, since this would make DS an anti tunneling perk only, I think a longer stun time or even better, a speed boost for the survivor during that stun time, would make DS better as it is only possible to use this to stop a tunneler. This way the perk can't be used offensively. It only works if that survivor is being genuinely tunneled otherwise it will have deactivated, and it gives the survivor the time and/or speed to get away. Mix this with quick and quiet or dance with me or a similar perk and the survivor is saved from the tunnel with no way for the perk to be abused. If anyone can find a flaw in this, let me know cus I would like to see it. This seems like the perfect way for DS to work.
The big problem about the current version of DS is that it can be used offensively. Having 60 seconds of "you cannot do anything to me or you'll waste your time or eat a stun" is a problem.

Clown just needs some number buffs. If they don't want to improve his map pressure game, he needs a better chase game.
-
Wouldn't it be better to have a dedicated page to all the various teachable perks in the game and then let us buy any of them, at any time, for an increased Iridescent Shard cost?

Huntress. She's ripped as #########. If she get speared, she'll just reel HIM in and introduce him to the good old one-two combo.

I'd even want Springtrap over Pennywise, to be honest.

Welcome to the consequences of survivors constantly asking for killer nerfs:
The killer variety disappears!
Also this. There's a lot of killers who're not worth using in the higher ranks on PC unless you're determined or a masochist, so variety disappears.
-
It might just be the huge influx of players from Crossplay. I've heard that the queues are longer for survivors and the longer you wait in a queue, the more lax the matchmaking gets to match you. You might be matched with people who've already been waiting for a while.
-
Its just how things are in the meta on PC. No doubt you people on console got your own set of "we only play against these 5 killers all the time".
-
Maybe the latest update unlocked ways to increase your FoV through nefarious ways? This isn't normal though. Pinging @Peanits @not_Queen so they can send it forward to the correct person.
-
Its why I have disabled the chat and no one can leave comments on my Steam profile. I only suffer the harassment during the match itself and nowhere else. The community is too far gone for salvation at this point.
-
BHVR's prioritization overpriced skins and cosmetics, together with a DLC with new stuff every 3 months.. despite their game being a buggy unoptimized mess and there being a huge amount of perks that's literally useless and other stuff.
The only reason they reverted the MMR system was because it caused new (and old) players to leave because of the buggy matchmaking. New players in particular are potential cash cows so losing them is real bad.
-
Press the button there and the chat will disappear and you'll never have to care what they write to you.

Or... just remove the Shrine lol.
This system is garbage and encourages people to pay for perks instead that give you an advantage (e.g. DS not showing up for like 5+ months.
Just allow players to buy perks and increase the Iridescent Shard cost to like 3500. Infinitely better system.
I'd not mind this at all.
-
I'd not mind to have Springtrap in Dead by Daylight.
-
In every competitive multiplayer game out there with a working ELO/MMR system, a player is able to know where they are in the system and if they're moving up or down after games. Dead by Daylight shouldn't be an exception.
How else are we supposed to know that there even is a system in place? For all we know, they could just be matching the first available players together for quicker queues and call that a MMR system. We wouldn't know.

Well, like I said, if SWFs aren't such an issue, it wouldn't hurt to let everybody know they are going against SWF.
And if everybody is going to dodge SWF, then SWF is an issue that needs to be addressed.
This. The data will show how badly SWF impact the game. I don't think it'll matter much if we could see the SWFs or not, and I doubt many will care about it after a few weeks. It'll be a dodging increase in the beginning, that's for granted. It'll stop.

Eh. I dunno. The heat dissipation was kinda.. high. Unless you tried to overheat, you couldn't.
