Distortion is a perk that exists.
Also Id prefer if Killers ran Lethal Pursuer, since Killers running it are running 1 less slowdown perk minimum. Since it increases the duration of other Aura Reading effects, people often run it with other Aura Reading perks, which means less slowdown.
The Killer is opting to replace regression with perks that help them gain more pressure or make smarter micro/macro-game decisions, and I think it is a fair trade-off.

Just run Distortion, it counters it and any perks that the killer likely uses together with it.
Im not getting into another distortion discussion. Its already been discussed in both my original post and further down the line in comments. So please refer to those as to why Distortion is a bad idea.

Low MMR is (from what I know) beginner MMR and I doubt the first thing new players do is to go to nightlightgg and track their matches. Rather average and experience players with a good amount of hours use nightlightgg or give the websitethe information. However, this does not change the fact that this is a more reliable source than "I don't see the perk so nobody uses this perk". From my experience I see this perk quite often.
You said that nobody use Distortion and I gave you a source that proofs that players use Distortion. And currently this is a more trustworthy source. Nothing more. You should have been more precise beforehand that you also want to know the escape rate of the perk. Thus, I doubt it that Distortion is the reason why players with this perk have a low espace rate. If we take away the random stuff (bad match, someone gave up ect) it's because the team played bad or the killer played better.
Just because Lethal pursuer has a high pickrate doesn't mean it's unhealthy but it's strong which is nobody denying. But a strong perk is not automatically unhealthy and the topic is about the point that LP is unhealthy.
Yes, you did. But you didnt really do much beyond that. I literally never see it in my matches though. Its pointless to discuss my anecdotal experience now because youve brought the actual statistics into the argument. My original argument wasnt about statistics though. Its just about the nature of the game. Killers should, at the start of the match, have to find the first survivor on their own unless LP offers some type of drawback. We have a survivor perk that gives us 15% off all of our objectives (Gens) at the cost of one survivor becoming broken. Killers are rewarded for using LP on the other hand.
And if you wanna discuss statistics, fine. Can you really argue that its providing any actual benefit when the escape rate for survivors using it has declined repeatedly over the last year despite its usage increasing? Even if we factor all of the changes to killer and the game in general, its still not providing any benefit if its usage is increasing. This is opposed to Lethal Pursuer that has seen its usage only increase with its win rate remaining the same. So that means more killers are using it and the fact that the win rate remains constant should be a major red flag. Its too powerful. Its not healthy for the game. Its only perk-equivelant counter on the other hand is not providing any benefit as per your stats. Whats there to argue about that? -
@Blizer said:
WIth Lethal, I Dont think it's super unhealthy, but with how popular it is, id say as survivor not running Distortion, you do need to take a good look of whats around you (Or use Windows) to get a quick exit strategy if the killer gets on you early.
I can guarantee that for myself, but not the rest of my solo Q teammates. Its just not a fair perk, man. Killers (rightfully so) didnt like survivors getting huge chunks off their first generator done with BNPs and so that was nerfed. Why should killers get part of their objective done at the start of the match? I think we can all agree that just giving players parts of their objective at the start of the match, with no downsides, is unhealthy for the game. Killers should have to find the survivors on their own at the start of the match. I dont think thats an unreasonable ask when killers are overperforming.

@C3Tooth said:
Lethal is only problem with Blight or Nurse can start chase in 4 seconds, then the remaining 5 seconds used as wall hack to hit a survivor. Other than that, its fine.
I think killers should have 3 seconds of killer instinct at the start of the game ase basekit to get the general spawning of survivor.
Wesker, Spirit, Vecna, Twins, Billy, Huntress, Legion, Artist (w/ crows, kinda)…

I dislike Lethal Pursuer because I’m bad at looping and prefer more of a stealth play style unless I need to take a hook for someone. Not because it’s unhealthy or poorly balanced. It’s actually a well designed perk because the community have repeatedly told BHVR that the best part of the game is “the chase” and this perk lets the Killer start chases rather than run around looking for survivors hiding behind rocks.
This is really a case of “git gud”. All of a maps resources are available at the start of the match, no one worth their salt should be going down before at least one gen gets completed. I’d argue two gen’s should be done to be honest. And if you really struggle, Distortion is an option.
Im not bad at looping, however, Im no Ayrun either. That being said though, I dont disagree with you that killer interaction is what makes the game fun. Even though I was my former competitive teams gen jockey and I have no issues sitting on gens and completing the objective, its still fun to loop when I get the opportunity. What isnt fun, however, is having that chase start too early and the killer getting a down before survivors have even had the opportunity to spread out and start on generators. And weve already discussed distortion and how it doesnt actually provide any benefit.
-
@HolyDarky said:
Xernoton already made very good points and I agree with this.
Lethal Pursuer is a healthy perk for the metagame. The start of the match is the weakest moment for every killer and this perks helps with it like Corrupt. In addition, just because the killer knows where you are, doesn't mean they can hook you. When you hear the terrorradius, you can still go to a safe loop to give the killer not an easy down. If you're in a chase, this means the other survivor are able to work on a generator and it's up to you how long these survivors can work on a generator.
Distortion is a bad counter to this because killers have so many aura
reading perks and add-ons now that no survivor should run distortion,
ever, because it will eat up your stacks. Fast. This doesn't change the fact that it still counters Lethal Pursuer. If the killer runs a full aura build, they deserve it that one perk runs out of token faster than it gets them back (4perks vs. 1perk out of 16perks should be fine?)
Doesnt it also defeats the purpose of the game? The killer should be
spawning in and have to find survivors on their own. Its literally part
of the killer experience and just giving it to them is kinda…dumb. After using, LP the killer has to do this. The player also uses a perkslot for an early help which should be fine. So it's not dumb it's an exchange.

According to nightlight.gg Distortion is in 10th place of most used survivor perks. I think this statistic is more trustworthy than a feeling or what is your source?
Perhaps at lower MMRs. I dunno. I just never see it. But I think #10 is way different than #4, right? Also I like how you failed to mention that even though distortion is #10, the escape rate while using it has declined steadily in the past year. So while it may be #10, its clearly not providing any advantage. Lets not use stats unfairly.

6.1.0. When we had that whole gen kick meta and Thanatophobia on top of that. Why do you think we have the anti 3gen mechanic now? Because it was possible to hold the game hostage. That was way worse than what we have now. Also, @OmegaXII is correct. The most popular slowdown perks were nerfed this patch. So gen speeds are higher than they were in the last patch. Objectively speaking.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3735368#Comment_3735368
Unfortunately this is a problem with both sides. Whatever category of perks it is, someone will always have an issue and complain. At this point, we need a game mode with no perks for these people. Though they probably wouldn't play that since it means they can't use their favorite meta perks either.
Lethal Pursuer is definitely a good perk. I use it pretty often and not having to worry about spawning in the middle of the map with nothing to help you guess where the survivors could have spawned is a great quality of life improvement. It's also good on killers like Nemesis and Doctor, that want to hit multiple survivors with their power.
I like how you say, "these people" yet you just made a post back in March suggesting changes to the perk WoO. If you arent the pope, dont preach.

Of course I can, Ruin Undying meta... Combine it with Infinite tinkerer and we were playing for a while.
Gen kick meta? That was also way longer games.
Im referring to the actual gen speeds. Not additional perks. I should have specified. The base time it takes to complete a generator is longer than it ever has been, excluding slowdown perks. But this post isnt about that. I can work through gen slow down, but giving killers 100% aura reading right at the start of the match, without any downside, is kind of unfair.

First we nerf slowdowns for the 4th time and now we want aura reading gutted next? What perks do you want me to use? Why does my fun not matter? Am I allowed to use 4 vault speed perks or is that too strong?
You know what happens when you get rid of Lethal Pursuer? Corrupt intervention happens. And you’ll see it every. single. game. And then that will get complained about and nerfed AGAIN.
There are NOT enough good or fun perks in this game to keep nerfing them. Not to mention I play Huntress who ALREADY can’t use 1/5th the perks in the game because M1 perks are trash on her and stealth perks are also garbage on her.
If aura reading gets nerfed I’m gonna have to go back to 4 slowdowns and idk if I can actually handle that. I don’t even know why I’m trying to stop it, it’s gonna happen regardless.
I dunno, man. Id love to get rid of Off the Record and Decisive Strike in favour of other perks, but despite being the most powerful killers have ever been, theyre still resorting to tunneling which forces me to use those two perks. The meta changes constantly. You either adapt or dont.

Yes. If I have to deal with dead zones when I play as survivor, I can handle dead zones when I play as killer.

Every update I'm reminded that Behavior no longer cares about its casual players. Every change recently has been to just beat off the high ranking players, while casuals like me are being kicked in the face. Removing fast vaults? Are you serious!? Ayrun or Otz does one video and the whole game is changed so they will dick ride behavior. I love the aliens chapter so much (if you go into my post history youll see! Extatic about it!) but for it to come alongside a downright STUPID change that makes survivor genuenly less fun I cant. The old fast vault change was great for me because I dont have 0 ping, but revertting it made sense. It was fine. But now fast vaults are gone out of nowhere! NExt theyre gonna remove vaults alltogether!
Not quite casual. Former competition player here, but stopped and went solo queue only for the last two years. Didnt feel the need to complain about any other killer until alien. Its basically rework Freddy all over again and I have no idea how that got into the game when they know that by giving killers the ability to do everything it ruins the game on every level.

What's the 'easily executable counter' to Huntress chasing you around a pallet loop?
If you drop the pallet she hatchet's you, if you don't, she catches up and M1s you.
Those are both easy to do. Or just run erratically. Or bait the hatchets. And she's only gonna catch up with you if you dont drop the pallet before she's bloodlusting. That takes a while with Huntress as she's a 110 killer. You'd have gone around the loop enough times by then to drop the pallet on her by surprise as she might expect another loop.
This is also fair counterplay as the killer at any time can decide to respect the pallet and chuck a hatchet.

Xenomorph is actually fine considering how fast gen speed still is.
If people want gen speeds to stay fast, then killers need to be stronger. Xeno's strength is not inappropriate.
OK so this is an opinion. Most likely from someone who doesn't play survivor, or if they do, its only SWF. Solo queue is currently broken with current gen speeds and killer oppressiveness and definitely needs some adjustments.
Alien isn't helping.

If there's an easily executable counter, then the killer isn't dangerous.
Huntress has an easily executable counter. So does nurse. Are they not dangerous killers?
-
Its not balanced at all. Ducked behind the side of the hood of a car on Haddonfield. Killer on opposite side of the car. Tail still hit by flicking it to the side after fully extended. Killer powers should all have an easily executable counter. Not necessarily that itll work every time, but not something that requires thousands of hours in the game and reflexes faster than most humans are capable of to execute. Most of the playerbase is not the top 1% of elite survivors and as an 85%ish percent of the time solo queue player this is honestly making the game boring and unplayable as my teammates drop so quickly that its impossible to win. Ive even resorted to Overcome/Lucky Break to ensure I never get caught. And tbh thats an unfair survivor perk combo.

Killers cant really claim the game is survivor sided when killers have basically been spoon-fed 4ks by the devs with killers like Skull Merchant, Knight, and Xenomorph along with all of the other buffs received over the last two years. Just sayin'. Anyone losing now is either unskilled or they went against a group that was just better than them.

Honestly i would like to see more representation other than David. However, that's what I would say if they didnt just neglect and cast him aside. So now, I would rather focus on gameplay, content with skins etc since i accepted that this is just a business. So money is more of a priority than representation. Because i lost all hope in them in that regard.
So normally Im not against representation as long as its fair and not overdone. Unfortunately, and these are just my feelings, but I feel like LGBT representation is way overdone. We make up less than 10% of the population in total and yet we are in EVERYTHING. Painfully so. To the point that to make sure that a gay character is included they gotta hit all the stereotypes. And although Im happy that BHVR did listen to the people that were against adding a gay character for fear of stereotypes and instead just took an existing one and made them gay, it was still against the wishes of many that didnt want inclusion at all like myself. Im here to play a game.
That being said though, part of my current gripe is that years ago I predicted todays current events in regards to LGBT representation and acceptance and tried to warn people. But here we are. The LGBT community is at its lowest in years in terms of societal acceptance and its because society pushed us to the front of EVERYTHING and people were tired of it.
I still hold out that theyll just focus on making it balanced. But I dont think itll happen. And I hope they eventually start making skins again for David if you enjoy playing him. Sorry we are both in a ######### situation. And to OP as well.

It changed after BHVR said he was gay (and his chances of getting cosmetics dropped with his popularity). I remember getting one or two David every game before that, now I see him probably as much as Jane, which is to say quite rarely. Maybe the DH nerf also have something to do with it, but most people don't play characters because of their teachables.
I told the devs two years ago in many heated debates that lgbt representation was not necessary (As we're over represented. Note: Im gay) in DBD. Two years later, we got this. And the numerous posts in FB groups talking about how its always killers with pride flags (or especially the trans flag) that are toxic. And if those killers arent actually gay or trans, they're using those symbols as an excuse to paint us in a bad light. Felix has also been mentioned by people not wanting to play him anymore as they figure he's now gay. 😴
Itd be really nice if we discarded representation in this game and just focused on creating a fun, close to balanced game as possible.

How is anyone supposed to know it means "I'm being camped"? That's incredibly unintuitive.
Through the grapevine. Lol. That's how I learned about it.
-
The Game map is definitely kinda unfair for killers. I get that they compensate the lack of vaults with the number of pallets but there's definitely way too many strong pallets. As for whether it should be changed? I dunno. :/ Killers have maps like Shelter Woods where the middle is just a giant deadzone and you can get really bad RNG and have one side of just T/L walls leaving the other sides with just a few pallets. Then you've got the Dead Dog Saloon where the main building is amazing but the rest of the map is horrendous and full of completely unsafe pallets where no matter what you do the killer gets a free hit unless they're...not the brightest crayon in the box. And on that map there's a hook every 10 feet making breakout builds basically useless. If they're gonna balance the game out of fairness, all maps should get the same treatment.
-
Nurse requires a lot of skill to learn to play and does have counterplay in most situations.
Spirits on the other hand just throw on Stridor and jack up the volume on their headphones (Or even use mixers to amplify the effect of Stridor) and they have zero counterplay. Its crazy how one perk can unbalance a killer so much. But, such is the case with Spirit. :/
If Spirits don't use Stridor I respect them for their skill but if they do then you're basically playing on easy mode on the equivelant of a 4 man SWF.
-
How is this a question? lol. Freddy is insanely OP and was in need of some serious nerfs the second he dropped. No killer should be anti-loop as hard as Freddy and then be able to teleport across the map in seconds WHILE having slowdown built into his add ons.
Ghostface is sadly just a stealth killer and ya he can insta down but unless you're really good with it its better to just give survivors a smack and catch em off guard later with Nurse's.

I can see a way more"this is not horror anymore" threads . Also, how a neon street or a techno beat factory have to do with his lore? He's a idol, not a christmas Tree
You can turn anything into horror, though. Schools are not normally scary but they can be made to be that way. Same with hospitals, police stations, etc... A neon-light filled street could absolutely be a horror setting. Look at Resident Evil 3 remake. The shopping district had tons of lights and stuff and they did a good job at creating a horror atmosphere in my opinion.

we are not talking about cosplay here.
We are talking to how people with specific harmful mindsets are drawn to liking certain characters and using these characters as justification to be harmful towards others.
Can you provide an example or two that stem from gaming? I know copycat killers exist but like I've stated above I have never heard of someone emulating a videogame character and using that as justification to do crime. People have said the same about violent videogames since the dawn of gaming and studies have constantly proved that false.
-
@MeltingPenguins said:
For everyone saying there is no correlation between characters like this in fiction and violence against women etc in real life perpetuated by those who thing these kind of characters are 'cool'.
There is long since the notion of 'if you date a guy and he says 'fight club' is his fav movie etc, RUN'...
Because while liking a fictional character does not equal you wanting to be them, but there is an overlap of what kinds of characters certain people like (and why).
so, you are being quite ignorant when you say there's no chance anything bad could come of this because the character is just fictional.
Bruh. People have always emulated videogame character's aesthetics. But nobody is going to go out there and become the DbD Serial Killer. I've seen a lot of dudes emulate Sephiroth in my time, but I've never heard of anyone going on a samurai sword killing spree through the streets because he did the same to ShinRa HQ.

I can't imagine a neon or studio map with a lot of pallest and space to jump trought, so I see their point.
Twins and Blight are too specific lore killers to have a map
How hard would it be to create a small section of a city with back alleys and what not with a map and pallets to loop? Heck, there could even be a couple of small buildings that have generators and a few windows to loop like Haddonfield and Springwood.
-
I'm not trying to discredit your experiences or anything. We all live very different lives and many of us have experienced hardships that others can't hope to comprehend and I'm sorry you've lived a very difficult life and hope you find peace. However, DbD is intended to be a horror game. A horror game is meant to tug at your fears and mess with you. I can't tell if you play DbD or just saw the character on Twitter or something but If it's too much or you're not in a place in your life where you feel you're stable enough to handle it I suggest you stay away from horror games until you can. Or realize its just a game and even though you're seeing a manifestation of your worst fears the game can't actually hurt you. And men with his aesthetic already exist in Asia. So, I don't really see anyone emulating him. They'd be emulating the style more than anything.
-
As a console player I'm really looking forward to Trickster. Huntress isn't as forgiving as Trickster on console.
-
The killer's perks are really good, but they have their own issues too.
The window vaulting one is a hex and just won't be used as most killers don't know how to apply gen pressure without ruin. And if they bring ruin odds are they bring undying. They're not gonna bring three hex perks. Lol
The one where you pick up survivors isn't really that strong either. Its ONLY for killer's within the terror radius. Just don't body block when you get exposed. Lol
And the last one...I mean there are situations where that could be annoying you'd have to design your whole build around endgame and I just don't see a lot of killers doing that. You can literally just hide for 40 seconds.
-
Honestly I'd love a chapter or two of just new maps.

You're never going to improve by giving up. I find killer leagues easier than survivor. It's definitely the power role and a lot of people will disagree with me on that, but I had to lose a lot to get to that point. And during those losses I would take mental notes of what I could have done better and what the survivors were doing to me so that I could learn from my mistakes. The issue with killer is that its so mind numbingly easy at low ranks that you can zone out to get your 4ks. As you get up in ranks that becomes less and less possible as survivors get better. You need to really practice to get better.
Here's a few tips to go against red ranks:
- Altruism kills. If you're truly in a SWF bully squad they all wanna make it out alive. Always check around the hook before leaving. Ive found that upwards of 70% of the time someone is just waiting to save once you leave. If you can find this person and down them quickly then you should pull everyone else off their generators.
- Learn your loops. There are plenty of good killers out there that produce content that can show you how to loop everything effectively.
- Until you get better at killer, play killers that are easier to use.
- IF YOU DONT KNOW WHERE ANYONE ELSE IS DO NOT GO FOR SURVIVORS OFF GENS UNLESS YOU KNOW NOBODY ELSE IS ON A GENERATOR. You HAVE to pressure gens. Killers will always tell you that they don't have time to pressure gens. This is a fat lie. Its because on the way to check gens they see a Jane running about doing nothing and chase her. DO NOT DO THIS. YOU WILL LOSE THE GAME. For every survivor not on a generator there's at least 3 more that could be on a generator. Get THOSE ones.
- Use perks that balance your weakpoints. When I first started to play killer I had trouble following scratch marks so I used bloodhound. If you get looped easily then try Bamboozle or Spirit Fury/Enduring. Bring some form of gen protection as that'll help. And some slowdown. Personally I'm a fan of Sloppy Butcher.

LOL None of the second paragraph is true. None. I'm not going to sit here and question whether you're gay or not. I will say you're full of shhhh though.
How about we go back to the 70s/80s where any mention of being gay was met with "oh you have gay cancer. Get away from me." And worse. It was the time of ######### Anita Bryant for ######### sake, an orange juice lady who went on a public campaign to tell people how TERRIBLE homosexuality was. When someone takes a damn trip across the country to tell everyone how evil we are, yes, we absolutely need to be more visible.
This isn't "LGBTQ" propaganda. This is making sure the Anita Bryants' and Marjorie Taylor Greenes' of the world don't force us back into the closet.
Is it hard to come out? Of course it is - no matter what time period. It sucks to feel different. I've talked about it on my twitter - I wish I could know what it felt like to be straight. How it would be to at least feel like all my friends and family did - wanting a family with the opposite gender. But I can't. Neither can you. We ARE different, whether we like it or not. This is our lot in life.
Learn your gay history, gayboy. Learn it good - see where we've been and then you'll understand why we are where we are and why we need to continue to have representation so we aren't forced back into the closet.
Hi. Older gay here who campaigned for gay rights in the late 90s/early 00s and I'm very aware of my history. What Zach is saying is absolutely, without a doubt, correct. Its getting harder to be openly gay due to forced representation. In the 70s/80s being gay was absolutely awful. You're not wrong on that at all. Coming out was basically sentencing yourself to a life of unnecessary difficulty that straight people just didn't have to contend with. But through education and campaigning with a message of tolerance we got to a point in the 90s and 00s where gay people could exist, albeit with some difficulty which is to be expected when you're different, and it honestly wasn't that bad. I could hold my partner's hand in public without fear of persecution (Other than perhaps some stares. Big whoop). There were still some problematic areas of course, but over time the same message would have carried us through. As long as we didn't make a big deal out of it, neither did straight people. And if they were problematic or homophobic you could sit down and have a conversation with them and they'd usually be pretty receptive to it. But something went wrong some time after I entered the scene and it's made me take a permanent back seat from the gay community.
The message was no longer about tolerance and was instead replaced with a message of mandatory acceptance. People wanting to express their right to freedom of religion were met with attacks from the gay community. People being even remotely hesitant about a homosexual lifestyle were met with hostility. Instead of respecting mutual freedom gay people decided to become militant. And the worst part about that is that it worked. People actually let the community get away with it. And now we're another decade ahead and things have not gotten better. We have a seemingly militant wing of the LGBT community that goes around demanding acceptance/inclusion/representation and if a company doesn't abide they're met with hostility. People's lives are ruined constantly for something as innocent as ignorance. Accidentally say the wrong thing on Twitter? Don't worry! The LGBT militia is gonna be all over that and make sure you lose your job. Don't have your pronouns listed in your bio? BIGOT! A family member of mine owns a salon and someone who entered the establishment identified as non-binary. My relative did not know anything about that and when they misgendered the person the police were called and a small and thankfully ineffective protest started outside. It's crazy. I am embarrassed to be part of something like this.
And how do you think the majority population is supposed to react when they see stuff like that? Complacent? Happy? Enthused? No. They instead start to dislike the community. I've been called the F word more times in the last decade than I ever was in the 90s or the 00s. It's honestly crazy and the youth of today have no idea what they're doing as all the progress that my generation, yours, and those before of us have fought for is unraveled. I'm just glad that people like Zach and the many other LGBT people that share a similar stance to me have commented and participated in the thread as well. This isn't just the ramblings of one person. We're waking up as a community and I'm so glad to see that.

so if we're about 8% of the world, naturally you'd be okay with us being represented by 4 out of dbd's 46 characters right? that's about 8%.
If Dbd was the only form of media out there, sure.

“We are normal people like straight people“
that’s exactly the point? If multiple straight relationships are mentioned then why shouldn’t there be anything LGBT in it? Just including a text passage about two men in a relationships doesn’t shine a spotlight on it.
there is harmful representation, but for all we know, BHVR will not do that
The LGB population make up 7% of the world. The T less than 1%. 7%/1% of the population don't need to be in 100% of media.

Who whines about not being represented? That’s really a minority. Most people are just saying they would be glad if they are represented in some form or they can relate to a character. Almost no one whined about it or demanded to get a specific representation.
and again, there is no forced diversity. The devs freely do what they want to. You are making this up without any real basis. Just because there might be people that tried to harass the devs doesn’t mean that was the reason for it. And they clearly stated their reason. Who are you to decide that they were lying there?
Have you been under a rock since 2014? Its always the minority that whines the loudest. And they whine and they whine until they get what they want. Look at the Marvel Universe. New characters are created constantly whose only purpose is to fulfill a niche diversity quota and those will characters will remind you of that constantly because it is the only thing about them. This isn't just unique to Marvel either. Its happening across all forms of media.
And I've had enough of it. As a gay person, I do not want more negative stereotypes added in games to fulfill a diversity quota because a small, very vocal group of people decide that they do. I find it oppressive to creatives and offensive to the actual people those characters represent.

Literally no one said that they can’t function without representation. Doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be nice to have.
there is something seriously wrong with people that want to exclude only anything LGBT+ though.
I've actually stated on this post several times I'm against all forced diversity inclusion because it 1) Stifles freedom of creatives and 2) Creates unneccessary stereotypes.
And really? The same people that have been whining for months about not being represented in one videogame tell me otherwise.

Can you please tell me where I've said I can't function if a video game doesn't represent my demographic/lifestyle? I mean, I lived through the dark ages of gaming where a woman's primary role was damsel in distress, or eye candy in titty armor. Doesn't mean I didn't play through it,, doesn't mean I didn't LOVE every second of playing a powerful, competent woman in CONTROL 🤷♀️
So many ppl in this thread be so aggressive and it's not necessary- I have more than enough hugs for everyone 🤗❤
It was more of a general "you" than at one person directly. And thats good! You were fine. Although I disagree with your statement about women only existing in games to be Damsels in Distress. There were always games featuring strong women leads.

which is why I say that just because they represent that group of people, doesn't mean they should base their entire characteristics around it. I would be fine if they added a furry as a survivor as long as they don't base their entire lore around that fact, or any other diverse, group of characters
But that's what happens dude. Lmfao. Look at the Marvel Universe. So many two-dimensional characters created solely to be a representation of a specific type of person and their entire character trope is reminding you of that.

But there hasn’t been months of harrassement. At least not by many. You are making this up.
And just because there might be some foul people that did harass them doesn’t mean they actually gave in to that. That’s just your assumption without any evidence.
the only evidence we have is the devs saying they want inclusion and they want to do it right and not rush is.
The evidence is on the forums and on their Twitter account back before pride month. Feel free to take a look for yourself.

I get it, I do believe lgbt should be represented, but I do believe it shouldn't be overdone. And there are many thoughts they could represent other then lgbt, what about Autism, or other subjects. I think they deserve just as much
This is my issue with diversity and inclusion. Its a slippery slope. Now that they're adding LGBT characters due to SJW harrassement they'll have to add more and more characters to represent everyone, thus creating shallow characters represented only by their differences.
