He's so cool and funny i wish he was real
-
It is a universal charm for anyone who's wondering
-
Good changes in my opinion. I did think his miss cooldown needed a nerf but not by much.
I don't get why you would consider cooldowns add-ons to be unhealthy. I think they are great add-ons.
Dissipation add-ons are useless i agree. Devs probably know that but they have to make 20 add-ons so if they run out of good ideas they'll have to add useless ones. At least hillbilly has plenty of other good add-ons though, i can deal with having 6/20 useless ones.

Same

Bloodweb improvements are on the roadmap
-
Yes.
Overcharge is bad. As soon as survivors know you have it they won't be surprised by the skill check again. The regression isn't really noticable.
Call of brine regression is very low and the surveillance won't work against survivors that consistently hit great skill checks which i don't think is unrealistic to do.
-
I've been playing since may 2021 and i think killer has only been getting better since then.
-
That terror radius is a very necessary mechanic for the game.
-
It's probably Ace

The website officially says rift outfits can come back after at least 6 months but unfortunately lots of the older rifts items have not returned. It's unclear why they haven't.

That used to be a perk
Left Behind used to increase generator repair speed when you were the last one alive, but that perk got reworked to find the hatch.
They later added this effect to sole survivor.

Who cares about balancing problems in Gamemode? It's a gamemode for fun. That would be 1000x times better than normal matchmaking - especially if it would be playable in custom games.
The normal game mode is supposed to be for fun. When people understand how to achieve their objective that's when balance matters.
-
They said in the recent AMA that prime cosmetics CAN come back after a designated period of time. We just don't know how long that period of time is.
-
One of my first matches as bubba i got all 4 survivors down with a single chainsaw sweep. They were all together at coldwind harvester for some reason so i won the match in less than 2 mins.
-
The idea doesn't interest me. Too many balance problems and potential frustrations. For example chases probably won't work properly if 2 killers chase 1 survivor at once, but conversely, 1 survivor having 7 team mates to bodyblock them will be ridiculous. Then there would be ridiculous combos like legion and pig. It either to me sounds too frustrating or too much work that i would rather devs spend on something different.
-
Well, it's not called a game mode. It's a modifier. Very important distinction.
-
I don't enjoy the mode, even though i thought i really would. Survivor doesn't feel scary. Just very frustrating. Killer is fine but it's not as fun without add-ons and perks.
I won't tell people they are wrong for enjoying it though and i think it was good that BHVR did it. And it's optional so it's not a problem if i don't like it.

Thats fine. But this is also why they should be optional and not a basekit mechanic in the game.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3647104#Comment_3647104
They were and I remember criticizing the old mori system back in the day too. It was beyond unfair that all the killer had to do was hook you once and then tunnel you down off the hook to get the mori. This was also in a time where there were no basekit unhook protections.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3647098#Comment_3647098
They are also optional and bad mouthing. You're not saying GG to your opponent when you do a fatality on them. You're pretty much just throwing a middle finger in their face.
Not necessarily. Fatalities are just cool to do especially on different characters and maps. Experienced players stop doing them because they've seen it before and they want to speed things up.

if there's no progress on any of the generators, pain res doesn't trigger and as a result, you don't lose tokens
happened to be as well and it works just as intended
Not before this update. It was possible to lose a token but not damage a generator. I wouldn't know as killer if all gens had 0 progress
-
Artist is like hag to me. Strong but demanding to play.
Dredge is reliant on locker spawns. Play 1 match on skull merchant camp as dredge and you won't like playing dredge anymore.
-
Based on the image i am guessing not. At least Flashbang perk exists

Looks cool.

I can record some games if you want to.
Btw... I just had a match against dbd´s "best" player. If you know who im talking about. I beat them with Piggy. All recorded 🐽 Hope this is some proff that the people i go against are not bad.
I would like to watch how you play Sadako.
-
It's a bug fix, she had a longer cooldown than intended.

Wrong. She's actually pretty good now. If you know how to optimize condemned, she's really good.
Try this build :
Hex face the darkness
Stbfl
Surge
Distortion.
If you can hold up pressure, your the best slowdown. Not commit to chases you can't win. You have one of the best mobility powers in the game. You can chose the chase.
She's good. Not perfect, but way better than some bourse ago.
How do you optimize condemned? I'd appreciate some tips.
Also you put distortion but im guessing you meant to put either discordance or dissolution?
-
Legion 100%.
Maybe swf stand a chance but not solo q. Frenzy is unavoidable without hearing a terror radius.

The Christmas in July collection just proves that this specific reasoning isn't true.
Once a year is a pretty strict time window, and limited time cosmetics are lame in general. Less of them is a good thing.
Okay i forgot about the christmas in july thing. Still though even if their reasoning isn't consistent i thought it made sense.
Don't get me wrong i would prefer no FOMO at all but if you compare it to other games it's a relief that BHVR don't push it as hard so i like to be thankful for that.
The game has FOMO when it comes to the store but it doesn't have the devastation of having missed out forever like lots of other games do.

Event-limited cosmetics are less of a problem because you earn those with play (I would love an alternative/second chance to earn them, though!). I'm specifically talking about cosmetics in the store that you can only purchase with money and have a strict time window to pressure you into using real world cash. The Deep Rift cosmetics are just funky reskins of stuff you can get in the normal rift; the normal variants do come to the store eventually.
As for "Not wanting Santa Clown in February"; If someone has the outfit, they can wear it at literally any time, rendering that point moot. If I can wear it at any time, what's the point in making BUYING it an exclusive thing other than pressure?
It's hardly a strict time window though. They come back every year.
They said they make some collections time limited to streamline the shop a bit more. So the amount of options that you see in the store are not overwhelming. I think making stuff like santa clown limited to the season it is tied to, to support this effort is a good and reasonable idea.
-
I think what you are refeering to is the initial turn rate hillbilly has when he starts a chainsaw sprint. The turn rate is very high for 0.75 seconds when you start but then it goes very low.
I recommend trying the add-on for hillbilly called "Counterweight", this might help with the issue you are having.
-
Yes i tried her out she's noticably better. The speed boost with finger nails is not as good as i thought actually but it's still a great add-on. It's more noticeable of a thing without the add-on now too. 4m/s when manifesting is very helpful, i actually demanifest in chase now. No condemned cooldown makes her feel much better.
Time and experience may change my opinion but first impressions of the 7.5.1 iteration are good.
-
It gets very repetitive because of the limited map pool and no loadouts. Killer feels overpowered when you play survivor, i think killers are better when no perks are in play, because survivors are predictable without perks.
Killer feels pretty familiar, you just have to pay attention to blood pools to keep track of people.
I just don't think it's interesting and i don't see myself playing it much more before it ends. I think it was a good thing to try though. Loads of people have wondered what dbd would be like with no terror radius and no perks, well, this is pretty much how it is.
-
I think the devs support survivors being able to remove condemned last second if they make it to the TV otherwise they wouldn't have reduced the time it takes to put it in the first place. It was already a complaint when it was 2 seconds but i guess it's just part of her design at this point.
-
No. Winter event still has cosmetics that are limited to that event. They did make cozy break collection permanent again though it seems like they are bringing some collections back maybe because of the feedback that people would want to wear the outfits year round.
Also deep rift outfits were recently confirmed to be exclusive to the rift. This is worse than the time limited shop ones because they come back every year, rift ones you can never get again after the rift is over.
I think when it comes to the shop i genuinely believe that they make them time limited to declutter the shop a bit (no one wants santa clown in februrary) but i am expecting them to lean into fomo a bit more considering they are doing it with the rift now.

Instead of Burger King Myers now we have Burger King Blight, gets too tired after the 1st rush to try to attack anyone.
Relatable
-
The patch is out and shockingly bloody fingernails is not adjusted. This means that using bloody fingernails now allows you to get 2 -> 3 seconds of 6.9m/s speed after exiting a tv, from 1.5 -> 2.25 seconds.
-
Myers, Hag, Legion, Demogorgon and Trapper
I tried playing doctor myself. It's not good. Legion is great for this mode though.
-
I like the idea
-
I do wish the restriction wasn't a thing but i was relieved to see that the angel lamp is usable on killer. Not that i dont want survivors to use it, i wish all charms were universal but angel lamp is one of my favourite charms so i'm glad i can use it on killer where the charms look bigger and better imo.
I also wish that the charm had a faint light in it. Like the fortnite pickaxe does. But i'll take what i can get
-
What's up with the sound when onryo damages a generator? It's a bit much.
-
Plot twist always triggers infectious fright i believe. I got revealed the other day because of a team mate who used plot twist far away from me when i was using generator.
The description does stay "whenever a survivor is put into the dying state by any means" but the "all other survivors" part is assuming that you aren't putting them into the dying state with a ranged attack or something like that.
-
Dredge is really bad on skull merchant camp.
-
That roadmap was from a different timezone i think or it might have been an earlier one im not sure
-
I'm not sure if it counts as a modifier but i like the hide and seek idea they proposed. No gens, gates get powered after 5 minutes and killers can mori with no hooks.
-
This has always been the case, they did make it to what you suggested at one point (skull merchant release) but i don't think they liked it so they went back.
-
My opinion about the changes ;
Condemned cooldown - i'm glad this is removed because i feel like TVs turning off is enough of a deterrent to spamming condemned anyways. I tried it in PTB and it wasn't very effective.
Increased condemned stacks - I still don't understand why this exists, but it being at 3 makes it much less of an obstacle. Would be nice if devs provided further insight into the change because the original explanation didn't make much sense.
Increased projection speed duration - Was not expecting a change like this but i think it could be very impactful. If the bloody finger nails are unchanged it will definitely be a must have add-on.
Increased speed when manifesting - This is a great change that makes it more appealing to use manifesting in chase.
-
You get blind immunity when searching a locker with a survivor, however, you do NOT get this when grabbing a survivor exiting or entering a locker which leads people to believe it's not working.
-
This doesn't work. As long as survivors get the unhook before they hit stage two. This is easy if they are healthy and there is line of sight blockers. Then there's exhaustion perks. Deliverance, reassurance etc.
If you stand in shack whilst a survivor is hooked in the basement the bar will fill up. if you leave the shack that's enough time to get an unhook.
-
I feel that the latest update has resulted in a surge of "the game is killer sided" posts.
I don't agree with a lot of the contents of said posts but i don't feel like it's worth trying to argue.
-
I think the good outweighs the bad.
We have content creators and streamers. People that have learned, broke down and taught everything there is to know about the game through videos, wiki, written guides etc. There's people that want to be really good at the game, they push the balance to its limits. Considering the game doesn't have ranked matchmaking mode like overwatch or fortnite does. It's fortunate that there's people that want to be good at the game anyways. There's people that keep up with all the information about the game and share it with everyone else. There's artists who make stuff for the game, even skins like the clown and yun-jin one we have in the rift. The game has a dedicated and devoted community and i don't think this should be taken for granted because there's games that don't have these things.
I think the players in game are fine for the most part. There is some instances of people acting very horribly, sending vile messages, threats. But i believe this is minority of players. Most people do not send messages to other players, they are just playing the game.
Overall i think the community is good because it improves the understanding and enjoyment of the game. As a dbd player, the online prescence of the community is useful.
