I've always thought that the lore reason is because he wants world domination, so he has a big terror radius.
Gameplay i think comes down to the 8% hindered from infection and the killer instinct from using a spray.

Don't twist my words I said "100 hrs to master that particular killer" ofc you need to gain some experience overall but that can be applied to all the killers. Well yeah, you are just wrong at this point, "good Nurses" will leave you with no chance on any MacMillan / Autoheaven, "not super easy for her when survivors can still move unpredictably" you probably faced only newbies on her, no offence. No they are not, again this killer is not that hard to master and it's just justifying brokenness of this killer leaving solos with no chance and doing 500-1000 games win streaks and you don't even need 4 slowdowns for that.
"I also don't think it's a problem if Mathieu isn't expert level. He isn't the one in charge of balancing. He's mostly about partnerships."
He's one of THE guys, he's one of the major devs, he's been around for a long time and when he's saying something like that I'm just afraid to imagine what other devs who are relatively new to the game think lol and who actually balancing the game
It happens man, it's pretty much there, people who playing only Nurse with 4 slow downs have pretty much insane win rate, not everyone needs to be streamer to show this. And it's not really just Nurse, if we take Average Blight + 4 slowdowns + hard tunnel , he will have insane Winrate too, with Nurse it's just way way worse, you just need to believe it, it's facts you can't deny that buddy.
Don't twist my words i said "100 hrs to master that particular killer"
If you main only Nurse she's easy, you can spent 100-150 hrs on this particular killer and stomp pubs with ease,
You keep trying to apply the narrative that it's easy to get good as nurse and that good nurses are unbeatable with hundred win streaks and im saying i don't agree with/believe that, and you are just saying "I'm wrong". You're just being disrespectful at this point.

Well what can I say, you can be wrong, your choice. If you main only Nurse she's easy, you can spent 100-150 hrs on this particular killer and stomp pubs with ease, especially on open field maps you don't need any particular "skill" on her, that's said, Blight is way harder to master. Mathieu is just too disconnected from his own game it seems.
I think playing nurse for 100+hrs = unbeatable is just unrealistic. Also open field maps are not super easy for her when survivors can still move unpredictably. I agree with Matheiu in that i think the people who are good at nurse are truly skilled with the killer. Idk about blight thats a different discussion.
I also don't think it's a problem if Mathieu isn't expert level. He isn't the one in charge of balancing. He's mostly about partnerships.

Hehe, alright bud. But it's completely fair to master killer in 100-200 hrs and doing 500-800 games win streaks leaving people with literally no chance, that fair...
I don't believe that happens. The people that get these winstreaks have play DBD as their full time job. I'm not saying it's fair but i mean the more important thing is how those killers perform for the majority of players. They can't just balance the game around people that play it as their job.

Honestly, same.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3676053#Comment_3676053
Cause the problem with these scenarios as well is you can't prove the people using those cosmetic combinations are trying to be transphobic.
And that proves my point.
What about the people who are just mixing and matching their cosmetics? Why should their experience be affected, even if only slightly, by the actions of awful individuals?
Transphobic individuals have no place here. They should be permanently banned immediately. No warnings, no second chances.
But we are talking about turning the cosmetics into sets. Which, as you know, are hated by the community. It is better than a full removal, but it isn't a good solution either.
The point i was trying to make is that bad actors can act in a way that doesn't get them banned. They can wear those cosmetics with bad intentions, but if they don't break the rules, you can't ban them. They can wear the cosmetic combination to portray a harmful stereotype, because the game lets them do that and it's not against the rules. I think the game should not let them do it. Don't allow them to express a harmful stereotype.

But they aren't simply tools, my friend. We're talking about cosmetics, excellent ones at that. They are not be blamed for the actions of awful individuals, nor should the entire community pay the price.
"Easier" doesn't mean it is the right thing to do. Those players need to go, not the cosmetics. This has always been the case.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3676024#Comment_3676024
Well said, my friend. I agree completely.
I mean, cosmetics are a form of expression. Devs can decide what cosmetics are available which dictates what expressions are available.
Problem with the unknown cosmetics is that it allows you to mix the cosmetics in a way to resemble a harmful stereotype. If they made the outfits sets then you couldn't do that anymore.
To be clear, i am not saying the outfits should be removed, i think that would be going too overboard and it would limit the character too much. Only that the head and body pieces of the current very rare and rare outfits of the unknown should be unbreakable.
The price is you wouldn't be able to mix those items anymore which i think is a small price to pay.
The benefit is that people wouldn't be able to use those cosmetics to cause harm anymore. It would save support resources. Cause the problem with these scenarios as well is you can't prove the people using those cosmetic combinations are trying to be transphobic. Especially when they try to do it implictly, and as well if they don't express that in the game themself, they can't ban based on things on other platforms.
So, that's why i think it would be an effective and least disruptive solution.
-
It's just easier to remove the tools that toxic trolls use rather than waiting for them to use them before banning them. Because it doesn't stop them from using them and causing harm in the first place, it only stops them from doing it afterwards but only on that account it is used it on. They can just come back. And these types of people are never going away. It's more efficient for the support team as well who i think are already overloaded, it takes weeks sometimes for support to get back to you.
I think BHVR should just make those outfits sets. I think it's the most effective and least disruptive solution.
-
@Mr_K said:
We have precedent for this, the outfits should be removed and refunded. Just like Leatherface faces, if a cosmetic is being used as harassment it must be removed.
I don't think it's as easy for the unknown. If they remove the cosmetics because they look like females then will all of unknown's cosmetics have to look like a male? But, it would have no lore reason to do that. It would limit cosmetic potential as well of course and bhvr would lose money by doing this.
I personally think they should just make it so the female outfits are linked that way you can't mix them with the male items.

I know it's a map from Haddie Kaur and the Dredge DLC, but what about that offering?
The offering is called Ichorus Loam

Alan Wake but only if they have the Alan Wake 1 outfit idk why but i just feel sorry for him like that

Portrait of a murder, i interact and enjoy the contents of that chapter more than forged in fog.
Artist is an interesting killer, with 2 meta perks and 1 situationally strong one. Jonah has overcome which i think is good.
Knight i think is a cool killer but i think the bugs bring him down a bit and vittorio is a cool survivor but i use none of his perks. I rarely use knight perks but i think nowhere to hide is a solid perk.
Eyrie of crows i think has better gameplay than shattered borgo.
-
Steam UK, the chapter is normal price for me. £5.49 is standard for 1 killer 1 survivor chapter.
I'm guessing maybe they've increased the prices in some places due to inflation or whatever.
-
I would like the ability to spend a large amount of bloodpoints on a character instantly. So basically like the auto spend feature we currently have but it would be instant.
-
Why not use the meta on every killer though? Nobody wants to risk losing because if you do you'll just get humiliated for it. So it makes sense that people are going to give themselves the best chances. If you don't, you have to try harder and people want to relax where possible.
-
I'm already fed up of playing the killer. My opinion from PTB hasn't really changed.
Hallucinations are not a reliable teleport, because you don't manually place them. Survivors can dispel them as well which they are starting to do a lot more frequently now.
UVX is just stressful to use and i'm not motivated to try and get good with it.
I like the character but playing as this killer is just not for me. I generally don't like mechanical killers so it's to be expected i suppose.
-
It isn't a masculinized body though?
-
I don't think they could give you a 50% discount on characters you own on other platforms. If the system can detect that you already bought the characters elsewhere they should just give you the characters. But it can't do that right now i guess.
Also apex and fortnite are playable without ps+ because they are free to play. I think dbd would have to become free to play, to play without membership.

The navigation of the map is pretty bad because of how long walls can be with closed off doors. And there's pallets everywhere. A lot of gens are very safe too.

Is it saying their aura is revealed while they're interacting with a box to remove the trap or their aura revealed after the trap gets taken off?
I think you mean amanda's secret but
It's always been that when the survivor removes the trap their aura gets revealed. So when they complete a search and then their trap comes off.

I know he said something along the lines of who owns the rights is confusing so they can't bother with it right now.
But i mean previously what he's said regarding licenses has been misleading.
He said netflix still wasn't talking with him last year but a few months later the stranger things chapter returned.
When it came to chucky he said it wouldn't be very fun playing as victor all match but it did happen.
This just sticks out to me. The other licensed stuff that the people on the live stream were wearing are in dead by daylight. Ghost face cap, and a evil dead t-shirt.
Could mean nothing but it does stick out to me.

From what I heard the perk allows self-unhook on the second hook if it's in the basement. Did they change that?
That makes the perk slightly more valuable. Still not great, but better than useless. The aura reading is potentially super strong
Perk definitely does not work on second hook. A dev explicitly said that somewhere i think it was just an assumption/misconception that it would

I dont know, I think the Healing Perk is worse than Self Care, because you will have to spend time to go into the Basement and go back from it. While with Self Care (which is already not good), you can heal anywhere you like. In the end you will not have much time saved and it is more risky (not only being in the Basement, but going to the Basement makes it more likely that you get seen).
And the Unhook-Perk... I think it is too situational. The Basement is not really impactful anymore, even less with Scourge Hooks in every Build nowadays. So your first Hook will most likely be on a Scourge Hook and the Killer will not spend the extra time to get you into the Basement, even if no Scourge Hook is available. And on second Hook the Perk does not work anymore.
I think the main point of wicked is the 20 second aura reveal after unhook, which is confirmed to work on every hook not just basement. The basement self unhook i think is just an added bonus that will rarely happen.

Clown buffs are great and thank god pinky finger is gutted that add-on sucks to play against.
Chapter itself is great. Invocation is way too weak for the fully broken condition though. Unknown is cool and i love hiss power design. Greenville look run of the mill in terms of maps
I agree about invocation. Broken with grunts of pain and blood pools is very difficult to deal with, it's not like no mither where you have those injured benefits. For that reason no mither is actually probably the best perk to pair it with.
I'm surprised you think Greenville looks average. Personally the movie theater main building to me feels distinctly modern compared to other maps in DBD which i like.

I don't run pain resonance. Should I start? Idk I like to just run thrilling tremors and/or surge. Scourge hook builds often seem overhyped to me. I mean... grim embrace just does it better? Sure 15% regression on the gen with the most progress is nice, but what's the point if you can't prevent the survivors from completing it. 99-15=84%. That's like 10 seconds.
Pain res is one of the best killer perks. I'd say it's probably the best one but it's at least in the top 3.
It can give killer early game pressure which is invaluable. If you use corrupt with it on a killer that can down fast early then you can get this very reliably and it's very hard for survivors to deal with.
You don't have to run it in a scourge hook build. The other scourge hook perks in the game aren't that good.

I got plenty of slow down on ptb with her and few head pops with additional time added to the timer and auras removed from the boxes.
Just because you can’t still see the auras doesn’t make it worse, you can still slow them down. If you play pig you should have a really good idea as to where the boxes are to begin with.
So respectfully I would disagree. She’s not worse. I will agree though they should have left the ability of her being able to see jigsaw boxes but I get it. It helps remove some unhealthy play style from the game much like when Sadako would slug ppl for ring drawing stacks. Same principle.
slow down on ptb... where people were doing invocations.
not seeing auras is a pure nerf, there's no upside to that... so it does make it worse. Yes you can still slow them down but you can't extend it yourself anymore by interrupting. And no, hardly anyone should know where pigs boxes could spawn, it's very random and there's 5 of them.

That’s an overkill still statement 🤣
The timer was the issue because it made her traps Irrelevant and not lethal at all.
she will not be a worse killer….statistically prior to this she’s been doing well considering her ambush and stealth was bad…Buffing her useless ambush and stealth will make her much more viable and now traps are set back to default thank god. How do ppl go from 0-100? “Shes gonna be a worse killer”…it’s not a big deal to see the auras.
Was it a nice feature yeah sure of course it was, but use the green add on. Survivors can’t see them either now. 😈
If they have a trap on their head truthfully they’re the last target you need to go after anyways, they’re preoccupied. Go after someone on a gen.
They weren't irrelevant, the timer doesn't matter, survivors will still be forced to remove them, slowing the game down. Lack of jigsaw box auras means you can't extend the amount of slowdown and try to cause the time to expire anymore. She is worse.

I don't think it's really that much better considering the charge nerf. It's less time efficient than Potential Energy now I'm pretty sure.
I think the progress would be too easy to remove. With 5% base gen kick now, and if the killer had surge they would probably just counter it automatically.
-
No i think the perk is better for this change.

He's extremely map dependant.
I think he is heavily overestimated and overrated.

The timer nerf was not the problem. It was the removal of jigsaw box auras. She will be a worse killer.

Yeah, that's what techno said, If you think about him like a killer who help you to understand some basic mechanics of the game, he is pretty good..
But i also think they are probably the best hit and run killer because of deep wound. Injuring survivors doesn't stop survivors from doing generators which makes the strategy feel unviable on other killers.

I found him fun when I beginning to play DBD, but now, I feel more like I said, forgettable
If you get lucky, yes, or if you play with the pills and the mural sketch, you can get pretty much all your game an 5th hit
But the killer instinc, really help you for your power, sometimes when one survivor try to hide, but after that, this is not really... Sometimes who give me the envy to play him instead of the other
I have 2.5khrs but i still enjoy them. They are really good at learning to 1v4. I don't think any other killer can really do what legion does.
-
They are fun and easy. Their power allows them to hit and run effectively because survivors are forced to deal with deep wounds instead of gens. If you get lucky you can get the 5th hit down. Also, the killer instinct detection is great.

I like that the game supports solo play, killer is 1 player and survivor is designed for solo pretty much imo.
I've seen a few games that basically punish you for playing without friends via xp bonuses and exclusive cosmetics which is sad.

Daily reminder BHVR changed this offering icon but to this day have not changed the perk 'Hangman's Trick' despite that perk being even worse with it's icon due to it literally being somebody tying a noose
The perk was even updated semi-recently so, it just goes to show if you ask me
I thought this originally too but i think i understand why they made that change now and why hangman's trick icon wasn't changed.
The dusty noose offering for one didn't fit the map because the quote implies using it for suicide. But, the hung people on the map didn't kill themselves, they were executed.
So the offering wasn't relevant to the map, therefore it's an "unnecessary reminder".
At first i thought it was an indication BHVR was going to start removing all references to self-harm/suicide but i think they changed it more for the former reason. Since the other things in the game that referenced these things never got changed.

I'm confused? The offering was a noose cause of the people hanging in the trial who were killed how does that imply self harming
The quote on the offering referenced using a noose for suicide ""Ask anyone trying to survive on this damn dust-choked land and they will tell you what a noose really is — a damn mercy.""
Honestly at first i didn't like the change because i felt like it was censorship. But overtime i think it's a good change. The old offering didn't really fit the map, the hung people on the map were executed not by suicide.
Here's the official response btw
