We haven't seen how they change those maps yet. Anything currently are just speculation.
So.. let's wait for PTB first before judging this patch.
-
I don't use this phase much, but..
Git gud.
-
Also, any bug fix?

Go read developer changes killer main lol
I think you should. They never mentioned the magnitude of map size change.
Please, do me a favor, don't embarrass yourself further anymore.
-
I'm holding my judgement until the PTB comes out. I don't want to get hyped just to be let down.
Hope you do the same.
-
Did they mentioned the magnitude for map size change? AFAIK they don't. So where did your "maps are getting too small" come from?

It’s too late, I’m already excited. That gen speed change alone and is enough for me to throw a few more bucks at behavior. I especially like that change on hook, when I was a baby survivor I kept forcing myself to stage 2 because I did not understand.
I have the same feeling for hook change honestly. But i would be much excited if it happens 2 years ago lol.
But for map changes, i'm holding my feelings first. I don't want to be hyped and later realise that it's a huge let down.

True. I've noticed some instances in matches where my frames drop during chases and it screws me over because my console just briefly dies trying to adapt, giving the killer enough time to hit me
Especially nurse, doc and freddy i guess. I don't have console, but freddy's transition into dream world really screws me over even on pc (Gtx 1070 graphic card btw)

Of course we need to wait to see how these changes are tomorrow, but I think it's fairly safe to say that this patch is looking real good. I doubt these changes will all have barely any effect. Just look at the three images that depict changes to god loops, those loops look much better now.
Add to that the gen nerfs and I feel like this game might be in a very healthy spot balance wise after the patch. I'm hopeful that killer and survivor queue times even out after this new patch.
In fact, depending on how impactful this patch is for killers, I think it might be smart to take a look at some of survivors biggest frustrations as well in updates after this one. Camping and tunneling, as well as certain op killer addons and Moris.
Looking good doesn't mean it's good. Also, nothing is safe when this game is on the hands of these devs (just a joke :)). They can't deny their history lol.
However, removal of god loop is certainly a good change (which should be done years earlier)
But for other changes, lets wait for the PTB

I know nothing is final but just my thoughts on what they have currently. I think the t-walls and some loops were a bit much but I am glad that the god loops are gone. There should never be a spot in the map where survivors are invincible. I'm also glad some larger maps are getting size changes but I hope they don't make them too small. Not sure how I feel about gen speed change honestly.
Edit: I forgot about the sensitivity for console. I'm so glad that it is getting increased. Now I can play on a sensitivity I actually prefer compared to the slow sensitivity we have now
Low fps and poor optimization can still screw you over for console.

idk if you really dislike legion that much, just dont play them I would say, I dont play nurse or freddy for example.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1195994#Comment_1195994
a good legion can still use that stun time to zone out a survivor by body blocking an escape route, just saying, it can work really well, its not like the nurse who is practically frozen in place during the stun.
I thought he has the same movement speed as nurse in stun?
Yes, i do it all the time, and sometimes it works. But honestly a 4 secs stun for every use of your power is just too much.
Also, get rid of power reduction on basic attack lol. Killers shouldn't be punished for hitting survivors.
-
Actually.. does bloodlust do anything? If you looped the killer until bloodlust 2 or 3 then you already wasted tons of killer's time and should consider yourself the winner in that chase.
When i play killer, i never go beyond t1 bloodlust and when i do, it's when i hit survivor or lose the chase.

@ZoneDymo said:
Legion is not nearly in as much of a bad spot as people like to make others believe, the devs have the data on that though.
Lets not forget, sure maybe legion is not as good as he should be for ACTUAL good survivors, but they are fine for the 90% that makes up the rest of the players that are being played against, hence, its not such a bit issue.
I just want them to reduce that damn 4 secs stun...
Also, complete add-ons rework. His add-ons are a disaster.
Ps: i saw countless red rank survivors self-caring in corner against legion...
-
If they make the resistance purchasebale alone, i probably will try it.
For now, it's too expensive to try

People need to stop thinking this cooldown has had no effect on god tier nurses, it absolutely has. Many nurse players including legacy nurses have quit her or only use double cooldown on her due to how frustrating she is to use. More importantly, its a nerf to one of the strongest (if not the strongest) killer in the game, which we need for guidelines on how to balance killers. Just like we might need weaker killers so we know what is good and what is bad.
As for your point, it really does effect veterans, and makes it horrible for new people. It's really not like old ruin. Wish it was though so the devs could remove the cooldown.
Making a killer annoying to play as is not a good change. This is a video game, and we play video game for fun.
In case of her strength, she's still strong. Those who already mastered her before will do just the same. But like you say, they choose not to play her because how annoying she is.
-
Sirvivor: WGLF
Killer: BBQ
Nothing beats more bloodpoints. Ahh.. sweet delicious bloodpoint
-
Why play mobile version when i already have pc version? It's better in any way.
Plus you need to start all over again. So.. no. I'm not excited.
-
There's no need to know every perks actually. It's so rare to see people use non-meta perks
-
Survivor gameplay: Holding M1 almost the whole game. Too boring to be fun. Also, camped to death is not fun too.
Killer gameplay: Gens are done before you can do anything. Lots of toxic survivors out there to bully you (especially with this matchmaking).

Its not a lack of funding I can tell you that with certainty, its a lack of willing to invest, hire more and competent people to work on the game for example.
Nope, ez cashgrab so far, minimal effort = maximum profit.
Look at Warframe, another Canadian game, look at how much (free) content they push out and how many patches based on user feedback....then look at dbd, the contrast is indeed shocking.
Dont get me wrong, I still like DBD very much but its extremely painful how people come to these forums with ideas and requests every time and so little of it ever gets answered or even...tried in ya know, the freaking PTB
Devs said they don't want to do knee-jerk change, so nothing is changed from PTB to live.
Honestly i wonder why there's PTB if they aren't gonna change anything.
-
Honestly, i'm not looking forward to it. I already had enough of grinding.
To be honest it actually pushes me away from the game lol.
-
Are you in low rank as survivor? Because camping not that common in high ranks
-
Be careful what you're asking here, or you'll end up of having another nurse
Hope you understand what i mean lol
-
I'm good at chase, but not good at finding people. So when i play him, i do very well in every match (with basekit).
Blendette will never escape from me :)(unless they have calm spirit lol)
-
Survivors spawning across the map where killer can't even reach there before 1st gen is done are way more common
-
Good to know, thanks :)

Look at nurse..

MM is outdated and needs an update. His power is too simple and time-wasting
-
Strange. I find him fun to play as or versus. Especially for pallet freddy.

@Reborn2020 said:
Its impossible to play killer because of gen rush yeah so just switch to survivors so i could kill you more.
Or he just quit the game?
I heard Civilisation V is a good game
-
I'm too lazy to grind it. Grinding is not my strong suit.
So i just got to Tier 39 for clown outfit and be done with it.
My playtime is quite similar with yours
-
No please. I don't want any new content. I want game health patch.
-
Strong in 1 v 1, but very weak in 1 v 4.
When i play as him, i can get downs just fine. But without pop, i can't really protect the gen and by the time i get 1 kill, it's already 1 gen left or all gens are already.
So if you want to win against him, do gens.. he's pretty loud when he's chasing, so you can do gens to your heart content.
PS: if i can suggest a change to him, give him the ability to sprint outside the chase.

@Todgeweiht said:
He is in a weird spot for me, I personally think he is in a good spot, he is fun to play and maybe viable against good players if you can play him perfectly without missing any shot.
I am not really good at FPS so I sometimes struggle when playing him, quickshotting has become my go to strategy because aiming down sights really confuses me.
Only viable when you don't miss any shot?
This somehow means he's not viable, as no one can play perfectly. Humans are bound to make mistakes
-
Wow... it takes 80 secs to finish a gen.
And these guys only took 85 secs to finish 3 gens lol. Including travel to gens.
And yet some people still think "gen rush isn't real" or "just pressure" or "git gud"
-
It's easy. If you can't beat them, join them :)
-
I already predicted this when they announced the breakable walls. Those walls are just tools for them to create more god loops. You want a fair loop? Then waste your time and break every single wall at every loop you see in the game.
You know what's better idea? Just add a damn (bad word) door or hallway at those god loops that has been in this game for YEARS. Why wasting resource on this stupid breakable wall instead of something else that's more important (bugs, optimization, balance, rework, etc.) is beyond my understanding.
Funny how survivors raged and cried so hard because "it's a huge killer buff" before the update. And when it's live, all silent because it actually favors them.
-
It's better if they revert her basekit change. Her basekit should not be touched.
-
Those p3 outfit doesn't look like blood at all. They looks like red mud lol

Gonna have to disagree, I’m a PS4 nurse main with around 250 hours on nurse 1k hours total in game. And I 4k 1/2 games with the other half usually resulting in 2ks or 1ks but she is very rewarding, I can’t even play normal m1 killers anymore because I’m so used to blinking over pallets and god loops like they are nothing.
Well.. good for you then. After her "rework" i just can't stand that cooldown.

@minehot said:
Make his terror radius slightly bigger or fix his current terror radius because something is very wrong with it and its cutting off.
Make hooked survivors scream so they can be heard when they are slinghshot.
And possibly add very small slight stun when he breaks the hook by himself. And he's good to go :)
He gets nothing when he breaks his chain himself. Also, he needs to reload.
Huntress can injure or down you, and she has build in STBFL.
And no one likes stun. That 4 second stun + reload when survivors break free is awful enough
-
@hex_genrush said:
Look at nurse.
a warping killer that virtually ignores all of the survivors defense. She has high chase potential like deathslinger and has map pressure unlike deathslinger. I’m surprised more people are not complaining about nurse
Because she is so damn awful to play as?

He should come as a charm!
Probably in paid track which forces you to buy lol

I want basekit nurse back. Without using add-ons
Also, fix those damn gamebreaking bugs

My point is that I am hitting them, the game is just still giving them the vault.
Sometimes they still throw down pallet after you hit them
And i don't understand the 4 sec stun. You did good job on hitting them, only can't reel them in, and you're punished with 4 sec stun. That stun gives a lot of distance to survivors (110% + reload)
-
So you will pay.
Everything is about business.
-
Devs: "we don't want you to have a cup of coffee while you're in struggling phase because you're struggling" (Real quote)
They honestly just want to break your keyboard at the very least lol (a joke)
IT NEEDS TO GO

ermm the range is quite far, more then you need on 99.9% of the shots you are trying to land.
That's because it's very difficult to land those shot with that hitbox, so people usually only use in mid range
But it does not hurt to have more range though. Limited range only limits his potential and skill cap.

I have to disagree here. The longer the perk's duration is, the higher the chance that a generator will get highlighted if a survivor works on it. Which also means a higher chance of having all gens that are being worked on being highlighted to you. And that's always a good thing for map pressure. The more knowledge you have over where survivors are, the better. If playing killer really was all about finding a survivor, and then chasing them until you down them, I would agree. But that's not necessarily how you apply map pressure. Sometimes it's better to injure a survivor and then go for another survivor to try and pressure more survivors off of gens. That's where this perk could be good if the duration was 45 seconds.
I'm not saying the perk is bad, but it's also not really good, weaker than other perks that help apply map pressure.
It has the same problem as pre-nerf ruin. You can get skill checks every 2 secs, or you got none and fixed the gen without knowing ruin is in work. I thought that's why devs changed ruin?
Plus, sometimes gearhead activates when you're in chase. If you're low mobility killer, you can't utilise that information.
Yes, sometimes it provides useful information, but thrilling tremor is better in any way
