So half of these reasons are you condescendingly telling the players who think nurse is too powerful that they are playing the game wrong and/or thinking about nurse wrong. B, C, E, F.
Just the same old, same old. Players with less experience in the game telling players with more experience that they don’t understand things like the 'win condition.'
G is completely wrong. You should edit it out.

There weren't any stats or evidence presented and I certainly didn't run away. You also seem to selectively ignore the statements I've made that contradict your narrative. Also, does Otz count as a skilled player when he said Nurse was fine except for a few add-ons? It seems you're in an echo chamber and refuse to even consider other points.
I have no idea why you're so obsessed with a video game character nor why you can't admit your opinion is nothing but an opinion but it doesn't seem healthy. If you wish to continue a discussion please do so after you have actual facts and statistics or after you've reread my posts and actually comprehend my position.
Just going to lie, then? That's too bad.
You need to watch that Otz video again if that's what you came away with.
I don't even think the devs will truly fix nurse. They don’t know how. Tons of evidence to back that up. I just feel it is necessary to inform the other posters who read posts like yours that they are being misled.
It has been explained to you numerous times by several people why those stats are not to be taken as gospel, and yet you reference them every post, claiming it looks like she is fine because of that.
At least my opinions have experience to back them up. You don't even understand how strong she is. Maybe understand that before talking on a subject you know nothing of.

If you're referring to me without actually pinging my name then passive aggressiveness is not a good look. I'm still open to you providing any factual data that shows there is an issue. If not, your opinion still remains just that; an opinion.
It has been explained to you many times. I still remember that thread from last month that you ran away from because someone provided a bunch of stats and "evidence" showing just how broken Nurse is.
Just continue doing what you are doing, claiming nurse is fine when you yourself don't even experience the issue due to your MMR.
Funny how the people all defending nurse seem to always be self-admitted low-average MMR. Still waiting for an actual skilled player to say nurse is fine. Haven't seen a single one yet.

3) the perk is purposely designed to be a surprise
People realize this, right? You all realize this perk was designed to be a surprise, right? Do people really think BHVR expects everyone to be in a SWF? Do people really think BHVR overlooked this entire perk, and didn’t realize how it would function in solo q?
So many bad takes..

If you want this thread to be useful, you might want to ask for NEW suggestions, that haven't been mentioned on these forums before. Some people are tired of the Nurse threads because they never suggest anything new. Will this thread be any different, or will it just be the same tired suggestions again?
What an odd thing to say. There isn't anything new to say because it has already been said.
Apart from a full rework (which I am all for), all the small changes that could be given to nurse to make her less oppressive and dominating, have already been said.
Such an odd thing to say...

There is nothing good about making posts where you all search approval from each other. No one of you guys wishing for another perk nerf is bringing any relevant math or even attempting calculations. Or suggesting any actual change. You just want it erased. I expressed myself in those terms after you had me repeating myself all over again, making personal statements. Which must be typical of forums. There is nothing personal (love you all).
That said. While I am a casual survivor who escapes 50-60% (so I consider myself casual, but not in a bad way), as a killer I generally get matchmaked with people with a total prestige level of between 70 and 150 (total, so 20 22 12 80). I am not unaware of game perks and how the game is played :)
I use eruption and I play against many eruption users as it is a valid perk at the moment. As I said I play 60-70% of my time as a survivor. So if something was unsufferable I wouldn't like it as well. As far of my experience, when we coordinate eruption is never enough to change anything for the killer. We never lost because of that, that I can recall. But I do not play as soloq. I also don't claim to be rappresentative of this community. Neither as a killer or a survivor.
I made a point on why killers perks are rightfully strong and I expressed suggestions on how to counter eruption. Everything else is you giga smartasses baiting reactions
"I do not play as soloq"
Enough said.

Nemesis is a very famous 2022 released killer. It's not like Eruption has been peacefully used in the past years. I started to play the game this year and I cannot replicate a build I see on youtube because every time I tried to I experienced
- I farm for Ruin, Ruin gets nerfed to the ground
-I farm for Thana, boom, trash
Now you guys no lifing this game since ages have all your game history of why this and that had to change and so on. Me trying to have fun and not take this game like it is the most important thing of my life, every time I try something I get people complaining about it. Killers too strong... nerf this, nerf that. I just can't stand it :') can you let the developers do their thing
(Ruin and Thana nerfs are ''ok'', I adapt. What is not ok is the mentality of calling for nerfs)
So much for those positive vibes, eh? Calling players who have put more time into the game than you 'no lifers'.
So, you are a casual player, undoubtedly unaware of how much this perk even affects the majority of the games it is used in.
At the casual mmr you are at why are you even speaking on this issue? It doesn't affect you. As killer you can sneeze on survivors and they will die. You don't need to worry about any perk metas, so why try to suggest things are fine when you don't understand why they aren't fine?
The mentality of 'it doesn't have anything to do with me, so it is fine,' is not okay.

I hope you realize that for every whining survivor main like you there is the same amount (in ratio, probably more) killers complaining its a "survivors sided game". To me, you people can spend all the day thinking this game is not balanced (and in search of its balance). When I play as a survivor I try to win and as a team we escape half the trials (at least). When I play as a killer I win most of the time (I would say more than 70%). I m not a particular good dbd player but I like to try to win when I play a game.
If it makes you happy complaining about every existing perk and developer choice :) see you in another post where you attack another in game mechanic. I prefer to support a positive vibe for "both sides".
Sorry, but that doesn't make sense. There are things in the game that are imbalanced. The devs are not infallible. Just because it is in the game doesn't mean it is balanced. Players on either side should not have to play a game where the chances of 'winning' are stacked to one side.
You are not supporting a positive vibe for both sides, you are supporting keeping the status quo despite it needing to be fixed.

Eruption is healthy for the game, because it encourages killers to chase after survivors that immediately run away from all the unrepaired generators. Without eruption, killers are often encouraged to just let these survivors run away, and excessively defend their generators until a survivor messes up and is caught out of position.
"Eruption is healthy for the game"
Eruption is very likely the thing most damaging to game health right now.
Sorry you don't see that. Maybe play some survivor and you'll realize how badly this perk is damaging game health.

This change wouldn’t affect solos, and would fix the complaints that SWFs aren’t affected as much by the perk. It would bridge the gap between solos and SWFs in a healthy way, which is by bringing down the power SWFs get with voice communications.
Except it is decimating solos and carrying games hard for the killers who use it. Leaving Eruption in the state it is in is not an option.
I don't care what some people say about SWF being able to counter it. I have been playing this game for years, and it is easily in the top 10, maybe top 5 of most broken perks that have been released.
"nerfing swf" by nerfing a single perk is not a good idea. With your suggestion killers will continue to get wins carried by an overtuned perk. Not good.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3262237#Comment_3262237
If the worst part is it affecting SWFs less, then the solution is to give the affected generators an AoE incapacitate, or to change the perk to incapacitate anyone that had repaired an affected generator in the last X seconds.
It doesn't matter how many times you comment on the perk Eruption. Your view on the perk is just plain wrong.
Eruption is as unhealthy for the game as Undying was when it could take up to 5 totem cleanses to get both it and Ruin.
And yet you are suggesting making Eruption even stronger.
It is so far from what needs to be talked about in regards to this perk.
What you are suggesting is like saying Nurse should be given 4.4 or 4.6 movement speed with no nerfs - buffing an already OP thing to combat its one 'weakness'. You aren't fooling anyone.
-
Unless you are at the top MMR AND facing full squads with comms then every killer is viable.
I have thousands of hours in the game, and the number of matches I have played where I feel like no matter what I did as a killer other than the top 3 I wouldn't have won is so vanishlingly small. And if I had played one of those 3 top killers I wouldn't have felt that way.
The killer role is not weak.
A lot of killers on this forum have a victim complex. So used to tunneling the first survivor out, raising their mmr but not their skill, and expecting to win against survivors better than they are.
-
Increases to gen repair is not the way to go. In fact, Prove Thyself and toolboxes in the hands of swf are overtuned. Prove Thyself should be nerfed, as should toolboxes (teams should not be able to bring multiple of the same item).
I think that even in solo queue (despite needing buffs) a limit to items should be implemented. If someone has a medkit, you can't have one. Simple as that.
A killer who gets unique hooks (hooking a new person) should receive buffs similar to Fired Up!, and killers who get consecutive hooks on the same player should have their hook kill the survivor much, much slower than if it was a unique hook. It is so bad that the most skillful way to play as killer isn't rewarded anywhere near as much as proxy camp/first hook tunneling (super skilless) is.
That being said, the biggest issue in the game right now is Eruption. Absolutely broken OP perk (even more than nurse).
-
Eruption, Call of the Brine and Pain Resonance are three perks almost every killer brings almost every game. The latter two are fine on their own, but Eruption makes the combo of all three so, so obnoxious to play against.
Eruption wins games for killers who may not deserve to win. It can carry that hard.
It will be nerfed eventually, but the devs are really, really slow at balancing perks even if urgent balance changes need to happen.
-
The majority of the time I go for the no camping/no tunneling 12 hook game.
If I wanted to 'win' every game I would just use the most powerful addons on the most powerful killers. Some people like that, like the people who defend how strong nurse is. To me, having an unfair advantage from the start of the game is pretty boring.
If I meet an SWF that I know, obviously I will play more optimally, as that is what they chose to do, so if you don't match them then you'll have a hard time.
The vast majority of games are solo and duos, though. In the vast majority of cases solo survivor is much weaker than killer right now. I'm at the top mmr for both survivor and killer, and if I can win the majority of my games by going for 12 hooks, if other killers are struggling to succeed without tunneling/camping it means they are higher in MMR than they should be.
-
But then Nurse players would never find a game because she would always be banned. Won't someone think of the nurse players?!
For real though, they should add map bans. They would quickly realize which maps are disliked by many people.

While I don't agree with Camping and tunneling, slugging is perfectly fine. There is a risk reward to it for killer and survivor's have to make mistake's for it to be game winning. Like the only time it's unfair is with nurse and iri tag alch ring blight which I doubt you have ever gone against. Competitive game's put you in unfun situations sometimes and I would argue as survivor slugging is the least unfun in the category. Actually I would argue that slugging in the egc vs a swf is the most fun and skill expression in the game for both sides. In my 60 games of survivor in the last 2 months I have been bled out 0 times, proxy camped twice and Tunneled for real once. Killer's really don't slug often and the especially don't leave you to bleed out often, I have never seen it on survivor side ever.
You and I are talking about entirely different things. I am talking about slugging for the 4k when there are two survivors left. You are talking about any and all slugging, which every killer does to some extent.
The situation I am talking about happens extremely frequently. It is in dire need of being fixed.
The situation you are talking about is a part of normal gameplay. For the situation you are talking about, the added basekit change plus the Unbreakable perk may be too strong, and even the default 45 seconds may be too quick (even though in all the games I have played as killer since the announcement there hasn't been a single situation where the survivor team would have benefited from a 45 second basekit self pick-up - it won't be as strong as people say if it gets implemented).
Try not to assume things, by the way. There hasn't been even a moment since the mmr system was introduced that I haven't been top mmr for both survivor and killer.

Your gonna be slugged.
Bring Unbreakable. We have a perk for it. It shouldn’t be given free w/o. We have 4 slots it only takes one if you hate it that much. I play red rank survivor often and it’s not that big of a issue. I almost NEVER get left to bleed out.
‘Also don’t go hide on the ground. Be where you can be picked up and hooked. It’s your fault being in this situation too often
Very, very bad take.
Why do you think the devs came up with this basekit Unbreakable idea? It is because slugging for the 4k happens A LOT.
Boring. Unhealthy. Unfun.
Whether or not basekit Unbreakable fixes the problem is hard to tell. Too early to say, but to blame survivors for being slugged so often is..yeah, not a good take.

Yes, punish sandbaggers and trolls. That should be done. It also has nothing to do with a character (Nurse) granting an unfair advantage to the player using her.
I also have a sneaking suspicion these good nurses you have faced aren't very good at all.
-
If DBD was only on console and M/K was not usable then Nurse would not need a nerf. It is impossible to reach even close to her potential on console. Unfortunately a fair number of posters who play on console come into these threads and say nurse is fine while not actually knowing what they are talking about.

So what there aren't many god nurses. YOU WON'T BEAT A GOD NURSE OR A GOD BLIGHT... DEAL WITH IT. You got 100 other garbage killers to deal with. Nurse is at the top 1% for a reason... She controls the match. Survivors cry any time they don't control everything. Nurse gets stomped in comp which still shows she's not scary.
"nurse gets stomped in comp"
In reality: in comp she is banned the most, has the most addon restrictions, which negatively affect her much more than other killers (most killers are allowed two addons and one or no rarity restrictions - nurse usually is allowed only one weak addon) and yet still is a commonly used killer in comp, performing well.
So, yeah..the opposite of stomped.

I agree and also state that's because many of the people who complain about Nurse also say they think SWFs are overpowered but are suspiciously absent from every thread about SWFs while very noticeably present in multiple threads about Nurse. It's fairly hypocritical. Good Nurses and Blights do equal good SWFs and it's self serving to advocate for Nurse nerfs but not for SWF nerfs.
Nerfing any of those pose significant ramifications for game design as, with Nurse for Starstruck, the question first arises is Starstruck giving disproportionate value as shown by kill rates or pick rates and how to change that without gutting the usage of Sloppy Butcher, etc especially given the vast majority of Nurse players don't have disproportionate kill rates? And you also can't punish players for playing with friends without crippling your business model.
Personally, I think a two pronged approach based on buffing solo queue and also the weaker Killers would be a better use of time and resources for BHVR.
You can't see the difference between nurse and swf? Sigh..
People don't have their blinders on when talking about swf. Everyone can agree swf gives way too much of an advantage.
Enter the issue: people with either no understanding of game balance or people deliberately trying to keep their OP character too strong try their best on these forums to convince themselves and everyone else that the nurse shouldn't be changed.
If there was any actual discussion with people saying swf is fine (which there isn't) I would be one of the first to call them out. There isn't, because everyone can easily admit the fact. The same fact, that nurse is OP, has too many people acting in bad faith. It is not okay.

No. Again you're NOT reading.
You made an absolutely absurd claim that people defending nurse on the forums are bad with an attitude that you know better than anyone else. This is not only provocative but an overreach.
When a thread claiming she needs nerfs pops up and there is no mention of what these nerfs are (or are very vague like this one), It is no surprise that some users will jump to her defense because they don't want her to become gutter waste like poor Freddy did.
Cool it with the attitude and stop going out looking for a fight. It's completely unnecessary and just makes you look somewhat foolish.
You're the one looking foolish getting all worked up like this.
That claim isn't the least bit absurd. The people defending nurse in her current state are either nurse mains who just want her to stay OP, ignoring balance, or people who aren't actually good enough at the game to see why she is OP. There is no other group. I have been in many posts like this and every poster defending nurse falls into one of those two categories.
In this case, yeah, I do know better than the vast majority of posters who have talked about this topic.
I'd rather you didn't reply to this. Your posts have added nothing to the discourse.

See? You're so far in your own ideology that you're right and everyone else is wrong and a bad player that you don't even read anything comments that could potentially disagree with your own opinion.
You're upset because I said 'busted'? Sure, change it to 'OP'. Same difference...

I'm sorry, but that is a dismally absurd claim.
In fact, one can call that confirmation bias. You're no more informed than the people you think you're calling out.
Sure, it may seem like confirmation bias, but it is the only logical explanation for this issue.
I am a top player/streamer on my server who has uploaded footage both as and against nurse on here proving I know exactly what I am talking about.
Two of the main nurse defenders who have shown up in basically every thread about nurse have proven they are at best average at the game (through gameplay footage and self-admission).
Not only on my server, but also NA and Europe, all the most skilled streamers admit nurse is busted. Even ones who main nurse admit she is too powerful.
The only people defending nurse on these forums who have uploaded gameplay footage have shown themselves to have little gameplay knowledge, and those who haven't shown gameplay footage have a perfect chance to do so now. It is quite obvious that the only reason they think Nurse is in a fine state is because their personal skill at the character isn't up to par.
That's the only explanation that makes sense. Unless you have a different way to explain why nurse has been the only character complained about consistently since her creation, all the top players admit she is OP, and basically all the people defending her on the forums, amusingly, have nurse profile pictures.
-
What's funny about this whole nerf nurse debate is the players defending nurse are less skilled, and with less game knowledge than those asking for her nerf. And yet those players defending nurse in her current state are telling the better players they need to learn to play. It is facinating.

Yeah, it actually makes the grind feel worse

Since the patch that introduced incentives I have never, not even once seen the incentive on Killer.
I only play solo, and right now if mmr puts a fairly equal survivor team against killer, and the killer decides he/she wants to win, it will be a victory. Eruption (paired with call of Brine) makes it just way too easy for killer right now.
I am at the top MMR, I don't use eruption, and I don't camp/tunnel, and only go for 12 hook wins when I play killer, and yet the only time I 'lose' is if MMR matches me with 4 survivors just as good as I am. If I change even one of the things listed above, I will undoubtedly win basically all of my games. Killer is too easy right now, if the killer is willing to play a certain way (eruption first hook camp/tunnel). Too easy.

What you're stating is nothing but the equivalent of 'hey but me and my 5 online buddies think this do it's a great idea'. And, yes, I am putting more faith in the idea that the BHVR design team can balance the game better than you.
By the way, I don't see you posting non-stop on threads complaining about SWFs or bringing up SWFs in threads that have nothing to do about SWFs but I do see you non-stop mentioning Nurse in almost every thread. If you have stated in the past that SWF is a problem my apologies for assuming otherwise but I haven't seen any posts by you stating SWFs should be nerfed.
By the way, I don't think SWFs should be nerfed. Games should not be balanced around an echo chamber such as your talk of high level tournament players and how they supposedly know better how to balance a game for all MMR levels. They don't know better by the way and while they should be included in balancing considerations balancing solely around any one group kills a game.
By the way, Nurse and Blight are the most talked about but you're being highly selective in what you see if you think they're the only ones.
Other than hey me and some other people who constitute a tiny percentage of the player base know better how to balance the game than everyone else including the people who actually have the data and only our opinions are valid but who still can't see how that position is mistaken, elitist and condescending you haven't brought up any evidence. If you are such a great Nurse, feel free to upload games. Until then, I don't believe you. And until you can provide evidence and/or game footage just please stop claiming your opinion is correct when it's just an opinion with no factual basis.
You don't know much about the balance team if you think that.
As I said, it is accepted fact that SWF breaks the game and gives an unfair advantage. People who play both roles accept that. The issue? Players who think they know much more than they actually do claim nurse is fine.
The only people complaining about Killers other than Nurse or Blight (addons) haven't learned to play yet. They should be ignored, as too should people claiming nurse is fine. Guess I fell into that trap.
Whenever the balance team leader finally goes against a good Nurse she will get nerfed.
-
First, I have stated numerous times SWF is just as troublesome as nurse. The thing is, everyone can accept that fact, yet there are still some people who can't accept the fact that nurse is busted. Your 'us vs them' argument holds no weight with me...
Next, you are putting your faith in the bhvr balance team. Enough said.
Nurse is auto-win? What? Since when? She obviously isn't, as she has the highest skill floor by a large margin. No one says she is auto-win...we say she gives way too much of an advantage in the vast majority of the games she is in against equally skilled opponents.
Wesker has a much higher kill rate. Several other killers do, too, even at the top mmr. And yet the only killer besides Blight (addons) being talked is Nurse. It has only been her for years, and years.
Cannibal is really, really low on the kill rate chart, lower than other killers who really need buffs/changes. Yet everyone will tell you cannibal is not in dire need of any help. Your stats you are quoting do not tell the whole story, at all.

Others have beat me to it, but to be very clear: Just because you don't see something in this update doesn't mean it'll never be changed. There's only so much bandwidth for changes in each update. Between everything discussed today and a new Chapter, there simply isn't any time for perk changes in this release.
That said, the logic of "if this why not that" quite literally does not get anyone anywhere. If we hold changes until everything that we want to change happens all at once, there simply would not be any updates at all. The todo list is very long and always growing. It would literally take years to get everything in at once, and that's assuming nothing else comes up in the meantime.
Eruption is the biggest perk issue this game has right now, incredibly punishing to solo queue in particular, and still no word on it being fixed?
If the list of to-do things is so long, maybe it is time for a balance patch rather than constantly churning out new killers/survivors. I know, I know. Different teams for different tasks. So why does it seem like the game health/QOL team doesn't have many people working on it?

I have never seen someone get trapped there, let alone two people get trapped there. Why would you hide there to begin with?
Maybe they were both hiding together in a place rarely checked? Maybe they were role-playing as service clerks. Maybe they were coming up from basement and, both being solo queue, got tripped up by each other not knowing what the other would do. Maybe they just aren't very good and didn't realize how easy it is to be trapped there. Maybe they are so good that they thought the killer would never check there because killers rarely do, but the killer did a super brain play and looked there, and then decided to be toxic.
Or maybe it doesn't matter what the reason is, and toxic behavior should be looked down upon and punished?

Obviously it is something that needed to be fixed. In the rare situations it happened there was zero counterplay, which is never a good feeling.
But yeah, there are definitely so many more pressing things that need fixing.
In no specific order: Eruption, some portions of maps being either too strong or too weak for either side, Nurse (rework or nerf), Prove Thyself, Bloodwebs (auto-fill button...when...it is constantly asked for), Medkits/Toolboxes stacking being too strong, Healthy Hook Grabs (remove...such a no-brainer change), Dead Hard motion activating and yet still dying, first hook tunneling being the strongest strat...super nerf this skilless play, and buff unique hooks so winning this way is the best way for killer to play...why has this not been done yet?
Just a few, right?

Whether she's the strongest Killer or not, her kill rates are not out of line for over 95% of players and lags behind many Killers for a significant percentage of the player base. To resummarize my arguments, balancing solely around the top less than one percent of the playerbase is a terrible idea as all ranges of player skill have to be able to have fun.
It has been explained to you multiple times why those kill rates for Nurse do not tell the whole story, confirmed by the devs that they should not be used as you are using them.

'Winning' because of a balance issue is not fun to me. I know it is fun to the several nurse mains in this forum, but to most people it negates the point of playing a PvP game.
I didn't play Spirit when she basically had no counter, I didn't use moris when they were super busted. I don't play in an SWF with comms. I'd rather play a game that both sides are as equally favored to win as possible, and playing nurse doesn't provide that.

Never mind, I just make it my own

The chart just to show Nurse appearance zone will always cover survivor zones. And this is not yet counting 2m lung at 150% speed, at the end of both blink.
And yet every nurse tries to claim the huge buff nurse received (less distance gained by survivor after taking a hit) wasn't meaningful at all. Funny, that.

I had 12 hooks that game, so no i wasn't camping but i couldn't let free hooks, the momment they unhooked i cahsed the person who unhooked, which is by all means normal way to play
Maybe you don't know how to read the scoreboard yet. Those 6k points that first survivor has means after you hooked him the first time you never let him out of your sight.
If you played as you said that player would have had way more points, especially since he/she used the event offering.
By the looks of it you quickly took him out of the match, and then alternated hooks when it was 3v1, perhaps to give the illusion of hope.

???
Bruh I'm literally trying to get his basekit buffed because it's not that great without at least one speed add on.
Also no C33 and vial are absolutely not fine.
He has one of the best basekits. What even is this thread.
His basekit doesn't need a nerf (his top addons do), but in what world do you think it needs a buff?
On the list of killers that need changes to their basekit, Blight is way down near or at the bottom.

With the best killer in the game, and one of the most unbalanced loadouts on her best map you decided to camp/hard tunnel the first player you hooked to death during an event.
I don't DC, but I wouldn't blame any of the survivors if they did.
When moris/keys were brokenly OP a long time ago I never brought them. I never used a Haddonfield offering as survivor. I didn't use Spirit's busted addons when she was super OP. Why? Because what is the point of playing a game that is unbalanced from the start? It just feeds the power fantasy a lot of posters on this forum have. That's not what a PVP game should do. Thankfully the devs are slowly removing those super imba things. Can't wait for what is seen in the OP's pic to get the same treatment.

"Claiming the issue is some perks rather than Nurse is really strange."
Between a nurse who uses Starstruck and one who does not, there is a huge difference.
Personally, I don't use this skill on my nurse, I know very well that with it, she could be even more dangerous, but somewhere, I tell myself that there are many other skills to use, which are not abused like Starstruck either.
"The most constructive way to have a conversation regarding nurse is to continue voicing displeasure about how such an imbalanced character has been allowed to stay that way for as long as she has."
On the contrary, I think it's completely counterproductive to do that.
Basically, what you're advising is to complain, again and again... complaining has never been constructive.
I'm sure that already, if you take away the possibility to use Starstruck from the nurses, a lot of players would be very happy with it, for example (redesigning the perk, or whatever, it doesn't matter, I was talking about the simple result, of course).
"When people ask how to counter her they are asking rhetorically."
Some, perhaps. But not all, of course.
There are players who will have run into a nurse who is more skilled than they are, and will have decided that the outcome of the game will have been that "The nurse is too strong, I can't do anything."
That's why I often ask people who come and complain in a very childish way to show their gameplay ... because I think there are probably things they could improve, and things they just don't think about ... I tease them, but I'll be the first one to advise them quietly if they agree to show anything ...
But then again, I don't have too many illusions ... so if they prefer to complain without questioning themselves ...
I'm not saying the nurse isn't strong.
I'm also not saying that these players who come crying will be able to pulverize the nurse afterwards if they are a little less self-absorbed.
I just ask them a simple question, see their gameplay, even in anonymous mode, I don't care who they are.
"I do have one question, though: what platform do you play on? If you play on console it would perfectly explain why you have the opinion you do on Nurse."
What is the difference between nurse on console and nurse on PC ? I play DbD on PC.
Nurse was S-tier, and OP before the perk Starstruck was created. If Starstruck was never created, she would still be viewed the same way. All of the threads you have posted in on Nurse would have still been created. The perks are not the issue, as unfun as Starstruck can be. And it is unfun. But guess what. No one except you is making the mistake of thinking the issue is Starstruck, and not Nurse. Seen any posts about Starstruck lately? Didn't think so.
You are truly missing the forest for the trees.
You hold the very misinformed opinion that because it was put in the game, it is balanced. If it is in the game, then it can be beaten. So that makes it okay and balanced. That is a very, very bad mindset to have for a PvP game. Very bad. Of course Nurse can be beaten.
Any character being played by a person can be beaten. In Overwatch I wouldn't be surprised if a GM player playing Mercy could take on a team of bronze players. Player skill always has a strong influence.
However, and I will say this as simply as I can: the act of playing nurse gives the person playing her a distinct advantage over his/her opponents. That is the issue people have with Nurse.
There were people arguing that moris were fine. There were people arguing that keys were fine. There were people arguing that many of the broken addons that ended up being nerfed were fine. There were people arguing that Dead hard was fine. Because they were in the game. Because the other team could win even if they were in the game, so why would they need to be nerfed? And now, here you and your nurse defenders are, arguing the exact same thing. Nurse is fine, to you.
Something being beatable does not mean it is not too powerful. It is shocking that this needs to be explained.
I assumed from the way that you talked about Nurse that you play her on console where she is much harder, and not seen as the top killer like she is on PC. I'm surprised. Then, there is no reason you should think she is fine, besides you not knowing how to play her at a high level and thus not knowing what she is capable of, of course.

Everyone understands that you don't like the nurse, Omans, it's getting ridiculous to pollute every topic with your sweeping judgments.
Instead, use your knowledge and experience to participate in the discussions in a constructive way, especially on the most dangerous perks that the nurse can use.
How can someone who has had a post deleted from this very thread by the mods suggest that another poster is polluting topics? Seems a bit backwards to me.
The only perk that is an issue for every killer is Eruption. There are numerous perks that are an issue solely on Nurse. The issue is not the perks, it is Nurse herself. Claiming the issue is some perks rather than Nurse is really strange.
You completely misunderstand me. The most constructive way to have a conversation regarding nurse is to continue voicing displeasure about how such an imbalanced character has been allowed to stay that way for as long as she has. Then, hope the devs finally respond to one of these threads.
What else is there? All the information on how to 'counter' nurse is already out there. When people ask how to counter her they are asking rhetorically.
In my opinion my posts are much more constructive than your posts, as my posts actually live in reality. Please be careful with your next post. Wouldn't want the thread to be deleted...
I do have one question, though: what platform do you play on? If you play on console it would perfectly explain why you have the opinion you do on Nurse.

Nurse is a perfectly made character for players who want to be given an extreme advantage against their opponents in the vast, vast majority of their games.
For people who want a balanced game (or something nearing balance), Nurse is an outdated, obnoxious character used by people who think it is their skill alone, and not her busted mechanics giving them wins over equally skilled opponents.

I've not read through the last 5 pages so apologies if this has already been mentioned, but let's try to understand what OP is saying by reversing the scenario.
What OP is suggesting, is that someone who's spent most of their 7,200 hours in-game on a specific single character should NOT be able to consistently do well with that character when faced with players who are not playing to the same level of dedication!
That's it, right?
They want an expert in something to not perform like an expert.
Get outta here!!
That is not even close to what is being suggested.
