I'm for certain that everyone agree's with me that the range that these killers can hit you with is pretty stupid. For example, able to hit you around a corner like what the hell, or being able to hit you from a far distance aka (Legion).
Also the Recover progress should be converted to the Wiggle progress, because you can lay there hiding getting your Recover progress up to where you need to find help, but then the killer picks you up and that time was for nothing. It should transfer to the Wiggle progress so it punishes the killer for not picking you up and putting you on a hook immediately. Just an idea, but the range attacks of these killers are broken.
Theres a perk for that, one of Ash's can't remember the name, also not sure what you mean about legion having a ranged attack.

I like that idea. I don't know if I've ever used it other than a quick look. If I throw a pebble towards another survivor do they hear the noise? I don't want them to hear the noise and take off.
They dont but they can see the animation of you throwing it

Killers never get tired of mentioning how useless the aura ability of BBQ is and how easy it is to counter. But first of all, countering the aura means a loss of time on the generator in most cases (so nobody will do it) and second, we saw the killers run wild with the Mid Chapter patch and the aura change, even though they never get tired mentioning that they only take BBQ for the points (which worked anyway), while in general the amount of time saving for the killer by knowing where to go for the next chase is significant. Especially on mobile killers you can snowball effectively. So no it’s not OP, but considering that BBQ is a no brain perk, the aura reading is too strong on Billy, Freddy, Spirit and Nurse, who are already high pressure killers.
You realise theres other perks with aura's right hence why people may complain when the auras were as bad as they were, BBQ's auras are great on high mobility killers, but on the rest than its more than likely just used for the BP.
Also people not bothering to counter it doesnt mean that its not easily counterable.

I was watching Zubat and he got it 2 games in a row. In the first, the pallet wall on the preschool was on the left entrance (facing the school) and I thought it was nice. On the second it was the right entrance next to the car loop and blocking off the huge fence loop and I nearly messed my pants. It COULD be based on the variation of Badham, or it could be different each time.
huh guess i just got really lucky/unlucky with only getting one layout then, I had the house of pain and the right school entrance for the walls both times
-
I mean thats the type of matchmaking Ive seen since I started playing this game.
I specifically remember a game when I was rank 14 and was against 4 rank 4s.

From what I've seen from watching a couple of streamers play, there's a number of different pallet walls on each of the buildings and different ones spawn each time. It definitely works that way for the preschool.
Really? I only got the map 2 times but it seemed to be the same layout for the walls.

I'm thinking it's because less and less people are playing due to bad game balance and bugs.
Just my opinion.
I've been getting bad matchmaking but really fast wait times, and when I say bad matchmaking I mean I was rank 8 getting matched with only red and brown ranks, havent seen a fellow purple or even a green for a long while

I'm guessing it's the doorway going to where the car is? That's amazing, I never got a chance to play new trashham.
Thats the one, it still seems to be a strong building but nowhere near where it was.
-
@Zozzy said:
The fact a building is called "the house of pain" has not been looked into and changed is really bad.
One giant loop leading into windows with see through stairs and a god pallet, nah no problems here.
It has been on a PTB, one of the staircases is blocked by a breakable wall.

Basically what you're saying is "Killers are allowed to be toxic cause survivors are toxic.
Honestly the double standard is pretty strong with you.
Yes please spread more toxic behaviour cause thats what this game needs.
I do agree with you that responding to toxicity with toxicity isnt the right call, However what's the double standard? He used Survivor toxicity to justify Killer toxicity, seems more to me like he's fine with both sides on the toxicity front.

@kaeru said:
Also if match lasts more than 15 minutes it means something go wrong. Maybe remaining survivors got extremely immersive and hiding all match (I find this type of gameplay boring for both sides). Maybe survivors 3-gen themselves. Or maybe everyone go play farming simulator.
Yeah had around a 20 minute game once where we got 3 genned. about 3 quarters of the entire match was with 1 gen left.
-
@kaeru said:
I think is 10-15. If it lasts less than 10 minutes, it means someting goes wrong and unfun. Maybe survivors made gens way too fast ignoring healing and saving teammates. Maybe survivors was swarming the killer and allow him instantly slug all team. Maybe someone gives up on first hook and made a game much easier for killer. Again, 10-15 minutes for a perfect match, it is just my opinion.
I pretty much agree though I'd extend the times out a bit on both ends

It doesn't matter how much they pay for internet if they live far away from the server. Also VPN is a thing and many killers do it even to their own country because it increases ping and makes things easier.
Speaking of VPN, the other day I had a guy accuse all of the other 4 people in the game of using VPNs to play on 'his' welsh server. I'm not sure which part confuses me more the fact he expected a specific welsh server, or that people would want so hard to play in it.
-
I mean I'd assume they'd still have their aura addons, which is the only thing I really like about keys in their current state, but you might be right about them being a bit lacking if thats all they do without any addons. @TAG

@TAG said:
I dunno, an item that only exists to get another random item faster than normal seems preeeeetty useless as an item. I dunno if keys would necessarily still be tied to opening hatches if they were re-worked, but I can't imagine a key that only opens a chest faster.
Idk it'd get me to actually use my keys as I like running chest builds, and dont really like using keys unless theres a challenge for it.
-
I'm pretty sure they were planning a rework for both keys and moris so this could very much be linked to it.

Depends on the time of day, for me. Here in Cali, noon has slow queue times as killer, but past seven, near instant.It's survivor matches I can't get into, no matter the time of day. Ten minute waiting times is the norm.
Im from Ireland so complete different region, used to be Id have really long killer queues all the time and near instant survivor queues, but when crossplay came those flipped, since I like playing both its fine for me.

I have it on a few killers builds.. I treat it as a hex perk that lasts through the match or gets found right away., sometimes it's super useful, other times it's useless from the start ;p
Thats a fair way of thinking about it might try to reincorporate it into my wraith build.

Can't wait for them to rework those older maps to add more crows to them.. I don't care for tiles balance and graphics, I want more crows! It's one of my favorite tracking perks, but as you said.. it goes from great to useless depending on the map.
Yeah its a really fun tracking perk, but I'll only use it if I'm using a map offering, because I used it on rotten fields once, and I'll never do that again.

And really bad on Macmillan & Autohaven & corn maps.. basically the older maps. Newer maps seem to have more crow spawns. Lery's is the map I've found spies from the shadows to trigger the most. You can pinpoint where survivors are running towards through the walls because of how many crows they disturb trying to escape you.
Yeah it honestly goes between one of the best and worst perks in the game based solely on the map.
-
@MadLordJack said:
No joke, the only reason it's not OP is because some maps have crows way too far and few between. If you've ever run it in a smaller map, you'll know what I'm talking about.
Yeah its really good on Hawkins and Lerys, but alas you cant always guarantee you'll get those
-
The 2nd perk seems more like an addon to be perfectly honest
-
@doitagain_ said:
Yeah having 5 perk slots for both killer/ survivor would need some tweaks but it would be refreshing. Just make survivors limited to only one “second chance” perk and killers to one “gen slowdown” perk.
Basically the devs could organize perks into different categories and limit the # of perks per category you can equip in your loadout.
While I think that would work incredibly well, different people consider different things to be second chance, and I've heard people say that Devour Hope is Gen slowdown despite it not affecting gens at all, so obviously not everyone would agree with which perks were counted
-
Nope like you Ive only got to P2, and to be honest I really like the prestige body on him but I honestly prefer the base weapon over the prestige one

base of the hill to the right = get stuck. Killer can free themselves M1’ing sometimes
Thanks for the explanations
-
Facecamping but only because for some reason my teammates always seem to turn 1 guy getting face camped, into 3 or 4 people all hooked.
-
How does the hill glitch even work, Ive seen 2 people get stuck there but wasn't sure what even causes it.
-
Not sure but had something similar happen to me as killer except it displayed 1 survivor as escaped, 1 as dead and the other 2 had disconnect icons.

Yeah but one is a scary and detailed animatronic suit while the other is just a plain business suit.
It's like saying a tree branch and a lightsaber are the same thing because they're long objects you can swing around.
I mean for both its a matter of perspectve, I wouldnt particularly say either Springtrap or Mr X look particularly scary at all but you could argue for either of them that they are.
and with your lightsaber vs tree branch thing, would you be more worried if you seen someone with a light up stick or a dense piece of wood?
again its all perspective.

It's called geometry my man if you're playing in the western US and get some dude from europe in your lobby he's obviously using a VPN.
1 how is that geometry, like at all? 2 If I'm in Ireland and getting people from Norway, Iceland, France,England,Scotland,etc I'm still getting people from different countries, however there's not set servers for each specific country, hence why I took issue with their claim that if theyre from a different country theyre using a VPN.

And so many people run Overcharge why? It couldn't possibly be because people risk missing skill checks. Must be some other reason.
The only killer that can really make use of Overcharge well is Doctor, and thats more just it improving the madness affects than the perk itself

On the note of "overkill" it can be fun in low ranks to use both Bond and Empathy so you can watch all the new players immerse themselves pretty much everywhere.
I have gotten plenty of laughs from this.
My friend is getting the game next week, I'll have to try this when I play a few games with him.

My issue with Premo is that you could spin your camera around to look at something and trigger it without actually knowing in what direction it "dinged" exactly.
I've had this issue with "Small Game" plenty of times, where I then needed to do a double take to find the totem. At least with Spine Chill I can determine the most likely spot the killer is coming from and just wait for it to light up so I know they are coming for me.
All personal taste based on how we play.
Yeah thats completely understandable, I've seen some run both and honestly just seems kinda overkill to me.

If stealth killers start using Dragon's Grip as a "meta" or popular build then we should expect to see more Spine Chill.
As a solo survivor I often run this perk simply so I cannot be taken by surprise. While I have adjusted my original look on Dragon's Grip due to other possible uses friends/community members have suggested I'm still on the fence about its place on my personal "tier list".
I could be completely wrong as I've yet to play with it and Dragon's Grip could end up being the most used perk in the game, only time shall tell.
I've found it works pretty well on high mobility killers, stealth killers and doctor. the others not so much.
also about running spine chill, despite premonitions cooldown I prefer it in most cases as it gives more information even if the cooldown is a tad long imo.
-
As someone who enjoyed the original Monstrum and DBD this seems like a massive downgrade from both. the Brute and Bhagra both seem to overlap their areas where they do well too much, unlike the first game where different areas became safe or dangerous depending which of the monsters you were up against. kinda seems like it removes most the elements I liked in the first game.
-
Is the DC penalty even on, Ive been getting loads of survivors DC after first down from playing both sides, so just assumed they had disabled it.

It's extremely easy to VPN as a killer, almost every Anti-Virus software has it available. VPN has become popularly hated among streamers, so word catches on and more people start using it.
As a survivor, it's suicidal.
But again with your stating of look if theyre from a different country on steam, how does that work when theres not servers for each specific country.

Click on the Steam.
If their Steam says a different country AND their comment section has a couple of people using the country of Origin as well then you might have something.
I haven't reported these people, but I will try to get a response from a Mod.
Its very rare everyone in one of my games is from the same country, had a game earlier today where every single person was from a different country actually, do you really think most people use VPNs while playing this game?
