  • Its all about the timing and if he is inside the pallet hitbox to get stunned. If he is barely out, the chainsaw will break the pallet. Depends on ping as well.

    Don´t play Solo Q?

Or you are just too good :-)

For normal players Sadako is strong.

I do play only solo q or killer. I don't see strong sadakos that often at all.

  • Some pepper sauce. Mayonnaise not bad either!

and i also saw them going in their chat and being rude cause people in this game can't take a loss in a video game, but u were also hitting them on hook so expect some salt if u give salt, they would probaby have talk bad anyway because that s what people do bu that didn't help so how about we just chill cause at the end its a video game

I agree. I don't mind the ######### talk tho tbh, I was kinda expecting for having smacking them on the hook. I didn't take it personnal.

Nora I think you may have taken the post out of its original context. I see this post as the same idea of a post a survivor might make saying something "They never expect the power struggle" and showing 60 points in benevolence for saves from killers grasp and showing that they escaped when a strong killer had a strong build.

He went into the match knowing he was in an uphill battle seeing a full sabo squad or gen rush setup. Was able to counter one of the offerings but still had to deal with the 2 hook separators. Its more that this is something that if you're not prepared to deal with as a killer it can really ruin the experience of the game. He didnt slug them til bleedout it actually looks like he slugged for a very short time based on the timers and I don't think there was any malintent on the post. It was a flex but I think its also a reminder to killers that this type of squad, although annoying, isn't unbeatable.

Your first post read like an attack on Pebbles for sharing their experience which is why I think several people were harping on you. Even if you didn't mean it that way that is the way it comes off which causes a series of lashbacks between you and them.

Thank you for understanding. As you noticed, I didn't slug them to death, when I easily could because by the time I downed all four was clear they had no unbreakables. I smacked each one of them on hook just for banter and that was it. They came to my chat and started being passive agressive and I blocked them and moved on to another match.

Honestly I should've just posted the offering denied. Posting the results makes people come and start drama. If I win, I'm bragging about it. If I lost, I'm baby killah that lost and its crying.

My personal view is that killers should get purple 100% chance map offerings, while survivors get yellow 30% chance offerings, combined they each have a lesser chance but the killers would still carry more weight than the survivors (75/25 assuming one killer and one survivor map offering is played), and both should be made hidden offerings so no one knows what's been played until they're already loaded into the game.

Yeah something like that would be cool. I agree.

idk why it doesn't publish my other comment but anyway...

to the original poster... accountability for what exactly ? i didn't insul anybody , i made a pretty known joke that comes from 0tz that sasys surv are sc.. they must be destroyed and its also in a pretty famous meme song called dance with me, if u guys don't know and wanna be sensitive about it cause u don't have anything else to "attack"

plus i don't care if u slugged them that was not my point, u can do what u want but flexing it after saying " they were not good" then its a weird flex to me as the same level as surv waiting at the exit to t bag a baby killer and say gg ez in edc.

your idea of taking accountability is strange and yeah i agree singe is dbd next time take your win and go next without bragging the slug on a swf that was not even mean in their gamplay, on the contrary u was hitting on hook for no reasons at all, but hey ggs

Ok play dumb. Yeah you don't care at all, even took your time to search the entire vod and watch a match because of a post that is not even serious 😂 Again, idk why you are implying they were toxic during the match, I've never said that in this post.

There is only the 11 second offering screen linked. So i didn´t really dig any further. But if they really did nothing then... well i don´t know.

They weren't toxic during the match or anything, its just exhausting to see SWFs relying on map offerings over and over during a session. IDK why this Nora guy keeps taking this post so srsly but whatever.

Hyperbole aside, I have to agree that this is just more evidence to me that map offerings aren't all that great of a factor in the grand scheme of things.

Despite playing a sacrificial ward to cancel it out, the survivors still got their way in terms of ending up on a 'survivor sided' map (Mothers Dwelling is arguably even more survivor sided than Eyrie), which just means two offerings were entirely wasted. Also, despite getting the 'advantage', the survivors still lost.

So why are map offerings such an issue?

To me, they're no more a "problem" than hatch offerings, hook offerings, shrouds, or even mist offerings. They're all just ways to shift the RNG in your favour in one particular aspect, and none of them are absolute game determinants, you can still win or lose with or without them.

The only thing I "get" is when a certain map is popular in the playerbase, and you get a bit fed up of playing on the same map over and over again because of it. So in the sense of trying to preserve a bit of map variety, sure, map offerings can be annoying. Which may be all you were trying to point out TC, but still, the general consensus around here is "map offerings are a travesty and must be removed" and I just don't see it.

I had the old mindset that map offerings should be removed, but we all know the actual problem is the design of some particular maps. But its not realistic to expect all maps to be "balanced" either, so maybe making map offerings a % instead of a guarantee could be an option. Still a band aid fix but better than nothing imo.

I think we all know the curse of Deliverance.

All games you play, you're the most altruistic teammate, getting everyone saved, but when you are the one needing help, you are left to die on the first hook.

"I could really use Deliverance right now" - you think, and equip it for your next game, thinking it's going to save you from the not so altruistic teammates.

...and then you end up being found and hooked first.... every... single... game...

    ~ ~ ~

But outside Deliverance, I think everyone has their own cursed perk that never work out for them due to being incredibly unlucky with it.

Doesn't matter which side, what perk is your personal nemesis you wish cooperated with you more?

    I'll go first:

Unbreakable - I swear to Entity, I pray for the day when I'll get to actually use this perk. Run it 24/7? killer won't leave you on the ground for a second. Take it off? The killer decides it's the moment for no hooks game.

STBFL - God ain't this perk overrated or I'm just hella unlucky. Whenever I run it, my obsession finds me first and continues to destroy my stacks throughout the match. Or survivors run perks to change the obsession and render it more useless.

Retribution - I love running hex builds, but the sad thing is, hexes don't last long... Unless I play Retribution. It renders my hexes invisible for the survivors. The one time I WANT them to destroy hexes, they can't find them.

Unbreakable is a big one for sure, first one that comes to mind 🤣

I was just jk my guy

u won good for u, move on and go next, this is the same attitude of survivors waiting at the exit gate to t bag but killer version

Take some accountability for what you say my guy, don't back off saying it was a joke when you're clearly trying to bait a narrative. Maybe come with an original one next time cause I've seem this "joke" in the forums 99999 times already and didn't make me laugh at all.

I'm stating how predictable it was by how often it happens during the weekends when you find a team stacking 4 med kits or tollboxes. I was expecting a BNP team but it was an failed attemped of a sabo squad.

Sure you can call it a "flex" if you want, but as I said, it wasn't a good team. A good team won't get 4 man slugged by a Freddy and probably will have at least one UB. For me, a flex would be beating a really good team but whatever, its dbd who gives a F..

Yeah but do perks really count to make him stealth based? I feel like it's more the perk creating the stealth rather than him.

Debatable, since he can captalize of some different playstyles. I just consider him as a pure M1 killer, don't really think of Michael as a stealth killer that much but it can be done.

  • He can be. If his tier 2 is 99ned and he is using Monitor and Abuse he can sneak up to survivors and get an instadown quite easily (unless in an open field scenario, obviously). The stealth grabs in Tier 1 tho don't work very often, people usually react in time or you get validated by the server.

  • I move on or play for hatch, depends on the match.

Imo Doctor has the best killer design in the game, anti loop, tracking and slowdown all in the same kit. Too bad good design gets outclassed by killers that ignore core mechanics or move at speed of light.

Sacrifices are worth the same either way as long as they arent bleed outs, though it can hurt you on total hooks because you need 9 and if you mori 4 people the most you can get is 8

Oh ok, didn't know the numbers. Always did without moris to be safe.

  • If you're going for adept don't use mori, can cost you the needed points. Sacrifices to the entity are more worth.

  • More power to you my friend. Usually I just say "gg wp" and move on, rare the occasions I see anything productive in endgame chat.

I enjoy playing freddy even though he is pretty weak but I start to feel bad when the survivors start telling me that "boring killer" or it had ruined their night. I am unsure now if I should even continue playing freddy but I wish to now ask at least some of you. Should I still play freddy?

"Ruined their night" these people can't be serious. Freddy is fine to vs, people just love to moan, ignore them.

  • His teleport mindgames are quite fun actually, the bait potential is really high. Not many killers get to teleport ahead of a survivor and get the pleasure to hit them while they're still looking behind confused, its always funny. His addons are underwhelming tho for sure and his snares could be reworked for something more spicy ye.

  • Just want Billy Herrington in DBD, the GACHIKING

  • Not really, its more the community than bhvr tbh. Some people just act like coomers

  • Badham, Disturbed Ward (######### that ape main building), Eyrie, Garden, Cowshed

  • Just because you're waiting 3 minutes doesn't mean its not an even matchmaking, 3 minutes is not that long of a queue for killer atm. Weekends matchmaking is probably way more accurate than normal days, more people playing. I did get the ultimate sweatlords today as well, forgot saturdays are built diff

  • @Shroompy said:

    cool story bro

    🤣🤣🤣

  • Ruin is useless right now, don't even bother trying to use it, and if u pair undying with it = congratz, ur wasting 2 perk slots now. I did around 50-60% of a gen, left it with ruin up, went to another 0% gen, completed it, and when I came back to the first gen it was still around 25% completion. You can just bruteforce against ruin now, thats how ######### the regression is.

Only hex I enjoy using these days is devour and I only use it by itself, if its gone, whatever, I still have 3 other perks to help. Shaman builds get cleansed really quick, so not worth gambling on it. I was trying Freddy with Devour, undying, haunted, retribution and I was playing perkless the whole match. Yea it can snowball and win you a match if things go right, but I prefer a more consistent build. Ironic I got more value from Devour by itself than trying full shaman build to protect it.

  • @AverageKateMain said:

I'm gonna say this as an extreme hot take but I have to ask. What is wrong with you killer and survivor players? Why do you guys do this thing where you seek validation from the other side for playing the game? For example "I dont camp or tunnel and play fair but all I see are sweaty survivors with toolboxes and bnp". Another example is "I dont run gen rush perks or even exhaustion cause I want to have fun but the killers are running nothing but slowdown". I didn't realize in the 6 years of this game that people need to seek validation just for playing the game.

People come up with these fairy tale imaginary rules, I've never seem it in any other game. I've noticed its pretty biased a long time ago when I was still new at the game. I played super nice during a match, avoided to tunnel people just to be nice and still got tbagged and bmed at chat at the end, after that I stopped cared and just played normal since.

I very commonly see people slug for the 4k. I'm not sure if it's a 50/50. Would probably need statistics from BHVR if they can track it, how common it is for a survivor to escape via hatch after 3k with all hooked and slug at last 2 survivors.

I meant 50/50 if he doesn't go for the slug but yea, if the killer slugs, he can probably guarantee the 4k most of the times at that point.

  • @JustAnotherNewbie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3262234#Comment_3262234

I try but the killer is faster and if you spawn at the edge of the map it's easy for them to see you leave.

And I play solo, even if I leave the three are staying once they find a gen🤣

Yea I know how it goes, I play solo q only as well. You see all 4 together, run the ######### away and 5-10 seconds later one of the 3 goes down 😂

Survivors get the false sense of security while sticking close to each other, when they should be doing the opposite. I get a lot of discordance procs while playing killer hehe

  • Weird take, but okay. Hatch is a free extra chance to escape, most killers nowadays are bored to slug for the 4k. Don't take it too serious if you get the hatch or not, its a 50/50 anyway.

  • Sir, let me introduce you to nurse...

  • Thats why you spread out if you start all together. When the opposite happens (spread spaws) the killer gets completely ######### as well, so I don't really agree with "survivors should never spawn together".

And yea, nurse is still a thing somehow. Guess bhvr is waiting SupaAlf one thousand win streak to happen or something, need more evidence that the killer is completely broken 🤡

Why would you want to get to 1600?

MMR isn't a reward, it's not a trophy. It's merely a corrective mechanism to stop you winning too much.

Never said I did. Just wondering how easy it is to get to the "soft cap" point.

    in MMR Comment by Okonar_
  • @Seraphor said:

I'm not sure if any of this is current.

But the starting MMR was 1100, and soft cap was 1600, although they did say they would change the soft cap as necessary, as you imply to maintain it as the top x%. (I've seen 5% and 7% mentioned)

Now the amount MMR changes per kill/escape has never been specified, because it's not a fixed amount. It scales depending on the difference between your MMR and your opponents.

Basically if you escape against a killer with a higher MMR than you, yours increases by more, if the killer's MMR is lower, yours increases by less. Vice versa for deaths, and same principle for killer, however the killer gets 4 rols per game for each survivor.

And pretty soon another factor will come into survivor MMR, which multiplies it again by how many other survivors escape. Although the same rule of escape = increase, kill = decrease stands, just the amount changes.

It could be possible that the killer gets matched with high MMR survivors, kills 1, while 3 escape, and this results in a net increase in MMR because the 1 is greater than the 3. But we don't know the variables to say for certain.

You already fall asleep when you get hit? Unless you have the 30 second buffer that was added after you use a clock... and falling asleep when getting downed also happens doesn't it? You just wake up when you get hooked... So what you want is just to remove the 30second you have after using a clock?

Yeah I meant when you get injured through the alarm clock immunity

It's still no brain. The killer has to hesitate to attack when they're in range, even if the survivor doesn't have it, because they might have it.

Very easy to bait as killer, I don't mind it, most of times I fall for it, its just my fault for being impatient. Half the times you press it doesn't even work on time. It can be a pain in the ass still but way more manageable than it used to be.

1 2 3 4 … 9
