Why do so many members of this community act like little children? Waaaaaaahhhh you didn't let me get points... Waaaaaaaahhhh you cant do that it's not fair...
Waaaaaaaaahhhh it's not fun when you play without using my made up rules...
It's the killers role to kill and the survivors role to survive. However each side plays is fair game.
-
It's fine any time @kcwolf1975 . Play how you want to.
Why care what others may think?
-
@regi375 @Regionlock I barely use the basement. If you would loop me then you'd loop me. You wouldn't be the first person or the last. That's nothing special or brag worthy.
Edit...
It won't let me delete the regi375... I didn't mean to bring you into this.
-
Thank you for your well wishes. I don't plan on changing my main and I hear that it's difficult to make it there with the Trapper.

I started about two years ago, I don’t find killer stressful, it is actually quite fun and I usually make red ranks. :)
I don't care about ranks but on the other hand I am hoping that as I continue playing I'll develop my skills as the Trapper and make it to the red ranks.

You're just new man. Give it some time and you'll feel it eventually.
If there was a god I would pray that would never happen.

I do to, But I hate when I do good as a killer and still only end up with a single kill.
I find it odd sometimes when I play really well and only barely manage to get 1 k some times matched against rank 18-15s then I'll just be running around putting zero thought into it and I'll slaughter a bunch of survivors ranked 12-7.
I wouldn't say I hate it though. I've had some really good conversations after matches by messaging those that made me look a fool. Even had a few people offer to help me with advice.
-
I'm only a new player and in the green ranks so I know my opinion carries very little weight but I find being a killer supremely fun regardless of the time the gens are done or the amount of people that escape.
Perhaps I am just an odd duck.
-
I gotta say I'm a little disappointed in the lack of Trappers...
-
I don't care about rank. I just like to chase people with a machete and kill them.

sure bud. Legit strategy that will get you gen rushed versus any competent team at decent ranks. Why exactly would I be angry, I don't have to deal with you kind of people anymore.
Mate, it is clear to see that you are yet an other individual on this forum that doesn't think.
If you were to remove your head from your arse for just a teeny tiny second you might be able to grow as a person.
I will use the same example I have previously given in this thread as I believe it fairly accurately proves my point.
If I were to say that I love red velvet cake would you assume that red velvet cake is all that I eat?

Camping is insanely cheap if ur gonna play actually be decent all game is anymore is killers whining and complaining ruins it eventually gonna get so stupid the games just gonna die
And for the low cost of the tactic it is quite decently effective... it's a bargain really...
Well worth having in your back pocket as a killer main...
-
No.
-
Dear sir/madam... I have not been made sad or angry by anything that has happened to me in a game and I highly doubt that would change.
If a person employing a legit strategy is enough to turn people off of the game then they aren't really the sort of people that were going to stay anyway.
I feel as though with how personal you have taken my commenting on my love for comping that you may be the sad nerd you try to paint others as.
-
Yeah...As a Trapper main If anything I think maybe starting with 2 bear traps would greatly improve my game. I'm still only new really so a lot of the nuances of the game eludes me but other than that I wouldn't want muh boi touched.
I know it'll change if/when I rank up but Hell even half the time at rank 10 it seems unfair to the survivors that I have any traps on me at the start.
-
I kinda see your point about the hag... and she is a fun little bird to play with on occasion but that strapping hunk of a man swinging his machete is a lot more fun to me... also having people stuck on the spot and not running off into the darkness in my opinion makes a better trap.
I am gonna main the Trapper until the game dies or myself. Whichever comes first.
-
I started on the hillbilly for 2 games. Thought he looked cool and my missus who plays as a survivor was commenting on how much she hated hearing his chainsaw.
Then tried the Wraith, sucked mores arse than a porn star.
3rd times a charm though and I fell in love with the Trapper. Chasing people with a machete is so much fun to me that even when I kill nobody I have a great time.

I like this. Keep this mind set and you won't become one of those people who complain about something being bad because they lost, even if it's not.
However, I will say I saw you say a flashlight is the most useless item a survivor to carry, this depends on the survivor. On an idiot who doesn't know how to use it (I thought it was for looking in gens LOL) its hot garbage, not something like a simple heal. On someone who is skilled with it, it can be quite an annoying thing. They'll follow you around trying to flashlight blind and make you drop survivors.
Or, they'll just blind you while you break pallets which is pretty useless, but alright for some extra points.
Keep playing how you want, and take in the game for what it is, don't become what too much of this game's player base is :>
Hahahaha. Yeah I meant to change that comment about flash lights last week... ran into a few people in 5 back to back games that completely neutralized my ability to get anybody hooked.

This has to be bait lol. Who actually enjoys camping.. It's sad that it can be so effective tho, survivors hate doing gens and look for unhooks too often.
White guys like me enjoy camping.

Thank you very muchly Sir/Mam...
As I have no issues with any survivor strategies, whatever you can make work I say go for it.
It is refreshing to have the approval of a survivor.
-
Thank you for that. You've made my day. I needed cheering up.
-
Agitation. I never think about the hooks I use and the speed boost helps a tonne.

But if you hit the rescuer... why not go after him instead of the poor schmuck who just got saved?
The hit to the rescuer is to shoo them away.

With all due respect, you have no teachables unlocked from what I can tell and somebody had to explain NoED to you. While that doesn't make you a bad player by any means, you seem to be doing well for yourself, you're not really engaged in the greater sprawl.
Grinding up one or two characters is not a problem at all. Optimizing one or two characters can and often does require leveling multiple others, with possible repetitions in the case of poor bloodweb RNG.
If I could get everything I needed for Trapper by playing and leveling Trapper, I would have zero problem with this game's grind. I'd consider it a walk in the park. Things don't really start to get sticky until you introduce teachables.
I didn't know what NOED was. I got the teachable he has, prestiged him for his bloody weapon.
I just play for the fun. I'm currently using the BP I get from him to upgrade other characters.
I don't see anything wrong with having to grind.

Yeah, the grind is just as bad for everyone. The difference is, were not "new players" because we stuck with it.
New players ALWAYS have to grind harder. Because they're new. It's an easy thing to understand.
I've been playing for like a month or something. I think the grind is fine and had no issues with it when I started.
-
Thanks for that. I'm going to use that in the future...

Yes, just keep extremely unhealthy items in the game. Great way to keep the game alive.
You think they are unhealthy. I don't.
-
Camping is fine. You don't have to allow people a chance to escape.

You should reread the rules for killers mate so this sort of thing doesn't happen again. You really only have yourself to blame...
-
What's wrong with the grind?
-
I play games on my phone... Adventure communist and archero mostly...
-
No.
-
As a Trapper main myself I find the amount of people that disconnect the moment after they get hit by me while they are in a trap to be ridiculous.
-
No...
-
I punish it. I don't care about my rank so when I throw a game it's not a concern if I depip or lose rank.
When a survivor wants to play silly games I happily turn them into a victim.
T bag... you become my victim...
Flick that light... you become my victim...
Run to your team mates and stop just beyond them... you become my victim...
They obviously want the special attention and who am I to deny them their fun?

Lucky you, that means you aren't on corn 90% of matches.
I don't mind the corn maps. I usually 3-4k on them. I don't know if that's because I use the Trapper, the way I play or I'm just lucky.

I'm happy to play on Haddonfield the rare times it shows up. It certainly isn't fun, but I'll suck it up and deal with it.
However, if there was a map offering, you better believe I'm gonna work out which person's running Unbalanced Landing and make sure they get the lowest points for the match.
There's a lot of maps that are killer sided or survivor sided, but Haddonfield is pure exploitation when you build specifically for it.
Rare..? It's just about every second match I have.

Do people honestly think getting to rank 1 is that hard? It is easy most people honestly don't want yo
I don't try and I've managed to end up in rank 10... I can only imagine the salt I would receive if I took this game as seriously as a lot of people seem to.

I've only had the chance to hunt that character once, never paid attention to his feet.
-
I did mention getting to know the maps better as a way to fix the issue and brought up my getting screwed over by the maps as a way of pointing out that even though I was making that comment that I have a lot yet to learn about how to play my main effectively.
It's not something to complain about like you see a lot of people do.
-
The way to fix this issue is to learn how to play the maps better and to understand that sometimes it's just not going to go your way.
I almost always use the Trapper and I get screwed over frequently by the maps. I just deal with it, take the loss and hope the entity provides me with a better chance next game.

I've camped out 4k's for maybe 14 of the 16 games I played on Xbox today, got tons of hate messages for it. When ruin is dead in the first 30 seconds of the game and by the time I down someone the first gen is done? Yeah, it's camping time. It's literally the only strategy at red ranks that I can think if you want 4ks. Maybe play nurse or spirit but nah, even I won't stoop that low.
People on the forums always say that camping doesn't work like that in red ranks... I'm only rank 10 and often even the green ranks won't fall for it.
It's awesome to hear of somebody having great success with it.
-
I always run with those perks anyway. I'm gonna give it a shot and see if I can't earn some heat.

What is your basement technique? And do you think it would work for the Trapper?
I haven't had any complaints about my playing for days now 😥😥😥
