Claudette, and Plague. Honestly bro, the two of them don't even belong here. They are innocent in every way, and it just breaks my heart seeing them have to go through this constant torture of trust and despair.

So based on.....gut feelings, you assume that survivors are escaping more than dying? Since you have no data to back it up.
Well you did just try to justify this whole thread with confirmed bad data, so I am not seeing you providing any reliable proof either.

It's fine. Just making sure you know :)
I love you - Marry me. I'll make clown noises for you

People can only be called racist slurs, insults, and told to kill themselves so many times before they stop caring if the other side has fun. I hope you enjoy being exposed when you unhook your friend, and I can teleport to that hook in mere seconds.

It’s objectively killer sided. The stats and data prove this.
Stats that they have already admitted time and time again are greatly skewed. The whole ruin rework is because of these same statistics are skewed. They even admitted that they take statistics at too wide of a perception.
Really is that your immediate go to on trying to debate against this guy with actual facts?
-
I think you have a good opinion. Ranks doesn't really matter, they are more of a way that shows how much a player plays monthly compared to someone else. They just came out with a new hidden MMR system that is matching players against each other instead.
-
It's obvious they do care about their players, the problem isn't the dev's themselves. The problem is the statistics they are receiving, and their decisions on how to deal with problems. All the statistics they use to make decisions are greatly skewed, and they dealt with too many problems with band-aid remedies that has made it hard to balance the game now.
Like in my head the balancing team is just walking around a room covered in loose lego's, and being told to remove the single megablock from the room.
-
I don't mind Ash's, but your icon is Quinton - now that is a trash goblin I would tunnel
-
The blocks are all pretty bad except for Unicorn Block, if your going for more of a slugging build, then Unicorn Block will blind those that trigger snares or fake pallets - making it so that they can't see auras including people on hook or the ground. Which makes it difficult to perform saves.

I like it and will give it a try I like to try different combos and see how I can make them work. I appreciate the respectful feed back as I'm only trying to learn and get better at the game.
Another tip too. Blue Dress is a good add-on to use in place of Swing Chains or Jump Rope, if your not too keen on the nerfs the add-ons got. Gives an added "oof" to your gen kicks which is nice when using Surveillance.
-
"The entity works in mysterious ways" is basically how the narrative wants us to believe. Through the archives you hear the thoughts of someone who was working on trying to find out how the entity works, what it is, and what's its motives are and they have a lot of difficulty figuring it out.

I don't wish to change the definition, I wish to preserve it. Sorry that your narrative will collapse without it, but definitions don't change just because you want them to.
Well so far my comments have only gotten more votes than yours and yours have gotten none. Again. So it seems I do still know the actual definition of the term. Sorry, but the longer you continue to blame the killer for yours or your allies mistakes you won't become better as a survivor - I didn't until I changed my mindset too.
-
Interesting Build, you have a lot going on but very little synergy. Also Pallets are weaker than snares, because the use of snares disables survivors ability to abuse safe loops against you - as well as work as a way to track survivors locations.
The best build for Freddy is;
The Nightmare w/ Red Paint Brush, Swing Chains OR Jump, Nancy's Masterpiece
Make Your Choice, Surveillance, Pop Goes The Weasel, Barbecue & Chili
It's a combination of information, gen regression, and a heavy amount of map pressure. Also when someone gets unhooked, you can teleport nearby, and both survivors are an instant down.

Incorrect. An escape guarantees a GOLD in survival. Escaping without being downed is an iridescent.
That's true, sorry i'm not used to getting downed as survivor so I seem to forget that I can.

Sorry but my definition is the actual one, look at DS and BT(anti-tunneling perks). They give TIME. Clearly your definition doesn't apply to dbd, and that is why I encourage you to stop pressing it upon others.
No. They are considered "Anti-Tunneling" perks because they help stop tunneling, but that doesn't make the definition of tunneling, hitting a survivor off hook. Tunneling works on survivors that doesn't know the game because while another survivor is in chase they are not doing gens, and new survivors don't remain in chase for long - so they need "anti-tunneling" perks to have a chance. This also included insta heals, which have been nerfed for seconds. So then survivors get better at prolonging chases or get punished for it.
No matter how much you pressure others, you are not going to change the actual definition of Tunneling.

For the hatch specifically, no, but we are working on the first phase of disconnection handling (disconnection penalties) and hope to test it against shortly.
That's not going to fix anything. 5 minutes for 1 game isn't a big deal, and for swf they will just go play a different game for anything over 20 minutes - then come right back.
You should balance the game around SWF, and give the same tools to solo's. Like add a voice chat feature, there has been many suggestions of adding a proximity chat feature, which yes is weaker than swf, but would be a fun alternative option.

I get tunneled as Steve most, and I don't tunnel.

You also think tunneling is a toxic or unhealthy strategy, which is also not always the case.
I never said toxic, or unhealthy. I did say though that it's a fast way to lose, because it is. It's apart of what tunneling is. If you lost to a killer that tunneled all game, then you're just as bad at the game. The amount of generators done in that time, and how long a survivor can be in single chase proves that.
Like clearly i'm not going to teach you what the actual definition of tunneling is, but i'm at the same time not going to let you spread lies about what it is.

You think the definition includes it being inefficient...sad thing is no one agrees with you
No the entitled survivors don't agree with me, because it doesn't follow that "I am entitled to a chance to recuperate" mentality you mentioned before. However many, and I mean a lot. Of people agree with the actual definition of tunneling, because it's a global gaming term - that everyone knows.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:

Don't change the definition to fit your narrative. We've gone over this.
I still don't know what you meant when you said "that's better". I still never changed my opinion on the definition of tunneling. Which is a global gaming term, sorry that I am I right and you are wrong. Tunneling is a fast way to lose as Killer because you ignore your objective, and better options. The entire goal of the Killer is to kill the survivors at any cost, and to do that they have to reduce the survivors chances of surviving as fast as possible with only a little time to do so - down to the second. Attacking people off hook is apart of that, but if survivors stopped making unsafe saves then your definition of "tunneling" wouldn't be an issue. So stop blaming the killer for other survivors mistakes, and instead improve as survivors.
Likewise i'm not going to chase a survivor that turns and uses dead hard into a near safe loop, or uses some other exhaustion perk off hook into a safe loop. I'm not going to keep chasing a survivor into a safe loop after they hit me decisive strike either. But it's not the perks that mattered, it's the fact they went into a safe loop. It would waste too much time chasing them there, and if I did chase them there that is what Tunneling is - because at that point I would be focusing solely on catching that survivor and ignoring a very big crucal part of the game - the Generators.
But regardless of how I explain it. If I just put a survivor on hook, turn my back, and your already running up and saving them. I'm going to bop the both of ya's as fast as I can, and I wouldn't care if I had to slug one of you to do it, because being slugged is almost just as bad as being on hook. If the survivor waited a few seconds longer. I would of been well off away from the hook, and damaging a gen, chasing another survivor, or simply too far away that if you unhook and then both dive into different safe loops. Chasing either of you would be too dangerous to pursue.
Am I just talking to a slate wall, or are you understanding this?

Examples of tunneling: downing and hooking the unhooked survivor before they have to recuperate
Examples of camping: staring at the hook waiting to zoom in after someone going for the save
No exceptions...some forms of camping and tunneling are more toxic/unreasonable but that doesn't change that it's all the same. Camping and tunneling aren't dirty words, they are determined by definition and not emotion. I do agree DS needs to deactivate when repairing or unhooking while BT needs to based on range and require that the killer have been purposefully sitting around the hook.
@ClickyClicky said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1067760#Comment_1067760
care to explain what camping and tunneling are then? Oh grand master of dbd knowledge
No that's not tunneling. Just because you were unhooked does not mean you are entitled to having a chance to recuperate. If another survivor unhooks you unsafely, and then you get punished for that - that is not the fault of the Killer. He wasn't tunneling he was just optimizing on survivors mistakes.
Tunneling is when you focus on one target even against better options. It's in the name. Based off what is called "Tunnel Vision".
Oh the examples of camping are hella accurate, but camping is a legitimate strategy when used right.
Like no Killer in their right mind would take 2 steps from a hook, hear the person on hook get saved, and not turn around to smack the guy off hook. That would be dumb, and put the killer at such a huge disadvantage. If they turned and ignored the person off hook, any good survivor would know the Killer is distracted by chase, and will instead work on generators instead of healing - good survivors know when to heal. If the Killer walks across the map, finds you, and then you loop him into the person on hook. It would be stupid for the killer not to smack the guy off hook.
All I can say without needing to make an entire "How to play survivor" walk-through, is learn how to make safe saves that the survivor can safely get away from.

To be fair most stay within terror radius distance so they can get back to the hook quickly to tunnel after the unhook. Trappers are notorious for this.
^ Still doesn't know what tunneling is.
-
Could you imagine thinking the Killer is camping because you can hear their terror radius?
laughs in 20 add-ons/perks that effect the heartbeat
-
The only thing in this game that's trash is that ugly ######### survivor from the Nightmare on Elm Street DLC~
-
I don't even think I want to play this game anymore unless it's filled with THICC BOIS
-
WAIT. Oh man that would be an awful idea to start over again, like what is that? Like $100 for the game and all dlc included?
Unless of course you want to have a main, and a smurf account. You would be going into pro DBD gamer territory then.
-
Because it makes it "unfun for survivors"

By dev's standards dying is also a win
Nice try but you're too predictable now bud
Lol you right. They did say that 🤣🤣
-
Spirit. For the life of me I can't learn her, and since her nerf I can no longer get her Grudge daily (hit a survivor right after coming out of phase). Honestly the only thing I like about her is her awesome Mori. So if any of you Spirit mains see me in Lobby. Mori me bby, and be badass af.
-
No, why would I waste a perk slot with something so useless? It blocks gens so I can't kick them. It's surveillance with a cooldown, that is only activated when I pick survivors up (so slower to use overall). It doesn't even stop survivors that are already working on a gen. When playing Killer every second counts, and that perk just wastes way to many of them.

An escape is different from a win
Which an escape guarantee's an iri in the survival emblem. Then with other points added if you're not at least getting a pip then you're probably a very bad survivor 🤣🤣🤣.
By Dev's standards btw, an escape = win.
-
I would sooner see new objectives on new maps.
Like an indoor mansion map where instead of powering generators the survivors have to find key's and after finding the keys they can use them to unlock one of the two doors on the main floor.
-
Yeah it's true. Also if a survivor DC's it punishes the killer, and if you stomp them before all the gens are complete there is a free win mechanic so the last survivor doesn't take the game hostage by hiding.
What's your point?
-
That would be a good idea for bigger maps. Though the dev's already said their plans on that, so people arguing over it doesn't matter anymore. The dev's plan to decrease the sizes of the bigger maps, while at the same time nerfing toolboxes as a band-aid fix till the maps are finished.
-
1) No. Survivors have a right to be able to choose the map. However the map offerings should not stack, so the Killer has just as much of a fair chance to get the map they desire.
2) I am guessing you play on console... MonkaS
-
The statistics they provided obviously was greatly skewed - for several reasons. People that try to use it as a way to make their point in discussions might as well change their icon to the dressing as a clown meme.

yes, non of what you said makes ANY sense at all.
Apart from this indeed stemming from your personal insecurity....
If you are a good killer and green rank, well..... guess what, nobody will be able to bully you as you are good enough to kill the,...
Second nobody knows your killer rank until the match is over so again, your statement makes no sense.
And lastly YOU ARE being rewarded with bloodpoints, ya know, the stuff you can actually spend to get perks etc?
RANK DOES NOTHING FOR YOU FFS man jeeez.
Do people take me seriously now ZoneDymo-senpai?

Unhooking a survivor right after the Killer just finished hooking them, and thinking the killer wasn't just gonna turn around and bop us both.

I think it would be better without the ridiculous cooldown

If they had a reason to (e.g. Teammates running around the hook like the killer can't see them), I'll just drop a gg and wait around to back them up when my teammates inevitably complain about them camping.

I love you @Peanits - marry me

Actually the new MMR is going to become even more like this. Killer/Survivor ranks are going to become entirely based on how long you have played that month, while MMR is going to dictate who you face each match. So I imagine we are going to even see many more matches of level 20 killers/survivors vs rank 1-4's.

Rework Freddy's add ons now that most of them all useless

Running anything less than optimal is meming to me.
That's me when I solo, but when your in SWF you just take perks that makes everyone faster, and everyone see everything. Then it's just shooting the #########, and bullying the killer. The killer has no chance if everyone is immediately on a gen the moment he begins chase with someone, and if you're all good at looping then no one needs second chance perks.
Not gonna lie as person who plays SWF, and solo. The gap between balance between them is broke af, and SWF needs a serious nerf (even if only a small portion of people are in SWF), or Solo needs a serious buff. Killers just need buffs overall till they are the power role again.

Let the Survivor mains complains begin:
Oh man the survivor complaints have already come, had two people in here arguing over that survivors should get more points for a DC -_-. Like as if they can't just make up the points elsewhere, unlike Killer survivors don't have any emblems that rely on having having 3 teammates. Benevolent can get points just fine off 2 other survivors, and you get Benevolent for escaping killers grasp, powering the exit gates, and doing actions in the basement. While it also starts with a flat bronze regardless, so if the rest of your team dc's you're guaranteed a black pip regardless.

So there is something going on with David's waste when he is wearing Hard Headlights (Shirtless) top, and the Fog Soldier Cargo Pants (Camo Pants/Boots).
When he get's hooked - he also get's cut in half... Yeah literally... His whole midsection across the top of his pants cut open as his torso is put on the hook, and then it realign's itself. Like a belly puppet mouth.
David is entity confirmed.
