  • Very true, I just wanna have fun for a couple hours, I get competitive sometimes, but realistically, I'm happy to die in the end game if it means they'll escape. And on killer, I love to laugh at them tea bagging me because they assumed I'd be camping, but really, I was chasing, and the others chose not to save their team mate

With good timing you can save people :)

Killers need to stop picking up animation to send them to the hook

I'm on xbox, so we didn't get the anniversary update yet. Thanks for the info. S

  • I'm on xbox, so I've only seen clips. So I don't actually know for sure if u can flashlight save before the survivor gets teleported to the hook. But all I really know…killers are running the new perk and Franklin's as if their life depends on it. S

  • Yeah, I don't have the event available yet

  • @Hunkulese said:

They desperately need to add a way to see what your perks do. There are way too many perks and you wouldn't want to use 75% of them in a normal game. I have no idea what a lot of the perks even do when I get them. I'd be shocked if 5% of the playerbase could pick out leverage from the icon and explain what it does. Lots of perks like that.

They do, just look below your ping during the match

  • Leave this mode in the game permanently please, it's a lot of fun and a great change of pace

  • On xbox with the same issue as well

  • Wesker is a great killer, he doesn't need some garbage killer instinct. All it does is make him tunnel

All experienced players have a way to stealthily leave Wesker after the vaccine treatment at a distance, right? If Wesker is still sniffing around you, he must be thinking, "Well, no one is trying to complete the gen, so I can just dig the tunnel in peace." In other words, it's your companion's responsibility. In such a dire situation, your friends should show Wesker that they are actively completing gens for your safety.

He's not thinking about a gen. He's mid chase and I'm 199 meters away but his killer instinct makes him leave chase and come back. They tunnel because they think it's a must. He needs to tunnel and get the guaranteed W or else something terrible will happen to him

Survivors don't want to play anymore. They want to ruin around the killer and if they get hit once, they immediately quit. I had multiple games yesterday where I was the only survivor who didn't quit as soon as something didn't go my way.

    True story

  • I don't know why people keep talking about healing under hook. All experienced players already know that the killer is gonna come back after an unhook 75% of the time. I get healed somewhere safe, then grab a vaccine...wesjer will stop everything he's doing the moment I try to vaccinate. It literally happens 4 out of 5 Wesker matches.

I understand that there are 3 or 4 killer nails that just wanna have fun chases and won't come rilunning to you the moment u vaccinate, but almost all of them cone running back because winning is mire fun than playing the game.

How nany of u survivors have unhooked and died, instead of just leaving out the exit. We exist and we need more of us

  • Why do they get a killer instinct for me using a vaccine? It only promotes tunneling. Am I wrong for thinking this? Give a legit reason why they should get a killer instinct. No realistic person is gonna say they need it fir the betterment of the game.

I love using Wesker, he's fun. I get a killer instinct and the game is basically saying...hey, go over there, they've been hooked, u will win if u go there

  • @xltechno said:

Do not use the vaccine immediately after unhooked yourself, it is a big mistake. Survivors should be the first to leave from hook unless there is a good reason to do so, and use the vaccine after completing treatment. Unless you're in a situation where the killer is never coming back, leave from hook right away. Survivors should remember that staying on the hook and letting the killer know about it is one of the worst things you can do.

Wedkers stop chase all the time once they get their bogus killer instinct. It needs to be removed

Of all the survivor perks that need buffing why are we trying to buff an already top 10 meta perk? Let’s focus on buffing all the other really bad ones.

It's not a top 10 perk, it's not 2022. The perk was nerfed cuz it was a top 10 petk. Is there any other exhaustion perk that u can only use twice? It can't even be used cuz everybody is like...if u wanna win, just tunnel. If you've played more than just 5 hours, youll see that killers come back and tunnel 4 out of 5 games. That's fine, i wanna win too. But even when the unhooker does everything possible to take chase, the...I must win no matter what mentality...leaves them slugged and the killer still tunnels you after only 1 gen is complete. Pallets get used, resources are gone. The killer will down you. They are faster, they have an M2 plus a map traversal option. They keep making undetectable and haste killer perks. All killers have some sort of power. Survivors only have skins, a terrible DS, OTR only works if your not hit immediately after an unhook, DH is pathetic, healing without sloppy takes 24 seconds.

The game also needs survivors to be happy to keep it going... Now there's talks about nerfing adrenaline. A perk that only works after you've pretty much won. It may cause a survivor to escape, how nany games have u played where noed gave the killer 2 extra kills and got them a 3 or 4K? Far more than adrenaline has saved one survivor

DH strait up sucks. Not worth using. It doesn't work 50% of the time which is unacceptable for a perk you get to use at most 2 times. It should be usable for ever hook stage so a max of 3. The activation time needs to be faster. It feels so delayed and often doesn't happen at all.

Yes, ping also makes it bad, along with only 2 uses. Killers get' bloodlust faster than ever and hasted by perks more than ever. Why can't I use dead hard more than twice? They have STBFL built in, wow, I get hit and get 10 meters of space now, awesome

DH is effectively another health state and it should never be buffed beyond where it is. DH was an incredibly unfair nightmare for killers for years and it definitely does not need any changes imo

DH is not another health state if u get hit immediately after an unhook. It is nothing at that point. I can be used twice, but only if you've been unhooked and not hit immediately after an unhook. All other exhaustion perks can be use without that type of restraint. If it can only be used twice...You should be able to use it even under the restraint of endurance. How is that not a reasonable thought?

  • @SpaghettiVase said:

I don't think I've really ever seen dead hard used at all, and the only time I did the player managed to change an OTR hit to a DS stun to a DH hit and it was impressive to see but I don't think it changed the outcome of the game much.

If you waste a oerk slot on DH and the killers u face always comes back to the hook and hits u so they can tunnel an win without trying...DH has no purpose. It can only be used twice, but that's if ur not tunneled. Tunneling is promoted by 90 percent of killers now days....they're like . I just wanna win and tunneling nakes it no contest

  • And complain all u God tier survivors that think that dead hard shouldn't be available vs tunneling Killlers that immediately hit u off the hook. Thank you for your time.

I can make survivors suffer a lot with it, unless you want to make it irrelevant % on both.

It may surprise you, but slow gen speed is really boring and there are things to make it even worse.

You could easily create Forever Freddy kinda thing, which really wasn't popular to play against.

I'd rather actually play the game over being tunneled at 5 gens

Yes. Sounds good to me. Reward the killer for not tunneling at 5 gens. Perfect.

And also don't return the gen speed back to normal until a survivor is out of the game.

  • @VomitMommy said:

Yes. Sounds good to me. Reward the killer for not tunneling at 5 gens. Perfect.

  • The xeno sits in the hole under the hook or gen undetected, which let's him tunnel easily. Same for sitting under gens with dragons grip

  • How many powers do u need as a killer? If u won't remove killer instinct then he should be like Nemesis and not injure u with his power until you're already infected.

  • They destroyed DS purely because it was always used. This meta shake up doesn't consider why it was used, the devs just got rid of DS to force players not to use it.

Changing overused perks us fine but they don't seem to understand that some perks need to be in the game.

I don't like the DH change but that perk doesn't have to be in every match. DS unfortunately, is an absolute must use perk. Just look at how bad tunneling is now that DS is trash. Players have always tunneled, but wow, I see 1st hook tunneling at 5 gens in easily 4 out of 5 games now.

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

Worse. I think there should be an escalation of penalties for habitual offenders, leading to heavy bans. The system should be forgiving for the first couple (to account for connectivity issues), but spike if that player has numerous disconnections in a short time frame.

By heavy penalties I mean 24h/72h/Month/Perm (for people who do it multiple times every play session).

Don't want the devs wasting their time curating another server just for people who can't be bothered to play the game as it comes like civilized people.

There's just no excuse for repeatedly disconnecting. If your internet is being wonky, getting booted a couple time in a short time should tell you to step away until it gets better. People aren't entitled to ruin others' games by trying to force the issue when their internet is crapping the bed.

And if someone's internet is just always awful/unstable, online multiplayer games like this might not be for them. Not what they want to hear (I've been there, I get it), but the truth.

    That sounds reasonable

Or you can just make a normal punishment for each dc, as in all competitive games. 30 minutes + 30 minutes for each next one.

Especially now, when they want to add bots instead of real players who left the match, literally giving them carte blanche to leave any game for any reason with current penalty

Do you want to ruin the match for 4 other players? Please sit in the lobby for half an hour and think about whether you want to do this next time.

PS. YOUR bad connection also is YOUR problem, if you are going to play ONLINE game, if someone gonna hit me with "but my internet......"

That sounds good. Also I forgot about bots but hopefully they can be successful when or if they add them. Generally many things get messed up each patch. Let's hope bots don't make the game more buggy than usual.

DCing is a selfish act in general, although if it's because of an emergency at home or an internet issue then it's understandable.

However, quitting because they aren't having fun just messes it up for everyone. There is no "sometimes" when it comes to the negative impact on others; it is always negative.

Maybe if people who disconnect regularly are forced to only be able to play with people who do the same, perhaps they'll understand how unfair and weak it is.

Yup. Put players that consistently DC into their own lobbies until they stop doing it.

The intent was to roll out dailies for the individual killers you play the least, or killer in general if you mainly play as a surv, meant to encourage playing them more often.

Definitely a good idea imo, as I firmly believe more of the playerbase being at least competent in both roles would lead to some empathy for other players, possibly less toxicity as a result.

I'm not the best at killer although I know what I'm doing. I just don't like playing a so called, low tier killer because if I play bad, the disgusting attitude of survs lights up the end game chat and my inbox. There's a lot of disrespectful people in this game.

In a Q&A that was a couple years ago they said they knew that Daily challenges leaned more towards killer and they were looking into a solution. In that time the only change they've made was increasing the BP on a Daily.

  • It worked. I went to the Microsoft store, typed dead by daylight, went to add ons, hit the show all button, then I individually re-download all my content that had said I already purchased. Thanks for your help. Luckily, I never lost my Demo, Steve and Nancy since they can't be re-download.

  • That better not be permanent

  • Does it make you pay money?

  • I'm looking at my achievements list and not just dbd is saying 0%. This may be a Microsoft issue.

Yes they were and yes it was. The patch notes said word for word that is was too strong to have the killers hard work removed in a "matter of seconds". Like, go check them thats what they said. The killer isnt gonna get any pressure value if its only there for 16 seconds, which it would have been because you just heal immediately as the killer leaves you. 16 seconds, no pressure, done. The fact you could do it like 5 times at 10 seconds was the overpowered cherry on top. The healing efficiency and speed reductions were added to combat this, making self healing a trade off instead of guaranteed value. 24 seconds means that you can heal yourself but spend more time off gens, so is it smarter to do gens and get healed by a teammate or heal yourself now? It makes you analyze the situation for maximum value, relying on gamesense and decision making. Before it was just hold button for 16 seconds, ez pressure denial.

Im so done with people using ping as an argument for DHs balance, and timing. Avg human reaction time is 250 milliseconds. A killers lunge at MAX RANGE lasts 800 milliseconds. Dh lasts for 0.5 seconds or 500ms, meaning that only if the killers at max range they can swing through your DH and down you. 250ms lasts for about a fourth of the lunges total duration, DH lasting for more than half, meaning that if you aren't in that small window where the time the lunge lasts before the down is less than 250ms, the DH will go through if the survivor has 1 braincell. That meant that DH+pallet loops was uncounterable. You are in a position where you could normally lunge and down them, but the existence of DH (even if they arent using it) means you walk up and wait for a second before downing. That meant that DH, even if you werent using it and the killer hadn't seen another EX perk, would practically guarantee you the pallet. Because either the killer swings and you DH, or they dont and you get the pallet. The only possible way this doesnt happen is if you somehow mess up the DH, something I've already explained is very hard to do if you have any semblance of reaction time, or your ping sucks. Speaking of ping as a defense for DH, yeah no. Game balance isnt hinged on how bad you internet connection is. Thats like balancing around low MMR, its pointless and bad for game health. By that logic nurse is fair because someone with a bad conenction will have rubber banding survivors, making them impossible to hit. Games are balanced around the top 1% because those are the best, most dedicated players who are great examples of whats actually overpowered rather than what low MMR players think is. So by that same logic, why should we not nerf a clearly broken perk because some people have bad connections and can't even use it? If you had a better router, you could. Easily.

Not to mention nearly every single injuring killer power is rendered unusable by DH. Wesker becomes much more janky against a DH user, and if they have reaction time (hint:everyone does) they'll land it nearly every time. Huntress became a slow killer without a power, because not matter how hard you predict or flick survivors the audio and visual cues combined with travel time are long enough to react and click e. Same with nurse, though it was harder than others. Billy cant go for curves, and he can't wait it out while in chainsaw because he cant just stop moving and go behind the survivor without exitting saw making him even less fun. Close range artist birds? Just run through and click E, either she launches and you get onhit burst or she doesnt and boom you are still standing. No piggy ambush, no demo shred, no oni demon dash (see hillbilly), no literally any killer that has either travel time, sound and visual cues or both.

    So if im counting right...

    Dead Hard Was

    • Uncounterable at pallets
    • Removed an entire mechanic integral to killer, lunging. Applies to non users early game as well.
    • Deleted like 10 killer powers, something no perk should ever do.
    • Clearly overpowered and rightfully nerfed.

Was it fun to use? Yeah, kinda miss it as survivor. Was it engaging and unique around vaults and deadzones? Hell yeah, hitting one there is actually skillful and requires prediction and thought. Was it fair to remove lunging, guarantee a pallet, and delete killer powers? Hell ######### no, glad I never have to deal with this perk again.

Next time you even bother to debate have some evidence, an explanation, or anything other than strawmans and weak arguments on your side.

    Nope

  • My killers are gone too

  • We all know medkits were OP. All I'm saying is keep every change the same, but stay at 16 seconds. That would mean the purple, green, yellow and brown medkits are changed to not have triple heals and not have 8 second heals. That makes medkits not OP. U can't count on survivors to heal u because they are too busy DC'ing. I'm left in a shorthanded game and want to make the best of it by healing myself before the killer returns so I can have a fun chase and try not to depip because of the quitters.

  • @ehe said:

16 second self heals were the reason they were overpowered, reverting thats a bad idea. Yeah iron will and DH suck now, they needed nerfs and all but killing them wasnt very cool. Iron will is all or nothing though, its either you are quiet 100% of the time or you aren't, making it either garbage or overpowered.

Healing is way more necessary without DH because you can't literally just click E and not go down. That "easy hit" has to be earned by outplaying the survivor into a position to land it, or because the survivor straight up failed. In either of those situations DH could (IN THOERY) get you out scott free, especially by pallets. I miss DH when it was used around vaults, it was so fun to out-predict each other.

Also all stealth killers are like, C-tier or below. They typically have no chase power outside of maybe exposing someone, but even then the "easy hit" is still very much earned. And spirit is probably one of the hardest killers, like you literally cant see anyone while phasing. Shes got a fair amount of counterplay, while injured you can still use vaults and pallets. Or you could just not get injured in the first place. TL;DR not so easy hit. Spirit boosted though.

idk if this counts as git gud nonsense

Medkits were not overpowered at 16 second heals. They were overpowered with triple heals and emergency medkit heals with add-ons that heal u in 8 seconds. DH was not just a hit "E key" either. The timing, also ping, were very important. Go copy another statement said on YouTube or by a streamer and then use their opinions again.

Now this is the type of comment I like to see. Instead of immediately saying wrong, you're choosing to challenge a very biased person. Props to you

So I'm biased because I'm saying keep all the changes in the game the same, except change 1? It's not biased to know that starting a chase healthy and starting a chase, out of position and injured, is bad for every survivor and boring to every killer that wants more than just a 4K. The chases are what make the game fun. Not counting u of course, I'm sure your the best looper regardless.

Medkit self heals even with sloppy are still less than old self care which was 32 seconds without sloppy and still less than altruistic heals which is 16x2. Sorry if ur not a one man army anymore and have to play as a team as survivor is intended.

And there was a reason why only new players used the 32 second self care. It was a meme perk that got u laughed at for using it. 30 seconds basically is the old self care. If u actually play this game, then u know very well that teams are inconsistent and unreliable. If BHVR wanted better teams, they would have voice chat in the game and not make u find a Discord.

The most unique killers are some of the most complained about ones.

Wesker: Popular and played a lot.

Nurse: People complain for all kinds of reasons.

    Blight: Same as above.

Pinhead: Tough on solo queue players to an extreme degree.

Knight/Twins (summoning): Their optimal tactics being 3-gens and slugging respectively.

    Could go on and on.

I agree. If you complain about getting beat by a simple Killer like Trapper, your thread will be overloaded with entitled players telling you that your trash at the game. That's why the complaints are targeted at Killers with more than just a basic power. There needs to be more variety to older Killers powers so players have fun using them.

  • @GensByDaylight said:

Please, just complain about Nurse or Blight... Wesker is the only killer that actually feels balanced from both sides.

I just want a variety. I'm not really complaining about him, I'm suggesting that he gives you such a good reason to use him, that so many other Killers are being left behind. That's why I'm suggesting to update the older Killers.

Let's be real, ever since Starstruck got nerfed, we don't see Nurse nearly as much. Not to mention, Nurse mains know that the DC rate is so high that many of them are finally branching out to Killers like Blight, Spirit and Wesker.

Sounds pretty selfish for a survivor to DC as the match begins knowing that they're playing a team game, just to sit in the lobby and do nothing waiting out the DC penalty.I get it, everyone hates certain perks, certain play styles and certain killers. If your an experienced player, you should know how annoying this "quitter mentality" is. But, do as you do, it's your choice. Good luck next game.

I crawled for hatch and killer closes it in front of me, proceeds to pick me up and NOT hook me while just going around the map just using Mad Grit (I wasn't struggling). I eventually begin struggling because he brought me to gate so I thought he was going to let me out. Nope, just hits me again and picks me up to repeat. That was when i Dced

I was the last one alive in a recent game and the killer closed the hatch as I got near it. So I decided to just loop until he downs me, which lasted about 1 minute. Then he refused to pick me up just hitting M1 near me and then proceeded to bleed me out. This was in a match where 2 people dc'd and so the next survivor killed himself on hook. I didn't tea bag or bm in any way but he still decided to bleed me out. And finally, I got the ggez and was told that I'm trash.
