It’s good, a bit complicated. Our point is they purposely make things too complicated already and whether on purpose or accidentally create a weak perk
Most of the complaints in this thread are about the downsides negating the upside, not about how complicated the perk is to trigger or comprehend.
-
The game can still be taken hostage; Survivors just do it differently now. If they haven't "gotten their fair share" of Bloodpoints they will not finish the last gen until they're done bull-- milking the Killer for points. This is why I wish there was a Concede option. I know I lost. I know it's over, but it's not over until the other team who is beating the crap out of me says it's over.

Second wind is not good.
Hmm. That was easy... I thought you said that I could not tell you this. Everyone's a liar and a con.
I only see Second Wind working on my healer build (Empathy, Autodidact, Solidarity, Spine Chill), but if I were to replace any of these 4, Aftercare would have priority over Second Wind

Ohhh i like that idea, what do you typically run as your 4th perk on that? Exhaustion, iron will maybe?
Run whichever perk you like. I use the build on Jane and have Boil Over as her 4th (for reasons I will not disclose on a public forum).

No bc killers have powers and base abilities added to their kit.
And Survivors have items and addons for their base kit (x4 Survivors)...
-
"Stop nerfing NEW strong survivor perk."
This is an assymetrical game; Survivor perks need to be under 4x as much scrutiny because if a Survivor perk is strong, it can be equipped on FOUR players.
-
That explains the issue I had.
I was tired of others trying to heal me first, so I never let go of the sprint button to loop around them until they stopped moving for their heal
-
"Why do totems spawn NEXT TO GENERATORS?"
Because the Entity feeds on hope, and not just the Survivors' hope.
Killers have to hope their hex totems spawn somewhere hidden...
Players have to hope that the next chapter will come with good perks...
-
Insidious already allows Option 3.
If they're going to leave the yellow aura, then they should increase the Killer's move speed to make Options 1 and 2 more effective; especially since the perk has a cooldown.
When the Killer kicks the gen, they gain 1 token for every Survivor currently repairing a generator. For the 15 seconds of Undetectable, the Killer moves 1% faster per token. All tokens are lost when the Killer attacks.
This can even give some useful info. If you kick a gen and get 4 tokens then you know for a fact that no one is hiding near this gen, as all 4 Survivors are repairing elsewhere.
-
Maybe playtesters cannot "adapt" to new perks quickly enough, resorting to uneceesary nerfs before they are even approved for the PTB?
-
Trail of Torment
You guide your victims along a path of pain and punishment
Kicking a generator makes you Undetectable and causes Survivors actively repairing generators to hear a distant illusionary Terror Radius for 15 seconds. While active, the first generator to stop being repaired will instantly explode and regress. This applies an additional regression of 8%.
This effect can only trigger once every 100 / 90 / 80 seconds.
----
The stress of a fake terror radius pains them, and may guide (scare) them off a gen. The first one to leave their gen (if any) will have it explode and regress as punishment.
No yellow gen to reveal your trick (but a fake TR doesn't apply Unnerving Presence, Coulrophobia, etc, so Survivors can tell if it's fake in those cases).

Ironiclly that would be even more potent. It takes 10 seconds to stalk someone dry.
They would have to be on death-hook, and disabling stalking by reaching EW3 gets in the way. That said, it would aso mean that a Scratced Mirror addon would prevent mini-mori'ing
-
So if the other 3 Survivors feed the Shape the whole match, I can get mori'd even if I didn't?
Maybe the Shape's condition is that the survivor has to be red (stalked dry, or close to it). Then it wouldn't punish Survivors who were effective in avoiding feeding the Shape his Evil Within.
-
Yes, Left Behind will be good to learn the hatch spawn locations.
Another good perk to run for the new chapter would be Quick & Quiet. I'm all Ears will be useful for the Executioner to land ranged hits on survivors who have quickly vaulted. Quick & Quiet does not make a loud noise, and does not trigger I'm All Ears, keeping your aura hidden.

I wanted a "deny unhook" option, in the past. But see toxic people could still use that to abuse their team..by wasting your time coming to save them (when they are safe to be unhooked) and just not let you. You could have been working on gens..
Best way is just to punish the toxic unhooker instantly..I think.
Simple fix: You're only allowed to Deny Unhook within the Killer's terror radius (or within 24-32m of the Killer), and if the unhooking Survivor does not have Borrowed Time equipped.
-
They ought to use a fill gague during the struggle phase. If the gague fills up completely then you are sacrificed. Pressing a button (not spamming) or passing a skill check (at pre-determined intervals) should reset the gague.
-
I have no reason to rage-quit as Survivor. Survivors can run through flailing chainsaws without Dead Hard. They're invincible.
-
Someone else created a Killer idea about a blind woman who uses echo location (or similar effect) to see. I wondered if there was a way to incoporate the birds into it. The more birds nearby, the clearer she sees. Disturbed birds give momentary full vision.

Also, re: your analogy. If your grandmother were playing... I dunno, chess with you, and you were playing the black side and flipped the board in anger, do you think she would be cool playing with you if you agreed to play the white side instead?
I'm not in Australia and my Survivor Rank is different from my Killer Rank, so I wouldn't even be playing with or against the same people. And if the white team in Chess gets to make 4x more moves per game than black then they are not the same.
-
@HellDescent said:
So you don't dc it as survivor...If person dc there are usually patterns.
If I rage quit because Dwight doubles back and runs through my flailing chainsaw without getting hit, then he makes it to every pallet and every window with perfect timing, and then he jumps into a locker just when I think he's out of position for a down... That's a 1-time rage, not a pattern. I'm not about to go into a Survivor match and disconnect again, because there is no Dwight pulling such BS (at least, not against me).
-
Didn't the devs say they're looking into the grind once again? Considering removing tiers?
-
For the Hooks stat, did you only count when the Killer hooked a Survivor, or did you also include when a Survivor went from one hook state to the next (summon phase to struggle phase, and struggle phase to sacrifice phase)?
If those hook stats are accurate, then it's pretty clear how weak Killers are. Killers complete 7/12 of their objective, on average, while Survivors complete 4.5/5 of theirs.

Kindred for solo players.
It's very underrated in the red/purple ranks as a solo survivor. I tend to bring it in case I'm with a 3/2 man survive with friends. Kindred is very strong in regards to communication and coordinates among on teammates. If you're a solo survivor and you bring kindred you'll no doubt have someone save you in no time as they can be sure who's going for the save or not.
Too true.
I have a build to punish campers: Kindred, Open Handed, and Camaraderie, but the others don't know I have Camaraderie and I get rescued sooner than I'd like because of Kindred. I want to milk as much time out of the hook as possible, not be unsafely unhooked in front of the camper 10-15 secs in.
Kindred is a double-edged sword.

See, you're not understanding.
This killer has really bad net, have you ever tried to grab the same person twice in the same animation and it fail both times? I haven't, when I fail a grab the survivor is already running away, watch the video again, he somehow manages two false grabs on the same person in the same locker, which I've personally never seen happen
If my "internet is really bad," then where is the High Latency icon in the top left?
-
If grabbing is impossible because of latency, then why put in a challenge that requires the other team cooperating/farming? Ridiculous.
-
It's not entirely about latency. Why does the Survivor's input-spam have priority over my input-spam even though her previous action is still finishing up?
-
I only get GG's when it's easy for the Survivors ("ezgg"), and I only get salt when it's hard for them.
Survivors don't want a challenge; they want to bully the Killer and look cool doing it in front of their friends.
-
Okay, so if I get a map that has that tile, I should just... ??
Can't go AFK.
Can't down any Survivors.
Can't play the game normally.
Can't disconnect without a penalty.
-
I recorded a clip of missing an attack normally and of getting robbed of a hit because of the way the Survivor abuses movement to force a miss.

I use Deja Vu to make my way to the middle of the map to prevent the team from being 3-gen'd, and I use Streetwise to make my toolbox last 0.01 seconds longer. If the Killer shows up I try to stealth nearby with Stakeout so that if I'm not found for 15 seconds then my next skill check will give me a 2% bonus instead of a 1% (and I don't even need to be Great at it). I run Boil Over in case I do get caught though, just so that I'm a minor inconvenience to the Killer (I never actually wiggle free). /s
I hope the Trial Warmup gets implemented and gives bonus Bloodpoints to the poor sap who gets found first.
-
On console, when I'm chasing a Survivor and anticipating a 360, I will look down at their feet to better track their movements. I will then use my left thumbstick (move) to strafe or back up if I need to the best I can. Some Survivors are still tricky.
-
- Fixated
- Urban Evasion
- Diversion
- Any Means Necessary
You will be mostly useless, but the sooner you get this challenge done, the fewer the matches you will be useless for. Follow the Killer around and use Diversion to distract and use Any Means Necessary to reset pallets the Killer chooses not to break during chases.
Iron Will and/or Lightweight can be substitued in.
At least this challenge is on some dead-end offshoot and not literally blocking the rest of the tree like that "stun the killer with a pallet 6x" challenge.
-
"The reason you don't see many Nurse's now is more because many players relied on Omega Blink or liked to abuse it. Now with that gone, many stopped playing her." - @LapisInfernalis
I've never used the "Omega Blink." It requires addons which are burnt after the match ends and means I have to siphon Bloodpoints to restock her addons. Not for it. I rarely use addons for killers.
----
The Blink recharge should be removed outside of chases. It was implemented to give Survivors a chance to break line of sight during chases as a means of escaping a pretty much inescapable killer. It should only affect chases.
I stopped playing Nurse altogether because she has to either blink to get anywhere or crawl at a snail's pace, and the recharge turned that chore into a project.
-
Takes forever to find a match as Survivor. Killer queues are instant.
Tells me no one's playing Killer.
Why is that? Do people not want "ez kills?" Do they prefer a challenge with the new "Survivor Hard Mode?"
-
May just boil down to the fact that only one Survivor can perform the unhook. It then becomes a race for some Survivors. If they're in it for the points then there's nothing stopping them:
- Big pool of points? Check.
- Loss in Rank if it's an unsafe unhook, meaning they face easier Killers? Check.
- 1 step closer to the hatch spawning? Check.
-
That's because it's based off of a fictional video game character and not an actor.
When they got the rights to use Halloween's, Nightmare on Elm Street's, and Saw's killers it did not include the actor's likeness, so they had to use a different face for the main protagonist (Survivor).
That's why Nancy and Steve look so spot on; the devs were allowed to use the actor's likeness.
-
Sucks that Legion won since very few actually play as them (I don't). Oh well. I don't buy cosmetics with money anyway.
-
I'm hoping the new Legendary Skin cosmetic type is unlocked via Devotion.
The first one for Lisa Garland will simply require Devotion 1, as it will be awarded to a majority of players whom haven't no-lifed the game.
Subsequent skins will require more and more Devotion, but players should have the time to work toward higher Devotion levels, as it may take a good length of time between each Legendary Skin release (whether intentional or not).
-
Crows through walls are equally annoying. I'm repairing a gen in a small closet inside a house on Haddonfield. The crows outside are still spooked.

Isn't the pale and foggy version of the town like purgatory while the dark and bloody version is like hell?

What if flashlights can break "holes" in the Executioner's trench(es)?
-
Yes, when I equip Boil Over, the Killers have Iron Grasp.
When I equip Empathy, Autodidact, and Solidarity, the Killer is Plague and Survivors either cannot be healed or use the fountains to heal.
-
As far as countering Decisive Strike, there is something to consider: what if the tormented status effect goes away once hooked like Freddy's sleep?
This would mean that you have to get the unhooked Survivor with Decisive Strike to walk through a trench before you can bypass their DS.

I didn't recalled that part of the video. Either way i rather them wait it out on PTB then nerfed if they feel like it unbalanced.
Here's where they talk about that part of his power (skip to 1:22:26 if the embedded video does not start there):

Plus the mori!!!!
They only showed the mini-mori...
Imagine the full mori ripping the flesh off of Survivors!
-
I don't think Tiersis is talking about the mini-mori. I think they're talking about the torment chamber teleport. The Executioner can teleport players to "hooks" without the worry of flashlights or Decisive Strike, but, as metalklok mentioned, they have to be in torment status first. Skipping the pickup, transport, and hook steps should not remove that much from rank progression to cause a black-pip de-pip.
-
At first I thought you were talking about the Executioner's new perk that makes Survivors who take rescue hits oblivious
-
I've never seen the Pinhead movie (Hellraiser?). I wouldn't know what meme build to use for him/it.
-
I agree with the sound effects being reduced. His attacks are heard map-wide, and his footsteps give away his direction and distance when on the same tile as a Survivor; as if his size, shape, and color didn't already give him away (on top of the standard red stain).
Honestly, how did this thing ever get the drop on Marm??
