Same way Boon perks on the SAW map got through π€·ββοΈ

And how about a Legendary skin for Plague that makes her vomit a stream of green flying bugs. They crawl all over you as they infect. You have to wash them off you at a founatin, and the Plague can drink from the fountain to vomit a deadly stream of black flying beetles which injure the survivor. The Plague's weapon is replaced with long retractable nails, and she wears a pale white dress and wide-brimmed black hat.

Maybe as an addon, at most.
Call it Blinding Rage. He starts in his rage mode, but suffers from the blindness status effect until his rage ends.

Did you not received your copy of the holy book of the
entitledsurvivors, the "Survivor's Morals Rulebook"? Doing any of those things you said there is going against their made up rules and therefore that sinner should be banned. The holy trinity mantra of the Survivor's Morals Rulebook is as follows:
- Everything should be fun for the survivors. A killer can't play smart with the intention of winning if it affects my enjoyment of the game. My fun should be the top priority, so you should not camp, you should not tunnel, and overall you should not play to win, you should play for my entertainment. And if the killer do or can do something that is not amusing to me he should be banned.
- Everything the killer can do should have and easy, clear counter so survivors can completely nullify it. If the killer does something that requires me to change my perk build, learn how to go against it, or anything that isn't just wall hugging a loop and drop pallets it should be nerfed or completely reworked.
- Doing anything that doesn't allow survivors to play however they want and win means the killer is taking the game hostage. If me and my pals have a full SWF sabo squad, the killer down me and we take all of his hooks so can't hook me, his duty is to take the L and let me go. If he dares to commit the sin of slugging me because he can't hook me, he is a baby unskillful pity killer and should be banned for taking my game hostage as is impeding me to keep playing.
And some people take this mentality to the extreme. The last video of SpookNJukes is a great example, as it is a guy, TTV non of the less, literally reporting for "racial slurs" because he knows what the killers are doing is not bannable so is literally lying to get them banned. It's unbelievable.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLx4L8ScTx0
So yeah, it would be nice if they added some kind of pop up saying "Before you report, this is not a reportable offense: *List*" for the people that still really don't know, but I really think it won't make any difference as most of them knows it is not bannable and they just simply don't care, they are going to still report it one way or another.
"A killer can't play smart with the intention of winning if it affects my enjoyment of the game."
The game? Don't you mean my game?
-
"I am not playing this game to sweat against 4 flashlights, 3 saboteurs, 2 breakdowns"
Shouldn't SWF be locked to ranked then? If you have to sweat against this, how would that be considered casual?
-
Well, when DbD 2 comes out, we won't have to imagine
-
If the game were equally fun for both sides and equal number of players queued as both roles, matchmaking would take forever.
The game has to be 4x more miserable for the killer to keep the 4:1 survivor to killer ratio, for matchmaking purposes.
-
I heard that guards in chase will go around pallets that are dropped or slow vaulted, and will only go through pallets if the survivor fast vaults.

This is a surface level similarity and you know it. A boon on another floor doesn't stalemate the game. A drone right below or above a gen on another floor can easily cause exasperatingly long games.
It does stalemate the game to a degree. The 3-gen standoff would swing to the killer's favor quicker, and thus allow the game to end sooner, if the survivors didn't have a hospital built in the opposite corner of the map to solo heal ad infinitum.

Nerfing an entire βclassβ of perks for one killer is problematic, so I would hope not.
Nerfing an entire class of perks for no reason is more probelmatic; especially if no one asked for it
-
On Xbox, the issue I'm having is instant queue times as killer (normal for this time of day, for me) and I'm having long queue times as survivor, yet the BP incentive is stuck at 100% for survivor.
-
I second this.
Also, I have to spam the buttons on the controller to skip the intro trailer movie. If I press the button only once and get unlucky, the sequence isn't skipped if I pressed it while the video was freezing.

How the Circle of Healing has come full circle...
Killers have been having to go all the way around to get to a boon to snuff it for a year. It hasn't even been a week and the survivors are already fed up.
Don't worry, the multi-floor drone zone will get nerfed. Circle of Healing will be left untouched.
-
I woud gladly trade 2 weeks without those killers for 2 weeks of no Dead Hard
-
Do you think it's in preparation for an upcoming killer? π€

One way to know what killer you're going to get, and this doesn't work all the time, but if you read the tips on the loading screen, you'll sometimes see a tip about facing a killer; if you see a tip about a specific killer, then you'll be facing that killer in the game.
(That only happens the first few times you face a killer you've never/barely gone against.)
Are you saying that the OP saw the load screen tooltip, went back into the lobby, changed their loadout to equip the BNP, and then went back into the load screen?
-
Just bad timing. No one can connect to the matchmaking servers right now (assuming that's what RTM servers are)
Also, be careful trying to bypass the swear filter
-
I checked DbD on Twitch, and I see no streamers actually playing. A lot of them have Connection Error screens.
-
Gen-kick perks are doing most of the... leg work π
Remove her ability to use both drones and gen-kick perks to defend gens and she'll be more manageable (for SWF at least)
-
Wait.
How can you tell which killer you're going to face before the match even starts?? π
If very few are playing her (they find her weak, boring, or both), then odds are you're just using BNP's against other killers.
But I feel ya. I wish I had enough flashlights to bring one into every match in case it's Hag... Why does she get to trap the hooks, but not Skull Merchant, or Twins, or Executioner, or Trapper, or Demogorgon, or Dredge (to a degree)?
-
But in actual response to the topic, they could end up making gen kicks delete any nearby drones and drones cannot be setup near regressing gens. This would make the Skull Merchant have to choose between defending gens with gen-kick perks or her drones.
As far as buffs, her drones do nothing against injured survivors aside from killer instinct (wallhacks with a delay), so that part could be buffed.
-
They will probably nerf her iri addon, Prototype Rotor.
It now only works if the survivor who activates the drone has a Claw Trap and is one hook away from death; requires the Skull Merchant to be in the field for at least 5 seconds; only gives a 3% haste effect; and leaving the zone removes the effect and incurs a 5% movespeed penalty for 15 seconds after.
Meanwhile, Huntress and Clown can 1-shot, and Shape can delete a survivor from the game with their iri's.
-
Imagine survivors can follow behind her and step on her hair, slowing her down, to keep her off the death-hook survivor
-
@Emeal said:
All of this would be resolved by the Mori Update.
Would have been resolved for the survivor, sure.
Killer can still have the game taken hostage if the survivors don't repair the last gen. At least it can only last an hour π΄

You changed my mind, THIS would be the weakest power BHVR could come up with.
For it to be a "zone denial" power, it needs to have strong consequences so you don't stay in that zone. If the effect is so minimal that you won't have the need to get out of the zone or counter it, it won't be a "zone denial", would be a "zone nuisance". And her power is designed so there is no way any survivor can't counter.
Again, what you people are asking for is for her power to be more useless and weak it is right now. The only good things she has is looping prevention and gen "watching", and you are basically asking for them to be removed or nerfed.
Funny. The idea was shot down by people saying it would be way too strong and no killer should ever know the survivors perk loadout.
-
Dying Night 1 in Town of Salem isn't fun either. This is how I've been coping with being tunneled, lately. I just think of it as Town of Salem.
It is what it is. It's been here since the start and it's not going anywhere.
Easier for me, as a solo, because I can quickly get into the next match and die all over again. (Unless the others decide to slug and grief me and take the game hostage)
-
I suggested that staying in the drone's area too long allowed the drone to discover that survivor's perks, 1 at a time.
The Skull Merchant can bring up the scanner to see the perk icons that have been discovered on her screen while in a chase with that survivor (if they're the closest survivor being chased).
(This means that even injured survivors will fear her drones, if they have perks like Unbreakable hidden up their sleeve that they want to keep secret, otherwise they would literally be exposed)
Failing the hack or trap removal makes the drone release a shock that exhausts the survivor and notifies the killer.

Being weak and unfun are not mutually exclusive. Her power isn't exactly avoidable on objectives either. The drones are something survivors have to interact with, which is a good thing because otherwise her drones would not serve much use. The problem lies in the exposed effect because it doesn't make sense with the power and promotes the worst gameplay one could think of: holding w and creating a bulwark defense around 3 generators. There are plenty of other areas she could be buffed in with exposed removed. I named the passive slowdown as one, but also extended stealth would help her greatly as a hunter and tracker.
If the survivors can't use gen rush and dead hard to t-bag in the exits... it's not fun
Ridiculous
-
Who's repairing gens inside active drone radii??
Most of the addons only apply to active drone zones, and most survivors aren't just sitting in these zones repairing unless you're chasing the death-hook survivor and they're baiting you away. They just disable the drone and take the claw trap...
-
New killer: The Entity
Start the match as a random killer. Hop into a locker to change which killer you're playing as, disarming any traps, portals, powers you had setup prior.

I think they scream, just killers dont hear the scream.
Yes.
For Make Your Choice to activate, you have to be further than 19m away from the hook, which is the range you no longer hear survivors scream. Therefore, it is now impossible to know who screamed and is exposed from Make Your Choice (unless they unhooked the Obsession and you have Furtive Chase equipped). If there are multiple survivors at the hook, good luck, because it's a gamble.
-
I tried Make Your Choice to see how bad it is.
I went back to the hook and found 2 healthy survivors there. I let the unhooked survior go and hit 1 of the healthy survivors, but it only injured them. I tracked down the other healthy survivor and hit them with moments to spare on the MYC timer, but it only injured them. I guess all 3 were at the hook and the exposed survivor got away.
This was the first hook and they weren't even aware of MYC beforehand, so imagine the coordination SWF can pull off when they know you have it...
Unequipped the perk and it's pretty much in the bin now.
-
If you need more than 2 health states you're bad and need to get better. If you have to group up with friends in a SWF from the start you are bad. If you gen rush and no one's been hooked yet ur bad.
-

Right? I'm a terrible killer, but even I know better than to keep chasing someone I can't catch. And if you can't catch all four survivors, then Grim Embrace is obviously not the perk for you.
And since you obviously don't care to improve, then why are you complaining about losing?
Because losing should drop my rating. I shouldn't be facing survivors with more skill. SKILL BASED matchmaking...
-
I need to hook every survivor anyway to activate Grim Embrace. Why drop chase with an injured survivor and start all over from scratch??
How about this. If I get run for 5-gens, give me 5 matches worth of losses so that my rating drops down into the bracket it should be in because I'm boosted if I'm facing this nonsense.

This level of entitlement shouldn't be possible. "Why can't I win by being bad?"
I should get 2 kills each match (more than that since the devs said they aim for 60% kill rate).
If not, then SBMM is outmatching me. It should be adjusting to my skill, hence "skill based."
-
@bunnyfengenthusiast said:
Or you could just get better and not get looped for 5 gens.
Survivors should NOT be able to 1v1 the killer for such lengths of time in a FOUR V ONE game!!
Period

Nope. I should not have to. Skill Based Matchmaking should not be pitting me against such survivors in the first place.

Hag is a 110 and doesn't expose you with her traps.
You think survivors are going to sit in Skull Merchant's drone zones for 10 seconds before unhooking..?? π
-
Place a drone. Wait for a survivor to hack the drone and get a claw trap. Setup another drone. Chase them into that drone so they activate it. Walk into the freshly activated field... to get a... 5% movespeed boost π
Sounds about right for an iridescent addon these days...
-
I figured they'd take shared perks like Streetwise, Vigil, Open Handed, Up the Ante, et cetra, and throw them all under this prefix. Makes them easier to find in the perk pool.
-
All the survivors are...
Laughing and T-bagging.... HER POWER IS SO INTIMIDATINNNNNNG!
-
Not being allowed to place drones near hooks makes sense... Until you think of Hag
Hag can trap the hook AND teleport to the hook when activated! Skull Merchant has to walk back to the hook.
I guess since survivors cannot instantly break drones with flashlights it was deemed unfair for Skull Merchant..??
-
*Aim-Dressing needs to go
-
SWF have all this info and more...
Thanks for confirming that SWF is indeed baby mode for survivors!
-
I don't enjoy being tunneled out of the match either, but it's the result of the game's core mechanics and the nature of assymetry.
As long as 3 survivors repair gens slower than 4 (incentivizing the killer to reduce the number quickly), and as long as 2 survivors are at the hook the moment of unhooking (strong reason to return to the hook), tunneling will be a part of the game.
If they somehow prevent killers from tunneling, they need to also prevent survivors from tunneling (gens). A mini basekit Deadlock effect, where gens are blocked at 50% completion for a brief duration. If the killer is forced to chase someone else, the survivors should be forced to go repair a different gen.
If gens could post here in the forums, there'd be tons of posts about survivors camping and tunneling them.

I'm sure it's because she is indeed fun and not because of her 10$ skin.
The only part of that outfit you see while playing her is her weapon. The survivors get more out of the skin than the killer.

Honestly as a whole the chapter is still just meh but merchant is pretty fun
Too bad her perks suck though
I'm using her new perk, Game Afoot, with Brutal Strength, Nemesis, and Hubris and having fun using their defenses against them.
I think it'd do better on Wesker (just like any build is better on Wesker). 5% haste from Game Afoot plus the surivor's slowdown from the virus. If he tunnels off the hook then they never have a chance to remove the slowdown.
-
Survivors just pre-drop once they know about Endfury. How do you get any value??
I barely manage 1 health state worth of damage with it and then never again the rest of the match, at the cost of TWO perk slots.
