Killer: Survivors
Survivor: Teammates
-
As a killer main. I find a lot of survivors who run it are at the top of the board. Hard to catch them on a gen. The great ones turn into ghost.
Not a loopers perk for sure.
-
Toxic for camping gens. I was suppose to chase him and let his friend do last gen. He was serious!
-
Nice name
-
Its some weird kinda bait bro?

I wish that were true, but it isn't.
Nobody is "forced" to get better, they just play something else. Which is why the wait for Survivors is getting unacceptably long. I want to hit goals in the Journals, but no way I'm waiting 10+ minutes per match each try.
Point duly noted, Let me rephrase.
You will get better or quit if your grinding killer right now.
-
The only up side to all the MM issues is a lot of killers have been forced to get better. I know I spent all of last season as a rank 12 killer facing sweaty red rank survivors. This season I'm a Rank 1 killer holding my own against them. Playing against better opponents will make you better. That's holds true for just about any game or sport you play.
That being said if something isn't done soon to address the problems killers face in the game. Survivor Q's will continue to get longer.
-
The real question is how long is to long to wait in survivors Q's? Would you rather wait 25 minutes for a killer within 6 ranks of you. Or wait 10 minutes and play what's available? The real issue is not enough killers are playing right now. MM won't solve that problem.
-
Flashlights are my favorite item to see survivors bring in. Flashlighters waste so much time following me around. Just pause over a down survivor like you are going to pick them up. They always come running in for the save. They just cant help themselves. 2 survivors for the price of one..EZ
Keys get the mori everytime.
-
Haddonfield.
-
Their referencing terrible players. There are no killer bots in the game....yet.
-
DC penalties are a must in the game. People need to be held accountable for their behavior or crappy internet. Both hurt the game for those of us out here just trying to play.
-
Going for the weakest is a great strategy. You ever seen a documentary and watch lions hunt their prey? It works in the jungle and it works in the fog.
-
How often does this really happen? As a killer main 90/10. I just dont run into this scenario that often.
I also have never heard of the 3 gen strat being reportable for holding the game hostage. Is that correct?
-
Optimistic. His resume speaks for itself.

I trust the dev's are smart enough at balancing to know not to touch Hillbilly.
Agreed! Other than a few add on's anything done to Billy would be the final straw for what's left of the killer mains. Survivor wait times could double.
-
I had this exact issue. It's your controller.
-
I'm a rank 2 killer on PS4. I don't face anything but red rank survivors. The games are all over the place. One game is a salty group of survivors who stomp me. The next game is a red rank group of potatoes who I stomp. The biggest issue I have is I rarely have really competitive matches. It's either one extreme or the other. I miss those games where 1 gen is left but the game is still up for grabs. I normally can tell you how the game is going to be after the first minute.
-
As a killer main all of this sucks for me.
If a survivor dies on 1st hook that really hurts my ability to pip.
Letting a survivor bleed out on the ground? That's just stupid. You get absolutely nothing for that.
Face camping is almost as dumb as letting a survivor bleed out. Imagine wasting 2 minutes for a one hook kill.
Won't a automatic struggle just screw over you teammates more? How will they know your suiciding on hook? Wont they leave their gens to come get you?
-
I agree that maps are the biggest issue with gen times. That an survivors who coordinate with comm's. The reworking of maps will take a long time however. Increasing gen times is dangerous. Making survivors hold a button longer isn't going to help their QOL at all. Not to mention as a Billy main. I dont need the time added to gens that low mobility killers do. Should certain killers get more gen time than other?
-
The question becomes. How long are survivors ok with sitting in Q's to get a similarly skilled killer to play against?
If you have been sitting there for 10 minutes. Do you want to wait another 10 minutes or play against a far better killer?
-
When you get down to only two survivors left. Sometimes survivors resent teammates who did nothing all game but hide and wait on the hatch. As a killer I resent someone trying to deny me my 4th stack of BBQ. If the do nothing survivors hiding spot is exposed. Let's say by a very agitated Nea who leads you to an area and starts pointing. When she hasn't during 2 chases previously. I have never felt unsportsmanlike about hooking that survivor and letting Nea get the hatch.

My Mother in law

I hate Spine Chill as a killer.
I love Spine Chill as a Survivor.
-
Power: The ability to destroy survivor items left on the ground.
Weakness: Kate. All Kate's get an automatic hatch if last player standing.

It's the little pr*cks with no manners that tilt me. I can except the key, I don't like it, but I can except it. Then to call some names after escaping, they need to grow up. What they really need is for their mommy to lite their rear ends up because they are probably 11 years old.
Unfortunately. their probably 30.

@Nickeleye PC lol
Sorry I'm on console so I cant help you. I had a red rank killer who was kind enough to spend time with me in KYF and it made a world of difference. Looping takes time to get good at. But it also helps to have someone to practice with that knows what their doing. For instance, he taught me when to loop clockwise or counterclockwise. Something that until that day had never occurred to me. I was amazed at the difference just going around a loop from a different direction could make.
-
Do you play console or pc?
-
Billy and Piggy are the two I play mostly.
Piggy when I want to relax and just have fun.
Billy when I want to go try hard.
-
I turn the brightness up on my TV for that map. The picture doesnt look great. But it's crazy how many people hiding in bushes are much easier to see. I went from averaging 1K to 3K on that map.
-
I love piggy! I stopped playing her because she struggles in red ranks. However, since this boop the snootp started I find her viable again. It's amazing the people that will go on a hook if I let them boop the snoot.
-
I have no idea why you are waiting to play killer. Killer games happen as fast as I can hit ready. Survivor wait times are always pretty bad.
-
Billy
-
I main killer and slugging has never paid off for me. I have never run knock out but I love killers that do.
The more survivors running unbreakable. Just means more are facing me with 3 perks.

Again... Read... I don't camp, tunnel, insta mori and I let 1 go most of the times... I just don't get your logic... You're using a psichological personality dissorder and using it as an insult? damn... Even if I actually had that it's quite harsh for someone to use the concept of a dissorder like that...
And you're telling me I'm antisocial cause I'm saying people can play as they want if that make's them happy even when, as a rank 1 survivor too, I like facing those kind of challenges cause DBD is way to easy as survivor nowdays? It's a game man, are you gonna call me a murderer for playing killer?
The minute you say it's okay to play the game in a way that's fun for YOU. Be prepared for the salt. Some people automatically reject any play style that is not centered around THEIR fun.
-
I'm not sure I follow you. The kill rate would naturally make up all different types of kills.
Why would we not just look at the average time it took survivors to get gens done 6 months ago versus now? How would 4k after gens even factor in the equation?
I'm sorry if I am misunderstanding what your trying to say.

What do you do when the devs say not to read too much into those numbers?
Nothing I can do. I would say that when you hear companies start to justify, rationalize, marginalize, or dismiss their numbers. It normally is followed by the selling of their stock. Or the quick exit of investors. However, we are taking about stats not P&L statements.
From what I can gather. Based on what is being said above. The team is for the releasing of numbers. The team doesn't release numbers often because others scrutinize their validity and it causes confusion because people draw conclusions based off averages. Which turns into a mess.
I haven't been a part of the community for near as long as many here on these forms. So I cant speak of the mess the releasing of stats caused.
I'm a firm believer in numbers dont lie. How can a valid number be scrutinized? Explaining how you arrive at x,y,z is normally a pretty easy process for a company. As far as drawing conclusions from averages. It's a pretty standard practice in a lot of different fields.
At the end of the day. I'm just a killer main who thinks the game still has a lot of potential. Based off of what I have observed. I think the first thing the game needs is better leadership at the very top. Someone who has a clear vision moving forward. A strong communicator who doesnt shy away from his numbers being scrutinized.
-
I'm always amazed by what people say in regards to the devs and game stats. Their flawed, dont read to much in to them, etc etc.
As a business owner for almost 20 years now. I have a saying that I teach to all my young managers....Numbers dont lie. You might not like what they say. But dismissing them or justifying them with excuses doesn't help.
-
When I got the survivors right where I want them. Then make a stupid play that causes the survivors to regain control. Typically a miss hit or I mind game myself.
-
I'm my game I always hit you before I hear the pallet drop. Could be a latency thing.
-
I'm not going to stop playing killer. I just cant play it for to long. I think the underlying issue for me is I fear SWF way more than they fear me. When survivors start crossing the map to find me. Because they want to play loop and clicky clicky it just seems wrong. I though this was a horror game. I'm okay with a 2K balance. But Killers should atleast be respected if not feared. Otherwise the game seems like a sad joke.
Blood points is not going to motivate me to play more. But kudos to the OP for atleast trying to address the issue. There is a killer shortage.
-
They hate when you ignore them. It's really the best strategy for dealing with these kind of people. When they dont get a reply confirming that got under your skin. They go full blown tilt!
-
I'm on ps4 R3 killer. I haven't seen anything but red ranked survivors. Some are potatoes but not as many as last season.

Yet I can get on rank 1 on killer and I don't run into toxic swfs. I rarely run into the "toxic" swf groups your talking about. The only swf groups I run into is the people who just wanna play the game with their friends.
Do you play pc or console?
-
You cant be successful in today's market if your game doesn't allow friends to play together. The SWF door can never be closed.
I'm a killer main R3 ps4. I hate playing against SWF. The good teams you just cant stop very often. They know everything their teammates know. Some maps you know it's over when you load in. I just try my best and take my entity displeased.
The only way this issue can be resolved is to give all survivors game chat. How can you balance the game if even the survivor pool isn't balanced. Their is such a huge gap between solo's and SWF.
If your a survivor main who doesnt like to hear chat. Just mute it. Dont like a particular player or his music? Mute him. Dont want to talk but listen. Mute yourself.
Once we get survivors on the same level. Give us killers a buff to match the strength of SWF. I really think the game would be more fun for everyone this way.

I would go with douche bag, he was running an endgame build (noed, blood warden, franklin's, and some other perk that was good for endgame, forgot) and just decided to waste the entire match camping me
Douche bag it is then.
-
As a killer main. I'm going to guess he is just a douche bag. Or he just got his teeth kicked in 3 matches in a row.
Regardless, some of the toxicity we endure playing this game is ridiculous.
@xFAKExAxoN said:
I mean how is anyone supposed to do anything against this? If anyone tried to unhook me, we would be downed instantly. I know that what the others did was the right thing to deal with this but I kinda wish that wasnt the only solution.
I know that camping can be necesary if the survivors are about to escape and you still haven't killed anyone, but this is just ridiculous. I also know that the devs don't really approve of facecamping but they don't do anything about it either. I mean how is this supposed to be fun for either side? The killer preetty much wasted his time and I was supposed to just sit there and watch as this guy just did the most scummy thing I have ever seen in any game. At least with the other killers someone can rescue even if the person is being facecamped but against leatherface there just isn't a way to save either person in the interaction
-
I could live with the traps if we could get rid of that roar. Ambush?
-
I can always tell after chasing them for 30 seconds. If I chase another and their potato to. I know it's a MM issue.
Unfortunately, all I have been seeing lately is red with a few purple sprinkled in.
Mr K is right though. It's not going to matter soon.
-
The only example I see here is Otz is OP. Unbreakable is fine. Dont slug them to long. If you want to talk about a survivor perk that actually does need a re work. DS!
