  • He says that after 4 outing a bad skullmerchant though. She's just very uninteresting to play against.

    1. A drone gives: Injure + Hindered + Broken + Deep wound (????) On top of that she can add: Mangled + Haemorrhage + Exhaustion + Blindness with add-ons. She can also increase the Hindered even more with add-ons. On top of all of this she is Undetectable after placing a drone and she gets Haste (with no tell to the survivor in chase how fast she's actually going) because you don't know what your team is doing. AND THIS HASTE CAN ALSO BE INCREASED WITH ADD-ONS. ######### she literally has every single status effect in the f-ing game.
    2. Her chase: Walk to loop, place a drone, walk to loop, place a drone, walk to loop, place a drone. There's no interaction, you don't have to think.
    3. Survivors can't get rid of stacks, once you have 2 stacks you will just get injured+hindered+broken+deepwounded (and maybe Mangled + Haemorrhaged + Exhausted + Blinded if she has add-ons).
    4. She's able to stack multiple drones in the same area, in indoor maps this is just GG. You don't have time to crouch all the way through the entire hallway to disable multiple drones.
    5. Elevation messes with the drones and gives random scans. Putting drones on staircases will still scan people on the ground.

Remember how people complained about Lights Out being to difficult for survivors? Because you're sitting ducks on a generator being injured all the time. Well she's the same, but on the live game!

  • 3 other survivors going down after the first guy gets hit with NOED sounds like a crazy misplay from survivors. Noed should be 3 stages max (1 fresh hook)

If they create a point system your matches will only skyrocket in camping, tunneling and slugging. We need to address why they feel the need to run 4 slowdowns. I use zero slowdowns myself and I win very often until I reach red rank 1. Then I start losing far more often. Survivors need other objectives on top of gens so we don’t have to keep increasing gen times. That’s why I liked Ruin Undying because the killer would really run any other slowdowns mainly info. But now that that meta has been gutted it’s been a 4 slowdown meta instead of 2.

Keep in mind though this game has no ranking system. Only a monthly bloodpoint reward system called 'Grades'. You being at iridescent Grades won't make matchmaking harder, as it has no link to matchmaking. That's what Machmaking Rating (MMR) is for. You can be Ash Grade and play with 3 other Iridescent Grade people, there's no link in MMR.

I see a lot of survivors complaining about tunneling at 4 gens not understanding that the number in the corner is deceiving, if there are 4 gens left but 2 are at 80% you're not really at 4 gens in a split second if you let up you can be at 2 gens which is dangerous territory for the killer.

A lot of killers aren't tunneling then to "be mean" it's because they have the macro sense to know the game is a lot closer than it appears.

I also dont get that "no tunneling at 5 gens". If 3 survivors are splitting on 3 gens the number will say 5 but in a few seconds you might be on 2.

  • @CrypticGirl said:

I don't understand why so many Killers think that when the first two or three gens pop, the world is over. They have so much comeback and snowball potential as the game continues, it's insane. On the other hand, if Survivors lollygag or aren't efficient on the gens from the start, they lose. There is very little room for mistakes, and zero comeback potential for them after a bad start. That's why tunneling is so effective, and that's why Survivors give up on hook. I would say it's "unfair," but the Killer is supposed to be the power role, so maybe it is fair, idk...

I dont agree with you saying survivors have no comeback potential. A killer can have 1 bad chase and lose the whole game, this can happen at any point during the game

Playing survivor is terrible but when I play killer it's not fun getting 4k after 4k because there's no challenge. Why do the devs want this?

Killers are stronger at low level. Ofcourse at the start you will 4k often and get killed often when you play survivor. But you have to learn and get better, only when you start vsing survivors of high caliber you will start to notice how fast survivors can do their objective

I mean no perk is saving anyone from being tunneled, they all just delay the inevitable.

Well imagine if there were games where you could 1v1 a killer all game in a 4v1 game, when both roles are playing well

  • Hold shift when they come, it will stop them from being able to heal you

  • @Starrseed said:

maybe its time to give perks something like a point system. every perk has points asigned and now you cant make to strong combos cause your points are not enough.

that could also be used as a means of balance since the point distribution could be changed rather then the perks.

as an exampel you have four categories 1point to 4 point. you can use one perk of every category to get to ten points or you can use two 4 point perks and one 2 point or two 1 point perks.

I'd like a points system. As long as you could maybe have 5 perks (or 6) if you use really niche perks which are worth 1 or 2 points

  • Often has a jungle gym spawn right next to cow tree, often the window even facing the cow tree.

  • Houses should get nerfs, especially the ones with 2 windows on the same side.

Also the huge deadzone in the middle is very stale, maybe shrink the street and put lots of unsafe fillers connecting both sides of the street so you have something to play with instead of crossing streets from 1 strong building to the other

  • Hallway running simulator, pre-run shift W through hallways until your finger hurts

  • You have to walk into every building and kiss the generator to be able to see if it has progress or not. You can't rotate naturally you have to check each gen individually from 1 meter away because they're all in buildings and the sound gets clipped often

  • Used to be killer sided and they just sprinkled god pallets all over. It's just running to safe pallet simulator, no gameplay. Maybe give it a Hawkins treatment, more pallets but all unsafe. Having to string loops together

  • It's a balanced map but just very chaotic and the loops are confusing

I don't understand why BHVR announced the map was getting changes... and then did the bare minimum effort, to make as few changes as possible.

So as my title says, the killswitch does not actually disable anything until you log out of the game and log back in. Now, I am not telling you this so that you can abuse it, i am tell it to you as a warning as tonight, a full six hours after the Bloodshot Eye offerings were killswitched, my friends and I went up against a Doctor who brought a Bloodshot eye and therefore completely wasted our 4 Blood Party Streamers.

BHVR, please, if it is at all possible, figure out a way to fix this glaring issue with the Killswitch feature, as I have seen similar things happen in the past with Killswitched perks and even entire Killers.

I'd just let 1 person force close with task manager so only 1 offering goes to waste

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

Okay it is pretty funny ngl... how does this this even happen lol?

Meh whatever though, I am still mostly enjoying the event for what it is. Other than the usual very unfun sweaty tunnelling proxying at 5 gen killers but that is the same as any other day lately

They can literally rework a killer power and break the perk "Unbreakable". The code is so fragile when they release or fix 1 thing they break 3 others

  • Yeah this event flopped, especially because it was hyped up so much with "the biggest bp event ever" (200% bonus you have to work towards as a community, with anniversary giving 500% almost every match for 2 weeks and cakes you can use all year)

  • @_Onyx_ said:

Killers have access to more points that Survivor in the normal game anyway, events just amplify that. In a match it's typical for a Killer to end on about 30k and the best survivor gets about 22k. So give bonuses to that and of course Killer will get more than the Survivors. That's why the offerings exist, so a Survivor can get even more points out of it than usual. Albeit, I agree with you that this event seems pointless when the offerings are gone. But I doubt they will be Kill-switched for long.

I've not heard it called the biggest BP event of the year, but I'd also be confused if it was. As Killer I don't even bother putting the droplets in the basin, the prompt is so finicky to actually get it that you end up wasting so much time doing it.

They said so in their livestream. For it to become the best bp event it has to beat 535% extra bp (5x107% cakes) which is tough to beat, but we will see!

  • 200% is the max reward. Even though anniversary events gave 500% and you got cakes for the whole year

  • Bleh, just played for 2 hours. Quite disappointed and it's full of bugs

i love being slugged, bmed and camped on hooks every game while everyone is playing nurse, blight, wesker and huntress. way to go, buffing killers when they already strong enough. but god forbid when survivors had 3% speed boost from MFT since that 'broke the game' i hope the blood moon event will fix this toxic behaviour from killers since it's incrediblyfrustrating to deal with and we didn't provoke at all before someone is gonna say something about that.

Slugging and camping is not toxic in itself though. You take it as something toxic, maybe because it makes you annoyed and you try to project certain feelings onto them.

When a survivor is literally going down in front of you to finish a generator (rushing it) theyre probably also not angry or trying to be toxic.

  • @Xernoton said:

You'd be surprised how good Huntress Lullaby can be on Doctor but mostly it's a very mediocre perk.

It's one of the strongest (if not the strongest) things against less experienced survivors but it's a wasted perk against good players. The problem is that they can't really buff it because it's already quite powerful when it actually works. But at the same time it's useless when survivors can hit skill checks anyway. So they'd need to rework it and we all know how slow the devs are when it comes to these.

Why would you run a perk which is only good vs bad/new players. You can beat them with anything anyways. You want to run perks which help you compete vs people who are as good as you

  • Working with the killer is a reportable offence. Report them in the endgame screen

Wraiths are always tunneling and this killer makes this way too easy. They should bring back lightburn or nerf him.

How is tunneling easy on Wraith? Isn't it easier on Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Wesker anyways? What makes Wraith better at getting kills early, he's full m1

It seems like you expect nearly every game to be a 4k stomp fest for killers. Also there is no proof that this is how things play out. Killers can be winning a lot more than you give them credit for and they seem to be if they are killing at an above average rate. There has to be a way to survive the game otherwise it dies off from being too one sided. It's not as big of a problem as you are making it out to be. It's just a problem for you maybe.

I'm just trying to tell you that BHVR stats are misleading and obviously cherry picked. Aiming for 60% killrate at all MMR levels won't be balanced at all. New survivors get 4k'd all the time, because they don't use any resources they just run in a straight line. Killers at low level are very strong. But for every 4k someone else has to get a 1k to get a 62,5% killrate. (100+25= 125:2= 62,5% killrate)

So if every new player 4k's, a high mmr player can 1k every match, stats will still show a 62,5% killrate. Which means the game is balanced right?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/408226/i-think-wraith-is-the-most-insufferable-killer

What you're describing isn't Wraith, more the people that play him. Which is fair, he does seem to attract a lot of low skilled players with terrible attitudes.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3677812#Comment_3677812

Some people just don't like playing against people that exude toxicity from every pore on their body. I have more fun in a match where I lose against someone with a good attitude, than when I beat someone who's throwing a tantrum.

That sounds like projection though. Fun is subjective and who says theyre throwing a tantrum? You might be because you view a killer going for someone multiple times in a row as toxic. Which is fair enough, thats up to you, but you can't force them to play how you want. That would get very confusing because everyone likes something else

Killers stomp good survivors all the time. Apparently the game is sitting at a 60/40 win rate in the killers favor. What you are trying to throw out as average is facing a 4 man swf with 1000000 collective hours in the game that are not in every match you play. There is also the rng factor to put in which sets the game up heavily before it even starts.

You seem to confuse killrate with winrate. Game has a 60% KILL RATE

    60% killrate can be two 4k's + EIGHT 2k's. Thats exactly a 60% killrate and a 20% winrate.

Don't know why you see that as a problem, 2 outing 8 games in a row with a killer drawing 8 times in a row

  • Rotten Fields also has this, no?

Freddy should have both pallets and snares at the same time without wasting an add-on to make him weaker and Z-block should be basekit honestly

  • Hard nerfing all regression perks and giving big regression basekit would be nice. You'd get to play against more than just Corrupt, Pain Res, Pop, Noed

  • @TheSaltySaloon said:

And that’s saying something considering he’s not as overpowered as Nurse, Skull Merchant etc and there are other arguably more obnoxious killers like Wesker, but it’s something about wraith players that take him to a whole new level of insufferableness that’s amazing.

Wraiths know only a few things…

find one player and tunnel him off hook immediately then go on and do the same to the next survivor. BM you on hook as if they did anything clever. Or in the few instances where you literally just give up and let them down you, they’ll stare at you on the ground with the audacity in their eyes as if saying “why aren’t you playing the game?” Then leave you there as they continue for their 4K.

I have no shame in saying that unless I’m in a SWF I immediately just give up when I realize it’s a wraith.

If you struggle looping a basic m1 I don't really understand why you dont hate pretty much all the killers? Its so easy to make a wraith lose if he's trying to tunnel 1 person.

Hit and run Wraiths on the other hand can be a real threat

  • He's a 110% Wesker without infection. If you want to play Chucky you mighy as well play Wesker

  • We always stack reassurances in our team and that makes the anti-camp proc pretty often. Then we wait last second and jump for max damage. Also broke Hens' all perk streak doing that

If you are taking one minute in a chase for every chase it means bhvr has held your hand so long you are in the wrong MMR!

Are you talking about survivor or killer PoV?

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3674564#Comment_3674564

Um, yes? If you play bad, especially as Killer, there are consequences.

    Those perks remove the consequences.

So if you run 0 gen defence perks, and generators get repaired in 3-4 minutes, you played bad?

  • Yes, because if you play against 4 of yourself you will lose. That says something about the balance don't you think?

  • That's the problem this game has, and which will get even worse. 35 killers and every killer can use every perk. You will get perks which are fine on 34 killers, but way too strong on the other 1. On top of the very big casual majority who have difficulties in chase or being efficient on gens

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3674396#Comment_3674396

Not if you have the aforementioned perks. PR will stop one, you'll stop and kick another with Pop and Deadlock will further block more.

    Also, Grim exists.

Like I said, even id you're chase is terrible it doesn't matter if you run gen slowdown.

But should a terrible chase get gens done in the first place? Or only not if a killer brings the top 5 forced meta perks, when there are 200+ other perks

  • Turn on anon mode, close endgame chat (button right next to chat bar) and just pretend like youre playing against 4 of your friends. Always makes it much more chill, even when getting clicked and tbagged to sh-t

  • @Pulsar said:

Consider this, it doesn't matter if you take the Killer on a minute long chase. With the amount of anti-loop powers and the average map being filled with deadzones, I'd say a minute is a long chase.

When they have perks like Deadlock or PR or Grim stacked on top of natural slowdown (healing, unhooking, chases etc etc) they can afford to get destroyed in chases and still win handedly.

A 1-minute chase can already lose you the game though. You have to pick up, walk to hook, look for gens with progress. By that time a minimum of 2 should pop, third gen with progress you just interrupted.

  • They can simple refute your emotions by saying "I'm a killer not a hooker" though. That's the hard counter argument to that. Rushing gens to do your objective is the same as killer kills to do their objective. You can't blame the player for playing that way, they're just doing their objective. The classic "you want me to stand still or something" (when someone says gen rush) can also be said the other way around. Objective is kills, the killer kills, kills kills kills.

  • Never thought about this, actually sounds alright

  • @LeGranEmi said:

explanation of a mei trickster with 3000 hours only with this killer

The problem is that when you reach high ranks with e they will genrush you and if you don't know how to use the knives, when to save them, the tricks on the maps or how to use the main event, your power will be useless because you will lose the laceration also that for the killer to be viable you are forced to use memento blades and even though for me it is not a problem because I have 5400 memento addons for other players yes besides BHVR took away the best addons of him making them literally garbage

3000 hours but you mention "high ranks" in your first sentence. Didn't mmr get introduced together with Grades like 2 years ago or whatever?

How does one tunnel a generator?

Are there other objectives survivors can and should always be doing?

With killer, I can pick one out of four survivors to chase, as a survivor all I can do is a generator if folks are healed up, etc.

Stop repairing a generator when its 50%, go start another one

  • I've had a quite obvious speedhacker two days ago. Reported the person in-game, clipped the game, added an ingame screenshot, filed a report at the dbd customer service including clip+screenshot. Received an email back + report feedback that action has been undertaken.

The thing is, this player was extremely bad and the cheating was quite obvious. I've spectated a game once playing survivor after I had died and saw a fellow survivor fly towards generators when far away from the killer. Now how would you prove that as killer player? Only reason I could see that is because I was spectating and the cheater either forgot or simply didnt care.

A very obvious helping tool would be a replay function where you can rewind the whole match and view the game from all perspectives, maybe even a freecam function. But this is probably not possible with this engine/code they have. Would elevate the game an insane amount though

  • I don't think many survivors have the mechanical skill or dbd experience to be able to play well. The majority is just very average and are not playing to their max potential

  • 1. Basekit BT (metaperk at base) + 10s 10% Haste

    2. Anti 3-gen mechanic

    3. Off the Record meta perk

    4. Hook grabs removed

    5. Anti facecamp system

6.HUD which shows you lots of stuff

    7. Buckle Up + For the People

    8. Deja Vu, Reassurance, enjoyed a nice self heal Boon for a while

    9. SWF still untouched

    10. DS buff coming next mid chapter

Few examples. It's not the big bad OP killer getting candy, you also got some candy. Enjoy the game getting healthier instead of whining

  • It's a 1v4, its done on purpose. Also like others mentioned, just switch loadout or character at 6 seconds left. Solves your whole problem

Knighlight has a 500+ no addon no perk streak on Nurse... However I would say it is not so much an issue with Nurse as it is an issue with matchmaking not working properly, as I explained earlier.

Picking comp players beating up solo queue with the 2 killers (Blight/Nurse) out of a 34 Killer roster who can consistently do this is not the best take

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 23
