they are all on their official twitter page. idk any other means to get news if you don't use twitter.

one single generator will get done faster if you do it with other survivors, but the total generator progress across the board will slow down yes so you are always better off doing gens seperately. 2 people is fine and enough for coop points but 3 and 4 is a huge waste of time even with prove i'd say.

It seems like it's going onto the scrap heap along with perks like Ruin (almost never seen either as it being a hex with only 100% regression and deactivation as well), CoB, etc
I much prefer it when I have a buffet of good options to pick from and now it's really back to SB, Lithe or BL for exhaustion options. To be honest, I was expecting a nerf to the speed boost as current MFT way outperforms Dark Theory. However, with the proposed change, I don't really see any reason to equip it other than if I know I'll see a Legion or Deathslinger.
I'm all for the necessity of making balance changes but can we not make things almost useless when they happen, please?
it's really back to SB, Lithe or BL for exhaustion options.
mft won't deactivate while exhausted anymore. you'll be able to use it with those perks.
as current MFT way outperforms Dark Theory.
even if it was 2% it still would outperform dark theory since you get mft value for absolutely free. should it have been 1%?
i'd go for adding a duration to the perk but whatever, good riddance. low-key i still don't think it will die, people will combo it with otr and ds and make it an anti tunnel perk. just like dh, people will switch to other perks for some time but they will go back to using it eventually. movement speed is just too valuable, hope is 7% which is an insane increase and it's only active in 10% of the match assuming you reach that stage of the game.

I agree with the first part.
But basement is here to stay and that's good. If survivors go down around certain areas, then it should be more risky. It's the one redeeming quality of shack and one of the few effective tools against bully squads.
the discussion evolved into something very different but here we are still on topic lol
i don't completely disagree that some places should be dangerous and can mean death, this is assuming basement means death and it actually does if the killer wants most of the time; but i personally think it's cheap and horrible balance-wise.
basement and hills should have two entrances in my personal opinion. there still are places you don't want to get hooked, like areas with a choke point on some maps, but basement and hills are just too much. they practically allow killers to facecamp without the consequences while giving survivors almost no chance for a save without trading.

Stealing other peoples' idea I've seen and making DS stun 4 seconds and making it disable the killer's power for ~10 seconds. Also skill check either removed or made bigger. I wouldn't mind seeing a range increase to Reassurance as well.
oh reassurance range buff would be so nice. preferably enough range to use it from above basement.
****basement should be removed****

Revert the stun duration nerf of DS. Also remove the skill check, it serves absolutely zero purpose.
i think it needs to stay to give a choice to use it or not. but i'm bad enough to miss oc and ds skill checks so i also would love the ds skill check gets bigger.

idk i can't really compare. even though i thought 6.1.0 dh was not broken broken, not having to do the "bait dance" for 5 seconds before every down anymore was such a relief.
edit: oh og dead hard. honestly i can't remember how i felt, been a bit.

But why does the game give the killer the offering to start all Survivors separately and give Survivors the offering to start together?
who knows :') they should be other way around, i would actually use shrouds if that was the case.

All Survivors split up is too strong? I'm lost. Please clarify.
early game is when the killer is at their weakest. everyone spawning split up means everyone is on different gens, so if survivors aren't a bunch of degens and sit on gens; 3 gens get done by the time the killer gets their first down. meanwhile when all survivors spawn together, if the killer comes in there won't be any gen progress getting done + the speed penalty for doing gens together. it's a massive difference and can easily dictate the outcome of the match depending on the killer and their tempo.
-
omg finally someone else. i was about to make a post but felt like all survivors spawning split up is a bit too strong anyway so i didn't want to sound like i was complaining.
i'm also spawning with all my teammates in a literal corner of the map in majority of my matches lately. if 3 of us spawn together i'm lucky, there's still one person somewhere else.
-
not screams but yoichi and yun-jin's struggle sounds.
-
just here to echo what everyone else said: 10 to 15 minutes. longer most of the time means you either have a hit&run/3 gen killer or hiding survivors which are all boring playstyles to play against.
-
that might be against twitch's tos (or whatever platform they are streaming on) even if bhvr can't/won't do anything about it. i'd chase that.

They don't allow you to block playing with someone because there would be people blocking others just because they lost
oh you have no idea about the amount of dull totem cleansers i would block.
to op: there is *i think* no reason for people to go anon; they can just derank with anon mode off and won't have any issues.

There is sooooo much intelligence to gather though! Being on 1st hook is my favorite because ofvthat.
no offense but that takes like 5 seconds then i go back to flapping. where the killer goes, give info to duo if i'm playing with him, see everyone else on which gen etc.
-
what does that mean? you can just go vial/crow, so you think vial is weaker than rat? yes speed add ons have insane numbers, but vial is also broken if you get the hang of it.
-
wiggling arms is supposed to mean stuff but i just do it because i need to do something in the meantime, just hanging there is boring, sorry. the killer might not be nearby or someone might already be on their way to save me, but i just do it to do it.

Maybe for a custom game mode, but I think they should keep things special for events.
The killers complaining are funny. I'm sorry you guys weren't having fun with the void. I personally enjoyed hitting someone and then using the speed boost to get into the void, just for me to enter via a different portal and surprise them because they expected me to come through the same one. Also got plenty of downs from survs trying to enter and exit void. Yes there are some survs that fake the void to throw you off, that's the fun of it. I swear some of y'all want your matches to last 2 mins with 0 resistance 😂
the event is survivor sided. period. you can't really blame people for not liking it to a degree they have to wait until it's over to play the game. personally i don't mind it that much, i just enjoy extra bloodpoints.

It is really discouraging to see someone able to type, but unable to read.
saw a bunch of your other comments on other threads, and i think you are either trolling or just a "hardcore" survivor main so i regretted i took the bait and got in a conversation with you. have a good day

Event is so irritating as killer tho, they all run to void when injured, you constantly hit endurance without knowing why, you lose your chases for nothing, picking ghosts give them haste but you can't see it, after 2-3 games I start to play ruthless too it's annoying as hell, it's awful and it lasts forever i wish it ended today
i like bps but damn it's so unfun for the killer. i legit can't use my power as oni if portals are open; i need to go in, feed ghosts and close the void which costs me 1 or 2 gens.

Killers today so far: Tunnel, tunnel, tunnel, slugging Nurse with anti-healing, slug build fun stuff. When I try to meme with Killer or do event interaction they just hit you anyway, etc. When you try to meme with them, they will just take advantage of it and hook you instantly. My gosh...
i'd rather not farm with survivors and ones try to farm upset me. i just don't know what to do, i just don't want to farm. please don't attempt it with a killer that doesn't give the vibe, thanks.

Here is the thing, this game sometimes tilts people, after a few bad matches if a few survivors feel like the killer only gives them the option to die if found and cannot do their objectives, and is relentless, then yeah, I can totally see people showing the proverbial middle finger and eff with the killer. I don't endorse it but I won't willfully turn a blind eye to the reality of the sentiments of this community.
And i honestly meant the leave game option. It might be hard to swallow (although why exactly?), but it is a practical solution. Much more time effective than spending 10-20-30 more minutes in a game.
SO if someone is unwilling to use it, and stays in the game and comes here to rant about being hostage, then what is really keeping him hostage in the game? The tilted survivors, or his own pride?
There are alot of a$$holes out there, you'll meet a lot of them in life, grow up and learn to deal with it the right way: ignore those who only seek your attention to drag you down. You prove nothing by engaging with them, you won't feel vindicated when the game finally ends one way or the other. You'll be just more upset and more emotional and not the right way.
wow you really said all these. fancy words but you deeming the killer responsible for such a situation tells more, sorry.

Why? Does the white ward not work if the killer runs FD?
you need to die with the item in your hand. it doesn't protect the add ons if you escape with the items either, as far as i know.
-
it might be, so? istg if any killer perk gets nerfed before mft...
-
definitely semi-shattered hope. a totem can't be blessed more than once, this could also open up room for boon perk buffs.
mini corrupt, a minute maybe?
a different version of blood warden. the survivors' auras in the gates are shown to survivors, and after they are all within the area for a set amount of time gates are blocked for 30 seconds.
idk maybe grim embrace maybe old bbq with bloodpoints but some incentive to spread hooks. massive bp bonus for 8 hook 0 kill games because the only thing you get for it currently is a loss, most of the time.
-
on survivor you don't even need to throw games to do event stuff. i full cleared the void twice but lovely dbd servers got shut down, next match i could do the challenge again.
-
imagine wesker and blight if such bumps didn't exist.
with experience, you'll be familiar with tiles and the "random junk" around them and bump into them less and less. as the CoMa said, you'll need to play around them at some point and not hug every single wall you see. noone wants to fall asleep while looping you know.
-
pre-game lobbies need to go as a whole, here's my opinion on the matter.

Nothing will ever rival survivors OG OP meta(with some CoH sprinkled in after that was added). Called them bots with perks and that was true.
not the old meta but og coh made me take a massive break as well. dark days of dbd

Locker saves aren't gone. You just have to spam getting in and out of the locker. Thanks to latency, you're pretty much guaranteed to force the killer to do a exit/enter grab which is still blindable. Only a full open the locker and grab the survivor is blind protected.
they can just lunge, this works only once per killer.

Oh, slow vaulting works only against deaf players and players new to Spirit, as vaulting makes some noise (not the vaulting itself, but the character does make some) and it's pretty loud, easy to track and therefore being a free hit unless you've managed to gain enough distance to pull it off.
In general, I wouldn't recommend it to any veteran player, unless they're playing in low-mid MMR.
hm, good to know thanks. i myself am not a very good survivor against spirit honestly so tried to not sound super sure.
-
slide vaults
-
just like nurse, it's up to her and how good she is. at least spirit's cooldowns are more punishing. crouching gives free iron will, doubling back might work especially around corners, like people said slow vaulting might work. god pallets obviously work.

Because without it, the last 2 survivors would do exactly what this topic is about, but it would last for the whole 60 minutes.
Its a bad mechanic that should be reworked (preferably in some way that rewards the player who doesn't give up) but its kinda necessary to prevent lengthy hostage taking.
hatch doesn't do anything against a 2 survivors taking hostage situation AND they are doing it to get hatch.

I'm meh on locker saves. They really didn't serve much of a purpose for progressing the game nor did they help stop tunneling. Also, this is classic whataboutism.
Uhhhh, there's plenty of agency??? You are, for all intents and purposes, chasing two people.
no, that's not whataboutism. they are very similar, and locker saves are gone now because there was nothing the killer could do about it and it taking multiple people off gens didn't justify its existence.
what agency does the killer have? let's talk about survivors that know what they are doing. again, are you chasing the ftp user when you spot them over your injured target? because in open areas you can't block their way either.
-
@CountOfTheFog said:
But if the Pentimento hex is cleansed first then the whole thing was for nothing?
you gotta relit them quickly and after all 5 non-pentimento totems are already broken. and you might need a mobile killer like blight or sadako to do it very quickly since they will go after them as soon as they see it's in play.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3570122#Comment_3570122
Which matters less because there's a maximum of two people on gens, which as anyone who has played Solo Q can tell you, is not a winning strategy unless the Killer is VASTLY worse.
you look like the type to defend locker saves. "hey, that needed 2 people not on gens. just pull them until their flashlights die. locker saves are hard to pull off anyway so they deserve the saves."
that's not the case. there is no chance of counterplay from killer's part and at that point the number of people not on gens doesn't matter, nor the difficulty to make the play. there is no counterplay, there is no player agency from killer side and that's not a good game design.
-
especially during the event, i don't let go too often but throw the match for event points instead.
but normally, i do it only if i get pissed, really pissed though. like when someone instantly starts camping pallets the moment they hear the terror radius, or better, they camp pallets while i'm being chased and blocking me. or when they hover a chase for 2 minutes to shine that flashlight at the back of the killer's head. or if they think they are too good to take my chase just to predrop every single pallet they see.
it's just a matter of mood i think.
-
i love how wasting time like this or hanging around the gate is okay for survivors but when the killer decides they want one more kill it instantly isn't okay.
it is taking the game hostage, and should be bannable but hey.
-
environmental chain breaks need some work and bhvr should make him stronger in that aspect, but other than that he is mostly fine. i don't think he is a weak killer.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3570106#Comment_3570106
The counterplay is to realize that gen progress is massively slowed and that you can pressure half the team with zero effort.
zero effort, except you lose a down and potentially your pop and/or pain res. against decent survivors this means the match is lost for weaker killers since they can't get their downs that easily.
