people are gonna be people. they can't appreciate even a nice killer let alone a not toxic one either because they are that clueless or just because they are scumbags.
-
i'm hoping it's not like last year. i always felt the need to deposit because i didn't want to worship pallets. same with anniversary event, felt like i was way weaker until i got an invitation.
-
i like the idea. he desperately needs an add on pass because he basically has 3 add ons right now.
-
i'm very glad any new boon perk isn't released because it will either be broken or useless. it is boons' nature, they are infinite. if the effect is so strong that you have to always snuff totems, it's just pure frustration and nothing else.

You should have read OPs response. They were not going for a slug to build pressure, they were slugging because they wanted a 4K. Assuming that they had 2 Survivors dead already before all Gens were done (No Way Out probably triggered with just two Survivors alive) and they could have gotten a 3K, it is their fault for messing up.
If someone cannot accept that they won with a 3K and want a 4K so desperate, they should not be mad if it ends up in a 2K because the Survivors played well.
(Same with Survivors who want 4 people out and throw themselves at the Killer and get at least another Survivor killed instead of just accepting that "only" 3 Survivors escaped...)
playing well =/= being able to round the entire map multiple times with the help of an unbalanced perk (perk combo in this instance)

Dead Hard was the way it was for years, now we have MFT which is not being touched despite wide spread Killer criticism.

Never said it was, that said they should compensate so she is viable. They remove the ability to conduct the strat without making their power strong in a new way.
you are complaining they do killer reworks based on survivors' frustrations and gave sm as an example, so i thought you implied she also shouldn't get her rework just because survivors complain.

While I do think that MFT and Hope shouldn't stack, you're not gonna get much sympathy in this thread when your point boils down to "MFT + Hope punished me for slugging for the 4k'.
i think it is justified if the 4th survivor is injured and in your sight, more so if it's end game. they aren't begging for sympathy either, just pointing out an unbalanced perk and they are right.
-
i'm really worried they'll just do some number tweaks or remove the endurance part and call it a day.

Just a question.
You had a survivor down, and chased the other one. Why not hook the downed survivor? Can't get endurance for healing if you don't leave them the option.
because they are going for a slug play for pressure since it's end game.

There is the HUD... And apart from this the AFC mechanic is coming as well as the anounced solution to 3gens.
Voice chat isn't the best idea. How many games have you played in which some douche felt the need to disconnect or kill themself on hook? Now imagine them screaming slurs into their vacuum cleaner and telling you things about your family that even you didn't know yet because it's obviously your fault, that they got mind gamed on one of The Game's god pallets. Thanks but I think I'll pass.
A chat wheel would be the better option. No language barrier, no need for a microphone and zero risk of having to listen to some 13 year olds five minutes of hate speech. But it would get the job done. Top it off with the ability to see your team mates perks in the lobby (maybe ingame as well) and solo queue should be mostly fine.
seeing perks just in game please, because i can't imagine the amount of lobby dodges if survivors' perks are seen to each other. i'd like the pre game lobby gone as a whole but that's a whole another topic.
-
pop is indeed strong, but it only fits "normal" killer gameplay. hook and patrol some gens and try to get another hook, which is nice.
-
yeah, another non-issue if mft never existed. what's next?
-
battle passes are practically free unlike any other game i know, and skins coming once every year aka you know they will eventually come is nice, idk maybe i'm just too much of a slave. have you heard of a cosmetic in league of legends called "black alistar"? i looked it up and that ######### costs 400 dollars probably just because it hasn't (and probably won't ever) come back since 2014. that is abusing fomo.
edit: annual skins should have shard prices for OG characters, i'd only argue that.

Anyone who genuinely uses IQ as an insult or a boast betrays quite a great deal about themselves.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3554101#Comment_3554101
Then that is, unfortunately, a skill issue. Is it their fault? Hard to say without seeing gameplay. It could be, it could also be the matchmaker being awful. Realistically though, not getting a down in 2023 DBD is usually on the Killer.
i mean yeah, but camping or tunnelling wouldn't be the best advice. idk the proper answer here either, play non-m1 killers i guess. with mft still in game m1s can't do much against good survivors especially on certain good maps.

Why are you being hostile? They gave an answer to your question and some advice. I'm sorry you had one bad match but maybe you need to get better instead of running to the forums to ragepost?
they said in the op they couldn't get a single down. you can't camp or tunnel from that point.
-
i think all dailies for newer killers are just "rite of the [killer name]"
cosmetic descriptions and killer/survivor descriptions where their perks are explained have also gotten simpler and simpler. kinda sad

So Bubba and Blight are insanely OP as well? Because I don't remember people calling them too strong because of their ability to get rid of pallets quickly. Buba doesn't even allow survivor to really gain distance after pallet break and has opportunity to oneshot survivor after, but somehow he is still not op.
i'm gonna respond to this instead, i instantly thought of scenarios where 1 or 2 gens left. imagine not having emps there. there would be no 3 gen for him anymore, any and every gen would be a 3 gen.
for looping, survivors don't really get much help from emps anymore, the slow while using it did its job really well so emps can't be used mid chase that easily anymore. making emps even more scarce (by nerfing the box interaction) so people can't dedicate their time only to screw over his chases and annoy him would be more meaningful to solve the issue, in my opinion.
-
i have to disagree. fingering the boxes might need to get some nerfs or a complete removal so with only naturally printed emps tagging people would be more meaningful, but without emps facing this killer would be hell.

try to down people on corridors and stuff and bodyblock the ftp user. that is all unless you somehow knew and brought stuff like forced hesitation and/or stbfl.
also, focus the ftp user down.
oh yeah for me they are the top priority for tunnelling. people abusing this combo > bt hit takers > good sabo players. but sabo players at least have my respect unlike these other bots.
seems like tunnelling might be a "counter" to this, but still good luck if multiple people have it.

What would you change about DDS?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3552607#Comment_3552607
I don't think the map favors killers but I would definitely say that most survivors are not good enough to use the map properly, it is one of the most balanced maps but it gets a bad rep because its way easier to use on killer than Survivor.
The static 3-gen being in a relatively unsafe area pallet-wise definitely contributes to this.
yeah. i'd say salloon is the perfect map maybe right next to coal tower. gen spawn fix is all it needs.
-
there is no point in kicking a gen mid chase even if you use game afoot for some reason.
-
it's the killer's core mechanic and an iri add on was needed to access and use it properly. it's sadako for you, she isn't just a trapless trapper with passive phasing anymore.
-
it just needs a shorter active window and a slightly longer cooldown. say active for 5-10 seconds and goes on cooldown for 40s. no info perk is that reliable and comfortable right now maybe except nowhere to hide, but that still needs a progressed gen that's not regressing, and it's dead in end game.
-
i'll add new alien map there, very weak map. but aside that, "killer sided" maps are only killer sided because of gen spawns, they should fix that and they are good, maybe except midwich but just compare how heavily certain maps favor survivors and midwich favors killers so it's not at the top of the priority list.
-
nothing would surprise me anymore after seeing that one window in mother's dwelling main kept after the long awaited rework.
-
assuming you don't hit any great skill checks, you'll need the gel dressings add on and any other charge add on, and you need to not run botany since it reduces item efficiency.
edit: sorry just read the replies. no idea then, i personally haven't come across such an issue.

@Rudjohns said:
That means 2 survivors are not on gens
If you are chasing one then the other one is trailing behind
Would you prefer a coordinated gen rush instead?
(not saying the perk combo is "fair" or "healthy", it's just an honest question)
do you want facecamping killers so it's easy gen rush and an easy 3 or even 4 people out, or do you want an update so facecamping is no longer possible? it was a losing situation for the camped survivor no matter if the team wins or not, so here we are face camping update is coming.
-
i also love flashlight "bully" squads that will run around for saves and even when they get some. but hiding survivors in general and especially the last 2 fighting over hatch... my god. that's why i run nowhere to hide on almost every killer, but there's still nothing i can do for the last 2 useless rats.
-
my characters have been female in every game i played because they always feel more agile to me, that's my reasoning at least. i'd like seeing david's shirtless back better so i don't think it has anything to do with attraction.
-
there are counters against different "bully squad" tactics, like lightborn if you don't want to deal with fl/bang savers, starstruck or mad grit if you don't want to deal with saboers and/or body blockers. but no currently there is no perk or playstyle to counter this combo, sorry you have to take it and pray you won't face people using the combo again.
-
you know what's stronger? pentimento by itself and randomly seeing the notification while doing a gen, and not having it cleansed for 2+ minutes. that'll hook sacrifice me instantly.
-
mft: yes please
hope: idk, w/o mft it never was an issue and it's just an end game perk. you might not even get to have any value from it.
coup: perk's fine but 2 stacks per gen is a bit much not gonna lie, maybe like 1 stack for first gen done, 2 stacks for 2nd 1 for 3rd and so on might be better. way too many stacks right now. or 1 stack per gen like pre buff but you only use one if you extend your normal lunge.
knight's guard facecamping is irrelevant so it's a non issue imo, especially after hook grabs gone. hook grabs were the only thing made this annoying: you commit and get rid of the guard but you might've gotten grabbed, or don't commit and get 2 tapped. (guards disappear if you go deep into unhooking animation, for anyone who doesn't know)
dull merchant is on ptb i think still. do you not like the changes she is about to get or are you not aware that she is just getting reworked?
things to add: map offerings. maps are objectively unbalanced, the least they could do is to remove map offerings so people can't abuse broken maps.

i like where the game balance is now except a few issues that buffing killers wouldn't solve, namely mft, ftp+buckle up combo and majority of maps. basekit shadowborn is coming soon too, better late than never.

Just because one side receives more changes than the other in a patch, doesn't mean they require an equal attention patch
Killers have also been eating good lately with several perks becoming viable in recent times, several buffs to specific killers, and nerfs to the Survivor meta (mainly DH and medkits)
"equal attention patch" lmao

I have never seen the endurance come into play, changing that would literally be like balancing blight with "making the fatige vfx after rushing obscure more FOV" it literally changes nothing that makes blight good, same with endurance for MfT.
i mean the endurance is stronger than you think it is, but yeah not even perk's core issue.

For the People has a cooldown. You get broken for 60 seconds after using it, so not like you can spam it. I do not want either perk nerfed, just need the synergy between them to be removed.
by cooldown i meant something like charge time, you have to heal for 2 seconds at least to activate it. but definitely yes, like i said noone wants two not so popular perks nerfed. only the combo needs to go.

@WilliamSN said:
Imo, bhvr needs to stop this design phase of slapping haste and endurance on every perk.
It's to a point where i don't even know why the survivor I've hit had endurance.
Was it styptic? DH? Basekit BT? extra BT? Soulguard? Buckle up? MFT? Somehow OTR? Something else?
Buckle ups effect was fine as is, if they wanted to buff buckleup they could have just increased the speedboost to something like 20% for 5 seconds, atleast you could still punish the missplay incase the survivor decided to attempt a pickup under your nose.
Right now it's either pickup the slug and get blinded/pallet stunned or chase the rescuer and then get hit with buckleup endurance, lose/lose scenarios are just not fun to play.
you don't even need to look around for potential rescuers, you down the person and within your attack cooldown they are already up and there is nothing you can do.

@sizzlingmario4 said:
I think there’s 2 ways they can fix this with minimal impact on using either of the perks by themselves:
1) FTP no longer counts as a healing action, which removes the synergy completely.
or
2) The idea in the OP that Buckle Up’s Endurance only triggers on the healer if they were injured. Since you have to be healthy to use FTP, this would partially prevent them from working together (the healed survivor would still get Endurance but the FTP user would be vulnerable). This would technically nerf Buckle Up standalone against instadown killers though, so I think I would prefer the first option.
i think there are no other instances where ftp not being a healing action anymore would affect so that would actually be better. there was another person suggesting it but idk i wouldn't support ftp getting any potential nerfs in case there will be healthier interactions with it.
there is no other endurance source that gives it when healthy other than otr i guess so buckle up is unique on that. you are right.
-
@BlueRose said:
Main thing I hate about the combo is how fast survivors can use the perks. They can use this combo as the killer is recovering from a successful hit cooldown meaning the killer can't do a damn thing to stop it. In some cases it can lead to a free escape. Just the other day I was chasing a injured Michaela and a healthy Kate as Xeno during end game. My plan was to down the Michaela and then chase the Kate out of the match so I could claim my only kill in the match. The second I down the Michaela I saw the Kate turn around and while I was recovering Kate ftp the Michaela. During those few seconds I knew there was nothing I could do now to prevent either of them from ecaping.
yea it's so dumb, adding some cooldown to ftp could also solve the issue but noone wants two not so popular perks nerfed because of some very very specific combo. buckle up should just work like mft's endurance.
-
your skill to memorize and identify maps and structures? depends on how you do without the perk. you still can be using woo to see what resources are left. your looping skills? if you go from pallet aura to pallet aura, drop them and hold w rinse and repeat, you are a bot. but if you can hold the killer for a bit on weaker maps, or at weaker tiles/loops you mostly chilling.
-
@Worgen said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/392388/so-when-is-buckle-up-getting-changed
They should nerf it, idk what they thought when they added endurance. The perk already did his job with haste.
idk buff feels fine to me, a perk punishing extended slugging is fine; however punishing downing a survivor isn't.
-
@GannTM said:
I really don’t think this combo is anything to complain about. It’s just like flashlights where you need to stay off gens to do it. They can make it to where the duration of buckle up is slightly shorter but please don’t remove the synergy all together. The perks are fine.
perks are fine, but by themselves and neither should get nerfed because of a dumb synergy they probably didn't even think about before buffing buckle up. unlike pain res dms, they don't even need to nerf neither of the perks when used alone.
-
@radiantHero23 said:
It's not a strong perk. Blindness is a weak status effect. Info is not strong as well. It's only really good on the very strong killers.
releasing perks only stronger killers really benefit, or perks that are only good against weaker killers can be the unhealthiest decision making "developing" this game. that's straight up downgrade.

i almost never autobuy after level 10. for survivors i get cakes/bps otherwise i go for full efficiency, but for killers i go for bps/puddings and good add ons, but situationally i might sacrifice good add ons if that would mean entity taking so many nodes at once.
