Wait until her, Blight, Hillbilly uses the new Grim Embrace perk too. Gens will never get done.
It's very bad when survivors do a gen but it's ok for killers to decimate just because they know the killer.
Yup. Lethal Pursuer + Grim Embrace + BBQ and Chilli on high traversal killers... ggs
-
They've gotten so bad lol I was watching a streamer play against a Xeno and a bot grabbed a turret and literally just walked in a loop. They didn't do anything with the turret, they just held it and walked a circular path over and over. They pretty much took a turret out of the game lol when the streamer got in their way and interrupted their pathing, they put the turret down - didn't set it up, just put it down 🤣

let's be realistic, old deja vu was already a decent information perk, it lasted 1 minute every time a generator was completed, no one uses this perk nowadays because of the information but because of the speed buff.
So if they reverted it back to 5% speed boost instead of 6%, you think people would stop using it?
-
It's good for finding gens, particularly on indoor maps, and helping with pinpointing which gen should be prioritised. Especially with some gens practically appearing right next to each other nowadays. That's the most useful thing about it. The 6% speed i could take or leave, I wouldn't care if they removed that.
-
Yeah, seems like. I was thinking about it the other day. Resilience will probably drop in popularity since being knocked off gens will give survivors time to heal each other. Also doing totems to kill time will probably see totem perks become more popular among survivors, I predict CoH will be alot more popular again.
-
I actually enjoy going against Nurse. Not because I win, I mostly lose. But because chase is so different to usual and I enjoy variety. I like trying to mindgame her. How you go against her can be dependent on maps though. I know alot of folk want less clutter but breaking line of sight is important against a Nurse and with so many dead zones or open areas, that can be hard.

Hatch screwed a lot of solos playing with a two or three man team. They would pop the hatch and throw the solo under the bus.
I've only ever played solo but I have fond memories of my team mates all coming to collect me to join them in a hatch escape. I mean, I get why hatch was reworked and I'm not saying it shouldn't have been. Just that I don't recall being left behind by swfs, which was nice.

Which is rather rich coming from the NFT-promoting, FOMO-exploiting company.
Yeah, I don't care either way what they choose to do. If enough people request a reward they might change their mind.

I don't think there should be a reward for P100, but I don't really understand this argument.
Some players never bothered to go all the way to P3 and that actually gave you a reward. I wonder why would they think P100 is any different.
I would imagine because if someone one day made the choice to go to P3 it wouldn't take much effort to achieve, hence the reward would be easily attainable. There's a far larger effort involved for P100 and some may see it as unattainable. That's obviously only my assumption anyway.

why some people play so competitively when all that awaits you in high MMR is misery.
To brag about it...
- Wait until you are high MMR
- Wait until you play against good players
- Looks like you never play at high MMR
The most funny part is all of them dont know where their MMR are.
Yup, very true. I'll humour anyone who believes they're in high MMR though. I'll agree to take their word for it. But they need to realize that the folks in high MMR are supposed to be a challenge. So if they believe they're in high MMR, then they need to believe they're getting the right opponents.
-
I think matchmaking in solo queue needs looking at, and my issue is mostly with the team mates i get matched with. In general I find if I don't play to win, I tend to get pretty chill games. I've said a number of times I don't see alot of slugging, tunnelling, or camping in my games. So I guess a similar situation to yourself.
I've also said a couple times that I don't understand why some people play so competitively when all that awaits you in high MMR is misery. Some people sweat so hard for these wins, then when they hit high MMR they're facing people with the same sweaty energy and they run here to complain that something needs to change. Who did they expect to find up there, newbies? The game doesn't go full circle and restart once you've hit the big leagues lol
-
I mostly see it on Onryo or Wraith, but not often.
-
They've said before that they intended P100 to just be a personal goal. IIRC they felt if they attached a reward to it then it gives the playerbase the idea that it's a required achievement.
-
I don't see alot of tunnelling in my games fortunately, and so when I do see it it doesn't usually bother me. I'm at the point where I feel there probably shouldn't be anymore drastic basekit changes, but I also see enough tunnelling complaints to know it's not good for the health and longevity of the game.
IMO they should firstly be looking at more decent anti-tunnelling perks. That way tunnelling still remains an option, but comes at a risk. I like the conspicuous action condition they've been applying, which ensures these perks are only useful in cases of tunnelling, and using outside of tunnelling comes at the cost of wasting valuable gen time (ie not worth it). I think that would be a good approach. Sorry your games haven't been going well

People would use that as just another, quicker way to DC in solo Q i fear.
I think they could possibly make it work under certain circumstances. Maybe like it doesn't kick in until all survivors are downed, and it could work like the anti-facecamp mechanic, in that it speeds up the closer you and the killer are to each other. As that way it's more clear that the killer has had ample time to pick you up but is choosing not to.
Ultimately though I doubt the devs would introduce a bleed out option. Probably not worth the money and resources to save players a couple minutes at most.
-
Not a fan. I'll play against her no worries, but I generally won't enjoy it and legitimately don't care if I die. It's kind of a win-win situation I guess, whether you win or lose lol either way you get out of the game

I either need an instant bleedout button or there needs to be a penalty for this. It's obsurd how often it happens.
A bleed-out option is definitely a pretty popular request. I think it'd be good.
-
I had hatch spawn in front of a locker once on RPD and I couldn't jump into it because I kept getting sucked into the locker. The killer must have thought I was taunting them with spam notifications but I was just trying to jump in hatch. It's so dumb lol
-
Give it a few days. Might just be cos it's reset week. I havent played since before reset but I know it's generally like that.
-
It's not bannable or reportable. They don't consider it hostage taking since you're actively bleeding out so the game will end in a few minutes. I just walk away from the game and find something else to do in that situation. Let them amuse themselves.
-
Yes please. Even just yellow. I remember when BPS were a novelty, and killers and survivors used to chill when one was in play. No one cares anymore.

I still stand by that troubleshooter is a decent perk it allows you to not accidentally run into a gen that’s almost about to be done
I tried it for about a week after someone on here recommended it (maybe it was you? Can't remember sorry) and while it was okay, there were just way more perks I felt gave me better value. Couldn't justify keeping it in my build
-
I actually agree. I don't mind their presence (as said above, they're good for Balanced Landing) but the fact that they're generally in a deadzone and offer nothing to everyone else anymore in terms of looping... I'd rather something else to work with.
-
There's a few rare spots that gens show up in. One can even appear in the storage room, which I've only ever seen once and it confused me so much.
-
It's not bannable at all. But the way SBMM is supposed to work is that the more you lose, the lower you stay in MMR. Likewise the more you win, the higher you go in MMR. Losing alot like that as survivor may, in time, net you even worse team mates whose inexperience will ruin your survivor experience even more. And playing like that as killer will likely net you more kills but bring you up to an MMR level where those tactics aren't as efficient against the better survivors you'll suddenly be facing. I think in the long run, you will ruin your gaming experience. Just my 2 cents though. Ultimately I'm in the play as you like, just don't cry about the consequences camp.
-
Zarina is my main. I can't really remember why I chose to main her tbh. I think back when I started playing I didn't really see her in my lobbies that often, so decided to just play her myself. Since the OTR buff I see her alot more frequently.

Meh. It has some usages for solo q.
Besides, people who complain about a stale gameplay run the ssame 4 perks over and over again. How about you spice it up and use different perks you normally wouldnt use. It'll change up your playstyle a bit.
I change my build every month or two, and I purposely try avoid meta perks unless I need them for a challenge. I still think this game is getting worse for solo players.

I've got over 2K hours in this game and fun fact is I've only encountered a P100 killer once. It was a Doctor. Guess it goes to show how I've never crawled out of low MMR.
That actually surprises me. I have about 1400 hours total, only 300 on my current platform though, and I've seen several. And I'm a very average player. A few were Blights but tbf I could have been encountering the same person, I don't really take notice of names. I've also faced a P100 Nurse, Huntress, Wraith, Wesker, and an Oni that played quite badly. I was shocked to see they were P100. I've also played against a P60-something Twins as well, which I feel is like the DBD equivalent of a unicorn.

Until Victor learns how to hook survivors, slugging as Twins is kinda required.
Yeah, I'm just saying why people probably opt out.
-
It's the usual. Alot of Twins slug so they've kind of got a reputation, alot of people just prejudge and opt out I think. I rarely see Twins so for the sake of variety I don't see the point in opting out but it is what it is.
-
Shopping for easier teams isn't fair on the less experienced survivors you're looking to challenge, nor is it fair on the less experienced killer who gets put in as backfill against the original P100s the game felt you should be going against. The SBMM system already leaves much to be desired, and if you feel killers should be free to bypass that system and shop their opponents then just make it a free for all and let survivors do the same.
-
I'm running Overzealous with boons

More like new players don't have many perks to choose from, so why not equip the only chase perk in the selection of general perks. New players aren't equipping this in preparation of endgame, lol.
That was for the not so good players
-
They increased the soft cap, which upset a lot of content creators. My games felt better for a time but lately games have been bad again, so imo they probably decreased it again. I'm inclined to think so because those same content creators haven't been complaining since. I've just accepted it. I've barely been playing lately as is so whatever.

They should allow Inner Healing to be activated by a boon like Overzealous does. Both perks should give you the bless or break option.
They really do need to update Inner Healing for blessing. I played for a few weeks with Inner Healing vs a few weeks with Circle of Healing and the attitude my teams had towards me during these times was like night and day. I got left on hook way more than usual when running Inner Healing, especially in endgame, and running CoH at the moment people actually treat me alot more like a team mate. They definitely think better of you when you're putting up boons vs spending time cleansing.
-
I'm not fussed by it, it's just a perk that's gotten a rep for being used by new or not so good players. I guess because the idea is theyre going in prepared for survivors to still be around in endgame. If you feel it helps you then use it, that's kind of what perks are there for. You just need to ignore other players.
-
Did the devs ever actually confirm you get rarer items at P100? I always thought that was just a rumour
-
If you want to win, then best advice is to get a swf. Solo queue isn't going to get any better, especially as a dev all but said in the recent AMA that they're not really sure what they can do for solo players anymore.
This is all a symptom of a larger problem with the game. Most people will say that removing the ability to 4% or harsher DC penalties might help, but honestly all that will do is drive people away from DBD. Forcing people to remain in game won't force them to participate. I think alot of solo players are feeling apathetic towards the game and simply don't care anymore. You know when the game is over pretty quickly. I find just playing for dailies or challenges or bp helps.
-
I don't see how this is an efficient use of their time. The longer a game is, the less chance a survivor has of escaping as their resources start to dwindle. Purposely extending the game makes no sense.
-
Yeah I've been looking too. Sucks if it's ended :(
-
Beautiful! They did a great job
-
I doubt casual mode would become that. If anything, competitive people would make their way back to casual mode pretty quick because if there's one thing competitive folk hate, it's going against people with the same energy. Competitive mode would probably become obsolete.

I'm confused why this is something that would need to be tested?
Ultimately, what is the point of showing prestige level in the lobby? Does BHVR really believe that lobby dodging is healthy for the game? Do they feel that killers need to be told who is the weak link before the game starts?
"Do they feel that killers need to be told who is the weak link before the game starts?"
I kind of feel like this play a role. Lots of solo queue players - such as myself - seem to notice that most solo teams seem to have a formula, with one or two survivors being less experienced than the others. Killers being able to weed them out probably helps keep the kill rates balanced. Just a theory though, I could be way off.
-
No. It's a symptom of a larger problem, and forcing people to remain in game is just going to wind up with people going to play other games.
-
I've been using CoH alot lately and actually think it's okay as it is now. I use a map and try and set it up near a gen, so injured survivors can still make themselves useful while they wait but my biggest frustration is how most just waste time standing in the aura until someone comes to heal them. So in that regard, I actually like the idea of Boon: Illuminate showing survivor auras. It would compliment CoH well in the sense that the survivor waiting will know if someone is coming to them, or if not then they can head to them instead.
-
The game rewards protection hits, so no. Alot of this player base sweats the small stuff, just ignore them.
-
I'm at the point in solo queue where I just don't care anymore. Just play for yourself and bring whatever perks you like. I was getting tunnelled earlier and still I got unhooked by a team mate right in front of the killer after getting second hooked. Then, despite my unhooker being healthy and not having been hooked once, they tried to ensure they stayed right in front of me so I'd take an endurance hit for them. Either that or they were sandbagging, because they wouldn't let me past them. I just stopped and let the killer down me because no way was I giving them the safe unhook after that. No one tries to take hits or aggro anymore, so I just say 'good luck in your 3v1 then!'
-
Yes! I'm loving these collabs they're doing.

I think the perk works best if you use it for anti tunneling for teammate. Its never good to flashlight for yourself mid chase.
Deadline may be good with Rebecca focus perk and Skate out. But does it worth to use full perk build for may be save 20sec of Gens?
I'm not good with flashlights/blinding but I mean for the 50% speed boost whenever you turn it on. In a chase it'll be handy for those moments you're not sure you'll reach a vault or pallet.
