I’m okay with that (yes, biased Claudette main here) but we know it’s probably going to be Sable, Sable and Sable.
If they offer up 3 Sable fits for voting then yeah, there's a good chance. I doubt they'll do that though.
-
So curious as to which killer legendaries they'll be
-
Jason, Pennywise, and Predator
-
Probably the survivor HUD update. It's been both a blessing and a curse though.
-
It seems like they're trying to get survivors off of gens and onto other stuff. Chests being the only real option they have since directing attention to totems would probably see a fall in Hex perk usage. I guess it's not working (not surprised since survivor chest perks aren't that great value for the time investment) since Dracula has a perk to try and force chest searching. I prefer the killer perks forcing chest searching tbh, since the survivor ones just come off like killer perks in disguise they're so bad. If they want us to search chests then improve items.
-
People are more likely to share their negative experiences than their positive ones, so it's good to see the positives highlighted once in awhile!
-
I went against a Huntress bot in 2v8 and it wasn't that great. I think just like survivor bots are all different, the killer bots probably are too.

I like how the OP and others can't just admit that they want a guaranteed 4k in a 2v1.
I just got downed and left so the bot wouldn't get hatch... 🙃

It's changed alot from a few years back. If you want a team game then you need to find a swf, because it feels like 8/10 solo q survivors just play for themselves. Once upon a time it was normal for team mates to take hits or take aggro or hook trade etc but I see less and less of that these days. Twice today i had team mates die on hook across the map from me while I have no idea what the other two were doing. Both times I was the only one on a gen but had to abandon to try and save, and once even ran past a team mate, who hadn't even been hooked yet, near the hooked survivor but walking in the opposite direction. Yesterday I was injured in chase and running right up to the exit gate where my three healthy team mates were, and as soon as they saw the killer behind me they turned tail and ran out the exit. What happened to taking hits so everyone gets out? I take risks for team mates all the time but when it comes time for them to help me out they're out of here.
I don't know if it's bad matchmaking, if it's just the attitude of the next generation of video game players or what.
-
That's strange, I don't have this issue at all. Maybe fiddle with your settings?
-
Page 3 of the Tome has a Escape 2 Trials challenge. I imagine this scenario isn't uncommon this week.
-
Maybe for the last two survivors. They could have something similar to what 2v8 had, whereby a survivor on death hook can pick themselves up. I wouldn't normally be for something like that but with the Finisher Mori on the horizon I'm anticipating the whole 'slug the second last for the 4k' will worsen. I get why basekit UB didn't work out when tested but a less impactful version might work.
-
If playing as The Lich, then yes. Also the perk Deception can make it seem like they are.
-
You've had a long break and then returned to the game on a platform you're unfamiliar with. Your opponents meanwhile have neither just come off a long break and are likely playing on platforms they're very familiar with. I'd have been surprised if you'd actually won.

Finding this to be true. Was quickly bored by the lack of depth in 2v8 and constant Huntress. Only played it to do tome challenges that were a lot easier to complete in it.
The last few days when I went on there, it was mostly terrible survivors that were allegic to generators and just crouched around the edge of the map hiding. Interacting with a blue glyph and escaping two trials challenge took about 12 games to do in 2v8 this week. Eventually got a couple of hatch escapes. Every game I would be the only person on gens, out of the 8 Survivors. They just wouldn't do anything useful!
Have had a lot of great matches on the normal 1v4 mode recently.
I found it amusing when there'd be like 4 Guides but none of them touching gens, or 4 Medics and people were going to second stage or being left to die on hook lol or the Escapists who would save their speed boost for when they'd need it instead of using it when it could help a team mate.
-
All this would ensure is they'll all bring gen perks and smash them out even faster to compensate. Then everyone will complain even moreso about gen progression perks until they're nerfed and solo q will suffer
-
I prefer Fast Track. Gains tokens that you can't lose simply by being hit and no need to slow gen progress down to get them, you're simply using the killer's inevitable game progress for the team's benefit. You're also more likely to have a nice hoard of them if you make it to late game (and if you don't, you can still use them up before you go).
-
I had this same error not long ago, maybe a month or so ago? It lasted a couple days for me then just went away and I havent had an issue since. I havent played for the last couple of days though so hopefully it's not back
-
A crawling killer would be freaky af but the pov would be weird, it would have to be third person i guess
-
They have limited bandwidth per update. Probably no point in getting peoples hopes up if they can't actually implement much when all is said and done
-
You don't. Tbh a few of your team mates had the right idea in that situation.
-
The report option is unlikely to work in that situation because it's not a reportable offence
-
I use Empathy so see it every now and then when I'm hitting a gen while the other is engaged with the killer. They'll try give an item in exchange for escape in a last ditch effort. Like, my guy, I'm still here 😑 try run him for a bit longer
-
I agree, and honestly, even after you do all that it feels like it's down to chance whether it even gets dealt with. I've done it a couple of times and I'm yet to get that ingame notification telling me that action was taken/it was looked at. I don't report willy-nilly either. It has to be a clear cut situation that leaves nothing up to interpretation as to whether a rule has been broken. So my only assumption is that my tickets were missed or dismissed. Either way, i wasted a decent chunk of time.

Except this fixes nothing. It is a bandaid on a broken arm. The flawed MMR that puts p100 sweat SWFs in with a 200 hour killer is still there but now there is no warning for the stomping about to happen. This is just bullies celebrating being able to more effectively bully less experienced player.
Hiding prestige is supposed to theoretically help with this. A dev has said before that a primary reason baby killers get put up against experienced survivors is often because the survivors were dodged by the experienced killer they were supposed to be facing. When dodging occurs, matchmaking prioritises queue times over accuracy so that players aren't waiting for too long. So, again theoretically, hiding prestige means that the experienced killer is now less likely to dodge, hence the survivors won't get handed down to some poor new killer. This gives matchmaking a chance to work as intended.
I'm sorry but too many killers want the privilege of being able to say they're in high MMR without any of the work that comes with it. They sweat but don't want to face sweaty opponents. They're the ones muddying the matchmaking pools and I'd wager they're the ones who are mostly upset they can't dodge to find easier opponents now. You say it's bullies wanting to bully the less experienced, and you'd be correct, but it's the killer bullies doing it because they're the only ones who get to see their opponents prestige. They're the ones who get to pick and choose and mess it up for everyone else.
Things will never be 100% perfect, especially during off peak times I imagine, but those are us who are willing to play the cards (opponents) we are dealt, shouldn't have to suffer because of those who want to pick and choose. Survivors can't see a killers prestige so we are at the mercy of a matchmaking system that is increasingly bypassed by killers.
-
Probably easier to just do away with map offerings
-
No, fortunately. I had a game today where I accidentally missed a skill check so my team might have thought I was. I did hit my next two though.
-
It's possible. I rarely see hackers personally, or if I do they're good at hiding it. I sometimes have strong suspicions but dont let it bother me because there's nothing i can do. They come with the territory sadly.

I was burned out a few days in. Played for the incentive until even that wasn't appealing anymore. On the plus side, it's made me enjoy 1v4 and many of the killers I usually dislike alot more.
-
Yeah the dailies need an overhaul. They should give 3 x killer dailies and 3 x survivor dailies imo.
-
It doesn't seem to function all that differently to Spirit. You'll be fine. Use a different form, you have two other options.
-
It was kind of the opposite for me lol like I can't stand Trickster but he was the first killer I got after going back to 1v4 and, amazingly, I was thrilled to face him lmao same with Pinhead, I actually enjoyed facing him for the first time in a long time. 2v8 broke the monotony up nicely for a time but I personally couldn't play it long term.
-
You don't. Sometimes RNG just screws you over. It's the same with tiles that join and help survivors drag out chases. It's just RNG and it sucks when it affects you but it is what it is.

There used to be "respect the 4%" but doubtful anyone does anymore
I remember this one. There was also the on-hook "camp dance" when the killer was camping, which is now just used when people are impatient or they're worried no one is coming to get them. Which, fair lol
-
Yes it's the same on my end. It's great they took on board the feedback, it really is much better this way
-
We apparently have an overhaul coming soon, I think they said approx 20 perks will be involved. Hopefully Dark Sense is one of them.
-
Seems a bit pointless. Aside from scratch marks you have blood pools and injury noises. Survivors are easiest to track when in chase and injured and you want it even easier?
-
I said pretty much the same. My 9 and 7 year olds have been massive FNAF fans for years. The toys and books and various merch are targeted towards kids (under 10/12) - i know first hand because my kids want it all. I understand why BHVR wanted to do this collab, but I just hope they understand that the playerbase's demographic may drastically change. Kids also don't have the income that adults have to buy cosmetics (arguably a big income source for the game) and they risk alienating older players who can afford them . And if they get as big an influx of new players as I suspect they will, specifically because of FNAF, I can guarantee most survivor games will be against Springtrap. The lack of variety may also drive players away.
To add, I'm not saying there aren't adult fans because of course there are. I'm saying though that FNAF has marketed itself to kids repeatedly over the years, so people cannot deny that this collab will attract the attention of kids too.
-
I'm not fussed that they're extending 2v8. I'm playing 1v4 and, as a survivor main, my wait times aren't affected. I sympathise with killer mains though. I also wanted an extension on Chaos Shuffle and we got one, so I can't complain.
-
It's always been insufferable. I'm always the one who hops on a gen while my team mate hides, but then the killer will just slug me half the time.
-
Honestly, I've had weeks where my escape rate is like 10% but then I'll have weeks where it hits like 60%. The game had a free weekend on Epic and Steam the weekend before last, plus 2v8 mode bringing a bunch of people back, plus the FNAF announcement undoubtedly made other people curious about DBD, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's alot more inexperienced players finding their way into teams.

I know I was only playing survivor in 2v8 for the bloodpoint bonus, with fast games it was a real easy way to get a ton of bloodpoints. Oh well, back to 1v4 it is for me!
Same 😭 you could play like two 2v8 games in the space of time it took to play one 1v4 game, so the bp added up so fast it was great. Given the choice though with the 150%, I opted to play a few 1v4 games today. I needed the pips too.
-
I've seen plenty of people say they do this in that situation too. A sort of 'you wanna waste my time, I'll waste yours.' Definitely petty but like, fair enough also, you know?
-
Oh bugger, was actually gonna hop on for a few hours of 400% goodness. Won't worry about it now 😅

This. They (BHVR) have a pinned message at this very moment from about almost 2 years ago that shares a unique experience and the level of impact that inclusivity has on some of us. This was right upon when they revealed David was a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Which I think many of us shared a similar experience, and celebrated this wholesome moment.
It would be rather absurd not to take notice of the baggage and controversy that comes with FNAF creator's questionable choices. It seems odd but not surprising (as a company) that BHVR would want to embrace this brand as future collaboration content. It is a shame because it sort of diminishes their efforts and backtracks on their message, even if that isn't what they mean to do.
My personal opinion is that I personally don't care about the brand itself or it's creator. Even with his apology, his reasoning sounds like a single issue voter problem without the understanding the full scope of what's at stake (I have some of those in my family). We can dissect his history and go down that rabbit hole all we want, at the end of the day we are all free to make choices, even if those choices are wrong.
That thread has now been closed :(

Do you realize the implications that are made when people criticize FNAF this way? Its like saying the entire FNAF fanbase are bigots or anti lgbt for playing a FNAF game or supporting it in any way. That is why this level of criticism is irrational.
I don't agree at all. My kids are massive FNAF fans and have asked (and received) plenty of merchandise and games over the years. I still think it is perfectly valid for people to be concerned about what financial influence this may have. There are people who refuse to buy any products from Nestlé, for example, because of unethical practices. People who refuse to buy products made in certain countries because of child labour laws. People can be concerned about human rights without me taking offence.
BHVR have always been supportive of and provided a safe space for people regardless of race, gender, and sexual orientation, and people feeling let down by the company with this collab are perfectly entitled to their feelings.
-
I doubt it. Two different killers means two different power sets, and that's a bit pointless. Not to mention buying the killer itself is cheaper than a Legendary skin, and I can't see BHVR doing that. Financially they're better off making Legendary skins for the killer than creating a separate killer.
