Well, killers can also do that now. Besides looking for the last survivor without any aura reading is painful
Yes, they do that now and I hate it. Hence I don't want to see an increase
-
Won't the Finisher Mori just encourage slugging for the 4k? It's going to make people not want to be part of the final 2 in a losing match. Slug survivor, find last one, hook them, then automatically mori the person you left slugged.
-
If no one plays, then we probably won't get it back again… you might be onto something here.
In all seriousness, I'm reserving judgement until I play it. Didn't enjoy the first iteration at all.

The buff didnt help the real problem which is the ridiculous amout of random stuff scattered around the map and the crazy amount of tiles you can't throw over. She definitely didn't need 7 hatches at vase but the faster wind up time is definitely welcome. The buffs really just made her stronger on the maps she's good at and get a few more hit that survivors would have made the corners on.
But when there isn't clutter then stealth killers complain because survivors see them coming a mile away. Not sure how they can please everyone.

Log into your BHVR account. Under Your Games, click Dead by Daylight. Select Twitch Drops, then Manage Drops. Scroll down and make sure everything is linked. Mine often unlinks, so I always have to do it over.
-
It's okay to be average at the game. Most players are.
-
I don't condone letting go on hook, but if I see a team mate doing it when there's multiple hook states and/or deaths and only one gen done then yeah, I won't unhook them and I get it. There's no comeback for survivors. They can't snowball like killers can. Once a killer starts snowballing it's over, you know when the game is lost. That's not to say some people don't let go for silly reasons, but that has always been the case in the 4 years I've been playing.
-
It's currently at 150% for me on survivor. I don't think I've seen it at that outside of events

i think it will show up in base game. BVHR is testing different type of methods of anti-tunneling and anti-camping to find out which method is best form of nerfing proxy camping and tunneling. the 2vs8 was more artificial type change. make cage more hidden, make it harder to tunnel, and so on. this one is bvhr using more brute force measures. Your going to be punished for proxy camping and tunneling people off the hook.
In my opinion, your likely just going to see a lot of slugging because the killer is like actively being punished hooking and is getting like 0 benefits from hooking. As a result, you might just killer bleed out slug people because…. well killer has to find a way to win right? The killer ain't dumb. I suppose we'll just have to see how it plays out.
There's no reason for them to make this stuff basekit. This is typical knee-jerk reacting. The devs spoke out about the last Lights Out event and said that the majority of players tried it and then quickly went back to regular mode. They didn't drop the game completely, just the mode. So as they said in the anniversary stream - they listened to the feedback and made some changes to this one to hopefully keep the players engaged. The vast vast majority of negative feedback came from those trying to play survivor, and I guarantee escape rates were incredibly low. If the situation were the reverse - that kill rates were low - the changes would be killer focused. Circumstances around these limited games modes are not reflective of the standard game mode. Not even close. They're a totally different balancing act.

still not working for me…dbd is for some reason not showing in behaviour that I own it
When you log into your BHVR account, scroll across under 'Your Games' and click on Link Gaming Accounts. Even if your platform is showing as connected, select the Refresh option. I've had to do that before and it worked to get my game to show.
-
They won't. I guarantee the escape rate on the last Lights Out was crazy bad, that's why survivors are getting so many buffs
-
People on social media have become addicted to outrage. They look for stuff to be mad about. I've seen a bit of what you mention and the hate really seemed to kick up when she got that bikini cosmetic option. People were big mad about it, it was weird. In my experience Alan Wakes are the worst team mates, not Sables. Sable is popular so it's easy to feel like she's played by the bad players - most players are average at this game, and when you see Sable alot of course you're gonna see a number of bad ones. I'll add that I rarely play Sable, just in case anyone thinks I have a horse in this race lol
-
3% isn't bad. There's 37 killers in the game. There will always be the favourites but if all killers were picked equally they'd each have an even lower pickrate than that. So 3% is fine imo. He also requires multitasking and strategic use of his powers, and not alot of people are willing to put in the work when there are easier killers to pick from.
-
Support is taking awhile to respond unfortunately, they must be overwhelmed with requests. I only just got a reply to a ticket I sent in a couple weeks ago, and there was an apology for how long it has taken for someone to get back to me. I sent in another ticket regarding not getting my CoFS deluxe rewards, same as you, last week so I don't anticipate hearing anything back for 2 or so weeks.
-
I've been bringing Exponential a fair bit lately
-
Because it's just an unnecessary prolonging of the game. In your situation yeah, it would come in handy. But in most games the killer has nothing else to do but wait for you to die. If you can unhook then they'll likely down you 10 seconds later. It's just not necessary.
-
Wouldn't recommend, personally
-
There's currently a Tome challenge where survivors have to open 2 exit gates, which is why you're probably getting alot of survivors doing this (I did it also to get the challenge done, Wake Up and Sole Survivor help). Just shut hatch and take your chances. With 2 exit gates and the survivor not knowing which is closest to hatch, you've got a good chance of finding them before they get the gate open. Blocking the gates is silly. Hatch, as the devs have said, exists solely as a means to end the game. If there's a stand off in this situation it's you refusing to shut hatch, and that's easily rectified. You've then shut down 1 out of 3 ways for the survivor to escape and you only have 2 now. And yet you want the devs to make it even easier for you lol
-
Fast Track is the superior option imo. You use the killer's inevitable progress (hooks) for the teams benefit instead of wasting your own gen time, you don't lose your tokens upon being hit and so can pick when to use them with alot more freedom. I'd wager in an average game I'd get more value from FT than others would PE thanks to time wastage and token loss/hits taken.

They're taking too long to answer the tickets submissions. I thought it was because The Casting of Frank Stone rewards, since a lot of players didn't get in game. But since you're waiting 10 days and TCoFS was released this week, I really don't know the reason
Also the Twitch reward issue. That's been solved now but at the time I imagine they got alot of Support requests so it could be backed up since then too.
-
I hope so, I love going against Nurse. A great Nurse is impossible to beat but she breaks up the monotony of the standard chase. Especially on certain maps.
-
Alot of us didn't get our rewards so I think Support is a bit overloaded at the moment
-
Hi Rizzo. I submitted my report under the Casting of Frank Stone. Will it still get addressed or do I need to submit it under Dead by Daylight? Not sure how specific I need to be lol thanks
-
I had 8 Dracula's in a row yesterday 😑
-
POSSIBLE SPOILER
I haven't finished the game yet so won't read ths bottom half of your text, but I'm assuming Andy Dean might be a future survivor? He's mentioned in a magazine you pick up. I put possible spoiler as I don't know if he's mentioned again in the game or is just a one off hint in the magazine
-
I haven't noticed a difference
-
Still too early to judge imo, I think it needs more time to settle, but my games havent felt quite so much like they're alternating between two extremes lately (ie getting steamrolled, or doing the steamrolling. Neither is fun). I've probably jinxed myself now and will have terrible games when I log in.

It only activates when nearby a chest, if it doesn't work despite being that then it's most likely a bug.
Thanks! It kept telling me in the bottom left corner there was a chest nearby and to press the button but nothing was happening. I tried a bunch of different button changes and eventually selected to refresh original controls and it started working. So seems it was a small glitch
-
My Plunderers Instinct doesn't work. I've tried changing to different buttons but nothing. It tells me to use it in game but it doesn't work. Anyone else?
-
I have it all set up ready to go once I get the kids off to school. Glad to hear you're enjoying it!
-
Nope. And my BHVR account says I do own it, it's in my Library. But I have no option to claim rewards.
-
I can't even claim my rewards, how did you do it? I have the game in my BHVR library but it just shows me the trailer when I click it...
And then this is all I get when I click it. When I press Buy It Now, it takes me to my PS account where it says it's purchased
-
They must be bored. Imagine actually wanting a game to last that long. I just can't imagine.
-
I think he's in a good spot. I've played against so many (even had a day where I didn't get a single other killer, it was just Dracula after Dracula). He won the vast majority of games but the games themselves were still enjoyable, he didn't steamroll but he wasn't totally useless either. The only downside to not escaping against him much is that I still haven't experienced Alucard's Shield
-
I'm looking forward to playing it tomorrow. It comes out 11pm tonight my time, though I might load it up on the Portal briefly to check it out before bed.

Since distortion is on the chopping block months ahead of weave, I personally can't wait for object to take over.
I fully expect Olympic level mental gymnastics as people try to claim that "permanent aura reading" is busted and broken with object, even though it's technically only possible because of the permanent aura reading of weave.
Click on any thread about Weave and there's countless people saying there's absolutely nothing wrong with the perk. So I would hope they keep the same energy for Object since it only works when Weave does.
-
I watched JRM use this build the other night and it was crazy how much aura reading he got. It's the survivor equivalent to a killer's full aura build.
I'm surprised he reported you though as OoO has a pretty obvious tell for killers that it's in play.
-
Probably Spirit. I can't because I have bad hearing (runs in my family) and bad ears (prone to infection, etc - currently have a perforated ear drum after a week of daily headphone use on my treadmill a few weeks back). So yeah, I know she performs best with headphones so she's not a killer for me unfortunately.
-
They need to have an actual block list, just make it limited so it's not abused. Have a max of like 5-10 people. Once it's full you need to start removing people if you want to add more. If someone finds themselves on so many block lists that it starts to affect their queue times then maybe that's a warranted consequence? I imagine it'd be mostly hackers finding themselves on block lists
-
I can only speak from my own experience, but I don't DC or let go on hook during unpleasant games, or games that are clearly lost, or against killers I dislike... but I will do a pretty half-assed job in chase in those situations because I have no motivation and am completely fine with being sacrificed. I'll put in a bit of effort but my heart's not in it, you know? I mention this purely because I've noticed a particular sense of apathy amongst the general survivor base in recent months and that could be a contributing factor to what you're seeing.
-
You can still quit. The penalty isn't that bad. 1 min the first time, 5 min the second, then 15 or 30 I think (never gotten that far). The penalty doesn't take away your options, you just need to be prepared to cop it on the chin.
-
I'm sure they had their reasons. Whether Konami didn't give their approval for it, or the devs decided against paying extra for the characters because they weren't sure the chapter would sell well enough to justify the cost.

this change pretty much doesn't do anything regarding average dbd match because average survivor really has no idea on how to actually use the hook in their favor as a way of pressuring the killer, and because of that they will try to gaslight you how this change is just about "well just don't camp" despite them going next on hook against campers anyways.
On high skill level this change is literally drastic. Kobes were something you could ban in comp for example because you can control people not to try kobeing, but this change is something even comp community doesn't know how to solve, while being well aware of how severe it is. Whole 10s of additional hook pressure per hook state, combined with Reassurance that hasn't been nerfed at all is just a huge overkill for hook mechanics that are already completely unsafe for killer to generate map pressure.
The ideal game process for killers is - one person on hook, one in chase, one going for an unhook/heal, and one on gens. That's pressure. Even Otz, who is considered one of the most knowledgeable on the game and listened to by many, has said this. It's not ideal for survivors to leave team mates on hook because they contribute literally nothing to the team on there. And if the survivor in chase goes down while someone is hooked, then it's recipe for a snowball. They need to be unhooked and back on a gen asap. Using Reassurance on a survivor when you can just unhook them is bad decision making. The only time it's good decision making is if the killer is camping. Because in that situation, it's one survivor on hook and 3 survivors on gens. No one is in chase, no one is having to unhook and heal. No pressure.
Also comp isn't even the same game as pub so no reason to get into that. They have their own rules, the devs have nothing to do with it.
-
My escape rate has dropped significantly since 6.1 too. I like to joke that you're supposed to get better at games the more you play them, not worse. Goes to show that skill only gets you so far I suppose. The devs still control the process ultimately.
Thanks for sharing. It's nice to see a comparison two years apart.
-
Excited for Chaos, not so much for Lights Out but will try this new version. Especially if there's rewards.

It is terrible and will only get worse. The devs have chose their side, it's not survivor, it's definitely not solo queue.
You know this yet you continue to spend your time in solo queue.
Why?
I'm not the person you're replying to but I am a solo queue player. I disagree when it comes to the devs being killer or survivor sided. I don't believe they're either. I think they plan the majority of their updates well in advanced, and after survivors got the HUD update they decided to focus on updating killers for a time. It's possible that once they're done making killers feel and perform a bit better, they'll come back to solo queue. They did say awhile ago their goal is to bring solo queue closer to swf. So I'm hoping that's still the case.
And you know, if/when they do come back to solo queue you'll have killer mains coming here upset calling them survivor sided. Then when they update something for killers again they'll be called killer sided lol it's like clockwork. Solo queue may be miserable right now but I'm sure it won't always be. I just hope they're listening to the right feedback (survivor feedback) when it comes to improving survivor.
-
Totally forgot it was even a thing until I saw it mentioned on here. My games feel the same.
-
Really sorry for the loss of your precious furbaby :( some people take this game way too seriously and should be ashamed of their behaviour
