SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: When you use the security cameras with The Animatronic, your game audio becomes "stuck", so if there was a gen to your right being repaired, you will have that audio for the rest of the game. Your footsteps are off and every audio in the game becomes almost inverted to where you or the killer actually is. It's impossible to use any audio queues after this.
PLATFORM: PC STEAM
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: I used the security cameras, and then my audio became stuck. I tested this 3 times and it happened every single time.
yes, it's the security doors.

Same issue both on PC and Playstation 5 since the update. First heard it on PS5 and didn't know what had happened. Then confirmed on PC - Steam that it was the same and narrowed it down a bit. So far only noticed on the new Five Night's of Freddy Map. Other player noises (panting, grunts, etc.) would be heard in random places away from where they are. For example, I was near the shack and the killer was chasing another player. I was healing behind a rock and some bushes, and it sounded like the other survivor was right next to me. The killer's audio was fine. Then, I went to go do a gen, but I couldn't find it because I was following the sound of it already in progress and based on the sound, it wasn't where it should have been. Then I moved to the gen and the audio sounded like it was to the left of me. I was facing the gen, slightly angled with the gen to the front/right of me.
Finally, after going through one of the doors and coming out of the other, I heard the killer like he was on top of me but I saw him in the distance.Attached are my player logs. I'm also using stereo headphones and never had this issue before the update. If you need additional information from me, let me know.
Update: I can confirm that it only happens with the new map and killer. I played another match against a ghoul on the Laboratory map and didn't have any audio issues whatsoever.

i think it's from using the security doors, but i could be wrong. it may also be the map.

AUDIO
I'm having trouble with the audio on the dbd, and I hear things that are far away on the right side as if they were right next to me. It's quite frustrating.
Tengo problemas con el audio en el dbd y es que cosas que estan lejos las escucho por el lado derecho como si estuviesen pegadas a mi, es bastante frustrante.
It appears to be an issue with the security doors, i only notice it once i go through them.

this is literally a non issue lol

There's a delay before you can actually pick it up. While you're being hunted by a guard you can see part of the inside of the Standard flag materializing before it can be picked up and when you hear a loud horn sound that means it can be interacted with. If you run into it before that, it won't do anything.
The delay is normally 5 seconds for Carnifex and Assassin, and 10 seconds for the Jailor, however there's also multipliers for this based on the Knight's patrol path length which can make it take up to twice as long to appear (longer patrol paths = longer wait time before the Standard can be used).
oh ok, i wasn't aware. i just thought the horn was a sound for how long the chase was taking. thank you for the information.

No, a map ban system is not a good way to approach the overall issues with maps and Killer mobility in the game. The best fix would have not to have created such a HUGE discrepancy between Killer mobility, so that some huge maps are nothing to some Killers and nothing but heartache to M1, slowpokes by comparison. That ship has sailed however. The next best fix would be for all the maps to get a rework wherein the M1 aren't playing from behind. It isn't perfect fix, but probably better than having to redo all the damn Killers. The only OTHER way to fix it, which I think would work would be to make it impossible for certain Killers to get certain maps. That would be problematic in different ways.
Me when I load in on RPD as legion: 😞💀

I might have "lost" a match or 2 playing 2v8 as killer, but it sounds like you're just crying. 2 decent killers can absolutely destroy the survivors most of the time, especially if you actually team up for parts of the match. Maybe you're not picking the right killer? A lot of the time wraith or trapper with each other, or with someone like huntress is extremely oppressive in this game mode, the survivors actually get the short straw in this mode because there's literally double of them, so more people to find and chase, and 2 killers, which means twice the amount of patrolling. It may be unbalanced, but it's really not the killers who are mostly affected by it.
Also, no one is forcing you to play 2v8 I'm playing 1v4 for the most part to get challenges done, and there's plenty of survivors on for variety in matches. If anything most of the matches seem a little easier rn, depending on the killer and build I use. I feel like you're complaining just to have something to complain about tbh.

More hidden numbers. Yay! 🤣

Same thing for the limited gen kick they did, it punishes the killer who aren't trying to keep a 3 gen but still defend generators. I had a game on Gideon where I had already eliminated 2 survivors, but because I kept up the pressure I got punished for kicking the same gen, and when the last 2 were alive I couldn't do anything except for semi-puppy guard the gen since it was blocked for me and practically at 99%. I got the third person out and let the last person escape through the hatch, but if 3 or 4 survivors were still alive it would've been a different story.
I hate the gen kick nerf because it punishes the killers who are doing well enough to just keep up with the survivors, and then it gives them a free gen once you can no longer kick it.
-
Overheat was garbage, but even Bubba has charges so he can't just chainsaw all game, and a way longer object-hit cool down. Maybe Billy needs a slight nerf, but I like the Overheat mechanic. He actually feels more like a viable killer now, even for console/controller players. Maybe something where revving it and actually running build up 2 different meters, like Overheat and Overdrive respectively(?)
-
Honestly, I completely disagree. They added this effect to Ruin, along with nerfing the regression speed and it basically killed the perk, I'm pretty sure that's why they reverted that change. If Grim Embrace stopped gaining stacks just because someone died and you didn't get 4 individual hooks yet then it's basically an empty perk slot the rest of the game. When I play killer (I typically don't tunnel and camp) then I actually have a decent game where either it's hard fought by both sides, or I get destroyed by survivors doing generators way too quick (even with stuff like Eruption/Pain Res this can happen). When I play survivor I feel like it's rare that I actually have a decent game and I hardly escape, this is because of solo queue and tunneling. The only reason survivors think the game is so hard is because of slugging and tunneling, if these issues actually got addressed and fixed by BHVR the game would probably feel more balanced, if the perks had a downside like that it would probably incentivise more tunneling because no one would see the perks as worth running and they'll use other perks to have a way around it. When it comes to NWO I'm not sure how severe of a nerf that would be, but it does kind of makes it's entire effect almost useless. Maybe something where if the exit gates are powered, or when it comes down to so many generators or a certain number of hook stages you stop gaining or using stacks would be a better change instead but I don't really see any of it working well without basically ruining perks.
Edit: also, sometimes the survivor wants to be tunneled, or they're the only survivor you find and the killer shouldn't be severely punished for survivor mistakes either.

This isn't a PSA. This is just your salt spilling
Lol, sure. I feel like most survivors now have no idea how to 99 or what it even is, and I have valid points to back up my claims for why I think people even in solos should 99. It's not just a rant, I'd much rather die because of 99ing, instead of getting hooked (on first or second hook state), gate gets opened, and all other teammates are pressured out of the door. It leaves no chance for the player on the hook to survive when this happens, at least if you get unhooked, run to a 99% exit gate, open it to start EGC, and still get downed you had a chance to escape. As I said before EGC only hinders survivors and gives the killer immediate free pressure. Your comment is absolutely incorrect.
-
I literally don't understand the point of not 99ing, as I said before all the timer does is give the killer free pressure. Opening the gate just makes it to where you get forced out, if solo queue teammates would 99 more people would escape, instead of having the timer pressuring you out and you just leaving teammates for dead, opening immediately seems like a way worse choice to me.

@egg_ said:
99ing has killed me or my friends (when not in a full swf) way more than people straight up opening the exit gate. If EGC timer isn't enough for you to save someone, that's really just on you. At most, 99 the exit gate before fully healing, then open it. But keeping it closed while someone is getting chased is the worst choice u can make
How is it the "worst choice"? EGC doesn't help survivors and I'm tired of being left on the hook just for everyone to leave because the timer is started. That is an even worse choice imo.

Their Anonymous Mode violated some of Microsoft's policies and was removed after like two weeks or so after it was introduced. I don't know how the devs didn't know this beforehand, but the current way it's implemented can't work on Xbox like it does on the PlayStations apparently.
Interesting... I'm pretty sure other games, like Fortnite have the same thing, does it work this way across all games or just DbD?
-
I can agree with the other people commenting that certain situations call for immediately opening, but most of the matches I play and do good all game, make it to the end, just to get singled out and hooked just for my teammates to start the timer has gotten out of hand. All the timer does is pressure survivors to leave, leaving the gate closed gives more margin for error and less pressure to get everyone to the gate immediately. Hook grabs have been removed, so not going for the unhook (unless you're on death hook, or there's rancor or you're injured + NOED) at the end game is just ridiculous. 99ing would save me a lot more than it doesn't.
-
Best feedback I can give is, all in all he is just okay in his current state and using his power feels more like you're hurting yourself instead of helping. The 3 blades per second feels really bad, even with no recoil, hitting blades on console is still a pain. Either 3.5 or 4 blades would probably feel a lot better. Please change this, even the people who main Trickster were unhappy with this change. It's like he was before, I still don't really want to play him because the throw rate is so slow, even in main event it feels slow.
-
Xbox has Game Pass, so this really isn't an issue for everyone. The most annoying part is all of the damn dlcs you HAVE to buy because DbD is BHVR's biggest cash cow.
Edit: I now realize what you're talking about, but it doesn't bother me at all that we may have to pay to play online since if you pay for the subscription service usually games are free with it. It's almost like Netflix or something similar.
-
Why are we crying about content that got removed and has now come back to the game? Can't you appreciate that it's even here to begin with? Also, who cares? It's fun no matter what, you don't have to go on a rant because it's not how you like it. This post is pointless, I doubt the devs have zero plans for the tiles in the future.
-
Could people relax? We literally just got this content back, and you don't have to be pampered every second that you breathe.
-
Well, it could be Chucky. This looks like a Trickster, Clown and Wesker knife. I don't think that's Legion's. I think it's to throw people off, I don't see why it wouldn't be Predator. Though I could see Chucky since it will be just a killer release. Idk...
-
The Alien just now got released with a perk that gives killers haste after a successful basic attack for a few seconds. This with STBF would make it seem like you get literally no distance from the killer. My guess is that you haven't seen the perk, maybe you've just glanced over it without taking a second look and so you haven't noticed it yet? This is the only explanation I can truly offer, also don't forget about the Skull Merchant perk that gives you haste after breaking a pallet when chasing the obsession.

Oh okay. Thank you.

I know that platform shops always have it available a little bit after the official release. Depending on region and platform it may vary..
But it should not be this long, have you tried restarting your system?
Yes I've restarted it multiple times.
