The event is fun but the snowmen have been screwing me over in chases.

Nope! I just checked unfortunately😭 They released some first skins that came out 6 months ago and the Knight rift outfit.
Last time they did this it was Singularities rift which was also 6 months old at the time. It seems like it will probably never release again honestly. That sucks😔
All you can do is keep waiting, this is so frustrating.

I’ve still been waiting on Nightowl Huntress and it’s been over 2 years!😭😭😭
There’s no reason why it should take that long for a rift outfit to come to the store. Maybe it’ll be today!

yeah but they’re probably only gonna put like 3 or 4 outfits in the store. Not all unfortunately.

I just think windows needs a 30 second cooldown or a shorter range.

It's only fun if the Myers is going for jumpscares instead of actually trying to play. And even then it's not that fun because matches either drag on forever or are over in 5 minutes.
i agree with this, thats even more boring than farming.
-
@Arbmos1998 said:
To be honest if you think something as gimmicky as Jumpscare Myers is boring to go against despite everything else in the game i dare say you are burnt out on this game now. Jumpscare Myers is always refreshing gameplay with that old school element of DBD horror experience what put DBD on the map to begin with.
I won’t even lie I am a little burnt out for this reason, but I also have a hard time staying away. Yeah SM can be fun at times but like my teammates just seem to not care about fun against Myers. Which is so sad because Myers is a horror icon for one thing.
-
@MikeyMyers666 said:
I would also add that people seem to like going up against Scratched Mirror (aka Jump Scare Michael). He can pop up out of nowhere and people are genuinely frightened by it. But he's also not overpowering and obviously not good in chases, so it usually leads to a fun game for everyone.
i wish that was the case for my matches, because most of my teammates give up.
-
ok, thank you friends!

All these options were hard to choose, I love seeing these cosmetics with great creativity.

I agree these changes are gonna make her useless, BHVR needs to rework her to make her fun for both sides.

i see a lot of it on social media

2v8 is fun for a few games but it got boring playing against the same killers. We need a lot more variety when it returns.
-
Unfortunately with the way this game is, we have a meta on both sides which can be shaken up but then we get a new meta so you see there’s always gonna be players on both ends running the same perks.
Personally I only try to limit myself to one anti gen perk because I like to use a different variety of perks. The way some maps are badly designed encourage weak killers to use a full gen regression build and they will tunnel out someone quick in early game to gain pressure. -

Sadly I had quit DBD when that was released, so I haven't even tried it yet. But those challenges with random perks are probably the same, I assume
I like chaos shuffle because it’s nice going against a variety of perks, it should be the same with items and add ons.

"Look at me being polite and sportsmanlike." What you described in the OP is basically following someone who stormed off the field into their locker room to shove your hand in their face. I'm not justifying their behaviour. I'm just wondering why you can't understand it.
Because you and several other people have accused me of rubbing my win in their faces when that was not my intention. And I’m gonna keep doing what I want to do because streaming platforms are public so as long as i’m not breaking any rules I don’t need anyone’s approval of how I’m gonna go into someone’s stream and interact with them postgame.
I’m just trying to lead by example and be the better person than someone that chooses to ragequit at the beginning of game simply because they don’t like going up against a certain killer/ game mechanic. -

saying gg is provoking a reaction next you'll say getting a down is provoking a reaction this community softer then overwatch
Seriously, it’s like excuse me for playing fair but I’m the bad person because of your poor sportsmanship.

I don’t think survivors should have anyway to get back up without the help of a perk, if you remember a basekit self pickup was tested but SWFS abused the heck out of it. Which is why BHVR decided not to go through with that change.

Not really. I have never denied my bias towards survivor that is a natural result from me maining the role.
And I most definitely do not make threads or posts claiming to care for both sides. I recognize that any opinion I have on killer is lesser in most respects to someone who actually mains the role competitively because I play killer casually.
I take issue with people feigning being unbiased by just slapping 'I play both sides' on their thoughts.
I literally didn’t even say “I play both sides” also about your “killer behavior and balancing” comment earlier you are implying that it’s the killers fault for the way survivors act. That is the survivors own wrong doing.

Bit of the ol' pot calling the kettle black here, no? I mean if we're gonna call other people biased.
Anyway, as for the topic/OP, it's a little disingenuous to go into the stream of someone who just rage quit and expect anything different. It's like when someone gets irate during an argument and tries to walk away and then wondering why they snap at you when you follow them and keep engaging. They're clearly not thrilled with you, and even if their reasoning is total crap, let it be.
I just don't get this phenomenon in general. Following someone after a match after they lost (especially if there was any indication there were bad feelings) is at best schadenfreude and at worst just toxic gloating/baiting. No good is gonna come from it.
And if you're gonna go into their thread to revel in the fact that you beat them, at least don't insult their intelligence by saying GG.
But don't get me wrong, I don't think there's any good reason to ragequit. But following a ragequitter around saying GG is a pretty flimsy pretense for being toxic.
you know what maybe people shouldn’t stream than or go anonymous if they don’t want their opponents to come in post match. I stand by everything that I said. I’m not gonna blame for myself just for simply saying GG I was your killer whether or not that sounds like me rubbing it in someone’s face.
-
@Ayodam said:
Is this some weird new form of bait?
Going to that player’s stream to say “GG” after your win seems condescending. Not sure why you’d think someone who rage quit would want to hear anything at all from you. I wonder if you really did it to like mess with him because there’s no way you thought someone who rage quit would appreciate you entering their stream to say something known for being mocking.All I said was “GG I was the clown” but I’m not gonna blame myself because someone chose to ragequit.
-
@CrypticGirl said:

Even if going to the stream wasn't the appropriate thing, I do think that streamer's reaction was over the top, because like you said, it's just a game at the end of the day. I have my times when I give up, or when teammates give up, but I just move on. The other day I had a Skull Merchant, and the first teammate gave up on first hook (surprise). In the end, she 3k'd at four gens (she gave hatch to the last guy). The Killer came to my stream and said "gg, no hard feelings." I'm like, "Meh, it's Skull Merchant, what can you expect?" What else can we expect aside from a miserable match because no one wants to play against her?
part of me feels bad though because I know how frustrating this game can be. Unfortunately that is how it is in the online gaming world. You’re always gonna get those heated moments.
-
I’ve been seeing so many survivors rage quit lately, I can’t imagine ever wanting to be friends with people that constantly quit in a video game.
-
@elpumpkinttv said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/423867/this-is-why-i-can-t-play-survivor-anymore
Then again you could have told him something more than just GG. Saying GG sometimes just sounds as a gg ez that you say just because you won. Sometimes I stream too and the killer enters in my chat and usually they are very nice to me and we become friends and I don't mind that I got killed. If they say GG I might just say GG back but it doesn't create any proper conversation
yeah maybe I shouldn’t have went to their stream because now that I think about it, it probably wasn’t the appropriate time. But I also think streamers need to take accountability for their behavior when they choose to quit in a video game all over a certain killer or perk.
-
@WolfyWood said:
Killer behavior and balancing has been a far greater contribution to Survivor being miserable than the occasional ragequit could ever be sorry.
killers are not the problem. Survivors are the ones complaining about killer perks but yet survivors have perks that literally let them abuse windows.

Honestly, doing what you did post-game is anything but polite and respectful or at the very least it's failing to read the room.
I was polite and said GG, thats all you can do. Idk what else I’m supposed to do.
-
@alpha5 said:
Did you expect anything different?
No, nothing shocks me anymore. It’s just sad this is how some people behave in a game. Especially giving up at 5 gens.

Moris are very flashy animations which reveal a little about the Killer performing them. They currently don't come into play very often since they require an Offering or for a Perk with specific conditions to be used. We'd like for them to be a little more present in the game, and having them happen at the end of the match feels like a fitting and cinematic way to close out a match without affecting gameplay too heavily.
However, I want to stress the fact that this upcoming version is not the same system that was tested before. This version has been significantly scaled back after we received feedback. We will share more once this update is a little closer.
thanks for the feedback, this helps me get a different perspective and more understanding.
-
I do wanna make it clear that I’m in no way trying to sound selfish, I just don’t want the playerbase to be heavily divided to the point where it can have a negative affect on the queue times. I’m open to any discussions that can maybe help with that.

Lol. It's not any more selfish than the people saying everyone else should tolerate longer queue times because they want 2v8.
Yeah idk why people think i’m being selfish I’m just expressing my concern I have if these modes are gonna be kept around. we don’t have a large enough playerbase for separate permanent modes.
-
they should do a community contest for male and female characters.
-
personally, I don’t think any new modifer/gamemode should be permanent as it would make queue times too long for everything.
