when I play as killer it’s 3 kills, a 4k is a bonus. For survivor it’s long chases which is the fun part of playing survivor regardless if I survive or die.
-
problem is so many weak killers rely on these perks, we need to buff the weaker killers and then adjust gen regression perks but not nerf them too hard.
-
Visible like you can see your MMR? I don’t think BHVR would do that.

I wanted them to bring back ranked/ grades. That would be awesome.
maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea

It should be tweaked or fixed, it simply doesn't work fine rn.
For illustrating a bit: I've had a long break since July 2024 and I started playing again a few days ago, when playing killer I'm more or less ok because I'm killer main, but as survivor I'm pretty rusty, I've been playing in the last 4-5 days and I've had a lose streak of 8-9 matches in soloQ but the MMR keeps matching me with 2K hours killers and honestly my MMR wasn't too high before the break… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yeah this MMR in DBD can be so funky, you can be a brand new player and somehow get paired up against survivors with 5k hours.

LOL are you insinuating that in fact kills do not equal skills?
Joking aside, I'm sure it'll be some barely noticeable tweak.
The kind of overhaul it would take to make SBMM actually useful isn't something BHVR is interested in, I fear.
I actually thought you were serious you had me for a sec 🤣

I’m having the best time of my life.

great changes overall

DBD is as DBD is. Sometimes you just see some perks more often, sometimes you dont. I personally havent seen that many No Mithers so it's safe to say it isnt that wide spread.
Some people use No Mither for challenging themselves (DBD's Hard Mode), some people use it because they leverage the perk gimmick (infinite self-pickups) for an advantage, or some people chip away at old Archives since they have no reason not to (extra Bloodpoints).
Only reason I can think of is there’s so many slugging complaints so I guess people wanna try to combat it as best as they can LOL

here ya go 🐶

I feel like deep rifts should stay exclusive for these who did them.
Regular skins from battlepasses should return after a while to store so anyone can get them, so no gate keeping.
But recolor version of them should not imo.
Yeah that would make sense because it’s only a recolor and not the main outfit

Well, a base Corrupt for totems could be nice. Kind of like that Dracula perk, or does that only block chests?
i’ve always suggested this!
-
It’s an okay perk I don’t see myself ever using it tho
-
Survivor mains are so entitled and miserable this person is probably someone who is single and have never received any positive affirmations about their life.
-
I think adrenaline is fine I personally don’t use it though.
-
don’t talk about how the game is “killer sided” when you and many others on this forum bring up “I play both sides” as if that helps your argument in anyway because you automatically lose that argument.
-
The problem I have with the go next is it punishes survivors who wanna quit when no gens are getting done. Because why should I be punished if I’m running the killer in a long chase and no gens are getting done???
-
Lillipie101 is one of my favorites I would recommend checking her out.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/439412/is-slugging-an-actual-issue
the reason why slugging showed an increase is because hooking a survivor isn't worth it with all the anti tunnel perks/mechanics that put survivors at a massive advantage after they unhook that you're punished for hooking more than one survivor not to mention survivors can bring that unbreakable boon or just bring unbreakable to counter it.
with gen regression being nerfed underground with the gen kick limit and all the nerfs to gen perks as a whole people slugged to compensate since it 1 got survivors off gens and 2 gets them out positioned so that chases can be shorter 3 allows gens to regress longer and 4 gets survivors into more chases which is allegedly the "fun part" of the game
slugging was just a response to fast gen speeds (even after i left and came back the problem just got exponentially worse) and even with these changes they aren't addressing gen speed or buffing regression (or getting rid of that horrible gen kick limit)
you nailed it with this post, I also feel like a lot of survivors only play survivor or they don’t play enough killer to understand the frustration that happens in their matches which makes them have to slug. I’ve had to slug a whole team because they all wanted to sabo and blind me.
-
well you can’t play her at all because her power is useless, she’s supposed to be getting reworked this year but I have a slight feeling that may not happen.

Devs seem to not even taken any consideration how malicious its being used. It needs to go else amma stop posting till its gone. Why make here reddit 2.0?
BHVR has plans to stop the hiding though, it’s one of the planned QOL changes coming this year.
-
slugging is a problem and I’m all for reducing it, but I don’t want killers being punished for slugging when survivors try to sabo and get flashlight/pallet saves.
-
killer is in a better spot today than it was last year, you will have rough games of course but depending on your killer I recommend coming back.
-
wanna comeback to this post but i’d be more surprised if the hellraiser chapter returned because of the NFT stuff.

With stranger things in general i was surprised that they have timed licenses. If i were them i wouldn't want a license if it could go away, and the license would work basically in perpetuity for the life of the game. But idk.
every gaming company has to renew a license to keep it in game though.

Was that stated by Netflix or Behaviour or just a rumor?
it’s a rumor but I saw thousands upon thousands of people begging netflix to bring back ST

@IamFran said:
I hope you can negotiate it again in the future as happened with the Stranger Things chapter.
And I also hope it will never happen again, take more things into consideration when you negotiate a new license for preventing this.
Sadly I don’t see pinhead coming back again, only reason why stranger things returned is because players kept pestering netflix for the license again.

I will be curious to see how much these bundles cost. Some of the earlier rifts were DNF for me, since I didn't play as much then, and only played one side. I don't remember what was even in them.
I feel like they’re gonna cost around 3500-4700
-
@SummerBBQDwight said:
I don't think deep rifts should return.
Why? Because first of all its all just recolor so its not that important (on some skins the blue we used to get all tomes is better and on some not so much). Second, I think people who "invested" their time and money into years of playing before should keep at least something like "mini" legacy of past rift skins.
New players wont lose any cool skins but still something special stays with OG players. Balanced.
oh I agree deep rift cosmetics shouldn’t return for this reason, players who played during that time should be rewarded for the grind and it shows dedication.

On a personal level, I disagree with complaining when someone/something is clearly trying to improve themselves. At a certain point, we have to give a sense of grace and a chance. How would you feel if someone was upset every time you tried to do something or fix an issue? It’s not very motivating to be told “you suck” every time you try to do something or make a difference.
The last chapter was dead on arrival. None of the Dead by Daylight content creators liked the killer, and I assume the statistics look bad across the board. Hens screaming “DOG, DOG, DOG” on the new Ormand map immediately comes to mind. To understand intent and motivation we shouldn’t look ahead—we should look backwards. I’m sure FNAF has something to do with it—but FNAF or not, the timeline stays the same. The new player experience needs to be polished. The game has not been growing. Clearing tech debt is the solution.
Almost the entire community is complaining about the game quality and how bugs are ruining matches. Just the other day, Otzdarva ended his entire stream because he had a serious bug that has been in the game for years, and the bug prevented him from using his killer’s power for the rest of the trial on Greenville Square. BHVR is acting on our feedback, and responding to criticism moving forward.
Let’s at least give them a chance.I’m trying my best to be positive, I want this game to grow and be successful and fun in both roles. It seems like most of the playerbase are the veterans, so we need to have more newer players stick around for hopefully a much better balanced and healthier game.
I don’t want us veteran players to have to carry this game on our backs because we love this game and we’ve put thousands of hours into it, we definitely need the new players to have something that won’t be headache for them like the grind for example. -

getting these health update is validation that we are being heard, as well as plenty of past quality of life, Game Health and Balance decisions.
The problem is that they take very long with seemingly easy and obvious solutions (eg losing collision when having afk crows).
Imo it does not help to make stuff up like we are only getting Game Health updates because of potential FNAF newcomers. Thats not really constructive criticism - what do you expect them to do? Stop either FNAF inclusion or the Game Health updates to show they are not directly connected? How would that help in any way? Or any other Point here that I cant see?
this isn’t me trying to make anything up, what I’m saying is these health updates seem to only happen when big licenses come to the game to keep those players around. BHVR has done great things, but as a consumer I have to criticize certain things I see that are off.

I think it’s a bad faith argument that FNAF introduction is somehow the one and only reason for these changes. We don’t know why and for how long they have planned this (but for example spawn feature has been a topic Mandy has directly talked about for a long time)
This could also be due to changes in the dev Team, eg Not Long ago Almo announced he was leaving BHVR and he was one of the senior Game Designers and has in the Same Post defended Camping and tunneling - also we know that the Position of the Lead Game Designer was still open after the last one left may suggest changes in this team that may have lead to these changes and this very plan..
And there is even more going on behind the curtains that we all have no clue about..
Yeah idk it’s just how I feel and if people disagree than thats fine but we need more validation that we are being heard.

I was saying the same thing on my stream last night. Not only about the timing, but also how many changes we are getting during each phase and it's some very bold changes. Literally almost all the big ticket items that have been major points of discussion. Then it's supposed to not be balance changes, but QOL? How can you address camping/tunneling without getting into balancing the game? Same with map offering balancing and item balancing, is the plan to just throw things at the wall in an attempt to address and see what sticks and what doesn't? So many questions with very little answers right now.
I’m glad i’m not the only one who thinks it’s odd with the timing of the FNAF collab coming in a few months, it seems off when many players complained about all the problems in this game for years and all of a sudden BHVR has all these changes lined up for this year with a huge horror franchise coming to the game. On top of that a lot of players including streamers have uninstalled and are now playing games such as marvel rivals and they have been successful with their new content. Maybe this is all just a stretch but I can’t help but feel like this timing is bad.

Sometimes you have to fail 100 times before you get it right. That's part of the learning process.
Exactly, one thing I learned in school was “the road to success is paved with failure” which is this current situation.
