Okay you're not even thinking about how those aura reading perks stack up though lol.

Let's just type out a typical game.

    Everyone loads in.

Survivors immediately (should) run to a generator.

    OOP KILLER HAS LETHAL-

Killer is on someone and downs them.

Killer has Pain Res and BBQ. (That's 3 perks)

Killer gets gen block progress and sees the next victim.

    Rinse and repeat.

one of the most basic rules of playing surv was always NOT to repair the first gen you find, and it is not only because of potential Lethal, but also because first gen is probably not gonna be at benefivual position for you and will lead you to finish gens in order to lock yourself in 3-gen.

Next, we are crying because of BBQ? Like literally most healthy aura reading perk jn the game? And you are literally acting as if aura reading is guaranteed next hook, which is not the case when eam is at least somewhat decent at the game.

There are actually 25 reading aura perks (plus a lot of addons) for killers. Distortion was the only genuine counter to killer aura perks and it's useless now. A killer can see survivors aura almost from EVERYTHING. Hit gen - aura. Surv finish repair gen - aura. Surv repair gen together - aura. Hung on a hook surv - aura. Carrying a survivor on a hook - aura near scourge hook. Open locker - aura near all lockers. Surv healing - aura. Surv open chest - aura. Surv destroy totem - aura. Run near totem - aura. Surv go at basement - aura. Surv staying near open gate - aura. Run near empty item (Weave Attunement) - aura. End chase (Predator) - aura

    That's insane!

    1. BBQ & Chili
    2. Awakened Awareness
    3. Lightborn
    4. Territorial Imperative
    5. Nowhere to Hide
    6. A Nurse's Calling
    7.Undying
    8. Rancor
    9. Bitter Murmur
    10. Friends 'Til The End
    11. Face the Darkness
    12. Weaved Attunement
    13. Darkness Revealed
    14. I'm All Ears
    15. Gearhead
    16. Lethal Pursuer
    17. Alien Instinct
    18. Blood Warden
    19. Deerstalker
    20. Grim Embrace
    21. Hex: Retribution
    22. Nemesis
    23. Predator
    24. Scourge Hook: Hang Man's Trick
    25. Shattered Hope

so, out of those 25 perks, you will see 4 at the very most per match.

Out of those 25 perks, around only 5 are popular amongst killers.

Out of those 25 perks, you literally named those that directly counter Distortion because they burn it's tokens.

And finally, Distortion is NOT the only counter to aura reading perks, game sense, map awareness and chase skills are also a counter.

  • idk what BHVR was even thinking when pushing it to live tbh, it's such a braindead kind of getting aura reading on survivors and is definitely 2nd perk aside NTH that is gonna benefit Nurse so much.

Wait so we can call out the exaggerated 101 perk comment but we wont call out the survivors also have speed boosts "as much as killer" comment?

Yes, survivors have speed boosts, the fastest there was (BGP) was nerfed which I am not arguing against, but it only gave you a few seconds of speed boost. Same with SB. Yet killers have Machine Learning which gives speed boost for 60 seconds each time it procs, PWYF, and multiple others including add ons.

Yes survivors have aura read but not nearly as many as killer and there are stealth killers where aura read does nothing the entire time they are in that form.

Don't call out one exaggeration without calling out the other just because its on the same side of the fence as you.

    1. me and many other people already complained about haste being slapped just like that onto survivor and killer perks and how PWYF is an unhealthy perk
    2. aura reading on survivors yields more power than aura reading on killer, but still, me and many other people heavily vouched for tweaks to perks like NTH and were definitely against PTB Zanshin and Predator.

The catch is, i actually saw killers adapt to what survivor play far easier than survivors, because survivors usually don't even try.

Because of how bloated his kit is, for a power of that nature. Hyper-mobility can be tricky to balance because of the way survivors have to play around it. They are powerful abilities, after all.

Hillbilly and Oni are good examples of well-designed killers with hyper mobility. Hillbilly has the charge time to keep in mind and Oni has to build up his power, but in return they are gifted a good power. That is fun, and fair.

Wesker in the other hand, is a perfect example of a horribly designed killer, for a power of that nature. He has barely any charge time to worry about, he can vault, he creates a countdown towards Hindered and he gets a notification of your location as soon as you get rid of the infection (which you have to do). Passive slowdown and information are good abilities, but they cannot be paired together with mobility. This is way too much.

Even if you somehow play perfectly against him you will go down, because you will get slowed down and once you're fully infected he only needs to get you once, while not worrying about… well, anything. And it doesn't help that the few resources you can use against him are scarce, thanks to the map reworks, so regardless of which direction he throws you (which shouldn't exist as an ability to begin with), there is a good chance you will be stuck on a deadzone with nothing to use. His hitboxes are extremely inconsistent. Not to mention his incredible potential for tunneling, which thankfully isn't as intense as it used to be before his nerf.

Also, he doesn't even contribute to the horror atmosphere and his voice-lines are annoying.

He is not unbeatable, of course. No killer is. But I don't think his power is healthy for the game. I would be happy to never see him again.

    Terrible killer design.

Oh, I was there. It still wasn't enough.

    5 blinks were not enough?

only thing in Wesker's kit that can be actually considered a problem is Hindered status effect, tho at the same time it's his only way of pressuring the map.

His hugtech and urobending have a way to be avoided and his power is basically much fun to vs in 1v1s than those of majority of other killers.

  • old PainRes that activated every time you hooked any survivor on a hook was the healthiest perk i the game, DMS should've been nerfed instead of it.

any perk, item, addon and strategy that revolves around denying hooks from the killer is extremely unhealthy for the game.

    Pentimento needs to be reworked.

game needs much harsher ways to punish people that give up early.

it's not shame to find fun in winning, but it's really cringe when you use meta perks and then complain how your opponent "doesn't play for fun" because they didn't let you win.

  • @Peanits said:

First off, thank you to everyone who took the time to leave feedback!

30 seconds in chase per token is a little steep, so we'll be adjusting Distortion's recharge time to 15 seconds per token in an upcoming patch. This should make it a little easier to get your tokens back after you've been found.

or is it maybe because people average 20s in chase so they can't fully recharge their tokens with 30s tokens recharge time lolz

    @Skillfulstone said:

Honestly, if number tweaks were too much to ask, all they had to do was tie token recharge with gen repair.

This would fix the main issue people complain about: Survivors hiding and not helping.

It would be much harder to hide in endgame/in a 2v1 since to keep hiding they would need to come out and do gens (and if a Killer finds a partially repaired gen then they know that someone is around even without needing aura).

But well, rip Distortion I guess if the Devs don't change their mind. For the vast majority of Survivors they will get 3 uses per match tops since all their chases will end on a hook. Complainers won.

Goodbye altruist-stealth build, hello yet another gen perk or Sprint Burst.

Good ol' perk variety getting lowered again...

Honestly, if number tweaks were too much to ask, all they had to do was tie token recharge with gen repair.

This would fix the main issue people complain about: Survivors hiding and not helping.

that doesn't solve another problematic aspect of this perk: people using it as a crutch in order to completely avoid killer interaction. In fact, this even incentivizes hiding even more against bad-mid killer players game sense vise. We are supposed to encourage people to improve at the game, not to reward them for not willing to improve :)

It feels like at this point just give killers permanent wall hacks because they're practically nearly there with it... Though in all seriousness, BHVR could lean in to Killer Instinct more, it has no counter but it's also more tolerable to manage than aura reading. A Huntress is going to have an easier time hitting an aura than a Killer Instinct warning, so the survivors at least have some chance. I don't think it's a good time to invite new players to try survivor at the moment...

let's not pretend how BHVR isn't running completely out of inspiration regarding perks to the point they just slap aura reading/haste on any perk they rework. yes, Weave is unhealthy, yes new Predator is unhealthy, i don't even know why they pushed it to live, NTH is unhealthy too, but there are some healthy aura perks in this game, such as BBQ and FoR. BHVR just needs better inspiration for perks

  • you have started discussion about Distortion being a great team perk in SWFs, i gave all the arguments against it. It's not a different topic, it's just that you tried pushing a point about overall crutch perk used only by bad players (similar to killers using Lightborn, excluding cases of people with photosensitive issues and flashbangs), while that perk has little to no space in good teams.

  • @HolyDarky said:

I've already said that Distortion is easier and safer to use than Object of Obsession and it can't put you in a bad spot. I

easier and safer to use against killers with no game sense, thus creating you a comfort zone where you hold yourself back from improving (quite an average Distortion user experience), but when you actually face a killer with game sense, you will find yourself completely handicapped as soon as they find you and eventually give up very fast as the match starts. The most powerful perks in this game are the ones that have skill floor

  • maybe Gordon Freeman as survivor and Ravenholm as a map (i would still die on my hill that Ravenholm would be one of the sickest dbd maps ever regardless if it was properly balanced or not)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7NBT34DRB1I0/image.png

Darkness Revealed is the only aura reading perk in her build and, judging by the build and offering, it's a classic M1tress that wants to respect pallets and throw a hatchet right into you.

All in all, this is one of the worst possible arguments against Distortion nerf

  • @HolyDarky said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3816411#Comment_3816411

Scratch Mirror Myers is not very common. Like how often do you see this build? Weave Attunement is easier to counter in SWF because survivors can call out the exact position of the dropped item and then the other teammates can drop their item in a useless spot for WA. According to nightlightgg, WA is also rather mediocre in terms of pickrate.

you missed the part where i named those two as just the handful of aura reading aspects OoO is good against. I didn't hear any good argument for Distortion being a good team perk in SWF yet, please give me just one that isn't something OoO is already doing

  • @HolyDarky said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3816404#Comment_3816404

Before its nerf, Distortion was an amazing perk (it is still a good one but no longer that insane) because it does the same what Object of Obsession does but in a much better, easier to use, and safer way. The reason why you run this perk in SWF is to call out perks. It doesn't matter how you call the perks out (either by losing a token or by seeing the killer), the important part is that you can call out the perk. Therefore, OoO puts you in the bad spot that your aura gets revealed when it's not good - you can't always play around the reveal time. In SWF, you also don't need to know the exact location of the killer because you have teammates that can also give you the info where the killer is or where the killer goes.

Distortion - cancels aura reading and removes scratch marks per token while not doing anything else, doesn't work against perma aura reading (Scratch Mirror Myers, Weave.

Object of Obsession - at base, reads killer's aura for 3s every 30s at the cost of your aura being read for 3s too (also provides action speed boost while your aura is being read)

Also, every time killer reads your aura, their aura is also revealed to you for the same time your aura is revealed to them, meaning this perk gives you insane value against Scratched Mirror Myers, Weave Attunement, while also giving you value against every single kind of aura reading, both perma and periodic ones.

In SWFs, this perk gives huge value even at base level, not to mention other cases where it gives insane value.

  • Object of Obsession is literally the best SWF perk in terms of not only dealing with aura reading on killer, but also having the way to always know where the killer is and to report it to the team, especially if your team knows the clock callouts. Also, when killers read your aura, you will read their aura too for the exact same time as they read yours.

Compared to this, Distortion is like "omg killer has this aura reading perk because my Distortion token got away omg"

  • @HolyDarky said:

Year, this is also one point that I dislike about old Distortion: In SoloQ many players used it in a selfish way but in SWF it was one of the best teamperks (similar to old COH → One perk for all four). in my opinion, a perk should either be useful and healthy for SWF and SoloQ or give SoloQ a good QoL change (like new Quick Gambit, Bound, Kindred). The new Distortion is still useful but much fairer and healthier for both, SWF and SoloQ (still more value in SWF but no longer that insane since there is a fair requirement).

ummm...that's Object of Obsession, not Distortion if we talk about SWF value :D

  • soo...the average chase time of survivor per hook state is 20s (taken from stat where average time of survivors per match is 1min), which was 10s below the 30s threshold, meaning this 15s change was literally full-on cattering to loud players who plain refuse to improve and last less than 30s in chase.

  • @francesinhalover said:

Doesn't help killers are full of antiloop now. Every new killer that came out has ways to deal with pallets.

i find it hard to believe you are facing some of most powerful antiloop killers in 90% of your matches :D

the rats still exist without distortion I had a bill in a game tonight who did nothing the entire time and waited until I’d killed everyone and then tried for hatch. He was cocky running no mither too. Let’s just say he didn’t make it

but then, you also have another kind of players: those who don't know that chases also matter. You are mot supposed to be on a gen and pray killer won't find you, you are supposed to have a plan B and actually be able to draw the killer off your tail. If you don't, your gen repairing dedication has no real use since you end up 2-tapped anyways and actually benefit killer by saving their time more than you were useful by sitting and repairing that gen

100%. I ran Distortion all the time, but was always taking chase as well. I ran/run it primarily for two reasons:

    1. To cancel out Lethal Pursuer
    2. But primarily to help me identify what aura perks the killer is running, which is its biggest benefit, as if it's an info perk. Once I know what perks the killer is running, I don't really need to have my aura hidden anymore because I know when they see me.

Some people give Distortion a bad rep, but it has far more utility than just helping hiders immerse.

    1. Lethal Pursuer still pushes a 1/4 chance that you are the survivor killer will chase, which is not really worth of using your perk slot that way.
    2. Object of Obsession does basically the same thing, with the addition of reading killer's aura every time they read yours.

Exactly lolol if survivors want to hide they will and dont need Distortion to do it. Meanwhile the majority of people who use Distortion as a strategic perk instead of selfishly are getting punished. Pretty typical in dbd nerfs.

the main point is: people are crutching on Distortion and will count on it to win their matches as they hope killer has next to 0 game sense, but will usually give up at the very moment they realize killer has game sense and manages to find them, down them and hook them very fast.

Being e.g. gen jockey is not about knowing which gens to repair while not knowing any other aspect of the game.

In CS2 for example, being an AWPer (sniper) player doesn't just mean you should use AWP 24/7 because your team economy will often not let you do that, meaning AWPers also need to know to use other weapons in the game.

People have not cared about depips since long before that. The better argument would be to choose back when they changed it so you could no longer depip out of a rank, but even still, that would imply people were going next back then as frequently as they are now, and they simply weren't. Removing depips has not affected that to any meaningful degree.

then why did depipping removal have such a positive feedback and why did intensity of people giving up rise sharply after that change?

  • @Valuetown said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3815909#Comment_3815909

The reason the burnout argument doesn't work is because of how long dbd has been around. It has existed for more than 8 years. Why all of a sudden now of all times is it allegedly widespread and not a long time ago? 8 years is a very arbitrary time to say "yep it's burnout."

It is true that the definition for fun is subjective to everyone, but then what is the "fun" being facilitated by the current state of the game since morale is at an all time low?

because depipping removal recently was the final factor that made people completely legitimize giving up so easily.

If you remember the times before where DC penalty was bugged and nobody received it for DCing, there were plagues of people giving up to the point where game was barely playable.

All in all, burnout is widespread for quite some time, removal for another specific sort of punishment for giving up and community considering bots as reason why they are more lighthearted to give up than ever a trigger for what's happening nowadays. Freedom for cherrypicking matches is at the all-time high.

  • @Valuetown said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3815725#Comment_3815725

Burnout is a scapegoat. Burnout is a symptom of the game not being fun. People don't get tired of a game if the odds of having a fun match are high.

burnout is a symptom of not having fun, yes. But what exactly is fun for people?

What exactly can you assume is fun for ppl who bring meta perks and addons on items into the match? quite a huge part of community)? Winning is the only answer here. Yes, there are ppl who like to goof off too, but they are not the majority.

And then, since winning is the major fun aspect of the players, they would do whatever it takes to win, right?

Well, the case with dbd community is...they think taking specific loadout into the game is enough to feed their fun hunger, while they don't have to basically do anything in order to improve so that they can further feed the fun hunger.

So, since they lack one critical aspect of the game, they will give up at the slightest inconvenience where they assume game isn't going their way, and thus, burnout happens.

  • @Green_Sliche said:

The issue is with subtle cheaters.

Those guys have a high chance of not getting banned while still do continue to plague the game.

Blatant cheaters can always be reported and will eventually get banned.

obvious cheaters use cheats that severely alter killer's gameplay and quite a lot of burner Epic accounts, those are the ones even more dangerous for the game and a reason why something needs to be done about the whole killer-host of the match situation in order for cheaters not to be able to have significant control over killer's gameplay.

  • @Crowman said:

It's not that the devs don't care about addressing cheaters, it's just that cheaters don't just stop trying to cheat because old cheats got shut down. They simply look for new ones.

Also this came into my recommended one day and I watched it

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGa_sAwljUA

The other issue is that cheaters even if they do get banned, will create new accounts and continue cheating anyways. Really helped by when Epic was giving the game away for free a few years ago.

Hens' clip on YT summarizes some of points i noted quite a while ago:

    https://youtu.be/_gKG71tE_Lo?si=2pfrtCMAGSzFJwm6

    the two big problems are:

    1. config being so easily accessible that you don't need to try very hard to modify values of perks for example

    2. since servers are built up in that way that killer acts as a "host" of the game, cheaters can literally control killer's gameplay in order to even hold the killer hostage, this was vastly used by some of them to literally torture dbd content creators by streamsniping them and doing these.

    3. injectors are so easy to use too and you can't even get banned for using them unless somebody manages to streamsnipe you while playing against you, use report function and then send a mail with VOD, same goes for jconfig related cheating.

Dbd is a serious game at this point, but at the same time one with the worst problems in terms of dealing with cheaters since gamefiles are easily accessible and there are no reliable ways of dealing with those since you usually can't do anything unless you have ID of player and VODs.

  • @Chiky said:

BMing like tjat should be banneable 100%. It's just making the game miserable for a player

BMing in terms of emoting like this or tbagging is something vastly present in video games and is usually only bannable in some pro tournaments because "taunting enemy in order to tilt them is not allowed".

People should just get over both humping downed survs and tbagging

  • @Valuetown said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3815524#Comment_3815524

That isn't the problem. Even if you get rid of "going-nexts" on hook, people will just stop playing the game altogether. The game needs to be fun.

My logic is allowing both sides to be fun simultaneously to facilitate people wanting to play instead of giving up. Since, after all, it's a game and that's the entire point of it existing. To be fun for the end user.

ummm...the point is that people that are clearly burnt out from the game stop spreading their misery to others and eventually stop playing the game for some time if that's what it takes for community to be a healthier place.

Atm, people are visibly tired of the game because many have been playing dbd and nothing but dbd for such a long time, it's literally a normal thing to take a break once in a while, dbd community is just obsessed.

yeah, it’s almost like killers are designed to be the more powerful role on a base level - crazy stuff.

killer role is much more perk dependant than survivor role, this is just some high tier copium for not being able to improve as a player, so you have to blame everything else but your own game knowledge.

  • @Yamskeezy said:

You made it a waste of a perk slot. How many times a match do you think your aurora is revealed a match? Imagine a killer With a weave atunement franklins demise and two other aurora perk build. The aurora will be revealed like 20-30 times a match and now you are lucky to get 6 hidden auroras a match (two before each hook). Unless they have new predator you escape chase and lose a token you were better off bringing a different perk. 3 tokens was very fair, but now two tokens only getting it back in chase just made this a waste of a perk slot. I am a survivor main and run distortion heavy. It is a niche perk, some games it doesn’t proc at all and i waste a perk slot or some games i thank god a brought it. On matches where killer has an aurora build all 3 tokens are gone before the first gen. Nerf aurora builds good killers dont need wall hacks. Survivors have their aurora revealed for anything, spawning in a match, unhooking a friend, going in a locker, completing a gen, taking protection hit, weave atunement franklins demise is also busted. Bbq chilli, no where to hide, and now the new predator perk. With new predator i will get two tokens back in chase then lose one as soon as i escape chase, that is sad. Distortion is nerfed to garbage tier perk. Make it so you still have 3 tokens but recharge them doing gens. So survivors have incentive to do the objective. Now instead of people hiding you sill have 3 survivors trying to steal a chase wasting time trying to get their distortion back instead of doing gens.

next time maybe you should work around and try learning not to crutch on perks.

This is the exact reason i never wanted to hardcore rely on old Eruption, old Ultimate Weapon, camping 24/7 to win etc.

When you notice you are getting hard-carried by a perk that is already considered problematic and actually lowers or completely removes skill aspect from your gameplay , you should realize it's time to push it out of your most common builds.

  • The Kill Switch is a recent feature added to Dead by Daylight. It gives us the ability to temporarily switch off any items/offerings/maps/cosmetics/characters that are causing game breaking issues in the game, to ensure continued enjoyment. When the Kill Switch is used, the item/offering/cosmetic/character/map will not be able to be selected. Maps are automatically removed from rotation, and they will remain unable to be selected in Custom Games.

you need to make sure to read what killswitch feature is meant for before asking for nerf of a perk.simply because "it's OP"

  • giving up plague is not really perks/MMR problem tbh, but instead a mixture of players being fed with one type of very toxic mentality and devs basically rewarding those players. As a cherry on top, you have people who are burnt out from playing dbd so much that they will give at every slight inconvenience.

I feel that we should be able to pick ourselves up since this happens way too often. Make it so it takes longer to recover on your own, and if you do happen to recover from the dying state you get back up with deep wound, so that way it won't be as overpowered but punishes the killer for leaving a survivor on their own.

slugging is more prominent because hooking survivors has been heavily devalued over the time by the various changes to general and perk mechanics.

Instead of bringing one more basekit perk as handholding mechanic for bad players that will be extremely easy to be abused by good players, we should make hooking valuable and far more powerful than slugging.

In cases of killer bleeding your team out, you can have team give up option and that's it.

  • revert Distortion so that bad people can stay play and so that griefers can hide all game and wait for hatch, very smart

please reverse dead man's switch Seriously, that perk helped killers without map control or weak killers to be able to reach the gens now it is simply useless and has no value

it was literally the most problematic perk in the whole game on killer's side that led to many unfair nerfs to completely ok and healthy perks, like old PainRes. I would say don't revert DMS, but bring old PainRes back

So new TOME ..150% survivor bonus so far 3 hours. Wait time for game is 7 min …most longer as only 3 survivors are in. Tell me again the role of survivor isnt becoming more and more unpopular to play. I just got Sable to level 4.… Not one party streamer, not one commodious toolbox. So now we are taking away add ons on see. That's smart

in EU servers, killer queues are quick from like 5PM to 6AM. After 6AM, both killer and survivor queue times get obnoxiously slow lol

I play killer most of the time probably 90% and i know what you're saying. With that said i think slugging is unnecessary a lot of the time and if someone bleeds out for 1/3 of their bar in one down it seems a bit excessive.

so...why are we suggesting anything like basekit UB (which is just another kind of second chance for bad players handholding, while extremely powerful when good players use it) instead something like give up option as a team?

  • ahh yes, please exaggerate it more, we need that punchline

perhaps a free recover after one third of bleeding out or a set amount of time on the ground?

this "solution" is nothing but rewarding misplays and making already bad players even worse

Yeah? thats kinda the whole point with Distortion, also not being found it the most effective way to survive.

this is exactly the "tunneling is the most efficient way to kill n win" while it's basically only efficient in pubs where survs last 20s per chase

That's a complete change of subject and you know it. It's not even subtle.

It's entirely irrelevant to your erroneous claim of 60% killrate = 50% winrate.

i am changing the subject because i said that even 60% killrate is overinflated because goal is to balance the game revolving around the current barely existing MMR system with maths saying flat 60% KR = 50% WR? I guess it wouldn't be relevant to balance e.g. League of Legends around 50% WR per champ because every match can be RNG based due to champ pick order lol.

Except the outcomes are not evenly distributed at all, with 2Ks, for example, taking up a significantly smaller proportion across the board.

Your model assumes totally equal chances of every outcome when the game's mechanisms aren't just sheer 100% RNG. DBD doesn't work like that. You can't apply 'basic percentages and maths' to a complex problem.

well, if we wanna talk about RNG, there is one 4% RNG that affects matches more than all other kinds of RNGs combined lol. The one that is inflating killrates so much that if it was excluded from stats and actual optimal matches were taken into consideration, killrates would be extremely lower

  • idk, but at this moment, i think giving up intentionally against specific killers is dbd community's version of whiny players in other communities review bombing their game just to force a nerf to specific aspect.

And BHVR's response to it in terms of choosing to either gut a killer or significantly lower their skill expression is just the very sign of how spoiled dbd community is.

    60% kill rate =/= 50% winrate, it's much higher than 50%.

5 outcomes of the match (0,1,2,3,4K), each outcome counts itself as 20%. 60% average killrate equals to 2k on average, which is a tie on killer side. Literally basic percentages and maths lol.

The last three days, 80 percent of the killers I’ve faced have been running full aura builds for 3 perks and then Iron Maiden. I don’t know if a streamer or popular player has pushed it but it’s literally 4 out of every 5 killers I’ve gotten suddenly running this. Getting in lockers is supposed to the the other counter to aura reading but with Iron Maiden it’s completely nullified. Distortion is the only perk survivors have to counter full aura builds. Nerfing that is gonna cause a huge problem and I’m waiting for the backlash to it.

unless we are talking about "perma" aura reading builds and NTH as a perk, why is it actually problematic to see a killer running full aura build? First of all, it's a low chance killer will start chasing you if aura of whole team is revealed. Second, even if chase is started, killer is definitely not guaranteed to win it. Third, full aura reading builds remove all the pressure killer can create from their build.

  • if you don't find fun in pubs due to MMR not existing and skilled players on both sides being able to stomp opponents, scrims and DbDL are way to go
