Personally, that really wouldn't make him viable, since his biggest problem is that his power still sucks badly. I think he needs a complete rework from the ground up, new power and all. No matter how they buff/nerf him, he's either going too be really cheesy and unfun too fight as survivor, or really weak and unfun too play as for killers.

It would a little bit because survivors will have to mend more often since they don't know when their timer will expire.

Therefore, that means less survivors working on generators while in Deep Wounds and etc. β€” Unless they want to take a risk. 😁

  • The problem I have is with Nemesis and Beast of Pray β€” they basically revert Legion's counterplay and bring back Hold W2 win tactics. This isn't funβ„’ nor creative at all, it just makes him able to cheese survivors while they have no counterplay.

Here's what I'd do to make him viable while removing the cheese strategy:

    • Both the survivor and the killer cannot see the Deep Wound timer, just the Deep Wound bar to indicate someone is in Deep Wounds.
    • Survivor's Deep Wound timer will pause when within a 16 meter range to the killer.
    • Revert mending time back to 16 seconds.

Basically, the timer is not tied to the TR anymore but to a set distance to the killer. Since the survivor nor the killer cannot see the Deep Wound timer decrease, they cannot use the timer for tracking each other. πŸ€—πŸ˜

  • @Peanits said:

It is fairly long, but you also gotta' keep in mind what it would be like if four people are using it. It works out to one pallet reset every 30 seconds.

Could it be tied to Exhaustion but on a shorter timer, say, 100/80/60 seconds? :)

  • Just, ya know? Don't stun him once you know he has Nemesis! To be clear, I'm not saying this is balanced, but you shouldn't let history repeat itself once you know they have Nemesis! 😁

Honestly, they should make DW pause when you're within a 16 meter range to the killer, but both the survivor and killer cannot see the remaining amount of time. Therefore, they cannot use the timer for tracking each other. πŸ€—πŸ˜

ANY MEANS NECESSARY: WHAT?! So... all members of SWF is gonna run this, you drop the God pallet at shak after a 2 1/2 mins loop, go away for 3 seconds whyle one of your teammates goes to it, fixes it, you return to shak loop, use god pallet again, repeat as much as you want as long as all 4 of you have the perk... Nice!

WHAT?! This is a must have for SWF that's gonna be tough AH to counter...

#########? I'm pretty sure I've seen lots of posts talking about the new killer... In previous chapters as well. Guess is against their guidelines when it suits them..

Well, I can pretend I have a leak too! πŸ˜πŸ€—

I data mined an upcoming chapter 14 killer, it's called: The Dedicated Servers.

It's power pretty simple, disconnections. When channelled, all survivors suffer a delay in all actions, the severity of the delay is dependent on how long the survivor is injured, up to a maximum of a 2 second delay. 😱

This can be channelled for 5 seconds and has a cool-down of 20 seconds.

If the survivor doesn't heal after reaching the maximum delay penalty, they will begin to alter reality and eventually DC after 60 seconds. Survivors who DC receive a 60 second timeout and cannot join the Trial until they wait out the timeout β€” they also lose a hook state and if they don't have a hook state remaining, they are sacrificed on the spot when they return back to the Trial. 😁

  • @Sylorknag said:

Just me or are they deleting every post related to Legion?

What a joke of a company.

    Pretty good job.

Actually, they were getting deleted for a reason β€” the posters were discussing a leak (a violation of the Community Guidelines).

I was guilty of this at one point but I hurried up and edit everything out (as well as told the moderators I'm really sorry). I was so scared! 😱

Probably they tightened the rules on Rancor because you are able to mori them immediately without any prerequisites, so it's almost a guaranteed kill if you can catch them

To play Devil's Advocate, aren't they good as dead once you find the last survivor? What difference will a mori make? It's near impossible to wiggle out anyways, and in fact, the mori gets the match over with quicker so you can move on to the next Trial.

The Rift ends when you complete all tiers up until 70. Once you hit Tier 70, The Rift is officially complete and you'll have to wait for the next one to gain new rewards.

Right now i'm at Tier 40 and i'm almost done with Pt.2 of Tome l. I could be at 60 or 50 if I played constantly since The Archives came out, but I haven't played DBD constantly in months... it's either from a lack of motivation or to keep the longevity going for me.

But besides myself, you complete it at Tier 70 and that's about it afterwards... judging from how the average player would play a few matches after their Part of Tome l is complete... you should hit like... Tier 50 (Which is around where all the serums are finished being collected) in say... 3 weeks if you're casually doing it?

If you do it like most of the day than you can do that in half the time.. it might even take 4 weeks casually, the math really depends on the player themselves. But to be honest, each new Rift gives about 2 months+ to complete... so that's WAY MORE than enough time to complete it... even if you're casually doing it from the start.

Even if you start from right now mid-way through Pt.2s release... you could still hit Tier 70 on The Rift if you keep it up... slightly more than casually... but it can still be done.

Currently I'm at tier 20 and only 30% done with tome II β€” should I speed things up or am I going at the correct speed?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It's like you should get about 500 xp/match if not more, approximately like 10 games to level up 1 tier of rift. Most people without a doubt should be around levels 10-20 by now.

Currently, I'm at teir 18, but I haven't completed all of Tome II. 😁

Goodness, I had these guys make it so obvious what they were doing, try hard sweaty SWF bitches. I would hook them and I just KNEW someone was nearby so every time I hooked someone I would take a quick look around and bam someone and sometimes everyone was right there. I wasn't camping, it was a tactical maneuver based off previous behavior. It was very entertaining to watch them fail so hard because they just couldn't walk away, they just had to be helpful, poor babies.

Then tonight I had a match go sideways real fast, lost chases, lost gens I was trying to keep, I Hooked a Nea in the Basement just as the last Gen was done and I saw 1 person on a door with BBQ but everyone else was invisible so I camping was the right move. I was hoping I could get more than 1 down as they went for the save but it just didn't happen sadly.

Camping is a valid strategy, sometimes it's necessary and sometimes it is 100% unnecessary and it is those times that make you a bad Killer.

I can agree with this! πŸ˜πŸ€—

Personally I think the Pig is fine, but that wouldn't bother me too much, unless she became way too powerful. Then again usually the generators being repaired are done by teammates while you're on the hook rather than you yourself, so maybe it wouldn't be too strong.

Since you chose not to do generators, you will have 3 minutes to remove the trap.

  • @Spirez said:

Valid strategy. If the killer knows they’re close enough and he could get another easy down why on earth would the killer leave!? The longer the survivors wait and not do gens the worse it is for them. That’s why as survivor if I see camping I go straight for a gen to take control. Once they see gens popping they start to realized they need to do something

You can't do generators fast enough if the killer has Ruin and NOED.

Upon all of what I mentioned, if you're solo, you have to check to see if the killer is camping before you even begin to start punishing it.

That's basically around 1/4 of their hook state gone from checking, and now you have to cleanse 5 totems as well as complete 5 generators within 1 minute and 30 seconds.

I'm not done yet, you have to do this with 3 survivors too.

If the survivor team doesn't complete a few generators or totems before the killer begins to camp, that's a game over. πŸ˜•

    To clarify:

I have nothing against camping when the killer has a valid reason to camp such as a survivor leaving scratch marks in the area. However, when camping is being used incorrectly, that's when I think there should be a harsher camping punishment. πŸ€—πŸ˜

Except I didn't, someone else did. As I said, I try to get traps off my head asap, well except for getting heals.

Well, then we can do this to the RBT: Let survivors decide how they want to handle the RBT.

    Rules Set NO.2 is base.

While the survivor is trapped, every second a survivor repairs a generator also decreases their RBT timer by a second β€” up to a maximum of 60 seconds.

Timer is increased to 180 seconds.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/843332#Comment_843332

The searching a box in front of you is just a bad case scenario. I've had that happen even without RSN2(in fact I've never even experienced a pig use RSN2) and I try to get a trap off my head regardless. Sometimes you're just screwed. I had one game where a survivor was searching a box while I was nearby, so I left it to find another, that person was being chased by the pig, and the other box I was searching didn't have a key. Needless to say, I died from the trap that game, because the one that had the key was actually the one the pig was chasing that survivor at.

If you didn't do generators, you wouldn't have died to the trap. That's what people don't see: Yeah, survivors will do generators instead of getting their trap off, but at a cost of putting themselves at risk.

One time, the whole survivor team had RBTs on them and they rushed the last generator pretty fast. Typically, I would start checking boxes, but instead, I opened the Exit Gates to put the survivors on a double timer.

I ended up turning a 0K into a 4K because they didn't want to get their RBTs off before completing the generator.

People don't give the pressure a RBT causes enough credit, especially when you're unlucky. πŸ˜•

There was always something so cool and badass about that version to me.

I also wanted to say if this discussion is in the wrong place, I'm sorry, feel free to move it to its proper place.

Honestly I can kind of see why this isn't base. It'd just encourage people to stay on generators until their trap is activated.

People already do this even without Rules Set NO.2, and it often gets them killed because they make poor choices due to their timer running low.

I experienced this as a survivor and I seen survivors as a killer try to search a box in front of me.

I got good grades in primary school when it came to basic reading, thank you.

But I wrote two scenarios where this idea would make no sense at all. In fact, when 3 Dull Totems are cleansed, it would be even better, since then Ruin would be the other Hex-Totem, reducing the chance of removing NOED to 50%.

And well, his idea does not make any sense. The Survivors cleansed any Dull Totem. This is what you do for preventing NOED. Now this ABSOLUT FAIR AND BALANCED Perk should also work with Hex-Totems which Survivors did not manage to find?

    Nah, not really.

I'm not insulting you β€” just telling you that's not what OP is talking about.

In the scenario you gave, it would be completely fine if Ruin remained because it could trick the survivor into thinking it's the NOED totem. However, WHEN (WHEN is the key word here) it's JUST Ruin, repeat, just Ruin and ALL OTHER TOTEMS ARE CLEANSED, Ruin should deactivate for NOED because Ruin does absolutely nothing during the endgame by itself.

Are you seeing where I'm coming from? 😁

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/842274#Comment_842274

Sure, I know. It is kinda bizarre that Ruin gets cleansed in 2 seconds (according to the stories of Killers), but here we have the "problem" that Ruin stays up for 5 Gens.

This does not really make sense tbh. If Ruin would have been cleansed as well, there would have been no Totem left for NOED anyway. And if only 3 Dull Totems would have been cleansed, Ruin would be even better, because then there is a 50%-chance that cleansing the Hex will only remove Ruin and not NOED.

I don't think you're understanding what OP is wanting:

Ruin is useless at the endgame when it's the absolute last totem remaining because there's always the chance that the killer is using a perk that can make better use of the totem.

    Totem 1: Cleansed

    Totem 2: Cleansed

    Totem 3: Cleansed

    Totem 4: Cleansed

    Totem 5: Occupied by Ruin.

Since Ruin only affects generators and since there are no other totem for No One Escapes Death to link with. Ruin should deactivate and become a dull totem so that No One Escapes Death can be more useful than Ruin. 😁

This will only happen if Ruin is the last totem.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Do you really complain that your Ruin stayed up the whole game?

He's not complaining about his Ruin stay active all game β€” he noticed Ruin is useless after all the generators been completed. Therefore, he wants it to be changed into a dull totem for NOED because No One Escapes Death is more powerful than Ruin during the end game. 😁

The Emblem System works for the survivor role because it rewards you for doing various actions, and it can obviously tell if you was the MVP of the survivor team β€” regardless if you die or not.

There have been several times where I did so much for my team that I was able to double pip even through I was sacrificed.

Someone's gotta' sacrifice themselves to someone who's literally not even playing the game just so the other three can move on. It's getting real tiring to power through generators with Ruin, and I understand that killers need a that time to get sacrifices... but man, it feels so terrible to stay in one place for the majority of the game, ya know? I, and as well as the community, want the monotonous time we spend repairing generators be dispersed into other small, fun tasks.

I know you get told this a lot as the developers of Dead By Daylight, so instead of suggesting something, I would like to know if you have anything planned to shake things up for survivors. It's okay if you don't have an exact date or a Soonβ„’ to share, but something as small as "We are thinking about it" or "It's definitely possible in the future" will really soothe us! :)

Im fairly confident with this prediction for the next killer.

It will be some type of samurai, and their power is they commit sepuku which will enchnant their blade with blood. This will have various effects, but most importantly I think it will either be able to one shot survivors or shoot a beam of blood out like a projectile able to injure survivors. Various effects (for the killer) I think could be colorblindness, reduced speed, time limit, etc.

The main reason I think this is because of the large emphasis on blood this chapter, and I could see the devs making a killer commit sepuku.

Here's my prediction, and it fits with the murderous theme of Rin's father:

    Blade's Terror

You are tired of your pain and the only way to relieve the darkness inside of you is to share it.

Upon pressing the active ability button, leave a cloud of smoke behind and go completely invisible. While invisible, you can not perform any action until you press the active ability button cause a smoke sense and become visible.

The smoke cloud will appear red if the survivor is within the smoke cloud.

Survivors can see when you're reappearing, and hear heavy breathing when you are close to a survivor while invisible.

Attacking a survivor after becoming visible will cause you to pin them. You and the survivor will receive a series of skill checks that increase in difficulty.

If the survivor fails first, you will inflict the dying state to that survivor. Otherwise the survivor will get injured if they weren't already and escape the pin.

  • @Peanits said:

I know this isn't a very serious thread, but let's try to turn this into something constructive. How many average kills do you think something should get per match before you consider it to be overperforming? We can talk specifically about red ranks if you prefer.

I think killer should be balanced around a feast or famine playstyle that averages a 2K.

For example: Here's an example of a feast or famine killer.

    0K

    4K

    2K

    0K

    4K

    4K

    0K

    0K

    4K

    2K

This is what I want killers to be based around, every killer should have the potential to 4K if the player played perfectly but everything goes down hill if the player makes a few mistakes. ??

  • Personally, I would like to see Kindred get added as a base mechanic for the survivors.

and get all the perks on that character too and maybe you will have to play like 100 hours on that character to prevent the players who only play one character to level up the rest

To further add on to that, you only get one opportunity a year to earn them.

It's an event that lasts 2 weeks before the old Legacy cutoff date. On the cutoff date, if deemed worthy, you will have to sacrifice all your progress on all characters as a late fee. You must have at least 1,000 hours worth of progress to complete the requirements. If you're deemed worthy, you will always be deemed worthy, so you don't have to keep grinding and waiting because you don't have 1,000 hours. ??

  • @underlord99 said:

Can we stop talking about spirit getting "nerfed"? or how she doesn't need one , the developers literally have data showing that she is over-performing. Her getting tweaked wont make her unplayable, if anything it will just make her skill ceiling higher.

Just throwing this here, but I really want to have more life in the animations of DBD.

First thing is like an actual animation for surivor or killer when falling from a high place. Right now it just feels a little bit "stiff', it would be cool if there were like more fluid animations when falling. Maybe a little stumble or something.

Another thing that would be cool are variations on the killer's hit animation. Maybe add 2 animations which are just slightly different from the original one. It would also put some more life in the killer. While your at it maybe some variations to the moris too?

And lastly, some more emotions on the survivors throughout the game would be nice. Like have their face change when being in the basement, being in the terror radius, fixing a gen, ....

Let me know what you guys think about it in the comments, are there things you like or things you would add?

    Anyway thanks for reading.

There should be some animations for healing a survivor while they are dying, and when a dying survivor picks themselves up. ?

  • Legacy was awarded to players who devoted a ton of time and effort to the game. If BHVR were to re-introduce Legacy skins, they would need to test the player on whether or not they would be worthy of a legacy skin. πŸ˜πŸ€—
