I think he should be an 85% killer like nurse and he should only have 1 bottle. His reload time should also be increased by 30 seconds as just a mere 10 second increase just won't cut it.

I don't think so. Look at his past threads, this is the mindset of a new survivor
Well, they have had a fair share of killer sided posts, so I don't know.

I’m a seasoned Clown main and I can tell you he most definitely does NOT need nerfs.
Yes, ok, Clown is ridiculously strong in a chase, and finally more players are finally catching on and learning how to use him properly.
If you’re spotted, and a chase starts, an experienced Clown will take you down very quickly.
If he finds you in the first place...
Clown doesn’t need nerfs because his weakness is survivor stealth. If he can’t find anyone to get into a chase with, then Clown has nothing. Nothing at all.
Now that survivors are finally starting to go against more experienced/pro Clowns, survivors need to learn to respect that they’re going to lose each and every chase they’re in with Clown extremely quick. Thus survivors need to learn to treat Clown matches much much more cautiously. Try not to get found in the first place.
Also, pre dropping pallets also makes him terrible, so you don't even need to use stealth.

They promised us optimisation and fixes for over a year ago, and we still haven't got it. Fellow console players, let your voices be heard.

This is a joke thread right? I actually laughed so well done.

I don't think that a system like MMR would ever really work for DbD. There are too many factors that go into how well someone plays, especially for someone like me who feeds off the energy of my team. And ESPECIALLY while camping and tunnelling are allowed.
The emblem system was fine. People just didn't adapt to what it wanted and cried when it didn't support them.
The emblem system if flawed. How many potato rank 1 killers and survivors have you seen?

Imagine using a lightsaber to slice a DBD killer in half😂.I specifically chose GhostFace as an example because I can’t stand those who main as him.
I want to slice spirit in half, oh wait... she already is.

Let me get this straight.
You want DS to deactivate as soon as someone else is injured, downed, or hooked?
Please explain what happens when the Killer refuses to leave the hook and a trade has to happen.
Down and slug the person unhooking then go tunnel the person that was unhooked because their DS is now deactivated?
@Respectfulnancymain said:
you're still wasting alot of there time by slugging them...
Sure, you can slug them, but the survivor shouldn't be rewarded for making bad plays.

My friend, that's a camping killer. Do generators.

Keys, spirit, moris, exaustion addons and instadown addons
######### is wrong with exhaustion add-ons? Just sounds like survivors are overly reliant on these perks.

That's the point. We need more viable perks for both sides. Besides if you're gonna use vigil you will also need to use an exhaustation perk, which is 2 slots covered. So that means less meta perks used by survivors. Fine for me.
Survivors have MORE than enough viable perks on both sides, they just don't know they exist (detective's hunch, tenacity, repressed alliance, diversion, calm spirit, etc.) Besides, even using 2 perks to have that effect is very broken, and many veteran players like myself know why running and recovering from exhaustion was broken.
-
@naitsirhC said:
You recover from Exhaustion while running 80/75/70% slower.
You look over your friends even in dire situations.
You and your Allies within a range of 8 metres recover from Hemorrhage, Mangled, Hindered, and Blindness Status Effects 10/15/20% faster.
Once out of range, this effect persists for 15 seconds.
Its the same thing. but now you can recover from exhaustion while running. Maybe tweak how slow it happens, but this is actually a huge change for confident survivors that can use exhaustion perks multiple times in a chase, something like that.
No, that would be insanely overpowered. Back in the old days of dbd, you were able to recover while running by default, and everyone would use vigil to abuse it and use sprint burst twice in a chase. Vigil is fine as it is.

The game has the doctor whose theme and methods is likely inspired by either some crazy chinese doctor or a cia research program that included torture of random hospital patients.
Should he get removed?
There is a difference between a character being inspired by a real life killer, and the real life killer themselves.

Vote up this post.
I think we should be shown something that indicates our skill level.
For me DBD is competitive, i dont play for just fun. I play to be better than my opponent.
All the games i play, R6 Siege, BF5, Gears of war, ect i play to be better than my enemy. How can you make a 4v1 game and not give us a rank or something to show us skill or something for us to improve on.
How are me and my buddy going to race back to rank 1 on the 13th each month? Or have bragging rights about whos better than who?
Like when i was new to the game i use to study the emblem system at the end of my games to see what i needed to do more of the next game to make sure i got my pip up next game.
Now your telling us your going to do away with all of this and give us some janky unknown invisible score that we have no way of knowing what it is or how to improve it to become better?
If i wanted a casual game i would go hop on mud runners or some sandbox game. Im on dbd because its a 4v1 objective based competitive game that isnt a shooter game which is different and very fun.
Dont take dbd into the crappy uncompetitive game type. Make a casual game mode that doesnt include rank so all the potatoes can go have fun and goof off in that game mode.
When i que up i wanna get paired with sweaty experienced red rank killers who are going to put my gameplay knowledge and skills to the test, while also getting sweaty experienced survivors that know what there doing and have my back in this all out sweaty top tier sweat fest, and when the games over i wanna see how experienced my team mates were as well as myself and the killer.
The community is already toxic and i would say the majority of us enjoy the competitive nature of the game now.
Ha im done now. End of rant lol
This game isn't very competitive. How many tournaments have been hosted? How easy is it to do a tournament?
Also, you can't make a game with Ormond, Haddonfield, fractured cowshed, blood lodge, mother's dwelling, keys, moris, iri head, DS, unbreakable etc, exist. This game needs to fix its maps and add-ons to be competitive. Also, people who play casually shouldn't be considered potatoes, that's just ignorant.
-
Do bones, use detectives hunch :).
-
I think we're at a point where the basement can be removed. It's an outdated mechanic, and it isn't very fun on either side.

@CakeDuty said:
I'd say Oni or Demo.
Demo has a kit that can do a bit of everything and it takes a bit of time to learn how to be good with him, when to use his power and when to fake it. Also where it's best to put portals and such. Only downside with his Shred is how he also started the whole "No cooldown on cancelling M2" trend that's been going on with killers lately.
Oni without Infectious Fright is also perfectly balanced. Have to work to earn your power and when you finally get it, you get rewarded with instadowns and great map pressure. Also survivors can choose if they wanna counter him by healing or if they'd prefer to spend their time on gens instead. The reason I say without Infectious is because his snowball potential becomes a bit too good imo, with it equipped.
I think Oni with infectious is fine personally. Without it, he isn't very good, as his power is heavily reliant on snowballing. Survivors can counter infectious by using the perk "calm spirit". But most survivors don't want to use it, because they need DS, unbreakable and deliverance.
-
@slim0b said:
Title.
For me it's gotta be Oni, the man has to work to get his power and even when he gets it he still has to apply pressure to keep people from healing. He doesn't ignore any looping mechanics and has a good amount of counterplay.
Like you said, Oni. Oni is quite literally, the power role in dbd. He is frightening when he gets his power, and still has a good amount of counterplay. Also, he has map pressure and some of the best chase in the game. Honourable mention is hag, because she takes so much skill to master, and the better player will always come out on top. The only thing about hag that needs to be nerfed is her hook traps.
-
@Dead_by_Gadfly said:
OoO is the scummiest perk. Period.
Lol, I just had a team burn a Midwich offering with OoO against my trapper. You can imagine how that went.
-
Survivor: detectives hunch and inner strength tied. These perks are so good. Detectives counters noed and allows me to get totems to heal myself with inner strength, which is my favourite healing perk.
Also, tenacity because I love crawling fast and recovering at the same time. For the people, because it's an insta heal.
Killer: save the best for last, because it is extremely satisfying. Dark devotion, because of how underrated it is, and because it helps me get gen grabs.
Surge and pop, because they have me so much time. Monitor and infectious, because of the terror radius decrease and the increased value on infectious. Love the FOV as well.
-
They should never put real life killers in the game. He was a horrible person, and if they add him, they might add Ted Bundy, and I don't want that.

You could play this game for 30 years and still be at no higher than rank 10. AHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's not about how long but how good you play. My wife has played this only 3 months and is rank 2. Dont come at me with that crap.
But... rank 1 isn't hard to get.

Yeah, I really want to learn how to play nurse on console, but it's pretty hard since I'm playing against rank 1 survivors.

Unreal trap RNG (like...9 attemts and still nothing), BS Oni hit that made 0 sense, idiot teammate sandbagging me for no reason and screws up my run so I go down because of it. Any of these would be enough to finish my last game of the day right away, even if it means a 10 hour penalty.
EVERY game has bugs. If you can't play with these bugs that will get fixed, why are you even playing?

So watch more VODs. I get crushed some games, some are close, and I crush others.
Me going against potatoes, I stream when I play. I don't play off stream at the moment. So that's exactly the types of a games I get and I can't edit out the bad ones. That's the joy of it being live.
I play when most SWFs are online. I play on PC. I play EU. These are often the sweatiest matches.
I'm sorry I can win with a single perk. That's still not what the thread is about though.
Alright guys, if you post the end result of the game, you're just a meanie bobinie non humble bragger.

His stream is just 3-4 killer games going against potatoes mostly. Must be his region, platform or most likely the time he plays the game at.
3 minutes into the game and they do no generator in one game I saw..
In any case pretty boring stream in my personal opinion.
What are you talking about? His streams are 3 hours long, and he plays on EU servers, which are known as sweatiest.

And that's why the choice to opt out would be good, as stated before in a reply to @JustNxck a chunk of the player base is solos and wouldn't be as affected by a killer not wanting to play SWF, while the other chunk are SWF players. They can get used to playing solos, because I started this game by playing solos, it's not that hard. You can still get a win, hell even meet players who's better than your normal SWF group.
Yeah same, solo queue main here, and it's fine when running the right perks. Of course you'll get that odd match with bad team mates.
-
@Mekochi said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1505892#Comment_1505892
Of course that's a liable option but some people don't like KYF since you don't get anything from it. Yes killers will opt out from playing SWF, but they are treating it as if all killers hate it. There are a fair bit of killers who don't mind it and get satisfaction from destroying the SWF.
I find playing against SWF incredibly boring. It isn't hard to beat them for me, since they're overly altruistic. Playing against them is incredibly boring gameplay-wise, but incredibly satisfying after. I'd rather face solo queue players, because it feels like I'm actually playing dbd.

Yes, because he can get the first hit very easily. I recommend running nurses with it, so you can do a hit and run playstyle.
-
@CoyoteSinbad said:
What are you talking about? For the hatch to appear with three survivors in play, one generator must be remaining. Hooking one survivor is easy. No matter how skilled the team is, any good killer can hook at least one survivor. Oh, you're good enough to get two hooks? Team is now at half strength.
The game expects you to a maximum of 12 hooks to 4k. And you're gonna tell me that getting 1 is challenging? Keys are way less powerful then moris.
Yeah I made a typo. Edited the post, thanks.
-
@Dehitay said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1505724#Comment_1505724
Why would you use a 4 man key escape as an example. That's harder than just escaping normally. It adds a whole extra step. Even 3 man escapes are difficult. 2 man escapes are where it really starts becoming an advantage. And last remaining survivor is about 50/50 whether it's more useful to use a key or just open a door depending on what the killer does.
I didn't use a 4 man escape as an example.
-
@Dehitay said:
All you have to do is hook somebody for a mori? You do realize the requirement for key use is FAR greater than that. And if you think that keys increasing the chances of other survivors escaping is a problem, but not moris increasing the chances of other survivors dying, that's quite a double standard.
True, but with maps being as broken is size as they are, getting generators done is NOT hard. Also, moris do increase the chances of survivors dying, sorry for not clarifying in my post.

@EmpireWinner said:
I believe the SWAT swf are the ones killers complain about and are what???

Your argument is so flawed it's crazy. It doesn't matter how much these matches are present, by that logic, old nurse was fine because she wasn't picked much.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1505473#Comment_1505473
There were which makes it even funnier.
How is it fine though? I am fine with it being anti-tunnel, but it's just 60 seconds of immortality at this point, and I get striked even when I don't tunnel.

If the survivors ######### up that bad with 3 small pp builds, than they are just terrible at the game. Just using those perks together makes you bad in my opinion.
