Easy solution. Survivors in the dying state instantly go into cages somewhere on the map.
Killer can't camp and they now have the time to pressure gens.
-
Hag mori
-
It would just end up making more toxic Legions.
-
No skill in chase? Ok...
Understood if you just complain about 20 trap basement Hags but not ones that setup and chase you into their traps.
-
They do play and some of them stream or have streamed in the past.

That game had a lot of problems but at least i miss it. If dbd got shutoff tomorrow i might be relieved.
Evolve didn't last long enough for you to grow a disdain for it.

I asked a few patches back on reddit. From what people who understand this stuff better than me said; general incompetence and poor decision making in the structure of the game, meaning 100MB of patch are split over tens of gigs of compressed files or something that all need to be overridden or verified or whatever.
It is absolutely an issue caused by BHVR, literally any other game you watch update on steam can do updates of this size in seconds, it's only DBD that wants to rewrite 90% of the game weekly.
Its a trade off between larger downloads vs longer patching.
The game could be like other titles and have massive patches, but then you will have those that have slower internet complaining.

what does starbreeze have to do with dbd?
They were the original publisher until BHVR bought the publishing rights back.
-
Thats normal. If you want the prompt you have to walk slower or crouch walk.
-
Steam changed how they display the update process. Instead of having the update at 100% while it patches the game now shows the patching progress bar.
Its dependent on your storage speed. HDD will take a long time, some SSD will be faster depending on the specs, and SSD NVMe will be the fastest.
-
Nah, it would just be two survivors hiding while the third gets chased.

Maybe most killer players wouldn't tryhard so much if the survivors wouldn't act like toxic twats most of the time.
The other day I was playing a game as Trickster. They brought Haddonfield and cause of them ######### up big time I got a 3 ppl slug at 4 gens left. The last guy came to pick up and I went to chase him, then I was like "nah, don't wanna end it now" so I left him on purpose and hooked the other 3. I killed 2 in the end and the other 2 were both on death hook (got 10 hooks that game) and what did the 2 who survived do in the exit gate? They tbagged and then they started trash talking me in post game chat. I told em I could have killed them all but decided not to cause I wanted to be nice and not end the game so fast - they made even more fun of me. Needless to say I ain't gonna play nice again. Next time they ######### up, I will take my win and move on to the next game.
Fully understand.
My post was just pointing out the OP is just making it harder on themselves.
-
Sounds like you were dedicated.
-
The more you kill the higher your mmr.
The higher your mmr the more gen rushy the survivors will play.
The faster the games go the more you come to the forums complaining about not getting kills and will resort to dirty tactics.
No one see the pattern?

Did they fix the addon?

The hit validation isn't an issue with dead hard. Its an issue with how the Devs handle hit feedback. If the killer doesn't hear a scream or have blood splatter on their screen after a survivor dead hards, it would look like a normal dead hard. You will go into whiff cooldown and continue the chase. Its only because you hear the scream, see the blood, and the survivor still running away do you feel cheated.

Nothing that happens in-game is toxic. Tea bagging, camping, hook disabling, hitting a hooked survivor, whatever. That's not toxic. You may not like it but it's not toxic. It's just little animations on a screen doing stuff.
Toxic is what happens in end game chat or post-game messages where one human says to another human "Get cancer" or some such. What our characters do to each other on a computer game is meaningless. What we do to each other as human beings is what matters.
Just wanted to point out, that there are humans controlling those characters. The actions taken behind an avatar have the same impact as words spoken behind an alias.

Yea dashing around the map then to the surv ,hit them like 15 times even try farming but nothing .
If you were in a demon dash for +10s and down a survivor within the same dash, then open a bug report.

Your kills will raise your mmr higher even though you're not pipping.

Actually, I'd argue it's gone up. The entity makes sure that you can't reduce levels too much by tricking it into cutting off parts of the bloodweb.
Often times when I level a character, I earn 600k BP to get them to 25, then earn 1m BP to get them to 50. Before it was always 1.6m to get to 50, but this last time I did it this way, it took roughly 1.7m. I also did this by choosing the cheapest paths to perks, and buying perks immediately to activate the entity.
I don't know why they would change the way the entity functions; when I leveled ghostface from level 1 to P3-50 I made sure to trick the entity into cutting off as much of the bloodweb as possible, and I only saved 30k BP per prestige, or ~100k overall. Now, you have no choice but to spend more BP overall to hit 50, making the grind worse.
You must favor addons over efficiency. The numbers you have are what I'd spent before the web reworks.
I've documented every bloodpoint spent on two killers from P0-1 to P3-50 All perks. Plague comes around 1.4 to 1.5 million bp, lvl1-50. Nemesis at 1.3 to 1.4 million.
Even at these numbers, I get told they are high compared to what others have done.

Did it get worse? I stopped using them after that first huge nerf a month after they came out.
Its 4s right now.

Legion mains would love a 2s stun over what they have.

@FellowKillerMain said:
Said they acknowledged the grind, except after releasing ghostface they reworked bloodwebs to make the entity more punishing, which hasn't been reverted.
They've also made it more difficult to get BBQ & Chili.
wdym by more punishing? Overall the cost of level 1-50 has gone down, levels 2-4 have perks, and level 40+ allows two perks per web. While this is not enough to erase the massive grind, its still better than it was.
-
You're painfully trying to kill survivors to get even better survivors next match.
-
You get out of bed to play DBD? 🤯
-
A kernel level anti-cheat? No thanks.
Yes, EAC is kernel level but its not always on even when you're not playing like vangard.
-
Ever been chased by a killer when Tinkerer prompts? Not much changes. Chase music pretty much takes the place of the terror radius. Red stain hiding is already widely used so survivors are already adapted to not relying on it.
-
As far as having a really high ceiling, Blight, Nurse, and Hag.
I'd place Huntress and Billy at the same level. They have a very high ceiling but there is a limit to what they can do.

What the other guy said is incorrect, the wiki get all of their newer icons from the devs, according to the wiki people. You can't just use them, unless you give credit. Have a look at some of the files on it.

The wiki grabbed them from the game files. As long as your using them in thumbnails and such you're fine.

Hit feedback is client side while hit validation is server side. Thus the desync.
With pallet hit validation, I didn't mind it too much. This is because the pallet stun breaks the chase and gives you time to assest the situation. Dead Hard validation on the otherhand does not break the chase and thats a problem.
If BHVR wants this type of hit validation then the Hit Feedback also needs to wait on the servers ruling. That way the killer doesn't receive false information. Its going to look janky but the problem with false feedback is worse in comparison.

Issue I've seen, from playing both roles, survivors just give up the moment the killer gains any momentum.
Two survivor games yesterday my teammates ran to the killer after being unhooked. DC on first down (with 1 gen left btw), and killed themselves on hook.
My first Huntress game, after two hatchet hits the entire team but one Bill start jumping in and out of lockers. Killed the 3 and let the Bill get hatch. Bill was the only one trying to play.
Yes, I've also had a couple killers DC when the game wasn't going their way. I find those amusing and other survivors are also laughing in chat. When a teammate quits/DCs the game doesn't end. In my view, three survivors just got the shaft because one couldn't take it.
If you're not capable of toughing out hard matches them don't play.

This is like that time the Overwatch devs blamed the community for Brigitte.
"You guys wanted a counter to mobility heroes!"
Yeah, but not a healing tank with a 200 damage burst arsenal, because that kills mobility heroes AND everything else.
Likewise, people wanted Pinhead, but not with NFTs attached.
But NFTs aren't attached. You bought the DLC through Steam, M$, Sony, or Nintendo. Nothing in DBD has NFTs attached to it. Furture skins, voice lines, none of it requires you to buy an NFT to have.

the new dead hard punishes nurse the most because it's easy to dead hard from her blink and she has 1 chance every time and she has to eat through a dead hard and then catch them before they get it back. i had to slug to get wins
Thats dead hard in general since the cooldown.

Yeah. That doesn’t give you the right to blame the community that is asking for licenses. You were also using unrelated arguments.
And it’s more than just a drop. And of course the is more and worse stuff. No one argued against that. Doesn’t mean NFTs have any right to exist in this form.
I blame the community for constantly wanting every IP under the horror genre. Every deal BHVR makes won't be one sided. There are things that license owners will want in return.
-
People are still playing her. So the nerf didn't have the desire affect.
You need make sure it works this time.

Whether it was in the contract or not is rather irrelevant because BHVR willingly and (presumably) wittingly signed said contract, meaning they made the decision to do that.
As for your question of 'Do you want them to ######### on the license holders': Ultimately, yes. They should come forward and say that it was a mistake to engage with the NFT market, they should apologise for it, and promise to never promote NFTs again.
This whole situation would've been fine if not for those two tweets endorsing Boss Protocol. What BP does with the models and keys provided as part of the licensing deal is their business, but BHVR actively endorsing NFTs is where things crossed the line into being a problem.
They promoted a business partner. This might surprise you, but sometimes businesses have go infront of the Press and shake hands even if they hate eachother.
Best you are going to get is that tweet saying no NFTs in DBD. If thats not enough then I suggest not supporting them further.
Not everyone shares this moral outrage some of you are displaying. I'm sure plenty would be upset if Hellraiser gets pulled less than year after release.

The community didn’t know the Hellraiser license would only come with NFTs. And many people would have probably been okay with not having this specific license if they knew it would ######### up the planet like that.
you can’t blame the community for this after we have gotten all other licenses without NFT scum.
Yeah, if only NFTs weren't a thing the planet would br saved. Sorry, but its a drop in the bucket.
-
Its punishing to the point that you are given false feedback.
-
Remove hooks. Down survivors automatically go to cages.
There, fixed.
