In general, I find some killer's lunges shorter than they should be. Either that or the server is screwing me over.

tbh since her add-on changes I find her somewhat alright. --- Though the removal of the burn mechanic kinda offsets that. She should have some additional counterplay aside from "Break LOS" - not least because theres a number of maps where its near impossible to break LOS.
Name a time the burn mechanic was a good idea and didn't end being thrown on a hook. 🤣
-
Because they don't want to try. They want a killer they can clown on. If the killer is good, theres no point in staying. And by killer I'm referring to all killers not just Wesker, Blight, or Nurse. If the killer can down multiple survivors before most gens are done or doesn't fall for stupid techs, survivors will DC saying they are not having fun.
-
Missing nothing. The intent between both is the sane.

And i asked to buff weak killers. But obviously you ignored this.
Blight is very busted killer. Same goes for Nurse. Both them need to be nuked.
For one, Nurse has had changes made. You won't be satisfied with any changes made there so why listen to you?
Buff other killers? Yes, but at what point will you start adding those killers to your nuke list?
-
So, you see 4 Blights and 6+ Weskers but say nerf Blight and Nurse because OP? Why even say how many of x killer you faced? You just want to nerf Blight and Nurse while giving stats that more people want to play Wesker. How does this make sense besides bias?

Why do people DC in the first place again?
How about address the issue first?
They DC because their feelings were hurt.

Don't take away my hope

Arguments For PC Penalties Being Removed:
Me and my feelings.
If I'm not going to win, why should I continue playing?
I will just die on hook because why should I be the first on down with 5 gens? At least with bots you'll get a teammate that will struggle for you. That way I can go onto the next match and most likely DC on.

how to kill a game
step 1
Step 2, make it so anyone can DC without penalty and be repaced with a brainless AI. At what point will people that want a PvP stop playing because most of their games turn into PvE?

BHVR can't change the game without permission from the community? Is that what you really think?
You misunderstand the point.

Makes sense.

You'll be surprised to learn I win a bit less than 60% of my games. At higher MMRs there are quite a lot of survivors who know how to actually verse a Nurse. It's even easier now after her last Nerf. Keep in mind some survivors where winning against Omega Nurse : she is far from that level of threat now. I presume it may be easier with add-ons but I don't like to use them.
The point wasn't about the Nurse though.

Agreed, but this could be the beginning of an idea of these changes. (Among others.)

I usually get compliments and offerings.

I don't imagine at least half the player base is made of masochists. The current game mode has still a long future in front of it.
Yeah, I usually get that too, but every once in awhile they complain saying I should of just killed them, I'm wasting their time, and that I'm boring.
-
Na, can you imagine what a 1%, 2%, or even 3% permanent speed boost would do to the game?

I had a match that Kate finished the last Gen, then Exposed status showed with Hex:Noed. 2 second later Wesker M2 injured Bill and down him.
I remember that I waited for the match to end, and he had Noed, not Rancor. Half a min later, a Hex was cleansed and Exposed was removed.
Did you get the sound or just the visual? This sounds like a bug.

No need for game mode
DBD needs to change. Kill all 4 survivors should not be the winning condition. Having fun with a somewhat "long" match should be. And theres plenty of changes that could be done to that
Winning condition is a pip. Killing all four is a condition set by the player base. In other words, bhvr can't change it the community has to.
-
I do this sometimes and every once in a while I get nothing but hate from the survivors.
-
Since I haven't seen a change in the patch notes, that is either a bug or you happened to have Rancor prompt in addition to NOED.
-
Back when addons were useful, they were wasted on survivors being bad, dcing, or giving up early.
-
Your prestige means nothing to the 9/10 killers you go against. The goal of most tryhard killers is to kill one survivor as fast as possible. If prestige meant anything it would be the killer tunneling out the lowest prestige survivor.
-
It's either being pushed or getting stuck in the pallet the rest of the match.
-
Had a Nurse moving faster than I would think the other day. Thought she was running double Iri due to her having 2 blinks but turn out just basic addons. Wish I had OBS up and recorded it.
-
It's not the killer it's the player.
-
You just need the 4k. It's been that way for at least 3 chapters.
-
Absolutely. To this day people will still defend Deja Vu by saying it's not a good perk. Survivor main are going to riot the day BHVR finally nerfs it.
-
While repairing a gen with other survivors, it will randomly explode.
-
Friend ran into a couple. Instant heal after being hit type stuff.

We love FOMO, don't we?
So they should just remove it from the store without saying anything. That way you don't feel fear but regret. Or nothing, not everyone holds value in these types of things.
Nothing last forever. Licenses expire and eventually this game will end support. Every cosmetic goes away as the last server powers off. Such is the fate of live service games.

The best is when people 99 the gate after the 4 killer perks are already revealed. Load in and see Corrupt. Sees Thana when someone gets hit. See Sloppy when they get hit. Hears Pain Res go off. Still 99s the gate in case of Blood Warden
It's not always about BW. Sometimes it's not to be under a time limit if someone goes down.
Now maybe that's more of a SWF thing when they can coordinate leaving. From my experience most solos won't bother going for saves with EGC active.
-
Killers mostly just hook camping. Survivors is brute forcing generators and making a mistake will cost us so we have to play efficient as possible.
I don't know. Sure sounds like the past 7 years to me.
-
Does it count if a Bubba doesn't get any downs and four escape?
-
I've never seen DH as anti tunnel. Idk where people get that idea.

DCing is never justified aside from irl emergencies. If you don't like the way other people are playing just suck it up. If the game is obvious L you can just throw yourself on hook. But dipping out at the start because you don't like the killer or the map or the fact that you got downed or you don't like one of the perks just throws the game and ruins it for the rest of your team. DC penalties are there for a reason
Even still, in a real life emergency would you take the time to close the game or rushing away leaving your character afk?
-
Cage can do both roles.

Stuff being worse before doesn't justify it being less worse but still bad now, especially given how much time the developers have had to address problematic things in the game, opting instead to create more problems with badly-designed chapters.
If survivors waiting at the exit for 2 minutes is somehow bad, how did you make it to the endgame without quiting the game forever?
-
@bazarama said:
I cant believe I just read:
"The hooks in this game favor the killer"
How?
You can sabotage them.
You can body block them.
A kill destroys them creating a dead zone.
What favour are you seeing?
They exists near where they fall.
-
Sure, remove the hitbox from hooked survivors. Makes it far easier to hit the survivors going for the rescue.
-
@TheWheelOfCheese said:
It's 2023 and survivors waiting until the last minute to leave still isn't reportable, nor do we have a concede button.
I lose faith in the developers more and more every day.
Its 2023, at least there is a last minute unlike 2017.
-
Devs gave survivors a perk to deal with camping and they abused it to annoy the killer instead of punishing a camping killer.
That is why you can't have nice things.
-
From experience, it's overrated and full of bugs.

There has definitely been a rise in the hard tunneling. The question becomes even if the game might be winnable is it worth the effort. Most of the time it isn't.
It's a shame that survivors feel that way when they are the first one down and DC before the blood is wiped off the killer's weapon.

CoH nerf wasn't that big of a deal ultimately. Making medkits take 24 seconds and nerfing every addon is what really hurt. Add to this killers proxy camping and tunneling even hard because "it's the only way to win" and it's not hard to see why solo-queue got worse.
IMO, killers have always camped and proxed at the same rate. The real problem with the game is the playerbase giving up or disconnecting in match. So many matches are winnable but are loss due to one survivor throwing a tantrum.
-
Survivors: Selfcare takes longer. Can no longer use Boons to heal yourself.
Killers: All gen regression perks have been gutted like selfcare.
Now what has really changed? Before Boons did you run selfcare? Because selfcare sucked even then. Face that survivors crutched on easy heals for awhile now and you're back to pre-boon gameplay. Same goes for killers btw. Many killers crutch on gen regression. Now they have nothing but Pop which is weaker than pre-boon Pop.
So what's the issue? The new killers? Do you really see them that often? See your teammates perks? Ha, I imagine lobby dodging on the survivor side to increase. Not running the meta or some random perks? Dodge, who wants to play with that loser. In the end of the day a survivor with good perks can still play poorly. BHVR can't program in a better person.

Stuff like ###### and ####### will get on a watch list somewhere.

Anonymous Mode is now available on consoles.
It was in the patchnotes. Maybe a mistake and not working, but was listed.

If it's not one it's another.

Next they want to prevent insta downs when unhooking a survivor. Why should a survivor take damage while unhooking anyways?
