Remember when all the survivor mains were going to quit when 6.1.0 dropped?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
They really really mean it this time.

I'm just sad that i'll probably never get the 'bless you' achievement now that boons are useless. Maybe another boon will come along some day.
Why is it not unlocked?
-
If you have to ask with CoH being the only one changed, there was no point to boons to begin with.
-
They killed Billy two years ago. This is just kicking the corpse.
-
Yeah, because thats what happened. There's a thread right now from someone thats just happy Hillbilly got changes.
-
Like I stated in another thread, this was asked for. People asked for Hillbilly changes thinking it could only be buffs. Well they were wrong.
-
Next we will complain about Legion.

Who was asking for Hillybilly nerfs, though?
People asked for changes. Assuming those changes would be buffs was their mistake.
-
An effective way of killing a meta is scorched earth.
-
Are you Nostradamus?
-
No matter the Killer meta, survivors are going to hate it.
No matter the Survivor meta, killers are going to hate it.
-
The Overzealous changes are a bit overzealous. Not only did they increase the speed bonus but removed the limit of usage. You can bless infinitely but only break five. Maybe with the CoH changes the Devs think players won't run boons?

People were asking for Hillbilly changes.

Empathy is a perk, not basekit.

Because at one time, long ago, the Wraith was considered OP.

127%? She's 118% (120 at best), most of the time.
127% with an addon (Prototype Rotor)
Base: 115%
Max Buff: +7%
Addon: +5%
Unlikely to happen but possible. It's like saying PWYF is OP.

Beast of Prey would at least make sense on Huntress if they fixed a bug thats been in the game for years now. When she was first released her Lullaby worked a bit differently. Firstly it was directional, meaning you could tell which direction she was coming from based on her Lullaby alone. Secondly, she would stop singing her Lullaby if ever she was chasing a Survivor, and would instead start breathing very heavily, similar to what you hear in the lobby.
I think that aspect of her should return, it was thematic and would make her synergize with more obscure perks like Furtive Chase
EDIT: Or her own teachable, Beast of Prey
You say bug, but they changed how the lullaby worked.

I always wanted to see a tournament with no restrictions. To show how broken some stuff is.
Basically what Depip did, but during that time we didn't have SBMM so many Twitchy/YT dismissed it.
I did find it ironic that after the first iteration of SBMM those same people started to complain about sweaty matches every game.
-
In a world where SBMM works, dodging lobbies would be pointless as the next one should be players of the same level.
-
Spine Chill used to work only when a killer was looking in the survivor's direction. During the perk reworks it was changed to only light up if the killer was within line of sight.
But some players complained claiming they were hard of hearing and Spine Chill help them play. With this the Devs changed the perk into what it is today. Lights up regardless if the killer is looking in their direction and added a gradient for how close the killer is.
The OP is correct. This was a straight up buff without the counter the original had. Though this change was just a work around. Now that they are adding the heart beat, Spine Chill should be reverted.
The new heart beat won't be as detrimental to stealth killers as the current Spine Chill as it will only work off the terror radius.
-
If the heart rate is linear to the killer's proximity then plenty of good hearing players will use it to track killers behind walls.
-
The Devs will do something once a big streamer threatens to stop streaming DBD.
-
Sounded like you did just fine. Because some baby couldn't take the L doesn't mean you did anything wrong.
-
In the mean time they should modify Shadowborn like they did Spine Chill.
-
I would like to see the same for killers.
-
Because we can't have nice things.

Killer is not entitled to 4K always with 100% chance. Not 50/50 as killer has more options and still great chance to get 4K just playing as intended and closing the hatch or look for the survivor. 80% of time when I close hatch I get the 4K anyway. Survivor just only get small chance to get invidual win/escape if killer closes the hatch. But in bigger picture killer still won the match.
It's not about chance. The killer could leave the hatch open and down the survivor before they can reach it. The survivor could find a key and open a clised hatch. It's not about what could happen it is what is happening.
Both players enter into a stalemate willingly. Both players could give up at any time. Escape or kill is not guarantted but is what both parties want.
-
It's called the abyss. Don't stare at it.
-
I remember a Dev once got involved with this community more. That poor guy. He was nice.
-
And the sound design was better pre 1.4.

It's 70% on killer and 30% on survivor. Killer would get 4K most likely even if he closed hatch so it's more on killer and 3K is already win even if the survivor manages to somehow escape.
No it's 50/50. There are no thresholds that grants a killer a 4k or a survivor an escape.
3k? Why does the survivor deserve the win? Because they outlasted the others?
Accept death? Why does the killer deserve the 4k? Because the team failed?
It's called a stalemate because both sides choose to continue. They are both equally capable of ending it.
-
For how long, the duration of the timer? What about OTR?
Also, because this is DBD, no collision doesn't mean aim assist won't target them. We learned that with OG Freddy.

Meanwhile if killer would closed hatch and killed the survivor and went to next matches he would earned 200K+ bp instead waiting 25+ minutes to get 1K bp...
And if the survivor walks up to the killer they get a little bit more BP for the chase and move on to the next match.
People keep putting this all on the killer when it's both parties being greedy. Either one of them can end the match at any point.
-
Never had an issue hitting OC skill checks. I've done so while running away at times. I'm not even one of those people that can consistently hit greats skillchecks.
-
Put on the two hatchet increase addons and go for point blank hits. Two hatchet hits on the same survivor does count as 2 hits (the chalenge wording could cause some confusion).
-
12 meters is about the size of shack. Where was the other survivor standing?
-
So it's ok for you not to give up but it's holding the game hostage for the killer not giving up? Yes, you could of done gens. In order for the killer to come to you they would have to leave the hatch or close it. Don't go crying victim because the killer wanted some extra points when you wanted to escape for extra points.
-
My thought, don't read too much into a survivor's prestige.
-
No, just more perks that speed it up.
-
Even SWFs don't have that kind of information.
-
How about 2 minutes and they die?

It's unhealthy because it's random chance though. That's the entire problem with it. You shouldn't have a random chance ever to have a situation suddenly out of your control. Especially a "skill check" not a "are you still on the interaction right now?" check. There's a difference between a survivor losing a 50/50 at a loop, and a survivor sticking to a generator until their teammate dies because their generator is 90% and they don't want it to explode when they leave to rescue. The devs have shown this can be fixed with us having overcharge skillchecks already in the game, and merciless storm allowing you to let go without it blowing up the generator. Why do killers have perks that wont guaranteeably blow up the generator, because survivors let go, but survivors have a random chance of blowing it up by letting go at any point in the game?
Edit: Especially a "skill check" not a "are you still on the interaction right now?" check.
Because you don't like it doesn't make it unhealthy. Messing up repairing a generator to which these characters would have no experience doing is completely normal. Especially if a monster is breathing down your neck.
The reason Overcharge stays on screen is because survivors would commonly tap a regressing gen before doing something else. Not having the chance to hit a insta skillcheck would have been seen as unfair.
-
@Vhillain said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3373556#Comment_3373556
Still yes, if it blows up it's a free 10% regression immediately before they have even kicked it. Does this matter on a gen with 15% progress? not so much. Does it matter on a gen with 85% progress? absolutely. Once again we're back to situations where you wanted to make the right play and got punished by a game mechanic that wasn't in the control of the survivor or the killer. Hence why it is unhealthy game design.
It would be unhealthy if a Dev programmed it in. But it's random chance.
-
It doesn't sound like a nerf to the ground.

"Don't let go until you've completed a skill check" yeah it does, they will get grabbed, your words, not mine.
"Does it matter if it blows up" is what I was implying.

Good idea. I'll be sure to notify the killer bearing down on me that I'm briefly indisposed and unavailable for a chase.
Does it matter at that point? Killer already knows where you are. Killer is just going to kick it anyways.
-
You are going to wait forever.
-
Ever since they up it to 2 million, there has been a sudden increase of players complaining about bloodweb spending.
