Badham, haddonfield, the game, eyrie of crows, garden of joy, swamp, guess these dont exist
-
people want to.... buff dead hard?
-
Zombies definitely do not need a nerf lmfao, people hate nem's tentacle, not the zombies that get stuck on a pebble.

Add in Guardian and go up to 117% speed so even normal speed killers will have a fine time. Might be the time for Boon: Dark Theory to finally shine to boost that escape velocity up to 119% and give normal killers that crazy 1% advantage :>
you know killers move at 115%, not 120% right? this will be fun

It doesn’t make sense, when every other loss of health state from any other killer in the game causes you to lose collision. Survivors probably should have an animation where they fight the zombie back and kill it after taking damage or being infected, to prevent lose-lose situations between Nemesis and the zombies. Seeing as zombies have infinite respawns too.
You don't lose collision with a zombie if you get infected. so worst case scenario run into nemesis, but it's kind of your fault if you corner yourself with a zombie in the first place

Give me back my gamer girl SONIC
-
You can't blame these people, Survivors have been spoon fed since the game came out, you can't just take that away from them and not expect them to cry

Dang, really remind ya the game has gotten worse over the years.
It definitely has not, the game was horribly unbalanced back then, if you see any building in autohaven, Macmillan, or corn that has boarded up windows, just imagine them if all of them usable and not blockable by the entity. That's just one of the problems the game had, among at least 10 other terrible things

I didn't play back then, but I kind of wish I had.
I have a migraine disorder and bright lights kinda screw with me.
Coldwind and Eyrie of Crows both tend to bring on headaches if I have to play too many games.
I've seen this weird thing in the custom game, an old offering to darken the map?
I would love to have seen how that worked.
Those were moonlight offerings, taken out because devs wanted to have control over map lighting
the ones that brighten the map were good for killers basically, but qol for everyone playing, the dark ones just made it impossible to find survivors lol, you can probably look up a video of old red forest with a new moon bouquet and you'll see why it was taken out
-
I miss old dbd, when no one knew how to play the game and actually hid from the killer, when nobody knew how easy it was to win lmao

Yes but that was released in 2017. Since then COH is the on,y perk to ever significantly change perk loudouts.
Witb this update not many perks have actually been made strong so it feels like the old meta is still being used
A perk that was released early 2017, the strongest survivor perk, was finally nerfed in the second half of 2022
you can still use coh, OTR makes you basically invisible as long as you aren't getting face camped, Lightweight is actually not a bad perk in chases, and we'll make it is even more viable now.
I've been using Prove thyself, overcome, we'll make it, and desperate measures to counter slowdown, and it works very well
-
Map design started getting worse and worse when they decided breakable walls are a reason to have loops be infinites beforehand
Just look at half of the loops in the game that have breakable walls involved, wretched shop window, corn silo, why should these pretty solid loops be broken by default? if anything, survivors should have to work and maybe build the walls instead of having killers waste their time to make chases do-able? And to top it off there are walls that make loops WORSE for killers if you break them? Keep them in DDS please.

Don't talk to me about "balance" when you have Nurses and Blights running rampant, and they actually even are considered "skillful"
Now way you said blight doesnt take skill 💀
-
How is thana the first slowdown perk people think about when there is still a very real heal meta? how is it not gift of pain, or sloppy? or eruption??
Also spirit def doesnt need a nerf, and only blights addons need a nerf, cmon use your noggin now

Clearly they aren't scared of making survivors strong if dead hard was in the game unchanged since 2017
Killers finally get a sizeable buff for the first time in 5 years and the foundation of the world collapses lmao

"Dead Hard did not need a nerf"

This may be just a small problem but while Survivors can't see the killer's name, the killer can see the survivor's name and eventually streamsnipe as many lesser known ones have a "ttv" in their name. So just to make things a little more fair regarding this, Killers should only see generic Survivor names like "Dwight" or "Claudette". If there are multiple of the same characters it's just "Dwight 1" and "Dwight 2".
As I said, this may not be a huge problem, but it's annoying for streamers when your round is ruined because the killer always knows where you are
Edit: I suggest generic names and not just disabling them so you can still have somewhat of an overview of who you hooked
Just don't have ttv in your name lol, that doesn't get people to watch your stream it just tells them you get less than 100 views and they can stream snipe

@PatchNoir said:
overcharge just needs to give an actually hard to hit skill check, lets be honest, it isnt hard to hit a centered on screen clockwise skill check
Honestly, with it being Doctor's perk, I wouldn't mind giving it his effects by default. Would probably be horrible with him though lol
-
I kind of disagree with the new map part, because eerie, haddonfield, garden of joy, all have atrocious totem spots that aren't hidden in any way, and exist just to be boon spots.
Honestly, a fix I can see actually happening is making the totems actually hidden, and not in the middle of a road surrounded by nothing. Totems just should not be in loops or on top of gens, aren't they supposed to be hidden? In all honesty they should be in the border loops on the edges of the map or wedged INSIDE of walls covered by a bush or something, anything is better than just tucking it in a corner of a loop. Survivors should have to actually find it instead of seeing it while going to their objective.

ok
about overcharge though, I knew the perk would be nerfed cause it was a little stupid with others. I think it will be fine personally cause it still has that impossible skillcheck check that will take off 10% which takes off 9 seconds of gen time. But if they leave it the gen will regress a lot. I’ll have to test it and see
Impossible? bruh

@EvilJoshy said:
I haven't played in awhile. What is coh? When I see that I think circle of healing but that isn't what the topic is talking about.
I typed CoB, Call of brine, a sadako perk that, when you kick a gen, makes the gen regress 200% instead of 100%, and lets you see when survivors hit skill checks on it
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
I think it would be fine if it went to 300%
That or have the speed of the skill check be a lot higher the further it gets to maximun
I'd be fine with this, making the skill check harder would synergize with itself pretty well and might actually make it not a totally worthless addition

I'm unsure of the wording. Is it 100% speed at 12 seconds, or is it that after 12 seconds it would have regressed the same amount as if it was regressing at 100% speed the whole time?
It will be 100% regression rate once 12 seconds hit

600 % was way too much regression. They did a good job on toning it down. Sure, if you only want to run COH. It's the better option. But it'll mostly be amazing for stacking overcharge with COH.
You only get 400% after 30 seconds, also if you're really scared of 600% after 30 seconds, they can make it so it's value diminishes when used together or something, as of right now, the perk is dead without the use of another perk, which isn't good design or a good strat
-
@BrokenSouI said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/333890/actually-incredible-dev-update-but-overcharge
Because you pair it with COH.......? It's still strong as hell. Do you want 200 % regression. Or 400 %
Right, but this isn't a spirit fury enduring thing, these are the same perk but one is garbage lol. they should keep it at 400% if they want they 75% regression nerf.

She needs a ground up rework, but nurse mains will whine that their win button is gone, so they're only likely to nerf her if change her it all. If she has to keep her blinks, then she needs any combination of:
1. She shouldn't be able to blink through objects on her second blink, or maybe just in general. Maybe increase her speed to 4.4m/s if that last part is done, but I'd be very careful about buffing her in any way.
2. Her blink attacks shouldn't be basic attacks. Nurse doesn't need perks, let alone instadown perks.
3. She should be stunned by a pallet if it's dropped while she's going through it.
4. She needs every add-on gutted, as she has one of the most busted selection in the game.
5. Longer cooldown/recharge time on missed blinks.
But all of these are patchwork changes. Nurse's base kit cannot work in dead by daylight, and fundamentally breaks the rules of the game. There's a reason why she has one of the highest DC rates out of any killer. She needs a change, and ASAP.
So just make her blight with no addons and slower movement speed
-
A lot of people in the comments can't dodge and their very loud about it
-
He's easy to win against and interesting to verse, what's not to like?
-
If you're worried about getting basement trapper'd, dont go down near shack, just run away, and let your team do gens if trapper does camp
-
I think a lot of people forget that when you're HEALTHY, you make more noise then when you're INJURED with IW. When you're healthy you still breathe, and when you stop running your character is out of breath for a few seconds. When you have IW, the only noise your character makes is footsteps, that makes a lot of sense huh? Thank God they're nerfing these perks I'll gladly sacrifice ruin and pop for these things to go away :)
-
If you think being able to see the killer, or the obsession permanently, is almost useless, you must be new, there's a reason besides bp why every killer runs bbq or tinkerer.
-
Key's are not useless at all, addons exist.
-
All of these perks reward bad play, bt allows you to turn a mistake (farming) into an advantage (bt body block), ds allows you to waste the killer's time if you feel like it, and don't say it wastes your own time too because, even though it technically does, the killer's time is 4 times as valuable as yours. UB once again gives you a reward instead of a punishment for getting downed, don't say it stops slugging, yes obv it does but you can also pick yourself up if people are trying to pallet save etc, last time i checked thats not slugging.
All of these perks basically allow you to not only make mistakes for free, but turn your mistakes into rewards, kinda like noed huh
-
Been wanting a swapped fov setting at least in kyf since 2016 lol. Why would anyone be against an optional thing? For kyf ofc since killers would be stronger technically and ppl would seethe.
-
They really should just make them a survivor side objective to build them somehow, since they can make some loops awful, but at the same time there are some loops that get STRONGER if the killer breaks them so lol.
-
The only thing hexes truly need are to be hidden in places that survivors shouldn't actively be around, so not in loops, at a rock near a gen, probably not hills because those spots are awful. They should be hidden around undesirable places like the border "loops," and almost always should be nestled into something, like how they are in Dead Dawg. If the totem's protection is supposed to be that it's hidden, then I should not be finding it by looping the killer or going to the gen.
Maybe the "undesirable" idea might be much, but at least have it be nestled like dead dawg.
-
probably because its a completely free hit that survivors don't need in the first place and his power gives him an advantage in that case? it's not like he left you.

All of those bouquets, all of those old map offerings. I'd never touch that either. Mikey's just going to have to live with the perks he's got.
another reason why i dont play him lmao

Drop everything he has rn, make him run at inferno difficulty speed.
-
You would think, because they themselves don't even play the game, at least not both sides, they would listen to a source that actually does, maybe not the entire community, but at least well known streamers and top players. But instead they all play one side, usually survivor, get destroyed a few times and come to the conclusion that it wasn't their fault for losing, It was the killer being too strong, or the terrible team they had, not being strong enough.
After that instead of trying to see what they could have done better in that game, they have the power to just change the game so they don't have to adapt. If they actually knew what was wrong with Billy, they would have only changed his addons, in fact they would have only changed the charge and cooldown ones. But instead they decided even though the community is fine with a non-instasaw billy, and even though they themselves said they think he is perfectly fine as he is, Nerf his BASE KIT, and make literally all of his addons besides 3 worthless.
On top of that there are addons for new billy that literally do not change his power. There are 2 addons that have to do with flashlights. This would make sense, to compliment his teachables, Such as resistance to blindness after being hit by a pallet (enduring) But lightborn literally prevents being blinded in the first place and they literally JUST MADE IT THAT WAY.
This game could be so, so legendary, if just one, just ONE developer played the game at least 10 hours a week. I can't wait until they nerf Wraith too by making his bell shatter if he uses it too much.
-
Wait, the game actually is letting you grab?
Amazing, I'll grab survivors off a gen or a pallet an it literally kicks me off the animation. Feels like roadhog from overwatch when you clearly hooked someone and they use a deflect or teleport half a second after.

What’s the bug? You could try @‘ing one of the devs to get their attention or dm one
A bug where you just dc for absolutely no reason, nothing to do with internet the game just decides you quit the match. You get penalized, and it can happen at any time. I would dm the devs but they have an entire thread about this in the bugs section that's pinned and I made the error of assuming they actually read it.

It can occur at any time it seems, this one happened at 5:24
DeadByDaylight.logThis has been happening for a few weeks now and I can't take it anymore, 30 minutes is far too long for something I didn't even do and I bet if I play again it will be a day or something.

You get a penalty when you leave in any way mid match including power outages. It's to prevent people just flipping their circuit breaker or unplugging router.
I'm aware of that, I just find it strange that only dead by daylight went "offline" even though my internet was still up and even dbd didn't give any kind of internet connection warning

I think I just saw it on steam and saw gameplay of it on youtube, me and my friend got it around a week after it's launch before nurse was added lol

ANOTHER tier of perks? The grind is one of the biggest and most criticized issues in the game. We don't need a whole other tier of perks.
This is an awful idea. Tiered perks should be removed, not made into more. At the very least, once you hit prestige 3, only tier 3 perks should be on the bloodweb.
I have never heard of perk tiers or grinding being a large issue in my soon to be four years of playing, lol.
Higher tier perks would be nice, but only on kyf at least for a long time after they get introduced, and maybe if they add game modes that could be one of them.
As for prestige rewards, maybe for what tier prestige you have, your teachables get upgraded to the next tier, so either tier 1 still has tier 1 perks and tier 3 gets tier 3 perks or tier 1 upgrades it to 2 and tier 2 gets the tier 3s and nothing changes at prestige 3. Another way, which is probably much easier to add in, is to just open up the perk slots without reaching a level, so tier 1 opens the second slot, and tier 3 opens all 4 slots instantly.
There actually is a reason to prestige too, you get better rarity items in the blood webs, like green and purple addons instead of brown and yellow and i believe it gets better depending on the prestige tier.
Also would love to see a prestige 4 that changes certain things like killer powers for the killers and maybe what items look like for survivors? It would not be the easiest thing to make but it would still be amazing to have skins and bloody variants of hillbilly's chainsaw or wraith's cloak/decloak sizzle thing.
Ok that's enough of that lmao
