The lighting, the bloom, the mist. The world was very dark, but there are many sources of light so you don't feel blind (hello today's Autoheaven). This is what attracted me so deeply back in 2016.
DbD today is beautiful in its own right, but, personally, the old graphics, in particular lighting, didn't need significant changes.
I didn't play back then, but I kind of wish I had.
I have a migraine disorder and bright lights kinda screw with me.
Coldwind and Eyrie of Crows both tend to bring on headaches if I have to play too many games.
I've seen this weird thing in the custom game, an old offering to darken the map?
I would love to have seen how that worked.

Two matches in a row... somehow I was the first Survivor to get tunneled while getting unhooked in the Killer's face repeatedly. Before anyone says it, I'm not annoyed by the fact that the Survivor's might have been very new to DBD. My issue is that not only do you lose all of your items, but DCing two matches in a row also stacks in terms of time penalties. Why exactly would I stay in a match where I basically died in the first 2-3 minutes and haven't even done anything?
I agree that the DC penalty is bullshit, but not for this reason.
When the game decides to randomly kick me from the match (my internet is still running strong) and it gives me a DC penalty, I understandably, get a little salty.
When the whole game crashes and I have to relaunch the program, and it gives me a DC penalty, I am highly frustrated.
If I have decided to intentionally ditch a game because the killer is being a c*nt, I will happily eat that DC penalty, because I agreed to that ######### when I left the match.

I don't get why people are complaining about this so much. If you as the killer, have gotten to endgame and the whole survivor team is still alive you deserve to lose. You are not entitled to a kill because you can stand in front of the hook lol.
There's already tons of uncounterable endgame escapes for survivors, and it's barely something people complain about on here. The solution is to not let it get to endgame unless you have an endgame build.
If I, as the killer have gotten to end game, and everyone is on second hook, I will take as many deaths as I can manage.
If someone else, as a survivor, has made it to endgame and is still alive, it doesn't mean they deserve to escape.
I know you weren't talking to me, but your comment annoyed me.

Every time a flashlight goes on, it should drain 25% of the base charges. Clicking solved, blind attempts throttled, item still has a use.
What then of the survivors who use it as a communication tool while solo queuing?

It defies logic. They could play a non-toxic game and earn double or triple what they do when camping but they choose toxicity instead. It just goes to show how large a portion of the community just plays to be toxic and cruel. I just don't get the mindset of people that take pleasure out of others’ pain. But no one can deny that many killers have this weird tendency to ‘roleplay’ as killer so that they can’t be sportsmanlike while playing killer… they have to be ‘evil’ on the meta level and try to hurt the actual players. Until the devs actually start punishing toxic behavior this will persist. It would be easy to punish camping and tunnelling more but they choose not to. And they could let survivors at least leave these toxic situations by surrendering in some way but instead we get penalized for DC’ing. I don’t know… this game is amazing when it’s played right but seriously, seriously awful when played with toxicity. I hope I didn’t break any forum rules by stating what I think is the truth here. If I did, I guess I’ll find out… Good luck enjoying the event everyone…
I'm having some games where the killer seems to be farming, and other games where we got slugged out at 5 gens with 5 flans played.

Yes, you can keep contributing to the community goal even after your personal goal has been achieved.Correction: Your contribution is capped to your personal goal. Apologies!
Can I just say I personally think that the cap of how many an individual can do towards the goal is b*llsh*t.
40? I did that in 3 matches.
It should be 100 or more if we're really expected to hit that high of a number.

Don't judge her. Maybe she likes the pain 😅
In the God forsaken realm of the entity, you gotta find joy and pleasure wherever you can. 😆

If it messes up matchmaking then please add some penalty.
What then of the people who are dodging specific players who are always toxic c*nt survivors?
I'm not eating a penalty for the sake of my mental health.

Twins should be reworked so that victor is an ai like the zombies. She'd be so much better and much less annoying to go against
If Victor was an AI like Nemesis's zombies, there would be even less people playing them. It's so much fun to play AS Victor.

I’ve played a pretty sizeable amount (50) of survivor matches since tome 11 came out, and I have yet to actually see a single Twins player
Is this the same for anyone else or are am I just getting lucky?
I'm a twins main.
I've also gone against like 4 or 5 twins players so far.

Sure sure. Now please show us your legion gameplay against GOOD SWFS who know how to play the game. And getting a 4k while employing your strategy of no 2nd hooks until all 4 are hooked. NEVER camping, tunneling, slugging.
I need a good laugh at seeing you get tbagged as they 4 man out with you having maybe 3, 4 hooks tops
I don't go against "good" SWFs, because they are above my MMR.
After like 4 or 5 4k's, I tend to start letting everyone go so I can keep my MMR low, and continue enjoying the game.
If you're seriously playing this competitively, that's your problem, not mine.

Tunneling is the only way to get a chance to win as a killer
Camping is the extension of tunneling (exept for toxic players but cant really do anything about this, bt ds exists for that and they are already uber powerful on nob camping killers aswell)
These are the symptoms, not the disease
Try nerfing second chances perk and make killers playable instead of them being punchbag for survivors
The game shouldnt feel more stressful as a killer than it is as a survivor. You play as a killer, not a kid with a stick
I see this a lot, and I don't understand. Just last night, I got multiple 4K's, I don't tunnel or camp. In fact, most often, I actively won't second hook anyone until everyone is first hooked.
I play survivor almost as much as I play killer, and so I use my knowledge of the survivor role to get inside their heads, and mind game them. But I also use that knowledge to give them a good game and ensure they get more than 10,000 bloodpoints for their game.
Yes there are some games where you get absolutely stomped, but there are other games where I have 8 hooks at 5 gens, and I'm just going to stab and run for the rest of the game.
I main Legion and Twins for what it's worth, and yesterday I was vibing with Legion's changes.

I never saw the old Balanced Landing, but in my MMR levels, I actually see Balanced Landing a fair bit...

Ah yes, all we need is more killer strategies on how to make the game unfun for survivors. If people could just play the game without being 4-Letter "C" words, the game might have higher ratings.
I wish a very merry abandonment to everyone who plays like this all the time.
