Learn to take a joke. Especially about an absolutely meaningless topic like food preferences.
Learn to take a fact. "Especially about an absolutely meaningless topic like food preferences." Joking or not doesn't change what I said, so whats the issue?

I meant when he's caught up to you, and dropping a pallet on him isn't exactly a viable option in most scenarios. Plus the legion could just fake out the pallet or stab through it because the lunge is extremely fast. I don't think I've ever actually been stopped by a pallet as Legion.
Your first mistake was being grouped against a legion, your second mistake was letting him catch up to you. "extremely fast" is a bit of an exaggeration, its slightly faster/longer, 15% in fact (afaik). I've stopped many legions with pallets. So your third mistake was missing the stun. Its not going to happen every time, but it is by no means a difficult task.
Considering the power is non-lethal, this is more than fair.
-
Because survivors cried and once upon a time Legion lacked counterplay. They weren't strong mind you, still a horribly weak killer, but they had no counterplay.
So the devs hit them hard with the nerfs and never looked back. He could really use having some restrictions lifted.

To reward the survivor for successfully dodging a Feral Slash. A 4 second stun can be a bit harsh, but I think it's fair considering that fact that there is basically no way for a survivor to counter Feral Frenzy other than trying to dodge and hoping you miss.
Run in a straight line away from him, if you're a killer shack or more away when he starts chasing you you will get away 100% of the time. If he has both duration add-ons, about a killer shack and a half. He's really not that fast, pretty easy to avoid if you know what you're doing even a little.
Also drop a pallet on them. "Basically no way" is not even close.
-
They're rank 10-20.
On a different note, the fact that most people play survivor when they want an easy or relaxing game is definitely a problem. Neither side should have it that easy.

Optimize consoles pls.
Nerf/change Spirit and Second chance perks (such as DS) pls.
Buff the weak survivor and killer perks.
Totem counter when? On that note, solo buff and killer buff when?
Remove survivors getting info on a bunch of killer perks, they should have to learn the game not have it fed to them, like the other side does.
For the love of your players sanity, please remove the "slightly, considerably, ect." and just give us the numbers. I shouldn't have to rely on looking almost every add-on up and hoping someone has the data to see if its worth using or not.
Fix the gen times/map design pls.
Buff/Rework Legion and Clown pls. Move on to other killers after.
Fix the game design so tunneling is not the optimal strat anymore.
Fix the MMR/Ranking/Emblem system.
Remove hatch, change keys and change moris. EGC starts as soon as 1 survivor is left. Killer can open the gates whenever they want in the match to start EGC early. Gates always spawn apart.
Stop complaining about camping, just do the gens. Rate the survivors as a team to the one camped gets credit for the time they saved.
At the very least say you intend to do these things and are working on it or that you're not going to (I know some of these things are being worked on like Clown and MMR). No one like being in information limbo, a no is better than silence. Just a few things on my list :)
-
Nope, I was going to get the PH sword, but I can't get just the sword, so I just didn't buy anything. I didn't like the whole outfit, I just wanted the 1000 degree knife. Have not bought a single linked set, and I'm probably not going to.
-
I'm hearing everyone picks Laurie for stronger DS.
On a more serious note, no I don't think this would be good for the game. Its bad enough players have to go through the grind on each killer they want to play, having to do that for survivor too? No thank you. Not to mention the huge balance issues it would cause. The game is poorly balanced with just one side being unique, imagine both sides with one having a potential 4 different powers.
-
As much as Myers annoys me to play against, Iri heads are on a whole other level.
-
It's very much designed to be casual imo. Once we get into competitive things like meta build, multiple second chance perks, Spirit/Nurse, actual good players, ect. the game falls apart and becomes heavily unbalanced.
Its a casual game with competitive players, kinda like Smash. At least that's my view on it.
-
Console had a LOT more survivor than killer players (killer on console suuucks), I'm not surprised at all that you guys are seeing a lot of console survivors in your lobbies.
-
Remove hatch, have egc start as soon as the second to last survivor dies or if no gen progress or chases happen in a long time span. Keys work on exit gates and open them faster or instantly after all the other gens are done. Remove mori's, have killers be able to mori anyone during egc as a base mechanic.
SpaceCoconut just did a video on this topic, sounds like some good ideas.
-
Play a different killer.
On a more helpful note, you're relying on the survivors to stay near each other to use your power, so the best thing to do is learn when you can and can not chain hits. Besides that you're really just an m1 killer, so generic perks that are good on everyone are good on them. You hear people talk about Thanatophobia a lot, but I don't really think its worth it with how low the numbers are and I've had much better results without it in favor of a better perk.
Bamboozle is fun as it does speed up your vault, including pallet vaults, and blocks the window too so they can't just jump back over during your stun. Monitor is nice for information (Killer instinct tracking is based on TR) and getting an easier first hit, but remember your effective range when using it. Again, generic m1 perks also work.
If the survivors stay spread out even a little you pretty much don't have a power. If a target is moving away from you in a straight line and they're more than about a killer shack away (at base) you're probably not catching them, but enjoy the 4 second stun :)
Although if they just stand around while you run over to them you might catch them, and that's more common than you might think.
Half the add-ons are not even worth using, don't wast your BP on any of the extending range add-ons (unless you're trying to do some Dark Devotion memes) or the 2 purples "franks Mix-Tape" and "Stab wounds study" they do practically nothing. Most of the pins are pretty bad too except maybe the one that inflicts broken. You want duration, mend time, and stun/fatigue reduction. The 2 rulers are ok too while you look for something better. The best are duration by far and the iridescent button if you want.
You can try running in front of a survivor to body block in your frenzy stun, but its really situational. It is only a 15% increase in speed so you'll need a pretty big gap between you and the next thing you can block. If you see you're near a pallet and not already in frenzy you can force the drop then frenzy over and hit them anyway. Although if you can't chain afterwards the 4 second stun is only .6 seconds faster than getting stunned and breaking the pallet (4.6 seconds iirc), so it might be better to just break it if you know no one else is around, as they can jump back over during your fatigue.
If you lunge as your frenzy runs out you'll keep the speed for the lunge and get a little extra distance during it. Be patient with your frenzy swings when you can, its better to wait a second and hit than to swing miss and get the stun.
There's not too much more to say as far as I know, Legion is a fairly simple killer, they're just pretty weak.
-
If they tweak DS in one of the many ways people have suggested maybe. As long as it ends up in a non-abusable state I don't care if you give everyone unlimited DS. The problem right now is that is hits people clearly not tunneling at all.

I honestly think a lot of things are called toxic when they're not. Toxic would be anything done solely to agitate, such as teabagging, not escaping when all survivors are out the doors, hitting people on hooks etc.
Stuff like camping, tunneling, gen rushing is NOT TOXIC. They are all just methods people use to succeed in the game. Yes they can be frustrating to go against, but they are strategies imo.
This 100%.
Camping is not toxic, gen rushing is not toxic. Camping is a strategy and so is gen rushing. Gen speeds are a balance issue as well, sometimes what appears like gen rushing is just the dummy fast gen speeds.
Twerking, clicking, hitting survivors on hook, ect. are toxic because there's nothing to gain, and can even hurt your chances in some cases. The only purpose is to try and annoy the person on the other end.
-
Absolutely not, Spirit is one of the easiest killers I've ever played. Her also being one of if not the strongest killer is absurd with how easy to play she is.
She really needs to be adjusted.
-
I never thought of this perk as a slowdown perk, it does that job horribly imo.
-
They need to be made secret if they're going to stay. As they are now they are survivor sided, swf or not. Oh I see the offering? Ok if I'm last I'll just get downed across the map from the hatch. Killer wont make it in time, free escape.
Should probably just be removed, but I cant make 2 votes.
-
Did not expect these result given how much I hear him complained about. Pleasantly surprised, guess its another example of the loud minority.
-
Not a big fan of Jason. As far as I know he's basically buff zombie with machete.
-
Buff my boi pls, rework his add-ons at least, why are at least half of them trash, especially the purples. Was a hard choice between this and nerfing Spirit though.
-
She has way too many strengths for that alone to fix her. Just because you know she's phasing doesn't actually do much since she's still dummy fast, still has ears, still has post phase speed boost, can still see scratches, and is still invisible.
-
Another hook stage would completely defeat the purpose of the change. You have more than enough as is with current match times, that's part of the problem.

Uh... What perks have had their synergy nerfed? I'm genuinely curious, I cannot remember a single killer perk nerf except Ruin, Hangmans and Gearhead, and they never had synergy with other perks to begin with.
They nerfed Thana because they were scared it would work too well with dying light. This happened when they were reviewing Thana for a buff because of how weak it was, and they made it weaker as a result.
-
I don't see why the killer being a thing now would impact the skins at all. They are just skins, they could easily just say it was from before he went deranged if that becomes an issue, or that he just stabbed them anyway.
So we'll probably get more imo.
-
I don't think this perk is amazing or anything, but Thana just has such abysmal numbers on a situational perk that it's generally not worth using over other perks.
So in other words while this new perk is not the next meta setter or anything, Thana is so bad a lot of perks will look better by comparison.
-
Fake the drop, dodge the wave. If he reads the fake, drop the pallet on his big ol head when he tries to swing.
Know which pallets he can aim easily at and which ones he can't, drop the ones he can't early if he doesn't plant knife, or again, fake it.
Windows are harder, you just need to remember he can't shoot the wave instantly and there's a cooldown if he cancels his power. So either before or after he can use his wave you have to vault.
It's a big prediction fight in favor of the killer (as it should be), but nowhere near Spirit levels where it's too much. Once there's a pallet or window in the way his wave can be dodged pretty easily and if they keep trying to hit you they'll waste a LOT of time, so your main objective is getting into that situation.

Do gens, break NoED at endgame, profit.

If we had an unranked mode sweaty swf would always play in unranked as a bully simulator. Believe it
disable it for SWF then.

I think he's going to be fine. I can usually chainsaw 2-3 times before worrying about it. You just can't be like "ha ha chainsaw go brrrrrt" like before, have to be a little smarter with it.
-
I think it would be fine on small game the same way Thrill of The Hunt has one. I don't know about base line.
-
Usually I just hook them to get the match over with and move on. If I feel like they had a really rough game for whatever reason, I'll let them get hatch or the gate.
Although you never see survivors give you a kill for having a rough game, feels bad.
-
Killer is more challenging. Survivor is more about getting lucky with teammates. If you get potatoes yeah its gonna be a pain. If you don't it's pretty easy unless you're facing a Spirit or something.
-
I don't think it was healthy for the game to have Billy chainsawing constantly until he found someone or to just camp 2 hooks at once. Overheat was needed. Maybe they could have buffed other areas to make up for it, but I don't think its really going to affect him that much. It still takes a while to build up heat in my matches. You have to be smarter with your chainsaws now and not just be like "ha ha chainsaw go brrrrrrt" the whole match.
If anything hurt him its the add-on changes, which were absolutely needed.
-
Spirit. If you have a decent head set and high volume you'll kill even great survivors. Playing as her feels so unsatisfying because I know there's not much the survivors can reliably do :/
-
got really burned out with the the last rift and I just don't want to play DBD in its current state. Hoping they fix it soon.

"Allowing players to team up with their friends from other platforms was the first step to break barriers between platforms. We know that some of our players are active on several platforms, and Cross-Progression is also one of the top wishes from our community.
We are thrilled to announce that we are preparing the first steps toward Cross-Progression and that it will be available for Steam, Google Stadia and Nintendo Switch in September! Players will be able to share their progression, purchases, and inventory on those 3 platforms – Exceptions might have to be made to accommodate for some external licensing needs.
As of today, we cannot make Cross-Progression available on other platforms and we have no guarantee that it will happen. However, we know that this is a community wish, and we will keep trying to make it happen."
my mistake. Haven't kept up with this game too much lately with the mess it is rn.
-
If people don't like what they see, they should be able to dip, on both sides. I don't see the point in putting people in a match they know would be frustrating for them. While something like seeing which killer it is would be too much for balance reasons, seeing ranks doesn't seem too bad.
If someone is rank 15 and sees rank 1's in their game, they should be able to just nope out. If matchmaking was fixed it wouldn't be needed though.
-
None of these are good generally, Nurses is good on a select few and Thana just has horrible numbers. Sloppy, while not great, is the best of the bunch presented. Would recommended finding other perks.
-
Old ruin was a gamble and only worked on players who could not hit greats or find it quickly, but it was the only option to maybe help against the dumb gen speeds. They just took it away without giving any alternative to help with the problem until the pop buff, and even then its not amazing. The main issue needs to be addressed in the core of the game. Hopefully it will with the early game collapse or whatever that they're planning.
-
As far as I know, ATM we don't even know if we're getting cross-save. We just know we're getting cross-play, which is not the same thing at all.
-
What do you mean by "best" though? Strongest? Funest? Best designed?

@Opex said:

Usually OP means "Over powered"
Contex dude, OP can mean "Over Powered" or "Original/Opening Post(er)". and both are used frequently. Same way DS can mean "Decisive Strike" or "Death Slinger". Either way if you read the post fully, they further specify what they mean and even use the phrase "opening post".
-
Hatchress if you're good with her.
For the average Joe Shmoe probably Death Slinger.
-
Yeah a small dark key on a dark background can be hard to see sometimes, especially on the darker survivors or cosmetics. Not to mention if you have a smaller screen than average or something.
Easy fix would be to make the key red or white or something, just not the black it is now.
-
The only restriction Unbreakable needs is being unable to be run with DS.
-
Yeah survivor ques on console are enormous, I average around 15-20 minuets per lobby. Killer que might as well be instant.
-
Survivors play how they want killers play how they want. People need to stop trying to force the other side to play the way they want them to, especially if they're not willing to do the same for the other side, which most aren't.
Run DS, BT, Unbreakable. Genrush, loop for too long ect.
Run NoEd, Spirit, Freddy, Camp, and Tunnel.
If something too strong, nerf it (Ds, Spirit), if too weak buff it. Made up rules different for everybody that basically ask the other side to not have fun are never going to work.
-
My opinions on the whole matter.

You've got it backwards, killer queue's are 4-5 times longer than survivor queues. Buffing killer more isn't going to do anything but make that worse. I do agree things can always be tweaked for better balance. Lord knows the servers still have a long way to go. I hate bugs as much as the next guy, but I don't know of any that are currently positively game breaking. Playing lobby simulator for 10 minutes to get matched against seal team six is the biggest bummer for me. If it was instant, at least I could quickly move on to the next game.
I've played a lot of times from early in the morning to past midnight, my killer ques are at most 2 minutes while my survivor ques are minimum 10 at a good time. As far as I know most people deal with much longer survivor ques. Some areas/times have it flipped but I believe its mostly longer survivor ques the community is dealing with as I've seen much more complaints about survivor ques than the odd killer que complaint here and there. There's not enough people playing killer, especially at higher ranks, and for a lot of people that's because they don't want to play the more stressful/frustrating and weaker side.
