Isn't that the point of perks? To hinder the opposing side to prevent them from performing too well? Jesus Christ.
By your logic Pop is also a perk that punishes well-performing survivors. Is that good? Yes, that's the point of the perk...
And no, the DS not-going down in a chase is a bad idea that will be exploited. Remember legion, and moonwalking to not be in a chase so deep wounds would go down? Yeah.
-
Because it's almost impossible to get 4 iri emblems as a survivor. The requirements are: not being downed ONCE during the entire match AND being chased by the killer for a long time, while also having time to do gens and unhook people. Seems pretty busted, that's why survivors only need to escape.
Killers? Well, it is kind of unfair compared to the survivor, but achieving 4 iri emblems is much more possible. Hard, but doable..
-
The main problem with this is that the first survivor has to be stupid enough to get to that room. This would only work on brown ranks..
-

"Just bring DS lol"
You have to be pretty trash or have pretty trash teammates to only last 3-4 minutes for 3 hooks.
You have to be farmed off all the time, no borrowed. Trash teammates then.
Wraith counters Borrowed Time, FYI. No matter if he was farmed or not, if the killer proxy camped he could easily tunnel the unhooked survivor. With or without DS, because Wraith has the bugged stun duration.
-
Play a survivor match where there is no obsession. Then you will see if DS causes tunneling, or the lack of it.
-
Yes, it's a bug
-
Only if his terror radius is "Spooky scary skeletons"
-
I dunno, the hair in this set is quite long and would probably clip through other Kate's outfits. And the dress - well, it's a dress.
-
Pretty bad. But it's because the game is assymetrical - there are many people who only main one side and don't bother playing the other and then you have two toxic circlejerks that want everything to go their way. Pretty sad, really..
-
Did you wait for your friend to be fully sacrificed, or did you finish the gen right as he was hooked?
When the survivors get placed on their third hook, you need to wait a few seconds before they are officialy "dead"
-
Your insidious would be too OP, it would make all the other tracking perks redundant. Two seconds is way too little time to see all auras like that. But I like your DS idea, though

Killer is not the power role in the game. Lets stop that there. Rng is the power role in the game. Hell survivors have more power then killer. Sorry but 4 places at once. So many good loops. Tons of second chance perks. Able to abuse perks way easier. Yet complaints about killers being unbalanced Secondly you contradicted yourself. "Who takes calm spirit to counter one killer". Yet you claim the only counter to spirit. A 110% movement speed killer. Who can be mind gamed in her phase walk by not running like an idiot. Or hell urban evasion or fixated. Or loop chaining and double backing to prolong the chase is a mediocre perk called iron will and this causes for outrage and a nerf and hundreds of forum posts a day about spirit needing a nerf? Okay.
Wow, big shocker incoming - the killer is the one who sets the pace of the game, so that makes them the power role. Right? And the RNG does not matter, because it can favor either the killer or the survivors.
And yes, Iron Will is the only counter to spirit as of now. If the spirit has a decent headset, then there is no counterplay at all even with Iron will, because they can hear your footsteps and grass very clearly.
Stridor erases the only counterplay to her. Tell me, do you really think Spirits with stridor and at least two braincells will fall for doubling back, walking away or crouching, when they can hear you at all times? No, they won't.

You say Spirit and PH don't require skill yet I see baby spirits/pyramids get stomped way harder than babybillys or babydoctors.
Also, people keep saying killers take no skill.....but sad to say all I see is survivors taking no skill these days. I often feel like I'm playing against perks rather than people.
Can't loop but has sprint burst to add an extra 20 seconds to chase, can't predict killer mindgames but has dead hard to get distance back, then of course there are all the times you get cucked by all the second chance perks, DS, Unbreakable, BT, Adrenaline, Deliverance etc
There are baby spirits and baby PHs. So what?
If I face a god-like Trapper who places traps in the best positions and catches everyone in them, and then I face a baby spirit who didn't get a hook the entire game, does that mean that Trapper is a better killer than Spirit?
And I never said killers don't take any skill. Spirit and PH require little, others require more dedication. And as long as tunneling/camping is an issue, then DS/Unbreakable (along with the overpowered side-effects) will remain the meta.

Spirit and stridor? Iron will cant counter it. So im asking you. Do you just want survivor perks to counter killers? But not vice versa? I mean biggest example is calm spirit and doctor.
By taking a perk you are making a gamble, because you don't know who you will be facing - who runs calm spirit just to counter one of the possible killers, anyway?
And if you happen to take Iron will and get lucky enough to face a spirit, then you gain a small advantage, because spirit is still a very good killer even without sounds. It is not direct counterplay. Stridor though, is the counterplay to the (much) smaller counterplay. And because the killer is the power role in the game, it makes that unbalanced and overpowered, because Iron Will is THE ONLY counterplay to spirit. I am fine with spirits who don't run Stridor.

You see, those are expressing that perfect gameplay doesn't exist and with every killer you're be sooner or later forced to make a prediction on both sides which will usually be killer sides to an extent. You'll rely on killer misjudging his distances, misaiming his power or something like that. Claiming that killers like spirit or PH don't need to predict what survivors will do is silly since they do. All killers need to make predictons just as much as survivors.
PH is guaranteed to get a hit on a window but only if you allowed him to get close enough. At that point half the killer roster can guaranteed a hit if they have time to hit you with their power.
Survivors also get better over time and will try to predict the killers' predictions too..
And the thing is, Spirit with stridor and PH don't need predictions, because they are guaranteed to always get a hit. With spirit you just need a basic headset and with PH simple common sense. No skill involved.
-
You are using terms like "god tier curves on billy", "Doctor's perfect timing" "Perfect dashes on Oni". Yes, of course, if a killer masters a chosen killer, then of course he's gonna stomp a lot of survivors. All those killers have counterplay if you don't know how to play against them, though - you can just pre-drop pallets. You are wasting resources, yes, but you can actually survive for a longer period of time.
Most stealth killers can be countered by just being observant or just by running spine chill. There are also tactics that counter a lot of killer powers.
Spirit and PH? You don't need a lot of skill to play them well. No need to master them, like the other killers, because they have the most brainless powers.
PH is ALWAYS guaranteed a hit if he fakes his power on a window. No counterplay there. No mindgames you can apply.
Spirit, if running stridor, also has no counterplay. Even Iron Will, the only perk that remotely counters her doesn't help at all.
-
But it's much more dynamic now.
Before it was not even worth using, because it took a lot of time and it all came down to luck on which hooks you 99% and which you didn't.
Now you can use it quickly and you can often deny a hook entirely
-
The problem is all killers must have the same hitboxes, and a dragon is rather big :/
The closest thing to a dragon that we could get would be a reptilian. That would actually be very cool
-
It's a confirmed bug, but if I recall correctly only some killers are bugged and the rest are working properly
-
Post this to the bug section, then..

If you don't get a debuf you'll get less chances to get skillchecks. Don't see how that's a negative
You're joking, right?
-
Or just make it so that you don't start out with a debuff.
You should just start at a 0% bonus and earn +10% bonus per token.
Perks are usually supposed to help you and not give you debuffs.

By that logic i should just d/c against any swf with OoO and toolbox stack.
I personaly think its better to stay and try to improve against such build rather than dodge a hard match.
I think it's much better to learn playing as survivor by playing regular, balanced matches, and not ones where the killer demolishes your entire team in 2 minutes and after you get placed on the hook you are practically dead because you will get moried as soon as someone unhooks you.
And I definietly see dcing against a 4 man SWF with OoO as ok as well.
As killer, you have a much easier way to "dc", though. Lobby dodging.

Bubba doesn't need Noed. :) They have Insta-Down built in.
He does, but still - it's much easier to down someone with NOED. And the 4% speed boost also helps
-
Proxy camping? It's acceptable if there are gens nearby or the killer knows survivors are in the vicinity.
Facecamping? No, never OK. And people who say "iTs a VAliD sTRaTEgy" are simply wrong. It was never intended to be a strategy, because the emblem system punishes it. You lose points for doing that - but its a small penalty and facecamping killers probably don't care about that - its not penalized enough.
A facecamping bubba is almost guaranteed 2 kills if he runs NOED. If someone is less experienced or plays in solo queue, then they probably will try to save the hooked person instead of doing generators and that in turn gives bubbas an easy 4k.
-
If you think Myers has no real counterplay and is high tier, then you probably are not that experienced, because he's a pretty bad killer.
And of course, some perks work against some killers better, but you can't predict who the killer is. I won't waste a perk slot on Calm Spirit just in case I get a doctor, nor will I use small game just in a tiny case I will get Trapper.
And no, people don't complain about Pyramid Head's trenches, people complain about how faking his special attack always guarantees him a hit. And there is no real counterplay to that.

The difference is it removes an entire game mechanics - finding the hatch,
hence the title: Brain Dead,
or did you not read the title coming here thinking im talking about key is more op than mori?
Ok. One last time.
Knowing where the hatch is always benefits the killer more than the survivor. If this offering is used, you can predict where the hatch will spawn. If you think a survivor with a key is going to camp the area, you can just slug - and because you know exactly where the hatch will spawn then you go there and that's very good, right? Without the offering, you can't know where the survivor with the key is hanging around.
If the last survivor has a key and the hatch is closed, then that's a free escape for him anyway, because you need to patrol the gates. Play doctor or run whispers if you get annoyed by these things.

and then what, you know where the hatch it, close it, and he still open it with a key?
who gives a fk if the killer saw the offering and know where the hatch is when theres a key.
or you want to camp the hatch? they just open the gate.
Yeah, and? That is how it worked even without the new offering.
The difference is that if the offering is used, you, as a killer are also aware where the hatch is. Without it, the survivor may be the first one there and not even have to use the key.
Keys and moris are busted. But don't tell me the new offerings help survivors, because in truth they actually help killers.

left behind only works when you are the last survivor, and take away 1 perk slot.
now a common offering can get your whole party out and completely stronger than a perk?
your argument just further proves why this is wrong
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1606313#Comment_1606313
No?
doing gen is not the only way a hatch spawn.
Well yeah, the only other situation is when you kill a third survivor. Then you can just go straight to the hatch after you hook the third person, no?
-
You need to do gens to get the hatch to spawn. If you sit in a locker the whole match then you probably won't get enough gens.
And killers also see the offering too. If you ask me, then this offering is much more useful to the killer.
And lastly, no. Moris are way more powerful than keys.
-
Dead Hard buff - "Press the active ability button to make the game freeze for 30/35/40 seconds"
-
They both do not have a terror radius, so at least there's that
-
How is closing the goddamn hatch toxic? #########?
-
I guess it depends on the rank you're playing in. Legion is just a noob stomper, and at red ranks he's one of the worst killers.
And please never say "baby daddy Frank" again. Please??

Well from what I'm reading is that she can be difficult to go against because if the person is not using iron will then a player with good headphones will hear them more right? So wouldn't the best option would be to fix sound and make it lower for people wearing headphones so that they don't have a big advantage when playing spirit?
Sadly that would be difficult to implement because the game would have to distinguish between headphones and speakers and even then you could just crank your headphone volume up so that it would be back to normal.
The best fix would be to just make it obvious when Spirit is phasing and when she is not.
Alternatively, just switch her power so that she sees blood pools instead of hearing survivors while phasing. Would be fair and the hemorrhage effect would be useful for once.

You are viewing the survivors as a single unit. When in reality not many people think this way. Do you honestly believe the 2 survivors that escaped are thinking "oh darn, we drew because 2 of us died"? Hell no, they are thinking they won, they beat the killer.
Okay. By the same logic the two survivors that died also think "Oh darn, I lost, I hope I escape the next match". And what? I bet the survivors who escape would be happy and the survivors who die would be unhappy. Doesn't change anything at all...
That is why, and I say it for the nth time, OBJECTIVELY the survivors should be viewed as a team. And if only half of the team escapes then it is a draw. Capiche?
-
@MeatBycicle said:

For a draw neither side can win or lose, survivors had 2 winners.
Well, survivors also have two losers. What about it?
-
@MeatBycicle said:

Because survivors view themselves as a team when it benefits them, such as SWF, yet they also want the 1v1 against the killer.
I can tell you when I play solo queue as survivor If I can save my teammates great, if I was the only one who escaped great, I beat the killer and could care less about the other survivors. I won, I pipped.
Now of course every killer won't think this way, or even care. However what I am saying is overall, the "draw" rhetoric only benefits survivors. It does not benefit killers at all.
If as a killer you work your ass off against 4 ds, 4 adrenaline, 4 borrowed times, and 4 unbreakables and you barely get 2 kills and 2 survivors escape. Those 2 survivors won, they beat you, that killer does not think that was a "draw", that was a loss.
Again. Subjective opinion. If you escape in solo queue, good for you. But if two other survivors die, then you AS A TEAM have a draw.
And as killer, you are the type of person who thinks the glass is half empty, don't you? Let me tell you, if I got two kills against a good team with 4 DS/unbreakable/BT, then personally I would see it as a WIN, not as a LOSS.
But then again, that's only my opinion. Objectively, looking at the game's perspective, 2k/2e is a draw.
Subjectivity vs objectivity. It's all there is to it, really.
-
@MeatBycicle said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1601225#Comment_1601225
I doubt any killer thinks oh cool 2 survivors escaped and probably pipped, good draw. Those two survivors who escaped 100% view that as a win for themselves, they could care less about the other two survivors who died because they themselves won and beat the killer.
I'm not saying every killer deserves a 4k, I'm just saying the rhetoric of 2k 2 escape is fair really isn't. It is only fair for survivors, killers gain nothing from this.
Errr.... Alright, let's put this another way. The survivors are a team consisting of 4 players, the killer is a team consisting of one player. If two survivors escape, and the killer gets 2 kills then each team completed half of their objective. Sounds like a draw, doesn't it?
This situation is OBJECTIVELY a draw. If a survivor thinks they won because they escaped or if a killer thinks they lost because they killed only 2 survivors then that opinion is SUBJECTIVE.
If we went with your logic though, the 2 survivors who lose will view it as a lost match. If two survivors "lose" and two survivors "win", then what does that give you?
And lastly, why would you care about a singular survivor's opinion, anyways? Survivors, as a team only win if 3+ survivors escape.
-
@MeatBycicle said:
2 kill 2 escape isnt balanced. Those two survivors view that as a win for themselves, not a draw. The killer doesn't view that as a draw its a loss. 2 kill 2 escape only benefits survivors.
Then when is there a draw? Half of the survivors completed their objective and the killer completed half of his objective. Seems balanced to me.
And what you said is very subjective. The devs say otherwise.

When you ask for the nerve, knowing that speed is less efficient for me it is a penalty (I'm talking about the future, not the present). If you don't have a nerve, it's not a penalty. I'm still waiting to find out why people wanted to nerve the Spirit ?
Because she requires very little skill to easily win and get 4 kills every time and with stridor she has none, absolutely ZERO counterplay. That is why.

@mostlyghostly said:
First of all, I'm gonna ignore the games that were played by otz and ayrun, because the survivors there were clearly not good enough for tournament play. However, the first 2 games, the second in particular, show how unbalanced this game is.
In this game, the end result is a 2k/2 escape. The thing is, the killer was Volga playing as nurse. So immediately we already have a very good player playing the best killer in the game and they can't even manage a 4k against these survivors. Also, the survivors even 3 genned themselves and still managed to get 2 escapes.
The nurse also had to camp and tunnel to even get their 2 kills and managed to get lucky with a 3-gen.
This is why tournaments can NEVER be killer vs survivor and have to be teams of killers and survivors, like in hexy's tournament
And uhhhh, the devs said a 2K is a result of a balanced match.
So that shows the opposite - a good killer facing good survivors gets two kills - what's the problem here?
-
If you didn't notice, the two best killers (Spirit and Nurse) have lowered speed. Why? Because they have other things going for them, it's not a penalization.
Even though the power lasts 5 seconds, you still can traverse a huge distance using it very quickly.
Neither Spine chill NOR Iron will will help you if the spirit has stridor. It's a guessing game where the spirit has 90% of winning. The only thing you need is a perk and an okay headset. And bam, easy 4K every time.
It's nurse that requires skill and talent. Not spirit.
-
The real question is, would the certain German leader be a survivor or a killer?
But speaking seriously, I think the "realest" character they could add would be Jack the Ripper. Would make for an interesting chapter

what?

The idea is very cool, but how would the exits look like?
