Learn the game basics? Lmao i play since the beginning , i'm sorry if i had many matches where i didn't get moried , i never complained about moris ; and just for your information , going trough the hatch doesn't make the survivor lose emblems points actually but mori makes the killer lose emblems points because the emblems system is more favorable to survivors , know your role .
If you think you counter moris by "each survivor taking the killer" then I really doubt you know the basics of the game. Maybe you didn't realize, even though you "played since the beggining", that it is the killer that chooses who he will chase, not the survivors. And the case is that most killers tunnel off of the hook if they have a mori. So I'm assuming you are just trolling.
And no, it's easier to get emblems as the killer, if you play at least decently. Try getting 4 iri emblems as a survivor, alright?

You lose emblems points too.
Mori can be countered too if the survivors actually thinks (i know that's hard for them) just if you're premade each survivor take the killer and just don't lose time on gens.
Moris also make you lose emblem points. On an even larger scale.
And if you think moris can be countered consistently, then either stop trolling or learn the basics of the game. Cheers.

You don't find mori in a chest. You find key in chests.
And no, you can't dodge lobby with a key. Not when they swap to it the last second.
And how often do you find keys in chests? Not very often, right? And even then, you may not even have a chance to even use them during the match.
Moris, however, can always be used and are much more common in matches than finding keys in chests.
There's also Franklin's Demise. Just pointing it out.
-
You can dodge a lobby with a key. You can't dodge a lobby with a mori.
And no, just because someone escaped by hatch (with or withou tthe key) does not mean you get "bullied". That means you would've won the match anyway, and the real downside is just you losing some bloodpoints.
-
Empathy only shows injured survivors' auras, it doesn't affect survivors in the dying state in any way. Knockout is working as intended
-
Yamaoka Estate has breakable walls, Sanctum of Wrath doesn't, at least from what I remember
-
Please teach me your ways, because whenever I run Devour Hope the totem spawns right next to a gen and the hex is destroyed within the first 30 seconds of the game.
-
Not funny, didn't laugh
-
I am not sure if this is a joke, but even Buckle Up would be better than this perk..
-
Unbreakable is in a good spot, doesn't need any changes.
It's a perk where the killer literally chooses whether you'll be able to use it or not. Not to mention it's a very situational perk.
-
All the killers have the same lunge.
Compare Oni's massive katana to Mr. Scissorhands, and you will understand why he has an only seemingly longer lunge.
-
I like them, they bring a little element of strategy for the killer. On the saloon for example, some walls are better left unbroken, and on Badham, like you said, you can trick survivors and trap them in a dead end.
And the animations? They look very nice as well and Freddy's is definietly the best for me
-
Well aren't you a dramatic person..
-
Ruin and pop don't go together. I'd switch pop for STBFL, since Doctor is an M1 killer

Spaghetti code.
If that's the only reason, then BHVR should just hire new programmers. It's not a small company anymore..

"They can literally just copy and paste the algorithm they use for Oni, change the variables a bit and it would work just fine."
I see no reason to assume it would be that simple. "Flawless made up code" isn't going to make that convincing.
Alright then, so maybe it's your turn now - tell me.. what possibly would NOT be simple about adding a dynamic mask? Especially for a team of experienced programmers?
-
Myers has the best addon design in the game, though, so I don't think so.
I agree that the purple tombstone is a little busted and should be nerfed a little, but the iri one is fine imo

Pseudo code does not carry any merit unless it is actually based on something. Anyone can make it look simple if you present it in pseudo code.
"If (PalletStun) = True
Set (LegionFace) = x_X
Else
Set (LegionFace) = :P"
Saying "it is easy" and posting made-up code talk is the same as saying "it is easy" and presenting nothing.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1630372#Comment_1630372
...how does one analyze an algorithm that is entirely made up for the sake of a discussion?
I mean, the algorithm is universal and is so simple that it would work if implemented on any programming language. They can literally just copy and paste the algorithm they use for Oni, change the variables a bit and it would work just fine. Trust me, Oni's power has nothing to do with the way the cosmetic algorithm works. It's literally just an if else statement.
And if it IS difficult to implement (or in other words, if the code is made out of literal spaghetti by a high school student), I doubt it would be much of a problem for a company that hires professional programmers, now would it?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1630039#Comment_1630039
Why exactly should I trust that what you are saying is that simple?
Because it IS that simple.
Analyse the algorithm and you will see no flaws. It just works.. It's so straightforward it's stupid.
-
I think for survivors it will be Meg and Ace, just like in the current tome, and as for killers I hope it's Oni and Legion.
-
Deathslinger is OK.
It's PH and Stridor on spirit that needs to be looked at.
-
Here's a fix:
Drop the survivor and pick them up again. Then you will USUALLY be able to hook them.
-

I mean, Oni has the ability to change parts of the model and whatnot baked into his design from the start. This is just a guess with no real basis behind it, but I imagine giving a skin the power to change design contextually would be something that would require change the programming on a Killer to allow such a thing without breaking how it functions with every other skin (including default).
I mean, adding a mask that changes expressions is high school level programming..
The algorithm is very, VERY simple.. the game checks if the player uses said mask, and just displays a different animation on each event, like pallet stuns.
My bet is that they are just too lazy to add new mask models, especially since the skin will be free anyway.

The problem is there is no reason for me to get stunned just because i did well. Why should survivors get free escape because i did well?
How do you feel if you loop the killer for one or two minutes, and the moment he hooks you, you immediately go to second stage because of a killer perk? Your team is winning the game, and that should not be a problem?
When you replied like that, you have basically already admit it's not an anti-tunnel perk. So not tunnelling does not counter the perk.
You did not do well, your power is just too overpowered. The chase revolves around two tactics. Brute Force and Mindgames. Small loops require brute force, bigger ones you're better off mindgaming, or else you'd lose much time. And mindgames revolve around a win/lose situation. If you fail a mindgame as killer, the survivor has the upper hand, if you succeed, the survivor is yours. Basic mindgames will confuse most average players, and your power is still there to help you.
PH eliminates all of that. There's no mindgame, you will just always hit. It's not you doing well, it's you playing an overpowered killer with no counter.
And I still rest my case that DS is an anti-tunneling perk. I try not to tunnel in my games as killer, and I only get DS's every 5th match or so..

Sorry for being forced to play that way from the devs. I guess ill just sit in a corner all match and take out all of the fun out of the match because it's all my fault that you are having a bad time, not because you are bad and refuse to get better. No it's everyone's fault but me.
Oh please, mr almighty, please tell me how to get better against a killer that proxy camps and tunnels you right when you get unhooked, and how to play against that without meta perks, because no looping skills will help you there. Play survivor sometime.
@RizeAki said:

I mean you could get good a killer only gets to tunnel or camp if you or your team are bad
Besides that what does a free dodge for not looping correctly, a speed boost before being hit, a heal and a speed boost with no counter, and more have to do with camping or tunneling?
A bubba with noed will get 2 kills on average if he face-camps. And if any killer proxy camps, and no one has BT or DS, then no matter how good you can loop, you will always die no matter what. But sure.
And what you described are exhaustion perks. They are something every survivor should have in their build. I was talking about the non-exhaustion meta perks. And anyway, adrenaline is a very good perk against tunneling and camping too. When it gets activated when you're on a hook, that is.

The reason it's possible is because the timer starts after the survivor is unhooked, so you could have hooked a dude up to a bit less than 2 minutes ago and they could still have ds the next time you down then. And they'd still have 2 hook stages (counting the third hook) left before they die. 3 minutes if their teammates decide to not touch them until the last possible second before they died.
Oh, right. Forgot about that xd
But most hook saves are rather quick in red ranks anyway. And as long as a survivor is on a hook, you have a lot of pressure as killer, so no real downsides there

Literally every day
Then if you are so scared of DS, you can just use a stopwatch. I really doubt you can pull that off in 60 seconds, and even then if you did, it probably took more than 40 seconds. And guess what? UB takes around 20 seconds to pick yourself up. Just wait it out. If you're scared, that is.

Trust me, it's more often than you think. It is very much possible. If survivors have medkits and we'll make it, they can literally heal a survivor under hook in few seconds. It's not rare to see them working on a gen nearby, and you proceed to down them because you're better player, and get DS.
I literally eat DS in almost every matches as oni because you can down people fast with your power. So guess what? All pressure you build when you use your power are all gone because of a single "anti-tunnel perk"
If you won't believe me, watch Otzdarva, or some other streamers that literally play this game as a job. They eat DS all days, and they're not tunnelling.
And why do you bring up PH? Do you feel so sad that your DS and UB combo won't work on him?
Then if you are massacring the survivors so much that you can pull all that off in 60 seconds, then I doubt a 5 second stun would be much of a problem. Would it? And if the survivors decide to quickly heal under the hook, they are more than likely to be together anyway. Just chase the unhooker in that situation?
And believe me, streamers tunnel too. Rarely, but they do. And even if Otz eats DS in matches because he is so good, then that, like I said before, doesn't change anything, because Otz wins most of his matches anyway.
And I bring up PH, because it's the killer side that is the most unbalanced now. PH should be looked after before any nerfs to DS/UB.
And lastly, I play both sides, and when I play survivor I never use DS/UB. But as I'm playing more and more matches, I can easily see why so many people run it.

... i hook a guy, go away, hook another guy, come back down the healed 1st guy that's working on gen, got DS.
You see the problem? Did i tunnel? Have i done anything wrong that i need to be punished?
Oh really? How often do you hook a person, find another person, chase and hook that person, find the person that has DS still active out of 3 other possible survivors, down the DS person and pick them up, ALL WITHIN 60 SECONDS? Yeah, I figured as much. You're just finding excuses at this point.
Besides, it's ironic - you have a Pyramid Head on your pfp - a killer that currently has no counterplay in a chase. Well, let me tell you - DS has counterplay. Unlike PH.
-
That's the main problem with him - that can't be countered.. that's why many people want to nerf him.
You could try using dead hard, but apart from that theres nothing you can do :/
-
It's because people will remember the more negative encounters rather than the positive ones and then they will have a reason to complain..
I play both sides too, and I always appreciate a post-game chat where both sides can be nice and say gg and good luck, regardless which side I'm playing
-
Survivor meta will change when camping and tunneling is not a thing. Period.

I can hear them out in the open.
Well I don't know then.. I don't seem to have these issues (I'm playing on PC btw). Maybe adjusting your sounds or headset could help. You could also run stridor, I'm guessing.
-
No one's stopping you from running NOED. Ruin and undying is very (if not too) powerful as well.
And you really should stop parotting Scott Jund so much. It is way too obvious that you watch his videos. These builds are not even a problem if you don't tunnel not to mention DS is bugged on most killers..
-
What if they were using Iron Will or Off the record?

A health chapter wouldn't bring an immediate injection of cash, which is the real reason why they won't do it.
Yes, but how will they retain new players and make them buy new DLCs when they see the game is riddled with bugs?
Making a health chapter would be a very good investment as more players would stay and buy auric cells/dlcs and would make the playerbase very happy. I see no downsides

Ummm... no. There are no SIDES, nor does everyone complain. A vocal minority of people insist on complaining. The Fun House Mirror that is a Forum makes it look like the whole community. Most people don't complain or comment, and think doing so is a waste of time. I don't complain about Survivor or Killer Perks, or what they build, or what tactics they use. Why? None of my business. I have enough to do with worrying about myself. IMAGINE how fun it would be to come to this forum and read some posts that aren't full of whining, whinging, endless complaints, and blaming others for one's own failures.
What do you even mean by "There are no sides"? What.
And no, the forum isn't the only place people complain. Countless youtubers, streamers, players in the endgame chats, content creators and even my friends show that.
And I bet you must have tons of fun being 1 hooked and camped by a bad killer with noed, or being gen rushed by a 4 man SWF with meta perks with an Ormond offering. Very fun indeed. You may not care, but many players concerned with the game's health do.
-
This is the mindset that makes both sides run DS/Unbreakable/BT and Corrupt/Pop/Noed.
And then guess what? Both sides complain about the other, because they DON'T HAVE FUN themselves going against these meta builds.
Imagine how fun would it be to run some gimmicky perks and builds without the fear of losing miserably to the other side, just because you didn't bring the necessary meta perks. But I guess we shouldn't care about others' fun, right?
-
Depends on the killer, but personally I really like Make Your Choice. You could also run a slowdown perk instead, like Corrupt or Pop.
And as for leveling, you should level up Plague, she has 2 very powerful perks
-
When I play a match that is not a complete sweatfest, and where both sides can meme a bit and just chill and have fun.. Pretty rare, sadly
-
It's not that you're using it, it's HOW you're using it. If you sprint into a corner to self-care each time you're hurt, then that's VERY bad, if you use it reasonably, and prioritize gens over healing, then it's ok.
And believe me, Kindred or Bond is much better for healing purposes. You gain a lot of additional info from these perks and see teammates that can heal you.
And please, don't self-care against sloppy butcher. Just don't.
-
You should post it to the bug section i think
But yeah it's pretty weird and I hope they fix this soon
-
The problem is totem spawns are ridiculously unbalanced.
On some maps the totems are right next to generators or sometimes even right in the open. You can even spawn right on a hex totem.
And then you have maps like Lery's/Midwich/Hawkins... Good luck finding all the totems there without Detective's hunch.. no knowledge of totem spawns will help there.
-
Cringe
