  • Jeff and David, I like both of their lore and cosmetics alot! Also I'm British and so is David so he gets bonus points for that.

  • For Killer I gotta agree that Legion has a great variety! Billy has lots of cool ones too, I like his hunting outfit with the rabbits and his beach outfit is funny!

For survivor, I'd say Dwight because he has a lot of good ones which are unique. David's getting some good ones recently but until he gets some shorts he won't be #1 in the cosmetics department πŸ˜…

  • Considering WGLF gives you a stack for untrapping, flashlight saves ect. I think it should also give a stack for saving from a cage, especially since the perk has literally no benefit within the match itself. Other perks I understand but I think an exception could be made for WGLF.

  • I normally struggle finding downed people with the sound so without it was impossible when it happened... Glad they finally worked this out!

I wonder if now that it's gone from a bug we can expect it as a survivor perk in the future πŸ˜…

  • I do hope in the future prestige rework devs may consider a 2nd prestige set of cosmetics, for the additional outfit they come with. David, for example, could get prestige for his foggy day jacket, trousers and battle mullet. Feng could have her cardigan and bun become bloody, ace his tuxedo and so on.

However, considering not all characters have alt outfits this wouldn't really work unfortunately. Considering some David cosmetics that aren't prestige feature blood, maybe we could see similar outfits for other characters in the future? Or perhaps prestige variations of popular cosmetics could be available in future rifts, instead of a colour change. Not sure if devs would see that as devaluing prestige or not, but something to consider either way!

  • I dislike this idea, however I would suggest instead the idea of first person when in lockers perhaps. Would make grabs scarier and be more immersive. There's actually some glitches that have made this happen and it's pretty cool!

  • I like Family Estate quite alot as both killer and survivor, Ormond is pretty cool too as it is fresh. I wish the tractor-esque snow digger it had originally would be reincorporated somehow, that was a cool tile!

The scenery and detail on The Game is cool too which makes me like it a little more than other indoor maps.

  • Gotta put a list of most content creators I watch because I like them all for different reasons I wouldn't personally pit against eachother!

Noob3, JRM, DiewithLivv, Puppers, FarmerJohn, Ussylis

  • Great choices, so exciting to think that in the near future some of these will likely become a reality πŸ˜€

  • Yeah, Jeff is one of my mains and is often forgotten, but that makes it more enjoyable to main him in a way. Finding another Jeff is a truly special experience that should be cherished!

I feel like they'll get alot more recognition when they are featured in the Rift lore. I'm still hoping Jeff's story includes his dog! You could do alot with Jake's lore, too, it really depends what the theme of the tome is and what direction they want to go with.

  • Maybe not for killers as it could reveal them too early, but just in general it could be cool. iirc basement hooks don't have charms so maybe they could be enlarged and dangled round the basement?

  • For Survivor I main David and Jeff! Claudette is probably 3rd most played because I like her cosmetics that I own (rift 1, p3 and hallowed blight), but I do occasionally play most of the other survivors when I feel like it. For tome in particular I'll play whoever has the perk I need and adapt accordingly.

As killer, Trapper and Doctor. However I often play as others if I feel like it that day, for example I mainly played Clown for the first half of killer challenges in tome 3.

  • I do really like the idea of addons changing the gas clouds! Would also give information to observant solo survivors who can't have the addon effects called out to them when the first person is intoxicated.

  • Calm Spirit makes this not work so it has counter play and is completely fair and balanced πŸ˜›

  • Yeah I agree it's pretty sad when you go and there's nothing at all (and so many empty levels for anything!), but I guess they want you to feel like that in a way. I agree that even adding +100 shards per empty level could work, it would add incentive while also making the characters / perks more accessible if not yet bought by newer players.

  • I remember 3 games in particular with cool survivors, obviously there's been many more but 3 stick out.

A halloween 'fake legacy' Claudette protecting me and guiding me around when I was new and levelling up Nea, was very cool!

A pair of temmates, a Jane and a David iirc, I was playing Adam. Hooked in the basement vs a huntress, she goes upstairs and reloads, so the David runs down and unhooked me with BT. Huntress goes after me, because of fast cooldown after the hatchet hit I thought I was a goner but Jane was waiting by the shack pallet and threw it down behind me, saving me!

A Quentin who I'd previously played against as killer and had fun against complemented my cosmetics as David before the game started. We were fooling around during the trial, flashlight clicking eachother ect. There was a funny moment where I was bodyblocking him cleansing a totem, I went down for it and it ended up being Haunted grounds anyway! He unhooked me during endgame and luckily I had sprint burst so we both dashed out together.

Solo queue can be so infuriating sometimes, but the cool randoms make it worth it.

  • To some extent it's a prisoners dilemma of sorts - both sides want to bring fun builds, but think the other side could be using the meta so they do as well. I agree that variety is great and I often vary my builds but some perks are blatantly more powerful which is a problem in itself. DS for example is predictable and boring by now, but getting non-obsession games in solo queue gets old quickly and it's a strong perk anyway hence its fairly common usage.

  • I agree to some extent, but would argue that getting a fresh take on characters in cosmetics is a great thing even if it wouldn't necessarily fit them.

I like the description from one of Hag's cosmetics that described it as 'One of many possible lives stolen from her', or something like that. To that extent I see cosmetics as an alternate version of characters so I don't mind them being different to what they would normally be expected to wear. Also Susie's Scarlet Swarm outfit talks about her stabbing a guy despite lore showing her as less active, which is an alternate universe of sorts as it contradicts her shy nature (Could debate that is just retconning but I disagree). If that means Claudette is outgoing and actually has decent fashion sense, so be it. I couldn't see Frank turning down that sick LED mask either, if given the option.

I agree that the community could have a larger input with deciding, probably when the finalists are chosen with a poll to decide.

  • From memory and your post I'm guessing this is the 1 minute within 10m challenge? Not sure eveything about it but some things that might work

-Breakout, run behind the killer when they are carrying someone and try to stay out of chase.

-Sabo, perhaps not for actually sabotaging the hooks but knowing where they are to go and hide near one and get a good amount of time while the killer carries, hooks and leaves

-Fixated and Sprint burst, go around obstacles as much as possible and then run

-Quick and quiet into lockers near where others are getting chased / gens (That should count towards it?) bonus points for Head On with this after a decent time hiding

  • I'll definitely add to the recommendation of Iron Will, it's so versatile and has saved me countless times!

I'd also say to try out sprint burst more, it can come in handy alot and especially with map changes more generators are in empty areas so it means you can work on them and get somewhere when the killer approaches. Alongside it I'd say spine chill is good to know when stealth killers are coming, vault faster ect.

Last perk could be Resilience for faster actions when injured (Good with iron will, and with the info from spine chill you could 99% your heal and fully heal only when the killer is coming to maximise the extra speed). You could also stick to quick and quiet as it's good even on its own, or maybe fixated for faster walking and seeing your scratch marks to make you more aware and able to throw the killer off. If you're solo Kindred is good too!

I'd like to add that with Iron Will and the right outfit, stealth works on any survivor! Killers tend to expect smaller survivors will be hiding and pay closer attention, so when I play stealthier as David or Jeff for example it can take them by surprise.

  • Wake Up!

See aura of both exit gates (same).

The aura intensity indicates how close to completion the gates are (like buckle up)

You can see all other survivors globally and they can see you until a gate has been opened (Like new No-one Left Behind, but before opening the gate rather than later and the others can see you).

The following actions are 15% faster:

    Opening exit gates (same)

    Mending

    Snapping out of it

White aura killer powers (Freddy clocks, Plague fountains and maybe pig boxes)

Might be overkill to give it so much but just some ideas!

  • Sounds pretty funny imo! I'd suggest doubling up on some days with the lesser used survivors like Adam +Jeff, or mori related survivors on a day like Steve + Nancy.

Alternatively you could just skip having a mori Jeff day, that's a good solution too speaking as someone who mains him. ☺️

  • Survivors can still jump into lockers and force pickup

  • Survivor:

    Small Game - Totem counter

Lightweight - Maybe remove falling sounds, like Balanced Landing does now when activated.

Wake Up! - You can see all other survivors globally and they can see you until a gate has been opened (Like new No-one Left Behind, but before opening the gate rather than later). Maybe also make waking up and snapping out of it 15% faster.

    Killer:

Trapper - 2 traps base kit.

Clown - Boost base reload speed, or make it faster depending how many bottles are remaining.

Legion - Missed frenzy hit removes some frenzy bar but does not take you out of power completely if you still have some left afterwards.

  • @Chatkovski said:

As already said, the ideal is not to use it.

However I also read some suggest Iron Will, but in the description of No Mither it is written: Grunts of Pain caused by injuries are reduced by 0/25/50% AT ANY TIME.

I always thought that this "at any time" meant that it couldn't be changed by another perk like Iron Will, so isn't it? What does "at any time" really mean?

I think it's just leftover text from when Iron Will used to only work when standing still at certain tiers - it wasn't default that perks making grunts quieter applied all the time so they had to state it specifically in the description.

Edit: and also I think no mither reduces sound in dying state which Iron Will does not.

  • Not sure if you saw yet but it is now discounted! Super happy, bought it just in time for the upcoming rift.

  • Looks like they put Riot Guuy on sale instead - not a bad outfit but I'm the same as you having put on some cells just for shirtless david!

  • From what I've gathered you'll only need the actual characters for challenges that branch off of the main paths - so you can still complete each level of the tome without them but miss out on some challenges.

  • Was in a match as survivor, the killer was Clown and hard tunnelled a Steve until he died. A second teammate dced, leaving me and a Jane with 3 gens left. The Clown chased me all around the map multiple times, and I managed to loop him long enough for the Jane to complete all the gens. She opened the gate I was running to that I saw with my map so we both got out of that bad situation!

I also got the Six Feet Under challenge very quickly! Hooked Ace in shack basement, gates got powered so NOED started working. A Dwight got caught in a shack trap and I picked him up (so they still didn't know I had NOED), then a Nancy tried to take a hit for the unhook and I got her too. Managed to find the Steve opening a gate by the preschool before he could escape, it took me a couple attempts to carry him to basement but I did it in the end!

  • I'm just under tier 56. Got all challenges done. I'll put in the auric cells if I get to level 68 + since that'll return the 1000 it costs.

  • David - I'm from the UK like he is, and he's cool and handsome. Great outfits.

Jeff - He's cute and has a cool vibe.

    Dwight - He's adorable!

  • Equip multiple at once, or at least have a killer and survivor challenge equipped at the same time so there is no switching between just to play the other role

  • On most survivors, but mainly David, Jeff, Dwight or Jake depending on how I feel:

Probably Aftercare, DS, Iron Will + Spine Chill

If I'm playing Adam or Ace, they're quiet enough to run something other than Iron Will - I quite like dead hard on them.

    As for on killer:

Doctor - Ruin, BBQ, STBFL and Discordance is normally my go to, maybe throwing in a spirit fury/enduring combo, pop or mad grit if I'm feeling funky.

  • I've not played the ptb but a cooldown might be good as to not deny people using exhaustion perks against certain killers almost entirely (legion and plague mainly). To be fair the perks they choose to give cooldowns to are sometimes questionable as really strong perks (BT and Infectious as examples) do not have cooldowns.

  • How dare people enjoy the game

  • I am considering getting some of the outfits in the sale:

    Metal Jeff

    Jake with red plaid

    Ones I have already bought:

    Christmas sweater David

    Threadbare David torso

    David's red cargo pants

    Adam's grey trench coat

Susie's white outfit and hushed smile mask

Event: Jake's ponytail, Dwight's waistcoat, Doc head

I have never spent money on cosmetics so far but Metal Jeff is so so tempting and he can't be bought with shards either!

  • Just because they're making the challenges more feasible doesn't mean you can't set yourself aims to complete the more difficult ones! I spent literally hours on the 25 unhook challenge when considering console queue time so I'm happy for other more casual players to not have to suffer.

  • As much as I dislike ebony moris, I think making them need everyone to be hooked once before use is a bad idea, mainly because swf in particular will allocate one person to be extremely immersed which denies the killer of using their mori entirely. I would be happy with the ebony being changed to work if someone is hooked once, but was not the last to be hooked, to stop tunnelling off hook.

As for keys, I think they could use some adjustments. An 'unlocking' animation for ~10 seconds would put them in a better place, perhaps this could include a loud noise and an aura reveal (with a new key addon to negate the aura reveal when unlocking). I don't think hatch grab should be brought back since it would bring back hatch standoffs. Considering purple and pink key are practically the same rn, maybe make purple solo escape only and pink lets others come with you.

  • I would perhaps suggest swapping out Thrill for something else due to the fact that survivors are much more likely to cleanse all the totems if it's present - cleansing dull totems makes hex cleansing quicker + they are actively reminded of NOED being a possibility. Maybe BBQ to help you throughout the match + give you extra points?

  • The Detectives Hunch buff made it an amazing perk! Also enjoyed the Head On collision becoming alot better.

  • If the killer is using a frosty eyes cosmetic I always look extra hard for totems to cleanse, as they're normally the main culprits for NOED πŸ˜…

  • I'm not even that bothered about crossplay itself (Between consoles, for example), but I'm fully on board if it includes the ability to sync progress between platforms as well! I want to get dbd on switch but just cannot justify having to grind again.

  • Most: Myers, Billy, Ghostface, Pig

    Least: Spirit

  • As Solo Survivor:

Self Care: When a teammate is using it when everyone else is healthy and there are still gens to be done. I appreciate it being helpful in solo situations, or when there are only two survivors remaining, though.

NOED:Can normally be predicted, but sometimes there's just that one totem you cannot find and the killer gets (imo) unearned kills because of it.

Haunted Grounds: Like old DS and MoM 'punished the killer for doing the objective', this arguably does the same to survivors when paired with other totem perks. When run on its own, everyone gets punished for one person's stupidity!

Make Your Choice: Only annoying on Nurse and sometimes Spirit since they have such good mobility - you have to decide between farming a teammate or being exposed yourself.

    As Killer:

Iron Will: doesn't really annoy me, but encourages me to go after the survivor who has it when I spot them since I know I'll struggle finding them again later

  • Doctor, Hag and now I'm getting into Trapper. I like how they all have different mechanics but are also a little similar!

  • Nah, I can't abandon David like that! I do like rotating between quite a few of the other survivors every once in a while anyway (The OG 4, Ace, Jeff and Adam) so I'll be adding Bill to that mix for sure. When he first releases I'll be playing him as well as Jake with the Francis outfit and Meg as Zoey for a good while!

  • I escape with David the most since he's my main. I tend to do pretty well as Ace, too.
