Survivors are just skins and they all play the same, but killers can be completely different and thus have a different matchmaking rating. So when you are readying up for a Match your current killers matchmaking Rating is being used and it would be abusable if you can Switch Killer After that

I've said this time and time again RE: Pentimento but no one ever actually answers this. They just hit your comment with a downvote and call it a day.
Truth is a lot of the killers around here like that these perks disadvantage solo queue and will do everything in their power to keep it that way. They harp on about how a small-range aura reveal is going to "buff SWFs too much". But SWFs already have that information and have done for years. They 100% know this, they just don't want solo queue players to be able to have a piece of the pie too. Which really just serves to shoot themselves in the foot because if we never bridge the gap between solos and SWFs, then how on earth do they expect SWF to ever be meaningfully balanced without unduly hurting solo players?
Lol.
… and you Even got the downvote to confirm it 😭

On one hand, I am a massive proponent of buffing solo queue to the level of SWF while simultaneously buffing Killer to compensate.
On the other hand, totems showing their aura without massive caveats (like Survivors needing to use a perk to reveal the totem's aura) significantly detracts from the game's skillcap for survivors. That may not be an issue, though, if BHVR's intention is for solo survivor to be a chill, casual experience where you don't necessarily need to mentally keep track of things. Less strategy, more chill.
If that's the direction they want to go for, then I argue that they shouldn't beat around the bush and just go straight into it. Give survivors basekit perks that SWF wouldn't greatly benefit from. Then, buff Killer to compensate.
Regardless, Pentimento is unique in the way that you can have multiple of them, so if you lose one of them, it's not necessarily a huge deal (unless it was your only Penti totem, then it's completely gone.) This means that it's less far-fetched for it to show its aura, especially to ease the experience for Solo survivors, but at the same time hexes aren't really good or fun in the first place so an argument can be made against Penti showing its aura at all.
It's obviously a heavily nuanced issue. My point is this: If they want to make it easier for solo survivors, they should go all the way and buff Killer to compensate, so that SWF isn't inherently breaking the game anymore.
i may be too dumb or bad at the game but I still don’t see how your first comment makes any kind of sense for a soloq surv and how I can get to your mentioned kind of mastery?
Give survivors basekit perks that SWF wouldn't greatly benefit from.… isnt showing penti totems exactly that? SWF don’t have a benefit as they can already Tell eachother where the totems are (lets stop pretending that its actually hard for survs to rememmber the totem places especially in case of coordinated swf) while Soloq survs get closer to this Level (and still not completely handed the Info for free - you still need to be near the totem)
-
Imo the tunneling didnt really get worse recently and has always been here and frustrating to experience - though otherwise from the killer gameplay pov it is sometimes the only way to really have a chance against certain surv teams. There were also always plenty of other way more frustrating strategys that the Devs have addressed with various fixes (facecamping…??)

are you trying to tell me it’s not healthy to get worked up over a game like this??

I agree that it's not exactly a bright idea to balance the game around people who don't know how to play it. Example: Showing Penti's aura so that you don't need to mentally keep track of the totems you cleanse (which is an element of mastery that you can continually improve on) reduces the game's skillcap in an unhealthy way.
And that's just one example.
can you explain to me how I am gonna keep mental track of the totems my solo q survs cleanse? How am i gonna improve here and how is this not an example of soloq vs SWF difference?
-
haven’t read everything but as far as i can tell he is regarded as a very oppressive Killer - Funkbild enough I have been getting more escapes against him than getting killed and even when killed its usually a pretty even match. There is definitley some dumb bugs (hit through wall etc) and he has a strong Kit with mobility and quick to injure and i agree he needs nerfing.. but my personal experience (probably Players that still learn him) has been pretty fun

the 60 day wait was a thing before console Cross progression was a thing (when it was only for Steam, Epic and Stadia)
With the consoles added this was changed and its currently not possible to unlink your platform accounts from your BHVR account
here is an official dev response from another thread@Mandy said:

They could start by changing the 1 min DC pen, that is only a symbolic punishment, and it does not send a signal that "we dont want you to DC" it actually sends the signal "yeah you can DC if u want". (this comment is not a bashing of you or what you said)
it’s only 1 min the first time you dc. If you do it again within a not specified time after that your penalty increases each time. It starts this low because there are legitimate reasons for dc ing which shouldnt be penalized (facing cheaters, being held hostage, reallife reasons/emergencys and genuine connection loss, stuck due to bug/glitches, etc)
-
yes. The devs plan to implement features against this behaviour.
It’s described in this pinned thread here on the forums (though there will be more Details shortly before the respektive PTB):
@Mandy said:
The Dead by Daylight team announces several roadmap updates and previews a lineup of gameplay changes, quality of life updates, and general game health improvements to come.
Dead by Daylight will be undergoing a substantial Quality of Life Initiative, which should address many longstanding concerns and frustrations our players have been experiencing.
This Initiative will take place over the course of two phases. The first runs from April to June, while the second runs from July to December. For a full look at what’s scheduled, check out the roadmap below.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WFJ7655GDGHQ/image.png
To accommodate for the scope of this Initiative, we have decided to delay several of our upcoming releases – including Chapters, Rifts, Events Modifiers, and Collections. That means there will not be a PTB tomorrow, but rest assured that we did not make this decision lightly.
We feel confident that delaying our upcoming releases to prioritize this Quality-of-Life Initiative will ultimately make Dead by Daylight stronger than ever. We’re always listening to our players, and this has been a long time coming.
Looking for a more comprehensive breakdown of everything lined up in Phase 1? We’ve got you covered.
Surrender StateThe team has been working on a Surrender feature, which should limit player frustration on both sides. To get it right, we first needed to identify the situations where its use would be most appropriate, leading us to two scenarios:
- All remaining Survivors have been slugged (Survivor)
- All remaining Survivors are bots (Killer)
Once these instances occur, players will be able to use the Surrender option, ending the Trial while retaining the Bloodpoints they’ve earned and escaping the Disconnect Penalty.
Gamma Adjustments
Dead by Daylight can get a little dark – not just thematically -- and sometimes excessive darkness can hinder playability. We’re introducing the ability to adjust Gamma settings on all platforms, allowing you to find a sweet spot without sacrificing the intended artistic direction.
“Go-Next" Prevention
The “Go-Next” expression refers to instances where a Survivor deliberately does everything in their power to quickly go to their next game – including walking up to the Killer and standing still, running to a Hook and repeatedly pointing at it, or most commonly, intentionally failing Skill Checks while on Hook.
To disincentivize and properly penalize this behavior, we’ll be implementing measures that will help us identify when a player is attempting to “Go Next.” Once identified, they’ll receive a Disconnection Penalty Point and lose an entire Grade. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this system to ensure its accuracy, but we’re confident that that this will help alleviate the issue.
On the other hand, we’d like to reward players who stick it out through those challenging matches, even when things take a dire turn. We’ll be moving forward with a new Emblem-based multiplier that grants additional Bloodpoints during your following match, with the bonus stacking over consecutive Trials.
Extreme Hiding & Body Blocking Prevention
“Extreme Hiding” refers to Survivors drawing out an unwinnable match by ignoring their objective and waiting out the clock.
To combat this, we’re changing the way AFK Crows operate, so they can more accurately identify when a player is deliberately avoiding engagement with their gameplay objective. Once a player receives Crows, their location will be immediately revealed to the Killer.
We’ll also be incorporating a feature that allows players to lose collision after receiving a third AFK Crow, which should prevent instances of Body-Block related griefing.
Map Offerings
We recognize that Map Offerings are a bit divisive; some players enjoy them, while others feel they can grant an unfair advantage. The fact that they automatically bypass both the Map and Realm repetition system can also add to that frustration.
Moving forward, Map Offerings will no longer guarantee the appearance of a given Map, but rather increase its chances by 20%. Note that they will not stack. We’re also looking to make it so Map Offerings, as well as several other types of Offerings, will remain a secret during load-in – that way, your decision to remain in the match will not be swayed by external factors.
Spawn Rules
Survivor spawn placements can have a significant impact on a Trial’s outcome, an observation that has been repeatedly recognized by our community. It’s become clear that Survivors spawning separately, and thereby covering more ground, allows them to gain a notable advantage in completing their objective.
We’re changing the default Survivor Spawn rules to ensure that each Survivor will spawn within 12 meters of one another, on the same floor (if applicable). To accomodate for this change, Shroud Offerings will be adjusted accordingly.
Improved AFK Bot Detection
Players that use AFK Bots can be frustrating to have in your Trial, and we’re working on improvements to our detection systems so that we can quickly identify and penalize them accordingly.
Bulk Bloodpoint Spending
To speed up general Bloodweb activity, we’re adding a button that will allow you to spend Bloodpoints in bulk.
Quest SystemPreviously announced last year, the Quest system is part of a larger update to The Archives and Rifts, so expect more information in an article specifically dedicated to that. For now, know that we will be reworking the Challenge system (as well as Daily Rituals) to reduce the grind, make it easier to earn rewards, and increase the overall level of fun.
Perk Loadouts & PreviewAfter a successful round of A/B testing, we’ll be allowing players to see their own Perk loadouts while in a lobby, as well as adding additional Perk loadout slots.
We believe these changes will be an overall benefit to Dead by Daylight’s health, further establishing a positive gaming environment for all our players. We’d also like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
We’ll be back at our Anniversary Broadcast in May to recap Part 1 and provide deeper insight into Part 2 of our Roadmap, so keep an eye out for that announcement. In the meantime, we’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.
Thanks for spending time in The Fog,
The Dead by Daylight Team.

the right way to approach including content like a single character out of 40+ available that triggers a ‚common‘ phobia such as arachnophobia (and lets be honest, coulro-, emetophobia as well) is to implement a client-sided phobia setting that changes the model(and/or sounds/animations) to something neutral that also doesnt give an advantage over the default/cosmetic ones.
It would not affect other players at all and would male it possible for affected people to play a Game they like where the Phobia isnt even Part of the whole theme (no, comparison to nyctophobia, hemophobia etc po isnt reasonable and really just gatekeeping)
Somehow in these discussions it’s also brought up that ‚it’s a horror Game‘ which isnt relevant at all. In every other discussion everyone agrees this is only Horror themed game, actual Horror related gameplay stuff is actively not welcome from this community but frowned upon (hide and seek aspect) and people suffering from a phobia isnt comparable to the fear people have while playing a videogame. I don’t even find Spiders scary at all but still want them in this game. Not for the spare factor but the thematic feeling - though it wouldnt hurt me if others can change it on their screen to something more neutral (which can still fit in with the Horror aesthetics)

Everyone knows that DBD is a horror game and that there are killers like the clown. Why do you play such games if you have a phobia of them? Don't get me wrong. Everyone has the right to enjoy DBD if they want to, but there are limits. How are the developers supposed to introduce something like an anti-phobia? That's just crazy.
Imo, if it is just one character out of (almost) 40 and its introduced later on in the Game then it’s very reasonable to request such a phobia mode. Especially with Clown, where the Devs have directly Stated they wont ever introduce a clown Killer because so many people are affected by Coulrophobia
And such a Phobia mode is SUPER simple - just change the appearance client-sided to something neutral. Only problem would be of the changed appearance gives the player an advantage (brighter/more visible) - though that should be designed in a way it doesnt and thats it..
and as mentioned in my post above - other games with a direct theme still implement such modes without affecting other players -

I mean the rituals from Sable Ward and Taurie Caine,
but, isn't it much more important that the revenue from it is correct rather than how often something is played?
Thanks for the reply. Is it okay to ask any more questions here, or do I need to start a new thread? Because I have a few more questions. ^^
I don’t know what kind of metrics BHVR uses to decide what kind of perk types they will introduce but yeah, revenue would be more important i guess. But Feedback is also important and as far as i can See plenty of people don’t like these rituals(invocations)
I think the idea for this forum is to have separate threads for different questions. Keep in mind that devs of the game don’t usually respond here and we as a community can only answer based on official info or assume based on past behaviour -
I hope so. Not sure if BHVR sees enough potential Profit here.. but the designs are already here
The game has many flaws but it is very fitting in the DbD world and the killers Design is great!
As for the survivors, I dunno maybe Linda and/or Maddie as the Main surv while other Characters may fit as legendary skins for them and other original survivors (Bonnie as a Nea legendary or even Augustine Lieber as Taurie legendary)
-
What kind of rituals are you talking about?
Do you mean Invocation Perks (like Sable Ward and Taurie Caine have) or Boon Perk (like Mikaela Reid, Yoichi Asakawa, Jonah Vasquez, Alan Wake)?
Both Kind of perks can be introduced with future survivors and there will very likely be some. Though the current ones don’t seem to be overly played often and thus the Devs might consider them Not popular enough to have too many of them..

What is a phobia mode? Is it something in other live service games? I'm curious as to what it entails as I've never heard of the concept before.
yeah there are some Games having specific types of Phobia mode
EG Grounded has an arachnophobia Mode that changes spiders to blobs without legs:
there is other Games that have similar Kinds of arachnophobia modes where the models get replaced by something else, eg Star WarsJedi: Survivor, Webbed, Kill It With Fire, Satisfactory, Lethal Company
Sea of Thieves has a Feature for people with fear of being underwater, if you enable it your character will automatically float towards the surface.
Horizon Forbidden West has a Setting for Thalassophobia so that you cant drown (which in normal gameplay would be acquired as an item later on in the game but you have a setting enabling it without need of the item)
something noteworthy imo is that most of these modes are implemented in games where you kinda expect these triggers (eg kill it with fire is kinda specifically about killing Spiders with Fire and you get an arachnophobia mode) but the devs decided its still worth it to implement these settings so even affected people can enjoy the Game - without hurting the Rest of the playerbase
edit: to anyone downvoting.. can you tell me why? This is mostly an informative post answering a question and while I have listed not only games that are life-service games as was asked for those are also still included.. -
imo, it would be better to dc in that case as you will be replaced by a bot and don’t completely screen vier everyone in that Match.
I do hope we will get a phobia Mode eventually down the line - though even that has limitations. And especially with licensed content they cant just change the appearance and would probably run into Problems if players could activate a Setting to block a specific licensed character.
So there will always remain instances where the player needs to act - either afking or dc ing (maybe play without Sounds if the trigger is only Audio based). Of course if the trigger is omnipresent in all Matches (eg blood, crows/birds) then it’s most sensible to not play the game.
affected players may also try to use the Game as some form of exposure therapie as its only virtual and you can always stop it on your own - but then again I think an online Game specifically isnt the right Medium for that as it affects everyone on that match and there are offline games or specialized VR for that - maybe try this in custom Matches with your mates though? (Of course only if you are comfortable enough - maybe it can lead to you bring able to handle online matches After this Exposure/desensibilisation) -
Rituals/challenges will get some Kind of rework in the upcoming Game Health Updates and I think they also mentioned touching MMR (though i wouldnt expect separate queues)
-
have been saying this for years now.
the fog is so prominent in the lore but in-Game? Nothing anymore.
but on the other hand a very vocal part of the community hates on anything thats making stealth better and stealthy survivors do get hate in-game and out-of-game (often with the excuse that they don’t progress the game which would be legit if it was appliable in the specific cases - and should be addressed by other game mechanics anyways) -
Your grade has nothing to do with who you are being matched with/against.
Matchmaking is based on a hidden rank (also called MMR), which is not set back each month. It’s only affected by kills/escapes (hatch escapes and DCs don’t count here).
also, based on Lobby queue times the matchmaking isnt even that strict as shorter queue times are always favored - just Look at your typical ‚high skill‘ streamers and you will notice their opponents are actually performing mostly like lower/average skilled players -
it’s only a bannable offenes if you actually Team up with a survivor against another survivor. Which can only result in a ban if it’s been recorded and correctly reported - and the recording has to be very explicit..
So as Long as the one that escaped didnt rat out their teammates and you actually just ignored them you are good to go
-
they wont share direct details (to avoid Hackers being able to react directly to it) but they have commented before that measures against hacking and cheating are being done constantly. They definitivly are looking into the problems and how to solve them but BHVR is known to deliver slowly especially in regards to Hacks.
for now, sadly all we can do is record such matches and Report accordingly and give constructive criticism on the current status! It would be great if recording and the whole manual reporting process would get easier for example. They have stated its currently not possible due to the base games coding but maybe/hopefully they find a workaround - possibly with an Unreal Engine Update/feature.
Better Anticheat in general is also something that would benefit this Game though I am not sure if an alternative for EAC is feasible
-
Judging by the Status of quality of new releases and especially with new Killer releases - I cant see two different killers releasing together
imo the old concept of new content only being new Killer/survs with perks and Maps is also outdated. It would be more interesting if they started with something new - they already kinda did before (eg totems with Hag and even new blueprint offerings with Felix) but i would love new content such as surv Items or new base game content (something that was tested in one of the new Game modes coming to base Game Mode) -
sadako xeno and chucky which are what you expect in dbd
Funnily enough, all of these had large (or at least very vocal) parts of the community against them.
While Nicolas Cage was welcomed with open arms.
people have very weird takes on what they accept and what not. Many people also just really lobe to complain no matter what. -
not an actual DbD 2 as that would come as a new game without the old licenses (would need new negotiations etc. and stuff like Hellraiser and possibly others would not be included) and playerbase would be split/current DbD would need to be turned off.
Re-coding would be great, espeically if done by a different team and other team would still at least keep current game alive as the life service it is. So that actual new mechanics would be easier to integrate as well as stuff like optimization, match replay/saves for reports, better anticheat and automatic cheat detection could be realized

We literally have killers currently who are "not killers" by their nature and don't want to be doing what they are doing. Look into the lore of wraith for example. So it stands to reason that it can happen again.
These killers still are more suited to be killers than survivors though. Wraith may have been not your typical Killer before but he snapped and still resorted to violence - it’s also mentioned in his tome story that his desire for revenge overpowered his will to help others iirc.
they may not want to kill for the Entity but they still need to bring in the ‚potential‘ to be killers. This Kaneki seems to be someone that already was Killer material before the Entity grabbed him.
But yeah, BHVR is definitley trying to show a greater diversity within their characters and especially recently making the difference between survivors and killers more vague. -
While I know literally less than nothing about Tokyo Ghoul… I am pretty sure the license holders have the highest say here and they agreed to choose Kaneki over the others.. so the owners (and I guess also creators) of these characters think Kaneki is the right pick here..
maybe it’s more to do with recognizability and representing Tokyo Ghoul as a whole.And/or maybe the other killers will be coming as legendary skins for either Kaneki or possibly other original killers!
edit: well Hoodied provided the actual official answer. Not a Fan of this ‚alternative Universe Charakters‘ myself but it is what it is and the owners agreed to it… and the above still applies -
hm
and the controversial flags could be simply removed as not to spark an unnecessary heated discussion
which ones would count as ‚controversial‘?
Ukraine and Russia? What about USA? Taiwan?
Will you just remove flags when some situations happen/change?
I feel like this would lead to too much discourse and BHVR will get hate for including/exlcuding certain flags anyway -
the best perks are mostly free ones (eg on Meg Adrenaline, Sprint Burst) and it Friends on your playstyle of course, also which Platform are you on as some survs are included in the basegame on consoles that are not on PC..
Some noteworthy survs/perks:
Feng Min: Lithe and Alert are very solid perks, Technician can be helpful for beginners that struggle with hitting skill checks
Kate: WoO is Great to learn maps/placements or helps in soloq to know where there are still pallets to run to, Dance with Me can be fun and interesting with Lithe (and Quick and Quiet)
Laurie Strode: licensed Char so only available with auric cells/real money, Decisive Strike is still a good anti Tunnel perk, Sole Survivor can come in clutch especially in soloq when you are the last one standing
Zarina Kassir: Off the Record is also Great anti tunnel, For the People can be strong but needs coordination and can backfire if used in the wrong way
Ellen Ripley: also licensed, no essential perks but IMO all can be fun and used interestingly
Leon Kennedy/Jill Valentine: imo interesting for Flash Bang or Blast Mine
But you can find at least one good/useful/fun perk on most survivors, and consider using shards on non-licensed survs if you got enough -
favorites would be cool, but also just different sorting options other than by release! EG sort by prestige, Most often played, purchase date,…
-
it’s not considered holding the game hostage if the End Game Collapse has started since the match will come to a natural end in a short amount of time
It’s just toxic and childish behaviour but not reportable/punishable.
the devs will implement a feature where survs will lose collision when they have three AFK crows soon btw so they can at least get out of these kinda situations after some time -
yeah it’s not supposed to be time limited.
You just need to link both game via the same BHVR account
https://thecastingoffrankstone.com
-
Had a Rebecca flaming me in after-chat for not saving her - at that point it was three survs left with 3 Gens to go, me and the other on death hook, killers having view of her cage.
funny thing is, she let me hit second stage before when we still had a chance of winning and would have let me die in cage. Of course there was nothing wrong with her behavior but I was totally selfish. We all have our own point of view and there are plenty of possible ‚reasons‘ for leaving someone in cage - sometimes thinking someone else got it (8 survs is a lot), sometimes Killer is in the way and would see you attempting to get to cage, sometimes you just don’t have a total overview of cages and how far the bars are down. 2v8 can be very chaotic and as far as i know there isnt really any matchmaking in place due to insane (killer) queue times. I guess most of the time it’s not intentional/‚malicious‘ and luckily surv queue times are pretty much non existent.

this isn’t me trying to make anything up, what I’m saying is these health updates seem to only happen when big licenses come to the game to keep those players around. BHVR has done great things, but as a consumer I have to criticize certain things I see that are off.
but there has pretty much always been some big license being added.. I don’t really see the correlation and definitley not the causation..
And i don’t see a big problem with health updates being as constant as big license inclusions..
-

Yeah idk it’s just how I feel and if people disagree than thats fine but we need more validation that we are being heard.
getting these health update is validation that we are being heard, as well as plenty of past quality of life, Game Health and Balance decisions.
The problem is that they take very long with seemingly easy and obvious solutions (eg losing collision when having afk crows).
Imo it does not help to make stuff up like we are only getting Game Health updates because of potential FNAF newcomers. Thats not really constructive criticism - what do you expect them to do? Stop either FNAF inclusion or the Game Health updates to show they are not directly connected? How would that help in any way? Or any other Point here that I cant see?
-
I think it’s a bad faith argument that FNAF introduction is somehow the one and only reason for these changes. We don’t know why and for how long they have planned this (but for example spawn feature has been a topic Mandy has directly talked about for a long time)
This could also be due to changes in the dev Team, eg Not Long ago Almo announced he was leaving BHVR and he was one of the senior Game Designers and has in the Same Post defended Camping and tunneling - also we know that the Position of the Lead Game Designer was still open after the last one left may suggest changes in this team that may have lead to these changes and this very plan..
And there is even more going on behind the curtains that we all have no clue about..
-
Nobody cares?
This is pretty much THE most talked about topic about this game.
And BHVR just announced their plan to address the Games health including long-standing bugs which even will delay their usual content updates a bit
don’t get me wrong, it’s still something that needs to be critiqued. But saying that nobody cares or nobody is Talking about it is just wrong.. -
haven’t found a solution but just checking for info/possible solutions based on other exoeriences with this error message
You have tried reinstalling the Game and fixing the game files via Steam?
Try also updating your graphic cards driver (or going back a version)
someone on another forum mentioned they got the error when having MSI Afterburner run in the background - try to have as few background processes as needed and See if the issue persists
Is it only DbD? Can you Check other Unreal Engine games?
Finally try adding -dx11 to the Launch options for DbD in the Steam Library

For the reports that you got notice to, I would like to know myself
You understand my curious confusion, I hope. That somebody else went through the trouble of getting footage and reporting it, must be the only logical answer, but that I somehow still got a notice about it.
For context, it was an incredibly obvious hacker playing as Huntress. Teleporting around the map, instantly throwing all her hachets in one go (through walls) and hooking everybody either instantly or speeding around the map with them on her back. I have never seen a more clear case of hacking.yeah I understand that and thats hey I want to See an answer to that too. Had a similar case just not obvious but subtle cheating.. I hope it’s not a bug where you get the Info even though nothing was done…

I got a message saying my report about cheating was actioned, I guess that was simply because somebody else had reported it on here?I just want to be entirely sure I understand, so unless I get footage on forums, there's no point in me reporting anything except chat-related things?
you do not post the footage here on the Forums, you create an additional player report ticket to BHVRs support where you attach the video (or better a link to the video eg uploaded as unlisted on YouTube)
for the reports that you got notice to I would like to know myself -

Not doing gens reportable?
Yes, that goes under the "refusing to participate in regular gameplay" category.
Saying N-word?
The N-word is commonly considered a slur and an insult, therefore reportable under "Insults".

Why hide chat, you were probably not nice yourself?
Probably, but that's supurfluous to OP's question.
Being AFK
He didn't say he went AFK, and his score at the end seems to be against that assumption. You don't get 18k BP from being AFK.

BHVR doesn't need footage, if enough people report a player(s) enough times for a particular reason.

OP said they have given up and then the survs didnt do any gens so… seems like it both sides didnt do anything to progress the Game…
BHVR doesn't need footage, if enough people report a player(s) enough times for a particular reason.thats not true as far as i am aware, do you have a source for that? It’s been stated by BHVR again and again that they need video footage for Most offenses (except chat abuse as Chat logs get saved with an in-game Report)

it’s part of a Collection thats only available during a specific time of the year, in this case Winter Event in December. It will be back then!

I doubt BHVR cant already see the differentes of (Killer) Performances based on platforms and they have stated before (and demonstrated) that they do not simply balance just around stats alone.
-
I would assume - just like with DC ing from a Match - if you do it once in a blue moon then you wouldnt get penalized
But we don’t know the exact implementation details, though cases like this should definitley be considered by the devs
