any pictures, videos of the new tiles?

i dont have the update downloaded since im on xbox but from streams ive been watching along with posts on twitter, a lot of filler got massively nerfed. here’s a picture i found on twitter.

    IMG_5481.jpeg

once i get the update, ill go in customs to get more screenshots. if you have the update downloaded, play on the new autohaven and take a look at the new fillers on there- specifically the truck and dumpster loops.

they added pallets….they didnt change the pallets that were already there. pointless pallets i agree but i dont think more pallets were needed to begin with. just means we have to be more observant instead of running for the first pallet we see knowing its probably a good one.

the picture i sent was literally a old filler that got massively reduced in size and safety.

  • i’m not defending pre 9.3 asylum. that realm was objectively busted with pallet density. i’m talking about the current gutting of fillers in 9.3. but yeah i get what you mean. the devs need to reach a middle ground between 9.2 pallet density and 9.3 pallet density

try less complaining, more learning to actually play

    IMG_5481.jpeg

please tell me with the straightest face that this is ok and that i need to “learn to actually play.” any killer with at least 3 minutes of playtime can get a hit at this loop in less than 8 seconds.

i dont think its about people complaining, its about the very real reality that killers will stop playing killer. like it or not, with no killers there is no game.

this gets said every single year. killer players will not leave in mass. what game will they go to?? it’s the harsh reality of dbd being the only popular and long lasting horror asym game. killer players will be upset and yeah some may quit but the vast majority will still continue to play the game.

  • it will never come because the moment the devs even propose an idea to reduce tunneling and slugging, people will go ballistic until it is scrapped. all the way back in february when the og qol roadmap was released, people were already talking about how phase 2 was “the end of dbd” because they seen the devs were planning to address anti slug, camp and tunnel. the devs would have to rip the bandaid off and just ship the changes to live because no matter how they go about addressing slugging and tunneling, there will always be people who rely on these strategies raging about it being nerfed in anyway.

  • they need to increase it to 60s. so it is even time with ds and bloodrush time. to compensate i would make it so if you get fully healed with OTR still active, the endurance gets removed instantly to prevent aggressive uses of it.

  • @Another_LegionMain said:

    bait use to be believable

have you seen new auto haven? they put random holes in the middle of fillers, effectively reducing their strength by 50% when they already decreased the safety of them in 9.2 with the original pallet density update.

  • @BlackRabies said:

It's still better than holding W and just running to every single pallet forcing M1 killers to break everything.

before this update, m1 killers didn’t have to break every single pallet. there were a lot of mindgameable pallets and a couple of god ones where you had to break but not every single pallet was a must break. idk where everyone was getting that concept of the devs adding 30 god pallets and calling it a day.

  • @NekrosTheAbyss said:

Nice so every killer from below B tier will still be ######### because 10 000 pallets

please play the update before talking about “10,000 pallets.” from what i’ve seen already is they massively reduced the safety of all filler loops. so m1 killers are very much nowhere near “f*cked.” you can outplay these loops even without bloodlust at ease.

  • didn’t it just get nerfed last major update? why are we still wanting more nerfs? this is how perks get gutted, they get multiple unnecessary nerfs. let vigil be. you can’t stack it anymore so i dont see why it’s such a big deal.

Real talk idk why they didn't just go in order from old to new killers?

money. ever since the resident evil 2v8, every time new killers get added it’s always a licensed version. we’ll probably get original killers added in but as side characters to the licensed 2v8 like legion and oni.

  • @Dem34888 said:

They're trying to get as many people online as possible, for example: Wesker and Nemesis, Oni and Ghost Face, Dracula and Pyramid Head. So I think it'll continue, and we can probably expect Springtrap and/or Ghoul, as they're both pretty popular

The final season of Stranger Things and the Alien movie are coming out, so those are also options

if the next chapter is ST part 2, I’m 100% sure we will get a Stranger Things 2v8 in the future with both demo and vecna

  • i still think they should add in elusive to this and keep it at 15 seconds to see how that goes. Elusive was a great idea for anti tunnel, it’s just a shame it was mixed in with all the other unliked changes with the tunneling reduction feature. now it’s probably gone. i hope they reconsider and add it back but who knows, only time will tell. plus, who doesn’t wanna see a picture of a cute little bunny when you get unhooked? i really liked the icon ngl

I think Doctor more so or less is probably because of his power and it’s large area of affect he’d get a lot of value out of it like Legion

probably, to balance it i’d probably just say halve the time it takes to snap out of it. with all the aura reading that goes on in 2v8, i don’t think doctors static blast would be a problem.

  • i’m still shocked that unknown, doctor, knight and clown haven’t been added yet. all of their associated maps are in the 2v8 mode and it seemed that the devs were gonna add the killers and their respective maps as one since dead dawg came when deathslinger was added - same with spirit and family residence.

Oh crap was the -minus 50% Fill rate still coming to live?

not 100% sure. all they said they were changing from the ptb to live camping reduction changes was reverting the range back to 16 meters. i dont know if they kept the -50% fill rate or the 7 second immunity to all hooked survivors after hooking someone. i guess we’ll find out on tuesday

I would argue people start complaining about tunnelling ever since the constant nerfs to killers, like gutting every single gen-defense perks, so killers are more prone to tunnelling to win.

I still remembered many posts saying killers will tunnel more because of the change, but apparently many people think those are doom/threaten posts at that time. And here we are, everyone is surprisingly complain about it.

Btw, while I agree they should buff fog vials a bit, the PTB and release version was literally 'press to win chase' button, which is not healthy at all. Honestly I feel there's just no way to balance this item, either they're too powerful that wins the chase, or they're too weak that they don't do anything. It's either 'Visible', or 'Not Visible'

the issue back then with fog vials are the exact same issue they have right now. they’re too inconsistent on maps. on maps like dead dawg and asylum, the fog is bright white and actually fogs your whole screen to the point where you can’t see anything. then on other maps like ormond, coldwind, macmillan the fog is so thin and easy to see to the point where it’s a waste of an item. they needed to fix that before doing balance adjustments to the opacity, addons and charges.

  • even with the current 16 meters, i have never once as killer or survivor had a “false positive” anti camp go off or even close to going off just from the killer walking around (not camping) kicking gens and trying to find survivors.

  • @OmegaXII said:

The problem is the indoor maps with multiple floors, like RPD and Midwich.

Imagine you hook a survivor at the center of both of these map. At 20 meters It's practically impossible to get around without triggering anticamp that you might as well think it's a free deliverance with that hook.

Honestly I'll prefer keeping it at 16m, to reduce the chance of false positive.

they decreased the base fill rate by 50% and made it so you have to stand within that area for 20+ seconds for it to really kick in the anti camp. if you’re just walking past real quick to kick a gen or get to the other side of the map, it will NOT have that much impact on the anti camp. yall still need to remember the bar fills way slower if you’re further away from the hook as to walking 2 inches next to the hook

  • it doesn’t help that bhvr randomly disables server locations to the point where there are only like 1 or 2 servers in your country with thousands of players actively using them. if they increased the amount of servers and actually KEPT THEM ON we could see a very noticeable decrease in players’ high ping. until then, looks like we will be getting hit from mars after vaulting a window.🤦🏾‍♂️

  • i completely forgot that 5 second ds got taken away in 1 patch because people couldn’t stand the concept of being stunned for an extra second longer. they just need to bring back 5 second ds and call it a day. the only reason it was complained about last year was because it was a previous meta perk that got rebuffed and became super popular again. i guarantee if the devs never reduced the stun to 4 seconds, the complaints would’ve died off like 2 months later. it was new toy syndrome and not the actual numbers that was the issue. same thing that happened with fog vials.

  • usually just yell at my monitor and then equip DS the next game only to get 0 value from it and then take it off the game after only to get tunneled. it’s a never ending cycle…

  • @Leon_van_Straken said:

    Hey another us vs them!

the last 3-4 months of dbd has been a constant us vs them. and with the proposed and cancelled tunneling & slugging reduction changes that happened twice now, i see no stop in the us vs them at all in the near future.

  • @OrangeBear said:

I think the problem is finding a sufficient compensation for killers. Unique hook rewards weren't really working and it was just getting too complex. Elusive could also be used for stuff like flashlight saves and pallet stuns.

for 15 seconds after being unhooked? i understand your argument for when it was 30s along with the 10% haste in the ptb but for live games, i believe 15s of elusive is more than fair to introduce within the game.

  • @OrangeBear said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4030292#Comment_4030292

Survivors had collision when unhooked on recent PTB, this issue was separate from Elusive. They didnt have collision on the previous PTB, which did cause issues but they just reverted it for the next ptb.

i think the problem with last ptb was the combination of 30s endurance, reintroduced collision and killer aura reading that made going for body blocks stupidly easy. with the removal of 30s endurance and aura reading on killer, i find no reason not to add in elusive

  • @Raccoon said:

No one mentioned the 15s Endurance/Haste change?

    That's pretty big.

Med-Kit Exhaustion Reset add-on will also be meta.

an extra 5 seconds won’t do much in the average game. the least they could’ve done along with the 5 second increase was add in Elusive.

Double the bug fixes is NOT NEARLY enough.
There's A LOT of bugs between almost all killers.

fr. they would have to quintuple the bugfixes to even put a dent in the amount of bugs that plague this game. and even with all that, there’s a possibility that there’s the same number of new bugs as the ones being fixed.

  • well tunneling and slugging changes got nuked. camping changes are coming through but with reverted range back to 16 meters (why??? it is so easy to camp with the 16 meter range. at least with the 20 on ptb the killer actually had step back to a reasonable area and not looking dead center at the hook from a couple feet away…). pallet density is getting nerfed. syringe and styptic nerfs are still coming through, all the perk changes from ptb are being reverted… im so disappointed in these devs. made us survivor players believe we were getting changes to help alleviate the frustrations to tunneling and slugging for THE WHOLE YEAR only for them to can it at the last second with NO info on if or when it will be back for testing.

  • @IronKnight55 said:

When will the update go live?

    this upcoming Tuesday, November 25th

  • it’s 100% a bug. hopefully it’ll be fixed for live but with all the other bugs, features, perks, addons and killers that are probably going to be adjusted from ptb to live, i wouldn’t be surprised if this bug somehow slips through.

True not to mention her traps have hidden counterplay where when you walk while looking somewhere else you can mess her clone and get out of her range faster than she can react (not many people know this and hag is rare but thats why she is destroyed in comp DBD so hard team work with this tech makes her long match but mostly g for survivors escaping unless they missplay), after teleporting she can hit you but then she has huge hinder in speed for short time but its enough for survivor to escape she is just big fat spider who has to set the web and hope survivors will step in it and make mistakes especialy if they are in solo q because patient teams will just destroy her it will take some time but she will be loosing.

Personaly I dont know now where you have to look because I dont need it I face 500% times twins than hags, she is more rare for me than twins or artist so I dont waste my time but if you do get hag often and have problem with her than learning this will make her traps you know about almost useless.

also, the survivor can crouch next to it and wipe it away PERMANENTLY while for singularity’s biopod all the EMP does is temporarily disable it. there are so many double standards in this game to the point it should be renamed to Dead by Double Standards

  • anything to get the sample size for ptb’s larger is something i will advocate for

  • she was and still is a solo q stomper. if she goes against a competent swf that will take hits for their teammates then she’s pretty mid.

Who could've possibly predicted that the anti Go-Next system wasn't going to do anything lol

It just shifted the issue BACK to DC's.

iirc the Go Next prevention feature is still killswitched to this day🤣

  • this will never happen. until they remove the hitscan aspect from kaneki’s power, he will still get those sketchy hits because on the killers screen, the survivor was visible and when they clicked the attack button, it instantly hits the survivor, no travel time.

  • does he need nerfs? yes. will he ever get those nerfs? hell no. for some reason, blight has been this favorite child between the devs, comp players, and just die hard killer mains. he’s been overtuned ever since they fixed his qol YEARS ago. yeah he may have gotten some addon nerfs here and there with the removal of hugtech but after that he’s STILL consistently S tier and the 2nd best killer. He needs a significant nerf but it will never happen because i guarantee you if the devs proposed even the slightest nerf that would actually put a dent in his strength (slower speed, less tokens, token removal on pallets, etc) every single blight and comp main would storm through every dbd social media and cry about their S tier killer going down to A+ or A tier. I find it just sad that so many blight players find him “fine “ and “perfectly balanced” when one of the best blight players in the world admits that he needs a nerf.

(i might get downvoted to hell for speaking the truth but that just goes to show all the entitled blight mains that don’t want their OP killer nerfed)

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

Remember when his infection used to have a stronger Hinder at 8 percent? Am I the only person who saw both the nerf to the infection reduced on hook and the hinder nerf overkill? By that I mean the hinder shouldn't have been changed, the infection is supposed to be threatening

it already is threatening. a 4% hinder is still noticeable from the survivor pov. you can’t leave loops and chain into the next one as easily and if you get caught in a area where there aren’t really strong pallets or windows, you’re basically dead. the 8% hinder was overkill because you couldn’t even attempt to loop wesker atp. you were so slow that any “distance” you made was instantly lost because of his dash combined with your hinder.

  • they’ll probably do another community stream and explain the next steps after the ptb feedback.

Apparently Stranger Things pulled the license again from dbd the chapter is gonna be no longer for sale again so my geuss is it ain't stranger things and more likely Jason

that’s false news. the chapter just went on sale for all platforms for the first time in many years. also, the dbd twitter post about Stranger Things Day says “Here’s to many more chases in the Hawkins Lab.” I doubt they would say that line if the chapter was going to be removed again soon.

  • killer just feels very stressful imo. i never play 1v4 killer and if i do it’s because of a role specific quest. all the pressure is on you and there’s no one to help you if you do make mistakes. that’s why i mainly play survivor with my duo since i at least have 1 other person i can rely on and help out when needed, and i can do the same. 2v8 has been the best time to play killer imo since its a very relaxed and less stressful game compared to 1v4.

  • we are still getting the huge amounts of bug fixes for this november mid-chapter like you promised right? right?? (please, there are so many bugs that need fixing, THIS is the time to do it. if not now, when will you ever get the chance and trust from the community to be given that extra time again?)

  • @Pulsar said:

Stranger Things 2 would get me reinvested in DBD.

same here. i also find it very hard for it not to be ST 2 since the final season is about to release and they are really going all out with the collabs and promo for it. multiple video games are getting ST collabs like fortnite, minecraft, brawl stars, etc. they also have multiple collabs with food like kfc, chips ahoy, mcdonald’s, etc. they even have a collab with Tide the laundry detergent. With them wanting to go all out with collabs, i find it hard to believe they would forget about DbD, one of if not their most successful video game collab.

I assume since the pallet density increase you've played on Gideon's? That's a map that certainly did not need a pallet increase. That's an absolute nightmare now, and it was bad before.

gideons didn’t get affected by pallet density. it was only like 8 realms that got the pallet density update. gideons always had 23-24 pallets consistently every single variation of it.

You need to restart your game to get rid of this bug.

leave it to dbd to have a bug where you get voicelines from a $15 licensed cosmetic on your default character cosmetic🤣

The option to abandon after being downed a 3rd time only appears if the killer left you slugged and you were healed off the ground 2 previous times. So if you're seeing it a lot in your games it's either bugged of you're excessively slugging.

this. in the average game you’re not going to see people abandoning after you downed them unless you’ve been continuously trying to slug and make their game boring. let them abandon and have a bot take their place. no player (killer or survivor) should be forced to play in matches where the physically can’t do anything and are forced to stare at the ground for minutes on end.
