    Blood Warden is trash.

Finishing gens is normal gameplay, this perk gives free passive value without doing anything special.

Also if you need a perk to counter it then it’s bad design.

So NOED is problematic perk too because it's rewarding killer for losing gens. Also NWO is problematic perk because hooking survivors is your objective. Why game is rewarding you for doing your objective.

I am fine if they nuke NWO, NOED and Adrenaline together.

  • They just said Myers will get changes, so i doubt that's the reason.

Is Twins have legal reasons too? Or Blight? Twins changes took ages to finish and they are still working on it. Blight got changes after 3 years.

So again, i doubt that's the reason. Probably Myers issues was not that important for them, they are working more important stuffs first.

Yeah, for real. He went 400% basekit power level to what 100% or less easily. Def didn't get nerfed.

He did not nerfed. They just reworked his old busted add-ons to new level busted add-ons. His new add-ons are not broken like old versions but they are definetely busted level.

  • @Pulsar said:

    That's all.

I've run into four Blight's running The Build (patent pending) with the new infinite rushes or Alc Ring.

I'm just so glad we learned nothing from Eruption.

Well we told those add-ons are so busted and should not come to live. But our feedbacks just ignored.

But they will never nerf Blight i guess. Instead they will nerf other weak killers. Like Sadako. Nobody asked nerf for her PTB version and everyone asked nerf for PTB Blight.

But here we are with Blight buffs and Sadako nerfs.

  • We asked some buffs from PTB because her counter was so easy on PTB. But instead of buffs, we got nerfs. I don't believe they will make her good enough because obviously they want to reduce her kill-rate

  • The reason is people are still playing against him like old Billy. So they will learn and matches will turn to normal.

Billy is strong for sure but he is not busted and that's good.

I’m trying not to overlook it because for all we know it probably won’t get destroyed.

I wish i was positive too but they have good history with bad nerfs. Instead of fair nerf, they known with nuking perks.

To be fair. Noed got a fairly noticeable nerf with the aura reveal and Adrenaline is stronger than NWO or Blood Warden especially on coordinated SWF..

I am actually kinda surprised.. like… people actually didn’t think Adrenaline would get looked at with its state in the meta?

NOED is still can be problem if survivor hooked next to it.

And i don't know how Adrenaline is problem, especially in current meta where it's more rare to see end game. Yeah i am not fan of this and probably they will nuke this perk to ground.

Like how even they will nerf it? No heal will make it just pointless.

  • Why Adrenaline is here?

This perk is only works at end game and only for once.

And you need to finish gens or you need to stay alive as last survivor.

This perk does not need any nerf. Only change it needs is that: It should not make you wake up against Freddy.

Seriously why this perk is here?

Are we going to nerf NOED, NWO, Blood Warden next?

  • Probably it will be buff. Like this update. They buffed Adrenaline Vial to busted level.

And his add-ons are still so strong and this supposed to be nerf but it was not.

So i won't surprise if they buff his base-kit to justice add-on nerfs (?).

If someone really think DS is a weak perk - you are crazy. That's all what I can say...

The idea of 2 stages & 5 seconds it's crazy.

The maximum buff this perk can get is to increase stun duration to 4 seconds.

    Not really.

DS deserves good buff to reduce tunnelling

Where do I even start. So Wesker match was pretty wild and fast, felt like they gave up from the very beggining. Chucky was pretty fun on Underground Complex where Leon first rage down DC and I got two people bump into walls with my blinding Hex haha. Nemi was kinda bad game, was like 10 min all gens done on Crows map but final kill was at exit gates powered allready. Hillbilly was on The Game which I thought it's pretty much gg from start but they had greedy tbaging Feng that rage quit after I down her for second time HAHAHA. And Huntress was on Nostromo and everyone was near my first hooked Survivor so I just slugged and snowball them all.

Nice wins, congrats. And yeah, the team you faced as Nemesis looks pretty dangerous, Ace and Nea players are most times pretty decent. But why Tiffany ... I said Chucky 😶

  • So pretty much we are giving free win to killer.

Last 2 survivors are not doing anything because they can't do anything. If they sit on gen, killer will find them and kill them easily. That's pretty much suicide, what survivor have to do here? So your suggestion is just not fixing the real issue here. It's just giving free win to killer.

And also this will be buff for slugging for 4k. What is stopping the killer slug 3rd survivor and find the last survivor with base-kit Whispers?

  • @Seraphor said:

If they want to watch you on the floor for 30 seconds that's just more time for the others to do gens. It's making tunneling more costly.

They don't need to watch you. When you are on ground they can patrol around because you won't pick up yourself immediately even if you have UB. When i slug someone, i am not waiting next to them. I am pressuring gens next to me.

So nah, your suggestion is actually makes DS very much counterable. DS should not have counter except not tunnelling.

  • Nah i don't.

Sadako nerfed to ground for no reason.

Alan Wake perks are still garbage.

STBFL is still so good for tunnelling and camping, main issue did not fixed.

Quick Gambit is still terrible perk, core issue not fixed.

They gave another busted add-on to Blight for no reason. You were going to nerf him, not BUFF. But Blight is gold boy after all i guess.

The only W is Billy. Sadly this is one of the worst updates.

  • @Seraphor said:

On further thought, I would change DS to:

    • Have up to two uses, one charge for each unhook.
    • First hook charge stuns the killer for 4 seconds.
    • Second hook charge stuns the killer for 6 seconds. (They know it's there now, it acts as a deterrent, and if they still want to commit to the tunnel they will face a longer stun, but that's the killers choice)
    • Duration is reduced from 60 seconds to 30 seconds, but...
    • The timer does not go down while in a chase.

I mean this would just make them slug you and easily counter it.

  • Wesker, Chucky, Nemesis, Billy, Blight without busted add-ons, Huntress

    All fun killers to face.

  • @Shroompy said:

In my opinion each killer should have their own pool of maps. This would help with balance SO much and would avoid things like Billy on Lerys or Dredge on Haddonfield.

You could also make it lore accurate by saying something along the lines of: "The Huntress has stepped outside of her domain and can be seen roaming around parts of the Autohaven Wreckers and the Garden of Joy."

    No, thanks.

There is no reason to remove map variarty.

  • Yeah, i won't install PTBs anymore. All issues we pointed just ignored. If devs don't care abaout our feedbacks, why we are even testing things.

We told them Sadako's counterplay is so easy, they made it even easier and nerfed her. "Shocked face"

A lot people pointed DMS is problem with GE. But ignored again.

Alan Wake perks are so bad, so many people came with good buff suggestions. Ignored.

I just give up, devs are doing whatever they want. So there is no reason to suggest changes, community have zero effect.

    1. Flashlights easy to counter? Do you see me? "Background Player".
    2. For The People & Buckle Up wasn't in upcoming Road Map.
    3. I think 80% of maps are Survivor Sided. Eyrie Of Crows, Garden Of Joy, Every Badham, Red Forest & more...
    4. Toolboxes are too strong. Survivor who bring 4 Toolboxes and they know callouts - they are kinda impossible to beat.
    5. Medkits needs some changes. For sure they need to nerf Syringe & add more interesting addons.
    6. Perks like Adrenaline, For The People, Buckle Up, Deliverance are too strong. Killer has only 4 perks, and his 4 perks sometimes are weaker than 4 perks on Survivor Side. They have 16 perks...

If someone who doesn't play both sides shouldn't even talk in here... And it's easy to notice who play mainly Survivor...

    1. I 4k'ed countless Background Player SWFs. So i don't know what's the issue here.
    2. It's not but they said they are looking for solution. So this combo will be fixed whenever it gets ready.
    3. 80% of maps are survivorside? Most of maps have high kill rates. So maps are fine, maybe it's only you. There is only few maps are bad and need rework.
    4. Survivors will bring 4 toolboxes, true but you will counter it with tunnelling. If other side is asking to rush objective, so you do it too.
    5. They don't need to nerf medkits or add-ons. I have no issue against them. Maybe it's you.
    6. Non of those perks are busted, they are strong but that's it. Only BU + FtP combo need to be looked and that's all.

I am playing both sides and i am good at killer. So i don't know what to say.

  • I was not seeing Knight so much in my games and i was not playing him so much either. But he will come back very soon, a bit patient.

Mainly map sizes, jank tile layouts, and the reliance on slowdown. You could also make an argument for gen speeds and toolbox power, but even I see that as a coordinated SWF issue for the most part. If you decide to run a build with no slowdown, which most newer killers will be facing now that Surge is back on Demogorgon, unless they also run killers with decent movement gens will fly pretty quickly. And unfortunately, most slowdown is locked behind licenses or the very slow shrine. Meanwhile lots of good survivor perks are avaliable almost immediately with Dwight, Meg and Claudette. Less so Dwight these days, admittedly.

Maps like Eerie of Crows and Garden of Joy are both good examples of really bad maps that suffer from these problems of map size and tiles, with Eerie of crows having the addition of really terrible lighting.

And on that note, if you think about it the most annoying builds on killer for survivor I've seen involve a lot of slowdown. It's strange that something that is almost required for most killers is extremely oppressive on survivors. Even the upcoming DMS+GE is thought to be oppressive. It really feels like there's no decent in-between because most slowdown by itself is sometimes not enough. It's also why Nurse and Blight are so good, lots of fast map movement and, in Nurse's case, ignoring tiles.

I'm not going to say I know the perfect balancing ideas, but I'd hope most of us can see the issue that games can either mostly end in 4ks with strong slowdown and mostly 0-1ks with no slowdown. Thankfully, the changes to gens and having no gen taps/requires survivors to commit to fix a regressing gen may help, but it will require killer to be more active on the regressing gen in question.

Edit: Also I'd like to mention I want more interesting stuff for maps and keys too. Anything to help mitigate gen speeds and promote variety of gameplay so we can justify nerfing slowdown.

    That's how balance works.

They can't make gens slower anymore with the current slowdown perks we have. I know you will say then nerf those perks and make gens slower but then killer will have free perk slots which will be used chase perks or information perks or perks like Plaything.

So you need to be careful with slowdown , you simply can break the game. And i don't even need to mention high tier killers. If you balance game around weak killers, high level killers will be just broken.

Eyrie is not bad map for killers with good chase power. But you simply can't nerf this map anymore. Just look Borgo and how terrible it is right now for survivors. Removing loops is good for weak killers but weak killers are on the rare side. So that's means you will go to against Blight, Wesker, Nurse, Spirit, Chucky, Xeno etc most of the time. And those killers are already so strong with good powers. Nerfing maps is simply means breaking them.

So except few maps, i don't think maps needs so much changes. Size is also another issue. If you make them so small, Saloon for an example, it will make game unbalanced for other side. Saloon and Midwich have high kill rates for a reason. We can't make maps like those two.

GoJ needs another nerf, maybe Eyrie should be smaller but non of loops should be removed. Haddonfield should get full loop rework, nerf houses and buff street. But nerfing maps to Borgo level will just break the game. And they should never balance maps around m1 killers because they are not so popular and most of killers have powers. Instead of nerfing maps, they need to buff weak killers. So they can play around strong loops.

Balance is not easy but i just disagree with DbD is favoring survivors more. Because my exp is just opposite. Playing survivor is feeling like hell and when i play killer, i am always finding fun and chill matches.

Killrate is kinda hiding the fact that most games are uncoordinated SoloQ and some SWF that don't do callouts. Broken things on either side can't be excused by killrate/escape rate if the numbers are skewed because of it. Heck, Sadako is getting nerfed from her PTB because of uncoordinated players not touching tapes. How is that logical when she has an easy and non-punishing counterplay in the PTB, but broken combinations of items and perks is A-OK because killrates?

SoloQ needs QoL absolutely, no doubt, but we can't have double standards on broken combinations.

Besides, do we really want to rely on one or two broken combinations, or do we want more balanced things across the board on both sides?

I mean what is broken on survivor side atm?

Medkits are nerfed, now they are ok with even irri addons.

I'd rework toolboxes but i don't think they are that much problem.

    Flashlights are very easily countered.

Maps and keys are just exist i guess.

There is only few maps left which favors survivors hardly but most of maps are feels balanced.

FtP + BU combo is annoying but it confirmed to be changed.

SWF teams are just excuse for loses because most of times i am not seeing that good teams, even after so much wins. Team Eternal level SWFs are rare. So SupaAlf level Nurses too. We should balance game around this level players? Which probably 5% of playerbase for best. Do you know how this will be bad for rest of players?

So i am curious what makes game unbalanced for killers.

I am really questioning myself sometimes if we are still playing 2020 DbD. Survivors were op but not anymore. Game is pretty much chill and easy for killers most times. You will get some challanger teams time to time for sure but even on those matches you can win if you play right.

I am really thinking people just can't take one L after countless wins. It's understandable, it's human thing. Nobody loves to lose even after so many wins. But let's be fair. It's fine to lose some matches if your winrate is 60+% and above.

  • @Bartolomeo87 said:

Yes exactly. On ALL levels of play. That means low levels as well where the survivors are still running around afraid of the killer afraid to do gens lol. High level is included but it’s not specifically high levels, meaning the killrate is inflated by players who play at a casual level. I just gave you proof by giving an example of what the game looks like at top level, you know where both sides actually know how to play? You’ve just chosen to completely ignore my argument and then say that you’re willing to listen, when you literally did the complete opposite of that.

The honest truth is that it doesn’t really seem like you are willing to listen. You’ve literally just done the opposite of what you said you were willing to do. I can see I’m clearly not going to get anywhere with this conversation so we can just agree to disagree.

Devs will release new kill rates soon, so you will see it's not different on high levels as well. Because it was not so different the last time they shared. And survivor meta was stronger than current meta.

Killer is dominate role atm, i don't know what you guys need. 80 - 90% win-rate? That's not gonna happen btw because nobody would play survivor.

  • @Bartolomeo87 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3636117#Comment_3636117

Are we really using the killrate argument again? If we want to look at how balanced the game actually is I’d say we should look at the top level of play no? You know where both sides actually know how to play? Well it doesn’t get much higher than comp dbd. In comp the survivors are heavily restricted, and they also usually play on maps which are more balanced.

Even with these heavy restrictions they literally base the scoring based off hook states instead of kills lmao. The killer almost always attempts to tunnel one out asap and even then usually end up with a handful of hook states and with one or maybe two kills by the end of the game. That’s WITH heavy perk restrictions on the survivors.

At this point saying, “oh but the killrate though” is just disingenuous.

So instead of kill-rates , i will take your words?

No offense but nah. On all MMR levels, kill rates are higher than escape rates. High level included. If you have proofs about this game favors survivors, i am ready to listen.

  • Dead by Daylight is killer-sided.

All stats are just showing it. So i don't know what more we need to say

  • Killrates are telling different story than yours. Game looks like pretty much killer-favored.

  • Velma is so short. Feng could work but Velma is not asian, so i don't know.

  • Chapter or costume collection, i'd like to see this happen. Scooby Doo is just so good franchise.

    Daphne - Kate

    Shaggy - Dwight

    Fred - Felix

Velma - That's one tricky, i don't know who fits more for her.

  • Nurse is boring to go against. You will stomp them if they are new. Or opposite. This killer is offering zero fun. So it's understandable why people are giving against her and SM. Boring killers.

I disagree. His irri add-ons are fine. Ring is good but not busted. But Adrenaline is def gonna be problematic. It has so much positive effects and they just removed only negative effect which was makes this add-on balanced.

  • @ChaosWam said:

A rework of DMS seems overkill in my own opinion. Gen block is a pretty great tradeoff to buy some time without totally regressing generators.

I think the best idea is to make screams from UW not interrupt your actions. As for PR, I'm not entirely sure what to do since the explosion on the gen is what kicks you off and not DMS, and it has 4 tokens. Not to mention it only effects the gen with the most time, the other gens can still be finished if they were worked on.

Grim Embrace is an easy fix, just have GE be the priority block and negate any further block timers unless the survivors tap the gen to activate the last 10 or so seconds of DMS.

As for Friends Till' The End, probably the same idea behind UW.

I don't know. Anytime we get new perk somehow makes survivor off the gen, DMS is stacking and creating issue.

Even it's not best counter, we have counter with PR. We are leaving gen until the survivor being hooked. But other perks removed all counters.

What you can do against UW? It will make all survivors scream and gens blocked. Now killer will chase one of them and other survivors can't do gens because they blocked.

And the sad part, this perk almost does nothing for weak killers but on killers like Wesker, Blight, Nurse... Yeah, it's not fun for sure

So killer aren't allowed to try to play as efficiently as possible because someone's feelings get hurt? Also, when survivors play in the most efficient way possible (especially SWF on comms) making it extremely difficult for a killer to secure at least one killer, that doesn't impact the killer's experience negatively in any way? We only care when survivors have a bad experience?

Killer can play however they want. But tunnelling should not be that strong and free. That's why we need 5 seconds DS back

This might be the worst Developer Update they've ever given us.

    • Bizarre Onryō nerfs from the PTB that noone asked for.
    • No mention of buffs to Alan's perks -- which are widely regarded as mediocre at best.
    • Blight somehow being able to keep his infinite rush add-on (this one is truly baffling)
    • And the cherry on the cake is the developers acknowledging that players found Grim Embrace + Dead Man's Switch to be problematic but have decided to do nothing about it.

Like ??? What is going on at BHVR ???

    I agree with you.

And they also made Adrenaline Vial busted again.

They honestly need to just rework DMS. This perk is creating a lot issues.

    Stacking with PR, issue.

    Stacking with UW, issue.

Stacking with Friends Until End, issue.

Now Stacking with Grim Embrace, issue.

  • BHVR is trying to nerf Blight challange: Imposible.

We all focused on how Sadako butchered by them but it's not only terrible change with upcoming patch.

Adrenaline Vial is busted and new problematic add-on.

Alan Wake perks are terrible bad.

I was hoping to play Billy and Sadako but now, i will just stay away from this game even more. Because balance changes is really amazes me.

They are giving busted add-on to S tier killer while nerfing weak killer to ground. I don't understand any reason of this.

  • I hope people punish them with bad sell numbers, so maybe they will finally listen us. If you are not gonna change anything, what's the point of PTBs?

  • I am using different charms on different characters but i am using same combo on my main characters:

    Silent Hill Dog charm

    Pupper's Warrior charm

Cat with witch hat charm ( i dont know where i got this charm but it's super cute )

  • Now they are keep nerfing maps with big dead zones. So most likely there will be one pallet next to gen.

So for the best case, i will loop killer around this pallet while my teammate is doing gen. Killer ofcourse will ignore this gen and he will stay on me because he is poor baby killer. And then i will be forced drop this pallet because of Bloodlust. And then i will have to leave area because there is not another loop.

Now even for best case, how many time i really saved? 10 seconds maybe? Yeah, this perk is still garbage. And they still did not fix the core issue of this perk has.

Almost everything we talked about on ptb has been ignored. AGAIN.

I could cry friend. Hold me.....

    Piggy is sobbing.

Pig was on the road map too, yes?

    Next nerfs for her.

Nurse is here with her all problems. SM is still the most hated killer with failed rework. But once again, they target'ed weak killer instead of real issues.

    I agree.

The addons that really needed to be changed were left untouched.

    PTB/Forums feedback was it ignored.

Condemn is shot again coupled with her no chase and anti loop potential = being bullied all over again.

Survivors are free to do whatever because they can grab a tape, 10 second cooldown, plus see auras of TVs at any given moment.

I’ll be slugging again that’s for sure. I’m not hooking a soul.

They want me to play healthier? Fine, no problem, but make healthy changes first not this.

I will just put Knock Out + Sloppy and i will slug everyone build on her.

But probably this will bother pretty fast because it's boring. But that's only viable way to play her. What i am supposed to do with her? I can't build stacks to make pressure on survivors. I have no chase power. Holding tapes have no risk, so survivor will just take tape and then they will sit on gen without fear.

Like seriously BHVR , what you want us to do with this killer?

I don‘t understand why they collect feedback, when they don‘t even care about it. Now she is just weaker than her first version.

    I don't know either.

A lot people pointed Alan Wake perks are pure garbage, ignored.

A lot people pointed Sadako has some weak points, ignored.

A lot people pointed Quick Gambit needs rework, it's still terrible. Not ignored but core issue did not fixed. So it's still dead perk.

A lot people pointed DMS is problematic with buffed Grim Embrace, ignored.

I am surprised Blight feedbacks did not ignored. Like i am really shocked they actually saw feedbacks for him.

That was last PTB for me. If devs don't care about our feedbacks, why even we waste our time and test things? Feels pointless. I am not gonna bother myself again for any PTB anymore. It's very disappointed right now.

I guess i should play Sadako before they nuke her. Because she will be unplayable after this patch.

I was not expecting sadako to go from being relatively alright in terms of strength to one of (if not) the worst killer in the game.

That "power meter" mechanic looks horrible to play with on paper so I'm guessing it'll be extremely unfun to use in game, literally the exact same as overheat - being punished for using your ability a lot.

Still no buffs to her chase either which is what she desperately needs.

I was fine with nerfs she got because of lock mechanic. But ofcourse they nerfed it too and now she has nothing.

She can't builds stacks easily because 16m is pretty small area and smart survivors will just close TVs before they sit on gens. And it's not hard to find them because they can see TV auras.

Lock mechanic nerfed so much. So when you build full stacks on one survivor, they most likely will be on their last hook state. At this point who cares if they are moriable or not.

She has no chase power, she has meh level slowdown and she has no threat on survivors. I am feeling so upset to lose one of the my fav killers.

"That is why I find its really stupid that some survivors tbag killers when killers being mercy."

For some reason it's usually the case for me. It's often the survivors that I feel bad for because I keep running into them and they last 10 seconds in chase that I let go. They could have been eliminated very early on in the match and they know it but still tbag me at the exit. Where as the good survivors at the exit with them don't tbag. I just think "what are you tbaging for? You were bad and didn't do anything."

Bad survivors are losing most times and probably this is starting frustrate them. More loses, more they are getting mad and emotional damage.

And whenever they get chance, they are doing exactly same thing to opposite side.

That's stupid tho. If other side was nice to you, be good person and just leave. No reason to ruin game for someone else.
