How many more threads are you going to make about DS?
Besides, if they went through with these changes, the perk would die. 30 seconds only and Enduring affecting it? Yeah no.
When i read many of these suggestions about Survivors and their Perks, i'm actually really glad the devs don't listen to Killer Mains.
-
Prepare to get called a Survivor Main just because you disagree with the majority of Killer mains that relied for years on a perk to carry them.
-
Fav: Pig, Huntress, Billy
Least: Trapper, Myers, Spirit, Hag, Plague, Freddy

Aka the fifths Killer Perk.
Indeed.
-
Imagine being so bad at the game that you want Self Care nerfed LOL
-
You're not alone. Sometimes i think about playing Killer but then i get to the menu and end up playing Survivor instead.
Last time i played Killer was at the end of November, i'm not even bad, it's just the stress which i can't really handle.
-
Imagine thinking Spirit and Freddy aren't viable anymore.
-
I use it very often.
Don't see why i should feel bad for using it when camping and tunneling Killers are so common.
-
It's worth doing it for the more enjoyable games in lower ranks and better queue times.
The only problem is, you will probably rank up very fast again anyway.
-
These threads never get boring to me because of the unique combos people can come up with.
What i'm currently using for my mains:
-
Always using it.

As of those weren't common already.
Sure they were, but the few people not running the meta perks will have no reason not to run them anymore because they will just get punished for it.
Unlucky that u already see a lot of toolboxes. I don't get to see them too often on both sides.
-
Killers are just gonna get mori's nerfed much faster that way, totally fine with that.
Unbreakable, DS as well as Toolboxes to counter mori's will be more common too.
I'll most likely just take a break or go back to green ranks as Survivor too.

An experienced killer will wait for you to vault first, or pick up the survivor while looking away.
If they look away, you can just vault it once instead and still get the save.
Idk why this turned into a CJ tech viability/counter discussion.

CJ tech doesn't require timing. It requires an inexperienced killer.
It requires both, the time you have to vault the pallet changes depending if they have Enduring or not.

If by insulting you mean I'm asking a question then yes, I'm asking what you think is demanding while playing survivor , so instead of drawing lines in the sand can you both please answer the question or make a somewhat humorous joke like literally every one else in the thread has.
So far it's been :
The fluctuating reliability of teammates
Looping in unsafe/not God tier loops if th r killer themselves know how to also loop
Cj tech
Or just saying survivor is the casual mode of dbd.
Nobody is insulting anybody. If you want to make a post saying xyz is overperforming
For me that'd be the chase with the Killer, especially if they know how to run tiles and mindgame a lot.
As well as having to deal with random teammates when playing Solo.
And the saves you can pull of such as flashlight ones, CJ tech since they require precise timing.
Other than that it's so much more relaxing compared to Killer which is why i play Survivor way more often. The difference is actually pretty insane.

@Scal3r said:
What is the point of this post? Just to insult survivors?
Judging by the OP's previous posts, yes. Most likely.

@Outland said:
I feel ya!
Killer isn't actually that much fun, and the higher you get the more stressful it is. No one like playing in the higher ranks, that goes for both Survivors and Killers, BHVR needs to address that.
When most players of your game don't want to be in the top ranks, there is something WRONG with it.
Indeed. About deranking.. I have personally done it myself a few times as Survivor but stopped because you basically have to throw and ruin other people's games for it and sometimes i still ended up pipping.. that's how easy it has become. Despite that, you rank up too fast anyway.
And with the upcoming Ruin nerf combined with this matchmaking, the average Killer player sure is going to have a lot of fun..
-
I played a few games on the PTB and that made me realize how boring survivor is to me now without moonwalking.
Bring back pls ;_;

thats the answer i was expecting from a survivor main congrats.
i will see you here again when you create a thread and cry about finding survivor games take 30+ min KEKW
So just because i dont struggle playing against those perks like u do, makes me a survivor main and therefore my opinion invalid huh?
Haha, git gud.

I got 2 hooks in basement, they got saved, catched them both, had to eat 2 DSes
Wow I tunneled 2 people at the some time.
You should've just slugged and camped both of them (in case they have unbreakable too) in that situation.
-
DS, BT: Don't tunnel
Adrenaline: Don't let them finish the last gen. And if you fail at that, they deserve the heal and sprint burst.
SWF: Deal with it, you can't nerf people playing with their friends.
No nerfs needed.
-
No, how about you learn to "aPplY pReSsUrE" instead.
;)
-
Actually yes, but don't think it was fair to not adress Toolboxes/Prove Thyself together with this perk. It's not different from how Survivors felt when instaheals got gutted but Mori's remain the same (i know most people compare those with Keys but still).
Most killers will feel the need to camp, tunnel, slug or bring Mori's now to stand a chance. Yes it's possible 4k'ing without these strategies but everyone knows it's just more stressful. I want to add, i almost never camp and tunnel. I just understand why Killers do it sometimes, unless very early in the match only to be a #########.

But I love moris when I play survivor. The death animations are so much better than getting put on the stupid hook.
It'd be nice if the devs did something so that moris aren't seen as such an unfair mechanic while also making it so that we all get to see the fun death animations more often. And they should add more animations.

If you're going to burn a Haddonfield offering, then yes, please bring 4 BNPs. I hate waiting at the exit gate for ten minutes because the survivors take forever to do gens on that awful map.
Pretty much what i want to see from Killers if this happens, go afk out of frustration.
You prefer a super short and frustrating game for survivors? Will gladly make your games miserable too this way.
-
Lmao, ok. If this really becomes a thing or very common.
Enjoy last second switching SWF's with haddonfield offering and 4 BNP's.
I don't mind making Killers "suffer" in return, you're asking for it.
-
Good luck doing so with all the DC‘s
-
Just do what i do, 4 man SWF with strong toolboxes, BNP and meta perks.
Did that after a few bad games against tryhard killers, felt better afterwards.
-
I'm 20.
-
First, i just like playing with friends and it's fun to just mess around with them.
Besides that, you can actually rely on them to do objectives, save you and countering unfun "strategies" such as camping and tunneling is also a lot easier. For example i can just let them know via text or voice chat if Killer is insidious camping and they get to do gens without wasting time. If i played Solo and nobody had Kindred, teammates would have to waste a lot of time checking. In general, you don't have to waste perk slots for a lot of things which is nice.
NOED is also not as frustrating because you have a totem counter in SWF.
I used to play Solo a lot but i started to dislike it more and more because of the lack of information. Seeing your teammates ranks in the lobby was nice because you could sorta know what to expect and maybe change your playstyle accordingly. But with that taken away now and in addition with the problems that already existed (having to waste perk slots for information perks, no totem counter, teammates being mostly awful, bad matchmaking etc.) i rarely play Solo now, it has become almost as stressful as Killer to me and a waste of time.
-
According to many Killers:
Trying to survive = Toxic
-
I have my fav survivors at P3 with all perks already and many other P3's with perks that are good enough. So i'm prestiging the remaining survivors atm. and trying to get all perks on Yui because i'm close to it. Also trying to get more add ons for Spirit.
-
Ever going to stop crying about survivors?
BT and DS are like the only tools they have to defend themselves against a camping and tunneling scumbag and seeing how u keep crying about the same things, it is doing it's job well enough.
I seriously can't @ killer mains with their whining about almost every single thing survivors have.
-
Devotion 7 Level 87
Playing since October 2018
-
Doesn't bother me much, i do it sometimes too because of teammates, killer/add on i dislike to play against or they have a mori.

It isn’t bannable since you’ll eventually die I believe.
Hexy did get banned for it before, but i can't remember exactly how long he spammed the mori for.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Is this bannable? I want to try it against the next 4 man Blendette squad I face.
If you do it for too long, you can get banned for it afaik.
-
285 Euros according to my purchase history on steam
Love cosmetics too much and i can't say i regret it tbh, DBD is also the game i play the most atm.
-
I play both sides but prefer Survivor and enjoy it a lot more.
Mains are Nea, Kate, Spirit, Pig.
I can't just choose one. Don't @ me :c
-
@anarchy753 said:
I legitimately clicked on it from the main store and had a look and never noticed it was Meg until looking at this thread, legit thought it was Nea.
It's nice she has some un-sporty clothes, but that head piece is a trainwreck. Not sure what the team's obsession is with half-shaved heads but it certainly doesn't translate to nice looking cosmetics.
Cahla described the outfit as a result of Meg hanging out too much with Nea which is pretty accurate, so you thinking it was Nea at first isn't too surprising XD
@NoShinyPony said:
I don't like the outfit at all. No offense, but it looks like a worse version of Biker Kate's outfit and I think it doesn't fit Meg. (No, I don't want only sporty clothes for her.)
Also her hair is the opposite of good looking, sorry.
I hope we'll get a head cosmetic with nice, long hair for her soon. The long red hair looked so nice on her.
That's fair, and i hope so too, the long red hair is my second favourite head cosmetic for her with the first being the DG mask.
-
No, not in the game's current state. Fix it first.
The other day i was stuck in the being healed animation and was forced to DC together with the Killer even after the EGC timer ran out. Totally deserved the penalty, right?
And then there are killers letting you bleed out just to waste your time because they know penalties are active.
In the game's current state, as dumb as it sounds, these dc punishments will kill the game.
-
It's just another attempt from the OP to get survivors nerfed and killers buffed, this time with the topic genspeed. Don't know how people haven't realized after the nerf DS/BT threads.
-
Dead Hard, BT, DS, Unbreakable has become my main build atm.
BT to save others against camping and tunneling killers, same with DS but for myself.
Unbreakable if killer tries to play around DS, even if you dont have DS its still a good perk to run because it can be very game changing.
Dead Hard is just my preferred exhaustion perk, you could replace it with another exhaustion perk.
-
Of course it‘s Iri Head first.
Because DS and BT don‘t need nerfs.
-
- Kate

Nea and Kate because i love their cosmetics.
-
2 days ago i got to Tier 70.
Took me longer than it should, but that is also mainly because i haven't done a single Killer challenge from Level 3 of the first Tome.

The problem isn;t tunneling, its that DS stays active after you hook someone else (which is the opposite of tunneling) then find the other person, down them, and they still have DS.
That way you could down the unhooker, slug him, down the unhooked survivor again. Go back to hook the person that unhooked earlier, go back to the survivor that just got off the hook and rehook him.
Sounds pretty bad tbh, that survivor should still get to use DS in that case.
-
Just don't tunnel, seriously. It's that easy lmao. And if they really want to use their DS just slug them or pull them out of the locker and eat the stun.
Overall, it's being easily countered by simply not tunneling, stop crying.
I only agree that the perk should be disabled when the gates are open.
