The DH "nerf" is barely a nerf. You can use it in two of your chases instead of three. You can still use it for endgame saves and bodyblocking at the exit gates. You can still force lose-lose situations at pallets. That happening once can be game-changing against weaker killers depending on perk loadout (i.e., killer is running any regression perks that activate on hook/down, which is most of them).
CoH and Medkits nerfs are valid, but only for solo queue.
Any team on coms can easily coordinate a heal and take advantage of both medkit altruistic speed buffs and faster CoH times.
I actually don't think anybody's going to run CoH anymore, maybe not even in SWFs, but gameplay for M1s after this update is going to be complete dog####.
New DH was never an issue. Simply wait it out. It was only an issue at pallets because you either had to eat the stun or give the survivor free distance.

OTR is for midgame, DH is for endgame since your OTR will turn off and for midgame if you wasn’t tunneled. This is how they work on live and not much will change after patch. I don't understand why you started asking these questions just now. The changes will not make Dead Hard an anti-tunneling perk, it's just the devs do not understand that the argument “unhooked survivor is attractive for tunneling because he will not have DH” doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
I guess you ask because you didn’t saw this:

Seems fair.
This is extremely situational.

I think he's talking about top tier killer. Will the upcoming regression nerfs you can only get value from getting downs and there are alot of killers not built for fast downs. The problem is that with these killers need early game regression because they have a ramp up power or don't really become dangerous untell mid to late game after resources have been used.
ah, i understand

At the time of the ptb of this flashlight change, many feedback proposals were given that would prevent the flashlights from appearing clunky, like putting the cd after 2 clicks or after the end when you release the button, which would not have affected all techs and advanced movements , in addition to having avoided messing with the muscle memory of the time of the saves and which continues to contribute to people with disorders, like epilepsy.
But anyway, I'm glad that little by little now they are giving more value to feedback from both sides, and if it were today maybe things would be different, at least they gave a small buff to the save times taking into account latency issues
Yeah they also could've simply made it to where if you click at the killer the sound gets muted after about 2 clicks. And / or they could make clicks not appear on the killers screen.

If you don't respond to arguments with anything except "your opinion is not important" than theres literally no reason for you to post on the fourms. Find the other 5 ultra-toxic survivor mains and go protest on how hurting people with a medical condition is good. I want to laugh at it.

Wow.
I now know not to take anything you say seriously!
If you actually defend clicking... you are the definition of a toxic survivor main.
Please, no one but the toxic survivor players think the flashlight change actually effected anything. Just because you lost one way to harrass the killer doesn't mean you don't have more. Try head on

I like how @AetherBytes and @KayTwoAyy blames it on the survivor but they can clearly see that the killer has continuous red ping or packed loss (its the same symbol for killers). As it looks for me, the killer ping is about 1000 - 1500ms, maybe with a little packed loss.
BHVR why is the killer ping nowhere displayed? BHVR why is the ping limit with 2000 way over the playable state?
Pretty sure the red knife icon with the bars that appear signal that the killer is laggy

Flashlights work fine now. Sounds like you just miss flashlight clicking.
And if I do? I mainly just miss being able to use flashlights to moonwalk/360
-
Knockout needs to go.
Head On should simply be changed to have cool down instead of exhaustion.
-
I literally love playing against billies/blights because of how interactive their counterplay is (if that makes sense). however, both are pretty weak in chase if the given survivor knows how to counterplay them, and especially billy, as his entire power can be countered by simply crouching. He is also very outdated, which makes him weak in chase. And by playing billy, you are giving survivors control of the chase, as his power is easy to avoid. As such, is why survivors play like that in your matches.

BHVR wants customers who buys their stuff. Its after all a company which works at this game to make money.
But with the recent changes, the game will draw newer players away, and effectively do nothing to people who are already experienced at the game.

So you want it to be punished or not? I obviously didn't understand what you mean.
I said it should be punished so that killers are less incentivized to do it. However, after exit gates are open it shouldn't be punishable to tunnel.

Did you think 1% of players used flashlights to be annoying and taunt? You're in a dream world. Frankly it was 30-40%, typically the worst players who can't loop but lulz i dropped a pallet
there was no reason to change flashlights and make them incredibly clunky. Either way if you got annoyed by survivor clicking that's not BHVRs issue lol.

@[Deleted User] said:
"Tunneling is at an all time high as there is no punishment for tunneling. And while in some situations tunneling is necessary, getting tunneled out of the match at 4-5 gens is just annoying."
So something you claim is necessary at times you want punished? Sounds contradictive to me.
Reread my post since you clearly didn't get what I meant.

I agree that lot of survivor kit, especially most oppresive ones like flashlights and CoH should be nerfed i'm also highly after the idea of nerfing camping and tunneling, those two should be adressed at the same time.
Nerfing survivors will not remove camping and tunneling on its own (tho those changes are needed), camping and tunneling should be adressed by bhvr.
Flashlights are fine lol

@[Deleted User] said:
Probably a dumb cheater. It's common for cheaters to load extra perks onto survivor. They probably forgot to put them in the first four slots so it didn't show up in postgame. A major tell is seeing Up The Ante on your HUD but not seeing it in the endgame screen. Then you know for sure one of your teammates is a sloppy cheater.
I was playing killer so I couldn't tell, however I also didn't really chase them that much until later in the game so I couldn't really say if they were a subtle speed cheater or anything like that

Blight main here. C33 and alch ring definitely deserve a nerf.
That said, in 4k hours, I've never ran into any good blight that ran either. It's always double speed. I'm usually shocked to see alch ring in post game because they never land any hits.
C3 is fine.

I am a Blight main but that's not going to work. You cannot pull more than a few killers up to his level without making them absolutely atrocious to play against. Simply from how their base kit is designed.
I'd say no matter what c33 and ring will get nerfed on blight. Although c33 might somehow slip under the devs radar because no one talks about it.
C33 is fine. Just a slight tweak would be alright
ring is busted and should just be removed
-
Blight is completely fine, why not simply buff most killers to be as strong as him.
-
Her chase now is just unnecessarily broken, if you try running to another loop she just places a drone and exposes you.

Pain Resonance, Overcharge and Call of Brine should be one time use as well
Only way pain res. should be one time use is if it fully regresses the entire generator.

I wouldn't call those killer nerfs small at all. They basically kill most of the few meta gen regression perks left. And the buffs that killer got are so utterly worthless that they might as well not even be taken in account.
So longer healing which provides more slowdown for killers is useless? Anyways

"a few small killer nerfs" do you really think 125% regression from CoB and 130 from Overcharge is actually worth something on their own? Not to mention the absolute NUKE to pain res.
There are other perks you can use. adapt and quit crying xx

lol "valid" point, yeah. not like most killers need regression to not et 4 outed every game... oops all the good regression perks are garbo now. I did the math, the 125% from new call of brine now only takes 6~ away from a 99 gen, compared to the previous 45. very viable. and overcharge is that but worse... and pain res is bad now...
oh yea but dh? the third health state against powers and lose lose at pallets? man I sure cant live without my dead hard. (<---you btw)
I don't use dead hard, I actually use sprint burst and lithe. Try again tho
-
We just need better map designers. Survivor is honestly getting boring because of how easy some of these maps are to loop on.
-
@tippy2k2 said:
So the devs gut your least favorite part (the gen kick meta) while killing a perk that you admit is unhealthy for the game and needed to be changed while also making your favorite playstyle (healing and altruism) a lot stronger (as survivors are going to need strong healing players to help counter the loss of CoH)?
I mean...you can do what you want but what you're saying and what you're complaining about seem to be at odds with one another.
You can't deny that they are making the game a ton less fun with this patch. They will most likely lose a lot of their player base if they go through with this.

Give me a break. Gen regression perks took a beating. Pain Res was my go to, now it can only be used 4 times. Gen kick perks got nerfed massively. If you expected these to be nerfed with DH and CoH being left alone, that is entitlement.
When did I mention those perks?
-
Us vs them #8163061064
-
Survivor entitlement where? Your comparing a few small killer nerfs to some pretty huge survivor nerfs
-
It's not bad but you could force it in certain situations. Regardless, the nerf was NOT needed in the slightest considering half the time DH wouldn't work.
