The Ghost Face releases tomorrow. You know what that means? Will be blessing us with The Ghost Face forum avatar pics sometime in the coming days/weeks.

people should be able to tell when the killer is bringing a mori
an enormously strong offering the only downside of which is that survivors see it coming
With how many Ebony Moris were flooded into the game from the last new years event (damn things were given out like candy I have nearly 70 on my Myers...) I can agree, but once the numbers die down again I'd personally enjoy not knowing since it adds a bit more "scare/unnerving" back into this game.
-
This includes wreathes, satchets, cakes, puddings, BPS, letters, etc.
I wish everything except Point offerings were hidden.
This way you don't know if someone picked a map to better their build, you won't know if the killer is hiding a Mori until the first happens (and the scare of figuring out what 1 it is). You won't know about any luck offerings or chest offerings. You are basically allowing more builds to proceed without being figured out instantly.

It is randomly assigned to a totem before the match starts. If they always get Ruin before Thrill then you suffer the same cruel fate of RNG that we all do....

If its a suspension from Sony then you need to contact them not BHVR forums....
If it from BHVR in regards to their game then this isn't the place to be asking, they don't talk about suspension or bans on the public side of the forums. Submit a ticket to have the case reviewed/your answered...well answered.

So I was telling a coworker today about this crazy murder game I play way too much and really trying to sell him on it.
Would be nice to see a "bundle" of sorts but the DLC typically goes on sale following big releases anyway. Also unless you are dead set on the characters in question you really don't need to spend any money on the game (aside from initial purchase).

Change wiggle button (console). My left analog stick is broken.
Change lighting/graphic settings. I play during the day sometimes and I can't see anything. Sometimes I can't see things when it's nighttime.
Toggle special effects and some way to lower the Clown's visual effect. I cannot play against him more than a few times with how much it bothers me. Nurse fatigue, legion fatigue, now Ghostface. Makes them hard to play. I actually look away from the screen when in fatigue with legion. People have mentioned a colorblind option.
Better sensitivity (console).
Just a tip about the wiggle bar that a ton of people still don't know, if you spin the analog stick rather than move it side to side it also works. This method is also far easier on the controller and is more effective than moving side to side.

My movie is The Exorcist still to this day I cannot watch it but myself it's truly a horror masterpiece down right flawless

Add sweet potato fries to the menu as part of your combo options.

Yeah but they should at least adjust her screams lol

The only P3 skin I truly like is Myers P3 head cosmetic. The simple stripe of blood on the cheek is soooo simplistic yet terrifying.

So when someone makes use of their offerings from their inventory that they bought, they should do so for your benefit?
Yes?

Nope. I would go make a video but I'm honestly just lazy.
This is what a lot of people believe but it is WRONG. It was never a thing.
As someone who plays a lot of Spirit I can also add my voice to the fact that grass and corn does not react to her phase. Crows do give your position away indeed.

Personally, I would like it to be made to where if a totem is broken, the killer can go to that location to pick up the broken pieces of the totem, then go to the basement to extract the hex from those pieces, and then find a dull totem and insert the hex into that totem. It would cost a lot of time, but allow powerful totems to be re-added to the game if the killer has a dull totem to use. Also gives more reason for destroying dull totems.
I also liked the idea of allowing killers to place their own totems (similar to traps). This means you can spend time finding great spots or quickly lump them all together.
Clearly there are map design concerns with this and the ability to possibly find broken spots that are unreachable (people always find these things) but I though the idea was interesting.
-
The hardest for me is Spirit. The easiest is Nurse. Inb4 “you’re a console player” trust me I’ve seen a lot of good console Nurse users.
PS4 user.
Nurse is easy (unless the planets align and you find one of the GOD NURSES)
The second easiest (and more commonly found) Hag. Lots of people break chase early or just can't cope with her short camera.
Hardest is Freddy (obviously) followed by Legion.
(I'm assuming "juke" to mean break/end the chase via vanishing from sight/tracking.)
-
Keep in mind that the creature itself varies greatly from D&D, TV/game and even in books. So the basic understanding is its a powerful Demon Prince, typically bend on destruction or control. Its appearance and abilities are inconsistent.

But there's an end game now. And they could easily fix that by making it so if you don't work on objectives for a certain amount of time your survival points stop accruing.
No end game if you just keep 1 gen up and then go play hide and seek.
The problem is if you tie gaining these points strictly to "time survived" then A: Less random players will try to save you. B: Some people will hide and do nothing.
It will just push the idea of being a "team" even further away.
-
BHVR already said they want to stay away from "monster" killers.
Who knows for the future though.
-
Pretty tired of players both Killers and Survivors using Bloody Party Streamers on a Double Event and then being total tryhards instead of maximizing EVERYONE'S BP gain...you can, obviously play however you want...just know I personally consider it scummy/dickish move for these events....
Unless I get the "Lets do it!" for farming I don't burn BPS.

Who do you think are the scariest and least scariest, either in design or ability?
Most!
Least!

Well imo survival category should be focused on how long you survive the trial, not did you escape.
Insert the old "hide and seek/hostage" situation all over again.
-
Which survivor makes you think ‘oh great’ as a killer when they join your lobby? Mine would be Claudette, an experienced Claudette is scary.
This....thing!
*image not mine*
-
I did like the feel of power the old animation had, even if it was a subtle change.
-
Can we just remove this cap, or increase the amount, 1 million isn't actually a lot of bloodpoints, especially if you've got what you need.
While I would like an increase to the overall cap, the reason DBD even has one is because people use to hack themselves ridiculous amounts of BP in the past. To combat this the team at BHVR implemented the 1m cap to limit these cheaters and make it more obvious to catch if someone cheated several times over to keep refilling that 1m cap.
They mentioned this a looooong time ago.
-
Survivors can tank a chainsaw, jump off meat hooks unscathed, run a murderer around a pallet, can stab the killer with thin air, can easily endure multiple stab wounds and get sacrificed to a being called the entity.
Realism!

I just want to know why survivors cant get as fast and big amount of points as killer?
It is due to the imbalance of item/add-on economy.
Survivors can use perks (Plunderer/Ace in the Hole) or simply search chests to get/replenish their items and add-ons.
A killer must always use the Blood-Web to get/replenish their add-ons.
Due to this imbalance in item economy killers (on average) receive more Blood-Points per match since they have to invest more Blood-Points into the Blood-Web.
-
This would be latency. The killer being host would have activated the "close hatch" option but the command didn't register on the survivor side immediately. This would have caused the odd animation delay/glitch with the survivor .

Quentin for sure. Almost nobody plays Quentin. I see more Tapp players than Quentin players.
On PS4 I see far less Jake players.
My list would look like this (Top to bottom, most played against to least)
Claudette / Feng
Meg
David
Ace
Nea
Dwight
Laurie
Kate
Quentin
Jane (probably due to being new over the others below)
Tap
Adam
Jake
Anyone else have a list?

Not that easy to loop, no matter what i see, experienced, even at rank 1, it's like billy's are a lil afraid and put up ruin even though they are so OP. 1 sec stun yet legion has 4?
You can take that answer and apply to the coordinated SWF groups that use DS, MoM and instant heals. Why use these?
Why? Because you can and you most likely want to increase your chances of "winning".
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
@k7142001 I initally compared Spirit Fury with MoM only because people keep saying "You don't have to work hard to get MoM to proc"... not because of what each perk does.
It really puzzles me how as killer it is so easy to proc SF (multiple times), b/c all you have to do is break 3 pallets, but no one has an issue with that. There are no multiple threads about how powerful this perk is... why? Because people learned to accept and adapt.
Imagine if it was nerfed in the same fashion as MoM and the pallets were now linked to obsession, so only pallets the obsession drops count as a stack. People would lose their minds.
Again though, you need to use Enduring with SF in order to take advantage of the perk. The cost is a perk slot (enduring) and needing to get hit with a pallet after you have the tokens. The counter is simply to drop pallets early. Sure its not tough at all to get the tokens but getting the proc isn't "free" vs decent to good players.
MoM (old version) had no way to counter. "Not hitting the survivor" isn't counter play when you are a M1 killer and need to get kills.

Not every survivor is a toxic #########.
DCs are a problem for everybody.
Killers DC too and can you imagine how frustrating it is to not gain BPs and relizing you just wasted time ??
P.S. respect for playing Clown
Problem is Killer DC and survivors at least keep the items (sometimes this can bug out rarely) but as a Killer you loose the add-ons either way.
Really I just can't wait for them to implement whatever "new ban system" they are working on. This issue really needs a hard hitting response.

Dude, nobody cares.
Guessing that downvote didn't get the joke ^.~
-
MoM to avoid a hit of damage (or at full HP negate any instant down effect)
DS to escape a capture (and technically heal 1 state)
DH to escape a hit (typically works once but can often net a few)
Deliverance for a free hook escape
4% baseline chance to escape a hook
Hatch at any gen progress when last alive
Borrowed time to negate a hit
Instant heals to negate a hit
I'm sure others could push more examples (I'm just listing the straight forward ones) but survivors do have a lot of ways to extend their survival rate. I'm not saying all of this to "bash" your idea as everyone can and SHOULD have their own, but this isn't really a category that I feel needs more tools.
-
Don't get me wrong, the current state of the perk is unbalanced and unfair for m1 killers , BUT i don't think that 3 protection hits is the way to fix it.
I also think protection hits are broken right now because I got a "protection" score while healing at an exit gate. No one was around and I was healing, since the Legion player was doing 360 twirl spins as she slowly walked toward me, (it was a fun/interesting game) after she hit me I got the "protection" score...despite no one being around.
-
title says it all
Nea is the only killer with more than a couple skins. Relax I'm sure the others will get some too.

@Orion said:
Streamers are usually a bad influence on any game because most of the people who watch streams focus more on the person streaming than the game itself. Being an ######### is the easiest way to "entertain" people.
So that's how you do it ^.~

Instead of requiring survivors to look at Ghostface to break his stealth mode, how about if they had to point in his direction?

Any words of advice?

Well, for Myers, most use "Boyfriends Memo" for the "Jumpscare Myers" build...
And I think that's it.
Moldy Electrode (25% increase shock range) is pretty good too. Sure if you have yellow or Green they are better but don't neglect the 25% if you don't want to potentially waste one of the others.

It's not about it being a video game; the dev team actually doesn't think highly of their community's members as people. This is shown by their unwillingness to communicate with us or take any kind of feedback. They just do whatever they want and spit in our face.
But keep assuming I can't live without DBD, man.
Look I have my own issues with the game but I don't openly harass the Dev team. I have voiced concerns, made my own opinions and even suggested changes I'd personally like to see. At the end of the day its their game and they can do with it what they will. I have to say the team at BHVR is one of the most socially active/engaged teams I have ever seen. They have frequent streams and are always interacting with the community. The issue isn't that they "aren't listening" but that everyone wants to see exactly what THEY want implemented and if that isn't the case they lash out like children.
Sure not everyone is like this as we have some great people on these forums but due to so many people living in "echo chambers" where they can feel empowered by screaming online with no penalty for their words they continue to foster this toxic behavior.
I'm not a huge fan of the current direction of the game (although I do like some of the changes that are in the works, we shall see) and thus have taken a big break from the game, only playing a couple matches every now and then. I'm not quitting the game as I love it as a whole product and really do enjoy the team behind it.
I wish them all the best as nobody wants a project they poured all their time and passion into destroyed, and I know BHVR wants to see this game continue to grow.

I am playing solo most of the time. Unfortunately we can't choose our teams nor their actions. But yeah, when I do most of the job and then go to spectate, seeing someone urban evading at the edge of the map I just sigh.
Sounds like me at work looking at my co-workers....

@PeepingPeacock said:
Survivor finds hatch first -> they instantly win
Killer finds hatch first -> survivor can still win, its just harder
But yea, that's totally one sided in the killers favor.
Actually since EGT was introduced killers cannot grab survivors who jump into hatch, so if they removed the ability to close hatch that would pretty much mean gg every time.
No hatch stand off because survivor wins regardless of who finds it first.
-
Not sure if "bug" or window/pallet grabs are considered a different action that DS coding simply cannot understand.
Might be an oversight rather than bug.
-
I bought the game a few days ago, had a blast playing with friends but i also enjoy playing the killer (just as much if not more), but i do have a problem:
This will only work if your intent is not to rank up.
I like to make gimmick builds where I'm trying to get something fun/funny to happen.
Example: Impossible skill check Doctor or Mirror Myers.
I also like to set different personal goals that don't really require me to try and win.
Example: 360 chainsaw Billy (360 before every chainsaw run) or Jumpscare Wraith (with proper add-ons) where I attempt to make all my captures from pulling people off gens/totems.
Sadly if you want to rank up or go for the 4k you will incur the stress that anything competitive brings with it.
-
@Mochan said:
I go up against a lot of killers who can find and kill me in the corn. Maybe they have better monitors or better eyesight than you, I dont know.
I also play Myers in the corn, it's tough but doable, but I'm only going against low rank survivors who probably don't know how to hide.
Yeah "corn blindness" is real but with practice you can get better at tracking. You also have good/bad days or play against specific skins that make it harder to see.
Basically time/experience will help and the rest is up to your current luck/focus.
^.^
