I can count on my third hand the amount of times Ive reached the kick limit because of Nowhere to Hide

    P.S. I dont have a third hand

I didn't realize that killers won by getting tons of injures on survivors. Here i have been wasting my time downing and hooking them!

Sure you can disagree, but idd like to question why. Why specifically are you saying Map Variants are fustrating?
And frustrating how? I find Nurse frustrating.

They just have always been for me. Could just be how my brain works but everytime I go to a different map variant I feel like my brain is being put through a blender. Everything is all switched up all the time for so many variants. Its frustrating.

  • I disagree. I never liked the 400 different styles of badham's. Map Variants are frustrating.

Just one more terrible decision from BHVR. Since the Skull merchant, every change goes a bad way, maps, perks balance, boring killer to face against, events, every the same things, now, even the modifiers, every single time is the same things, just bad decisions and now until the patch notes was affected. I dont know where they want to go.I love this game, but, was so much better 3,4 years ago, was so much more enjoyable than today, even the hype about new chapters. All aspects were much better.

This game was not better 3 or 4 years ago. It was heavily unbalanced. lol

  • @Sleepy_sunny said:

So I noticed that sometimes some killers disconnect for any reason, they turn into both, however, compared to survivor bots, killer bots don't do anything but hit the air and mess around in place. The game would be more enjoyable if these bots were actually "trying" so they'd be a bit of a challenge at least

The only time I have seen a killer bot was in 2v8. Are they in 1v4 now if a killer disconnects or is disconnected for any reason?

  • Cursed objects such as tapes, need downsides. Passive Condemn would be perfect. Thats all shes needs. Adjust how current condemn works to make it fair for survivors too.

I could imagine a Carrie chapter. It would be great. The Mummy could also have some amazing potential.

I would love it honestly. When I think of the mummy I always think of the Sand Storm scene where his mouth his eating the desert or the waterfall scene. So good.

Carrie would be so fun. Tosses Pallet at survivor lol

I have played against HM 95% and played as HM 5%.

I personally do not think resisting the dog’s bite by yourself should take as long as it does. It is a guaranteed hit in the current state. I think it should not be a guaranteed hit. There should be skill expression.

I think there is plenty of Skill expression with her. Given that you have only played maybe 5%of her it makes sense that you wouldnt see that through her perspective. You have to basically do geometry to land your bites with the dog half the time, not to mention work around her bugs which takes more skill and unnecessary energy.

    Bites aren't free.

    Counters;

    1. Camp Pallet. Stun dog.
    2. Fake snug at windows/vaults.
    3. Snug bites, throw pallet. Stun Snug
    4. Snug Bites, Survivor releases Snug for you.
    5. Snug bites, fall off ledge, snug lets you go.

Plenty of counters and skill expression.

Wow, that's awesome! I just bought her rare winter outfit for shards after just using her prestige default for very long time. I have to say she is pretty fun to play and I wish I see her more in my games (I don't see any).

I agree, I dont see her often. I think its because of some of her bugs. Bhvr has a list of stuff their working on and I am sure she is included. I want more outfits for her!!! lol

Ok im back, imma comment as i watch this

Checking corrupt in main was a, questionable choice, but your gamble paid off since u found Chris with search command. Try to keep these searches brief and shallow, not too deep into unpatrollable territory, main being out of LOS and far to the end of the map, finding Chris was completely luck

Holding the dog while chasing Thalita won't work for you, so you have two options here: you either instantly grab with snug and she stuns him but gets hindered, or you can while holding the chase command, walk in between her and a corner of the pallet in hopes that you bodyblock her prompt to stun. Then just let go and m1 her. You tried to redirect grab and scare her into leaving the pallet, but she was smart enough to stay since thats no different then sending snug straight.

Leaving Thalita here feels strange, since shes zoned at this dump truck filler. I notice you give alot of time to react and switch the direction your dog is facing, try insta sending a little more. You had him perfectly aligned with her and the pallet as she was running away from it, that would've been a hit with not enough distance to make the pallet beside main door

With Carlo's chase, try to use redirect when you're on the pallet and hes on the opposite side of the loop, hes zoned there and has to gamble dodge to w key, and if he does dodge, he might also be too far from the pallet, securing a hit

With looping in general, never take chase to corrupt areas. This is always gonna cost you a gen, so just hit and run them. If they're not coordinating actions as if they're a swf, then this person is gonna be very unsafe and will stay corrupt side until healed

Small note on your perk choice, be aware that when vaulting, snug gets disabled for a second since he has to vault too, Bamboozle doesn't help with this. You can also accidentally make snug vault when a survivor is hugging a long wall or shack, even with Bamboozle. Just recommending you take it off for something like brutal strength, which if snug is stunned through pallets, can help you start your cooldown faster since he is finished being stunned before you break typically and won't have to path around the loop back to you and waste time

NEVER SEND THE DOG AWAY!!! You should always follow snug if you're gonna send a search command, or at least be near his path to deceive someone with no LOS. Your cooldown is gonna happen so late, you're essentially powerless for 15 seconds

Free hit on Chris at the truck pallet taht you didn't take for some reason

Overall, im not seeing much or any gen defense and chase preparations (breaking walls ahead of time, leaving a chase to go to a gen)

I have a couple tips for you, mostly based on her power and what I do every game

Firstly, your chase command redirect window has killer instinct on anyone as long as they're with its effect radius. You could've shot snug into the upstairs floor of main at the start and found Chris with a greatly reduced cooldown

With Search command, send it out of LOS. Point in the direction of a structure loop you're going to move to, and use the path to go 6.0m/s, its a really useful chase tool

Imma send u a stream of mine where i play Houndmaster, watch how different it is when you utilize all of her machanics. Im a P53 Houndmaster as of this message, so i thought u were gonna be like a little better than me, but jus watch this. it'll help u compensate for her inconsistent dog ai and power

    https://www.youtube.com/live/gBqwOuYj54k?si=9cXKq4nEUB13FeuZ

Hope this obnoxiously long comment helped

I appreciate your words, and I will take notes. This was just a really bad game for me as you could tell. I never perform well on badham and I am trying to fix that.

Of course this one game doesn't define my overall skill. I do quite well at this killer, but you would never see it or know it viewing the video because why would you? Its all you have to go off off and thats okay!

Thank you so much for your time again! I will look at your gameplay when I have some time. Just got off of a 14 hour shift. I am exhausted.

So, we all have some dream licenses that we would live to see in game, some more popular than others.

While the more popular ones are quite clear (Friday the 13th, Slenderman, IT, Candyman or Bioshock, to name a few), I want to ask: What are some licenses you would love to see in game, but likely won't do due to the small fanbase or scale of the license?

I'll go first. My top 3 are: Dark Deception, Evil Nun: The Broken Mask, and DOORS.

    What about you?

    Good ones!

I would choose The Mummy, Carrie White, a Demon from Supernatural. Maybe one of the 4 horsemen.

Break the main door thats closer to the potential basement spawn to make hooks if u down someone in the main building downstairs. Break the inwards facing wall on the house but not the edge map side. Break house of pain always.

I main Houndmaster as well, but these are just general killer recommendations for these walls, ill keep watching and get back 2 u

Feel like that 50 second mark really shows the biggest weakness to HM. if a survivor reaches a pallet and just camps it, the dog is useless. I really feel like there should be SOMETHING to prevent this, whether it's a delay between when a survivor can toss a pallet after a bite so it's not an immediate release, or maybe a slowdown for 2 seconds after the pallet stun (you DID just get bitten in the leg).

You make a valid point. Food for thought. 💭

We all know the default survivor counterplay is to cry for nerfs! How dare you suggest such reasonable methods that actually involve learning and improving against specific killers! /s

    Good tips though

Thank you! 🙏🏼 I play quite a bit of singularity.
People assume his biopods just latch on to you immediately. They make a noise first to let you know you’ve been seen.

Just take cover lol or crouch behind something.. the smallest stick or leaf literally blocks its scan view. Lol

  • I disagree with this completely. The Devs have made this very clear. They could be trying to figure out what they want to do with Chucky. They might even be setting him up for a Rework of some degree and just simply dont have the time to do that at the moment.

  • @Yoshirama said:

He can be too oppressive, placing pods at will almost immediately after survivors deactivate them. Is miserable going against him in SoloQ and looks like he doesn't have any downsides asides of being slow after breaking a pallet while teleporting. All the distance you make is gone because he can teleport behind you.

I don't know, is frustrating to play against this killer.

    Pallets slow him down.

Teleporting Slows him down if he's too close. If the survivor is moving he still quite a bit a ways from you. (Just like pinhead when you solve the box)

Predrop if he is in overclock mode. Don't if he is not.

Use emp if you are in chase with him or right before the chase starts. Dont waste emps. Take cover so he doesn't get free scans. Stay in cluttered areas, not in the open.

He is very easy to counter.

  • This might be a console issue. I have a Ps5 and I have never had DBD once shut it off. When was the last time you actually cleaned out your Ps5? Removed Debris? Have you removed the covers/plates off it and cleaned it out?

    <3

I really appreciate you writing me <3 and I thank all of you (The Team) for working with us in every aspect that you can. That's why I wanted to write out a response to you all, so to hear from you means a lot!

  • @rampagestreet25 said:

Nerfing a killer to the ground (chucky) doesnt count as making the game better instead they're making the game less fair and less fun!

Didn't they just recently buff him?

  • @hermitkermit said:

Being able to practice is customs is a huge tool you can take advantage of. You can equip your survivors with the “sweatiest” perks and items. You can replay that map over and over again, to practice all the tiles, learn what gens worth protecting, learn what loops are strong and how they may run them, and experiment with different perks and builds of your own. Now of course, not everything is possible to replicate in customs, but having the ability to control everything in the game except for how the bots specifically move, is an incredible way to practice.

I wish you luck in your next!

Thank you so much for your time! Custom's is a valuable option to try for sure. I would prefer real people, but I understand its not always that easy to find for Custom. Thank you again.

  • @Pulsar said:

I am going to write as I watch.

Well, forty seconds in and I already see a big mistake.

You patrolled inside of the Corrupt gens. You have no reason to patrol those gens. They aren't an issue at the moment. I understand you wanted to find someone, but as I understand it, Snug can do that for you.

You also took chase in the strongest structure in the game AWAY from any gens you could be protecting. If you chase someone inside of Corrupt, you won't ever interrupt other Survivors. If you chase them inside a non-Corrupt zone, you force other Survivors to play around the fact that you are present and, more importantly, a threat.

You wisely drop chase and then kinda get dunked on at a pallet. You then continue to chase inside of the Corrupt gens near Preschool itself. If it were me, all of my Killer senses would be screaming at me about the fact that there's THREE gens unprotected on the other side of the map.

You kinda mess around with that Survivor a bit more, but fail to register any damage, so she doesn't even have the option to heal. I guarantee she got right back on that gen.

Gen pops, you find guy near Shack. You chase him but fail to get a hit or a meaningful pallet in exchange for your time. You push them towards the Corrupt gens, again.

You hard commit to Carlos in an area where there are no gens being worked on and strong structures. It's Badham, so there's good structures everywhere, but still. It also takes you over a minute to hit him.

You get a hit on Chris faster, but only after continuing in on Carlos into Preschool. At about the 3:30 point, I imagine you realized you had truly gotten yourself into a pickle.

There's really nothing you could have done past that. The game was lost since you had no pressure and no hooks. The only possible way to salvage anything was due to a gross misplay from the entire Survivor team.

You should always break open the doors in the 2-story house.

I am going to take notes, thank you for your time my friend <3.

    I really appreciate your feedback.

I'm a casual player and I'm right here, friend. I'd MUCH prefer the game to be less balanced for comp and more balanced for fun. In fact the big thing I want to see is a broader definition of wincons for each side, and a more depricated Pip/Grade system that is more about whether you stuck with playing the game than how well you did.

I agree on both points. I am the same. Very much a casual gamer.

  • @mecca said:

Casuals aren't here. They play the game a few times and then get off. The feedback collected are mostly from people that want it optimized.

Well then, its a good thing BHVR made it loud and clear on all platforms alike so that everyone can feel included as well as our casual players.

  • @mecca said:

Not sure the game being dictated by a loud minority is a good thing. We already know how unfun, sweaty the game is because people want it optimized rather it being fun. I feel like the devs are throwing darts and it is never hitting the bull's eye. The previews will change based on the loud minority and that is a recipe for failure.

You think it’s being dictated by a loud minority? Why do you think this?

The feedback collected and given from these new proposals were posted on The Forums, YouTube, Twitter and IG as well as TikTok.

This doesn’t seem like the loud minority to me. I could be wrong.

However I do agree with you 💯 the game balance should be balanced on what is FUN, not what is strictly balanced for Competitive.

Yes, thank you. I think the best way to add a "move around/control" feature that wouldn't be too complicated for the devs to implement would be something like this:

Drones start in Stealth mode. Now you can also deploy them by holding the button and release it to make them fly away (the longer it's hold, the further goes) up to 16m or collides with an obstacle. Then you could by holding the radar press a button to make the drone fly back slowly (while still being active) to the location where the Skull merchant was when she deployed it. Press again the button to make the drone fly back again.

    That would be interesting. 🤔

I’d like that. In addition to global scan power. It would definitely give her the feeling to survivors of “eyes in the sky” like you are always being watched and hunted down.

What about her chase potential? Claw trap as you said but they can break pallets like before? I think this would be perfect.

No its not. You still place drones, you still check your radar. You still have tracking.

The only difference is that you dont have these things:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/15FHJ2MKW0EB/image.png

Nowhere in the notes does it say you are losing undetectable after placing a drone.

And nowhere in these notes is "her whole design being scrapped" even being suggested.

You legit place drones like you did normally. Only this time get this….

You take them over and launch them at people.

    That is the only difference.

Passive traps to more active traps. Not "her whole kit is being redsigned OMGWAH"

Drones Scan for intel, Global intel power and you launch drones at survivors, while controlling the drone she is undetectable. It also doesn't SAY she's keep stealth when throwing up a drone either, so you can't assume that either.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3900855#Comment_3900855

I havent yet seen the changes in the notes stating you dont get undetectable still from placing a drone.

Let me know when you find those changes stating its going to be removed from her kit. Its not in the post thats for sure.

Her whole design is being scrapped. The only thing that is being kept from her current design which they said in that post is her Intel.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

Lets not balance this game "because SWF" please….

If she is still getting undetectable from putting her drones down and being in the drone radius then aura read from hacking wont be that much of an issue.

Shes only undetectable IF she is controlling a drone. Its a twins situation. So yes, Aura reading constantly would be awful especially if a SWF is in charge. No thanks.

  • I like the Global Intel Power. Thats neat. Hacking Needs to be more challenging. There is nothing "High Reward" about it. Its all High Risk. Shooting drones at people is cool but at the expense of being like Twins. No thank you please. I am not a fan of that design but I do appreciate trying to come up with something more skillful.

Maybe have something that causes one or 2 of the drones to rotate around the map on their own?

1 … 47 48 49 50 51 … 107
