The camping thing isn’t nice? From what I understood killer only camped in the end game when there’s literally nothing else they can do. Also the other survivors were running around the hook trying to unhook and killer was trying to down them at the same time. What else is the killer supposed to do?
And that right there is almost the perfect response. Kudos!
Certain types of camping I don't think are very sportsman like, EG: one survivor left, killer standing at the basement that two survivors are hooked in and 4 gens still up. It's my opinion but as you also see - I don't chastise for it because you play how you play. People view things differently and not every instance is the same. It's all about situational perception and each case is different. (This is why I said it sounds like it is.)
Looking at the situation from that POV, and how you've presented it, probably spot on; there was nothing the killer could do. Very valid point.
I wish people would /could do this in game instead of the abuse they lash out.
Unfortunately the environment after game is quite different lol

The problem with the camping thing is this:
The last 2 times i was told i was a camper was
a) when i hooked one, saw another one with bbq on the other side of the map, got there, and he run me all the way back straight to the hook...but i was camping.
b) i was running rancor, had one survivor at the basement, and a gen popped, showing me another one on the stairs to the basement. i turned around, and got the unhooker. He crawled under the hook and i try to get him. Obviously, that was camping again.
Survivors call everything camping if the killer is near the hook, even if they run the killer back to the hook themself.
Neither of those are camping imho and that fact anyone perceived that it was is them being ridiculous in mt mind. Although I shouldn't be so harsh as it is how THEY perceive it. To me though, that perception is inaccurate and I wouldn't consider it camping.
I'm sorry that you have those who do. No doubt it frustrates you to no end. I also doubt that if you tried to explain it in an after game chat they would listen. :-( Can't win on that one.
The survivors should realize that camping is when a killer is pacing around the hook close so that the only way to get your teammate down is a confrontation to which you really need a very, very ,very skilled survivor - or - two other teammates in order to successfully unhook.
I often have kindred on (mix bag of nuts wearing that is) you see things that make you go "why, why why!" with all sorts of stuff. I think they created Kindred to make us laugh, or drive survivors crazy with seeing the most insane maneuvers.
-
I' m stealthy and have been yelled at by killers after game for 'Hiding" - but what they don't see is I've done two gens by myself and saved at least three teammates. I get way less points for doing gens alone but the other choice is to run around and try to find my teammates who are tag teaming Gens like their life depends on it. (pun intended)
My stealthy saving is so under appreciated. :-(

Esp since you say you have no mental health problems, you seem to be a very empathetic person :) Thanks for writing this all down, it sure helped a lot (I also played killer today...).
Not that I'm aware of. :-D I think we all have our quirky idiosyncrasies that can be perceived as a metal health issue but I have seen a therapist or two over the years during really stressful times and was in need of coping mechanisms I was short on at the time. You know, the moments in life where it's that "one thing too many" - they all say I'm normal and sane - or so they think ;-) Leaned a lot about coping from them.
My name comes from my brothers. Growing up they always said all woman were crazy. This was always my response every time they'd make a complaint about a girl. Big laughs were always had. :-D
*hugs to you as well*
You're very welcome as well. I'm glad it helped. I love people. One of my pet peeves is that kind of nasty behavior towards others. It's unnecessary and cruel and grates on my nerves. Imho it's never okay. I know what it's like to be hurt. Seeing other hurt by people like these trolls makes me go grrrr.
I play survivor. I tried killer twice and was completely humiliated and I mean they weren't even humble about it. It was all teasing and taunting. Playing killer - oh yeah - hard. Much harder. The fact you all can even see us with that narrow POV is an accomplishment.
Without you all - we'd have no game. So I value you a lot.
While I don't like a killer camping and tunneling (I'm not good at the game so it's really extra hard when you have that) it's a killers right to play that way if they chose. Maybe when and if I get better it won't bother me at all. IMHO though you'd get more points and it would be more fun not to but that's one gals POV.
Believe me when I say survivors also have their share of yuck. We have to deal with teammates that are nasty too. Often I find I'm not only playing against a killer, but my own teammates - and that stinks. Truly stinks.
Hang in there. Take breaks when you need to and when you see nasty mean players. Beat them down! You are the killers and it is your sacred duty!
-
hugs
You were fine. The camping thing (which is what it sounds like but I wasn't there so I can't say) isn't nice but you play how you play :-)
I have found this game to have a lot of incredibly abusive people. The second week I played I got the C word, the b word, the N word, the spanish word for ######### - and got called that in english too.
I've been called useless, dumb. stupid, worse player ever, worse gaming ever etc etc. and that's not even the half f it. Vile and just mean.
I've only been pay 4 -6 weeks now BTW and at least every 5th game is a hot mess of nasty either at myself or someone else.
I'm typing this all in caps for a reason, I'm not yelling at you though. :-)
DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO MAKE YOU FEEL BAD.
I'm serious.
These are stupid, childish. pathetic internet trolls that have some issues of their own that they really need help for. These pathetic trolls have no bearing on your real life. They hold no power and no value. They don't know you. They can't hurt you. They are idiots.
It is not you - it is THEM. Please remember that.
Take a break and go treat yourself to something nice. Take a walk. Clear your mind and allow yourself some time to normalise and re-balance.
I'm lucky as I don't have any mental health conditions, that I'm aware of anyway, but there are moments that this game makes me feel so bad about myself that I have to walk away and re-balance myself. I've never been subjected to the kind of volite nasty that I have been in this game so it shocks my system I think.

"OMG I'm gonna cry. You came back for me. Thanks for coming back for me when everyone left me to die."
My other teammates went out the exit and the two of us were lost. My other teammate was hooked and I stayed to try to get them out with me.
"You really are crazy. WP Crazy Girl! WP" (From the killer)
This was at the EGC and the Killer had hung up a teammate on a hill right at the exit. The other teammates were running out the exit and he was in hot pursuit. I stealthed my way over to the hook, Ran up the hill, unhooked, took at hit, jump off the other end with my teammate and made a mad dashed to the exit.
I really thought I was going to end up dead but this teammate had done a lot during the trial - more than any of us and really deserved that exit. I was not leaving them without trying.
blushes
It was really nice.

Think back over the past few weeks. If at any point you / your friend engaged in verbal abuse etc that would be where it stemmed from.
Always possible an error was made and it was the wrong account. Everyone's human so I would ask them directly (support I guess?) and make sure a human error was not made.

I was playing a game against the pig with my friends and i got down by the killer and she put a trap on my head. It starts up and im looking to take it off my head so i could continue playing. Me being unlucky it take the last box for me to take it off but as soon as im there and i see she is crouched by it blocking and prevented me from getting the trap of my head. I died as a result. I messaged afterwards asking why he did that and he did it to be annoying and have fun. Keep in mind i was playing normally and wasn't being toxic ( i hate being toxic). Can i report this?
Probably not unfortunately. I view things like that as unsportsman like behavior - which - is against the terms but something like this would be very subjective and likely overlooked.
This is why I wish we could see killer names at the start as well as survivors. I see known Toxic players - I can chose to leave the lobby. I'm stuck if I'm in a game with a killer that plays dirty. (Though I find less of those tbh.)

@MidniteWolfy said:
Just wanna know if people hear this story would they say that the toxicity was justified or unjustified against me
Was in a match earlier today against billy (I'm jake). I'm somewhat of a new player, just got the game about 2 weeks ago, a little less. Anyway, one survivors dead, the other 2 are taking a beating, he hangs one down in the basement and starts to camp. I manage to scrape by right behind him and crawl down, but he's not leaving, he runs away a bit and then back and runs away and repeats it about 3 times.
I decide that if he's going to wander away a little, his only indication that I'm down here is unhooking my friend, so I figure why not open the chest in the corner, maybe get a flashlight or medkit (anything useful) - he's not going to know I'm down here because I'll let her hang just a few seconds more (she's at about 60%), then with an item in hand, I unhook her, we book it, I heal her up/flashlight billy and BAM - we've escape the basement. In my mind, it was a smart, risky play.
So i approach the chest, I start to open it, I hear him coming, I hide, he comes down, looks around and finds me, slashes me and hangs me up.
This is where the game TOOK A TURN. The other survivor comes down, unhooks her friend, both of them AND the killer camp me, they unhook me, hit me, hang me, unhook me, drop me, let me crawl, heal me, hit me, carry me around, drop me, heal me, hit me, teabag, etc for about 16-25 minutes. It was so long that I had time to open cookies and drink half a bottle of soda. He lets them get all gens, they have a thing letting me crawl around to try to escape the door, then picking me up again (i'm having fun at this point just seeing how far they will go to troll).
Finally match is over and they all type in "poor jake lol" and laugh about it and then say, "next time unhook me instead of going for a chest"
Now, obviously the chest idea didn't work out, but considering the camping situation we were in and the idea I had, I can't quite say that I regret my idea. It didn't work, but every play in this game is a risk. And if it was a bad choice, I already found that out when he caught me - they could also tell me after the match "listen, next time its more efficient if you do this instead." Do you guys feel I deserved it for my choice? What would have been the best play?
It was a fine idea and it could have worked out well if you hadn't had toxic teammates that obviously knew the killer too. My biggest issue is that.
You were in the right - and they are garbage. I have no love for those kinds of players at all. They make things miserable for everyone. Their teammates and the killers.
@katoptris said it well. When you play as a survivor you are playing against teammates - and the killer.
I've gotten to the point in some games that if I even sense that's how it's going to play out. I play very differently and it's often a miserable game.
If I sense it in a lobby (sometimes you can) I leave.
I'm as cautious with my teammates as I am the killer. There was a week straight where anytime a teammate came near me - I booked it away from them. Try to heal me - no thank you. Follow me - I go the other way. (There are others things I do as well.)
I joined the forum a few days ago after reading for awhile. Had the forum gave me the same disgust as I have with that behavior I'd have given the game away or just deleted it. Thankfully - this place is nice and when I have a bad game - I read something in here that reminds me I'm not the only one who feels a certain way.
You did right - they were wrong. Full stop. No excuse for them. They are the worst part of this game imho. I will take a tunneler / camper any day over that. A tunneler and camper reminds me I need to improve. Toxic teammates. As far as I am concerned they are right-up their with cheaters. I love seeming killers hand them their butts. It brings me great, great joy. :-)
I hope when you see a killer be exceptionally brutal with them - that you gain the same joy I do when I see it.
Okay I can be a little vengeful like that. ;-) Welcome to my dark side.
:-D

Don't killer get points per hook as well. Like more if it's a third hook, same player? Or am I misunderstanding? Eg: Points per hook,
1, 2 and then 3 +, + and +
-
Oh I like this thread!
I laugh - a lot in this game.
Last night - I caught myself saying out loud:
"Put me down mister. You put me down right now!"
Usually it's only in my head. :-P
When I run headlong into a killer and with both stand there, face to face, looking dumbfounded at each other for a good 5 seconds. (Happens more often than you think.)
When you end up in those games where no one is acting normal. EG: It's not the "do the gen, run, get caught, hooked etc." But the killers and survivors do something different and are trying to communicate that they want you to do something. I hope I explained that okay. You then have to sit there and try to figure out what they want based on very limited information. It's like a weird game of charades. Often that ends up in hilarity.
Running into a tree while being chased by a killer.
The people on this forum that are so amazingly kind and helpful.
-
I only play survivor right now and I vote: No, that was not.
I had a game last night that sounds just like this. Killer was lambasted in chat after the game. He was fine. To me, they were in the wrong. 9I can kinda see how they might view it that was but it's stretching really.)
I had Kindred on during that game and could clearly see the entire thing; the killer was not far enough away when they chose to unhook her. Not the killers fault that one of then got caught in a trap near right after.
Facecamping to me is not moving away from the area to purposely not allow other survivors a chance at a rescue. (However I don't consider it Toxic, it's part of game play, I consider it bad manors, makes the game not fun imho and mean but not wrong.)
Tunneling to me is when you pick on the same survivor over and over - chasing them relentlessly until you catch them and rinse and repat the second they are unhooked. I don't consider this toxic either (see above)
-
Thank you very much.
Okay then there is something wrong with my game then. For the dailies, the 6 weeks I have been playing - only 2 for survivor and when I close one, another killer one pops up. On top of that you are supposed to be able to close one daily. Yup, not the case with me. I don't have that option until several days pass. Strange.
I like seeing the killers one and I do agree they seem much tougher than the two I've had for survivor or any in the Compendium.
-
I haven't mastered a flashlight yet - never mind tried that maneuver. That extra second of time it gives you could be helpful for those new to flashing use. hmm.
AIM
FIRE
Missed again.
RUUUUUNN
Every time I use the flashlight ... the killers are surprised to learn after the game that it wasn't me trying to grief them - that ermm no, that was me actually "trying" to use it. Yikes.
-
@V1V3 Thanks for taking the time to do that. :-)
Questions though:
"Daily challenges now give fragments"
I've been playing for 6 weeks. I've only ever had two daily challenges that were survivor - they are all for killers? Is that how it is suppose to be?
"You can do multiple challenges at once"
I've never been able to do two Compendium / Rift challenges / daily at the same time. Daily (the odd time there was one for survivor) and a Compendium? Is that how it is, or am I missing something?
I'm asking only as I wonder if I'm bugged up somehow.
-
Hi there welcome to the "I suck club" :-) You're not alone. I do too.
Don't be hard on yourself as many of us feel the same and we will get better!
You've got some helpful advice in this thread. There are very kind people around here.
I've actually be thinking and toying with the idea of starting an "Adopt a Noob" / "Direct a Dweet" thread to see if any more knowledgeable players to come beat us a round and make us better. :-) Or all of us new kids to go in and mess around and help each other get better at looping and looking behind and running our little hearts out.
The game has a massive learning curve. For sure.

About ur urban Evasion part: you will NEVER improve your chasing fast enough if you continue avoiding chases.
This is the mentality you needs in order to improve in lightning speed and enjoy the game even against strong killers: go into a match with the sole purpose of getting chased as long as possible. If you die you die, who cares. U are not losing anything but gaining experience in a quick rate. I promise you, if you do this 1 week you will be able to loop properly enough to stand yourself in a chase.
Quick tip: go into kyf or tutorial mode and train looking behind you while running straight/in a circle/zigzag etc. Build a feel on how you coordinate your left and right hand, your character movement and camera movement.
If you stay in bushes with urban you will get 500 hrs into the game and still play like a beginner.
Thank you.
The sad thing is that you are probably correct. (I don't hide in bushes anymore much though and I'm very, very proud of that! I mostly use it to get out of sight quickly when the killer is coming. Believe me that is progress.
I really do hate to admit that method may be the best thing. I will gain the courage - suck it up and do it. It maybe a few weeks of in the tutorial first though - I really have to get that looking around down better first IMHO.
I spend a bit of time in the tutorial. I can look behind me when pressing A or D but it's sideways and I run into a lot of trees LOL but the S is a constant and epic fail atm. Nothing happens. So i'm doing something incorrect for sure.
I think it's about muscle memory for that maybe. I see it in youtube videos often and am in absolutely awe of it.

I try my hardest to help out newer survivors as killer. If theres some poor sap who just installed and has no clue whats going on, Ill either destroy their team, and then allow the newer player to try and loop me.
Or
Ill message the other survivors in the game, and try to get them to help me with a new guy, and then its a team effort. It does take a village to raise a Baby Dweet.
To all survivor players who try to help out newer killers. You are Gods gift to this game. Truly. You are. I would not have continued to play this game if yall hadnt taught me the best loops and how to run them
Thank you. You may not hear it from the people but I can guarantee that they appreciate that more than you know and more than they say. It not only helps them in game but I'm willing to bet in many cases you've helped to turn and bad day and a bad game experience into something that made them smile and feel good!
I tell you a funny story, well, I think it's funny.
I had a similar experience with a killer when I first started. This killer killed our teammates and there was me and this other fresh greenie running around being chased relentlessly by him. All the while I'm thinking n my head. "Why am I not dead yet? I should be dead. He ate my teammates like easy and they were way better than me. Why aren't I dead yet?" BTW if memory serves - zero gens had been completed, or maybe one. We were blowing up gens all over the place. It was so sad in a funny way.
So there is myself and my last teammate running around trying to do gens, running from the killer and getting smacked down. The killer then kept carrying us to the gens, kicking the gens and dropping us. Rinse and repeat. Instead of us having a clue - he'd drop and we'd book it the helk away. This went on for about 10 minutes.
Finally he killed us and in the end game chat he says.
"I've never in my life tried so hard to keep two people alive!"
of course we are not perplexed and I'm like... "but you were chasing us and going to kill us! You chase, we run - this is how it works." and then he says. "Listen, when a killer kicks the gen and drops you at it does he is telling you to finish the gens." DOH!!!!!
Oh yes did we feel silly. At least I did. LOL
It was so nice of him and I felt so bad that he was trying to help teach us and we totally failed to get it.
I'm very sure we frustrated the life out of him, but I can't say I didn't laugh so hard that tears were running down my face when I realized how daft the two of us were.

Well, I almost purely main killer. So, I probably wouldn’t be suuuuper helpful outside of basic looping strats. The more intricate parts of survivor I wouldn’t be super knowledgeable on outside of the perspective of it from the killer side. I honestly probably potato just as much as you on survivor. I’d be happy to run some loops with you though.
I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to put you on the spot. I meant that in a general sense:-)
Super sweet of you but please do not feel obligated if it's not up your alley. It's all good. It gave me an idea to think about seeing if some sort of grouping / learning might be helpful. I have to think on that more. Maybe people would be receptive to it - maybe not. I have to think more on the idea as I think it might not be a bad one.
If you ever want to test a new killer out on someone - absolutely message me. I'd be happy to be hung up on a hook for your experiments!

I have trouble with FPS sometimes too and wondered if it was me or a correctable thing. When I first start into a map it's there and if certain killers are approaching I know before I hear a heartbeat as the FPS slows a bit. That last part can be helpful but also can cause me to get spotted right quick too.
Everything I've read so far says the FPS sis capped and I assume it's for a reason?

Welcome to this game, and welcome to the forums! This game is...like none other, and I mean that in both a good way and a bad way. It's addictive enough in its formula that I keep coming back to it and legitimately do have fun in it, but it's got enough frustrating features in it that it's one of the few games that I take legitimate frustration breaks from this game, and I can't say that about any other game I've ever played.
That being said, I hope you enjoy your time in game, and best of luck with the massive grind ahead of you to get your loadouts squared away!
Thank you. It's a very nice warm welcome!
I couldn't agree more. Good thing I'm not a gambler. "One more game. I 'll do better this next game!" 10 games later. Why did I torment myself lol.

I sadly have notice a bit ermm.. okay a lot of toxicity.
I think we collectively can help with it though. Ignoring trolls helps. Trying to better to each other in game.
Peer pressure can be a very positive tool when used well. Collectively, I think we can either drive the real baddie out or show them there is a better way that will make them happier too. I like the latter one myself - but I know that won't work for everyone. Some people are happier being miserable and they love making others the same. Quite sad really.
:-D Right now I rang from - I did get as low at a 7 and stayed 8 for a bit - that was exciting! but usually between 9 - 12. As long as we are all having fun. :-)

What platform do you play on? If you need practice looping I’m sure a lot of people would be happy to go into KYF with you and run some.
Hi! *waves* I play on PC. I have to say I love that "Kill your friends" term. It makes me chuckle. I'm on EST as well.
I need practice pretty much on everything - I'm bad. This is not me being modest. Truly it's rather a funny kind of sad. I don't mind as I can laugh at myself. I get more upset when I let down a team, or I can see the killer had a really rough game.
The one true thing a troll said to me in chat, or close to true was "You are the worst gamer ever." My response. "Probably true." but I have heart!
Maybe we can all start a group. "Adopt a Noob" or something like that. Not the worst idea ever?

Killer is unplayable.
Oh my gosh thank you - this image made me laugh. I don't play killer. I mean I can barely play a survivor - killer - yup tried - was pretty much laughed at. (I didn't mind.)
I tell you this is exactly how i feel playing survivor and I hear the heartbeat. It usually ends something like this:
All in my head:
"Oh my gosh, the killer is coming. I'm on a gen. I'm making noise. OMG OMG OMG! Closer. Closer.
Do I run? Do I stay and try to finish the gen? Do I run? Do I stay? Do I run? OMG RUNNNNNNN you silly girl. RUNNNNN."
Runs around corner....
... right headlong into the killer.
Very short chase and that's if I'm lucky.
I'm down. Unconscious. Bleeding and..... hooked!
"Not again." Sigh. "When will I learn?"
I think it's different types of stressful on both survivor and killer... and each game is unique. You can't be sure what you'll be faced with.
The music to this game is quite intense. I think that really does contribute the most to the stress. That feeling of urgency etc.
I think the game can be quite stressful. So it's important we are kind to each other - especially in the after game.
*big hugs to you*

Welcome to DBD, it can be a very fun and addicting experience. Though the experience can leave a lot to be desired at times.
Just wanted to point out while you can't learn to loop in the survivor tutorial, you can practice running while looking behind you and getting comfortable with 360's also if you haven't done the tutorials yet you do get bloodpoints for completing them.
Good luck out in the fog!
THANK YOU! Seriously. Thank you.
Yeah, it is a love hate relationship for sure.
I must be blind as a bat then I have not seen it - or done it. When I'm back on tonight I will absolutely look for that tutorial and run my heart out. I really want to be able to do that. Not being good at it I think fails my team but also makes it less fun for killers too.
Maybe I was too excited to start to play that I missed it completely lol. Possible.

That happens all the time in red ranks. If you're solo queue you unfortunately can't depend on your team.
That second line. Oh yeah too true. :-(
-
@Peanits said:
We are looking into cases where queue times are excessively long for some people (i.e. 10+ minutes). Those are definitely out of the ordinary. In the vast majority of cases, however, it comes down to the amount of people playing each side in your region and platform at that time. I used to get instant killer matches as well, but in the past few weeks my killer queues have gone up to 2-3 minutes during the day, then drop back down to nearly instant at night.
For the most part, it has to do with the number of people on each side. If there's a lot of people playing killer, there may not be enough survivors to fill all of their lobbies. Meanwhile if there's a lot of people playing survivor, there may not be enough killers to host those survivors. It can vary from region to region, platform to platform, and the time of day.
Perhaps a silly question, but, here we go anyway:
Other than a VPN - is there a way to be moved out of your region?

Ok, I thought you meant you thought being the obsession meant OoS landed on you somehow. lmao I was like wut
Also, I don't tunnel people just because they're the obsession. I only tunnel them if I can see they're clearly using OoS by going in and out for reasons I'm not controlling. If you're clearly out of range for All Seeing (assuming I'm running that) and not healing, you're likely OoSing me and need to leave.
Sorry. I know the post was about OoO itself as a perk but I wanted to point out that sometimes the Object isn't wearing anything but gets marked by the killer as if they are. I think not every killer may know what you know. Please educate them. :-D
Thank you for not tunneling the innocent ones. I wish more killers would realise that as boy it stinks.
Feel free to kill all the DS people and the OoO people. (Unless they are being good teammates - then maybe only hurt them a bit.)
*Stamps of approval*

Also, am I mistaken? I could have sworn the way OoS worked was you had to equip it, and still luck out to be the obsession. You're not guaranteed.
Yes BUT it can be trumped by other perks and things like DS anyone can end up the obsession and you'll see their aura but they won't see you as the killer.
OoO:
" supernatural bond links you to the Killer.
If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other.
This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's Terror Radius.
As the Killer's Obsession, this effect applies to a maximum range of several metres. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of several metres.
Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time."
Note the line about Increases the chance.
Here is DS:
"Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.
After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds.
While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check
to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.
- Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.
- Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.
Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time."
The obsession in not guaranteed by either. Things trump it and it moves around to other players. While the player not wearing it won't get any benefit of the perk - they end up being the obsession.
I might be off a bit (but close enough) as I'm new to the game and still learning how things play together.
Obsession when I have nothing on to cause it = tunnelled = dead. This is what I know.
Please go kill the person with DS or something that would cause the innocent bystanders to suffer.. Thank you. ;-)

"I don't suicide, i accelerate my death."
Pretty much an accurate description, and quite succinct.

BTW I'm new too. About 6 weeks if that?
You are expecting to have teammates? Stop right there. You are entering delusional realms and will make yourself crazy.
In this game I am finding more and more that the killer is not your enemy - your teammates are. Isn't that sad?
Your scenario has happened to me more than once and it's unfortunate, but it is part of the game play. So I accept it.
Honestly, don't waste your breath in with people like that in chat.
I go into games now and I try to get a sense or the team. (It's get easier as time goes.)
I have teammates who won't get off gens to heal others, who will work with the killer against the team and literally out you on purpose in various ways. Eg: Pointing where you are hiding, blocking so you can't move, following you around making as much noise as possible and creating such a spectacle that there is no way the killer won't find you etc etc.
I'm at the point now where if one of my teammates comes near me during a game - I try to get away from them almost as much as I do the killer!
I wish I was kidding. I'm not.
:-(

I'm not going to try to change your mind, but I will tell you this:
Lately it feels like almost every other game I end up the object of obsession - do I have it on? No. Do I have anything on that would cause it? No.
And yes, I end up the one tunnelled for it.
One of my teammates is the culprit, and it's usually DS. Those same teammates will not go save someone off a hook until the last second, or not at all.
The killers come after me with a vengeance and it's a rotten game for me 90% of the time. Do I blame the killers? No. It is what it is.
I'm at the stage now that the moment I see I'm the object - I no longer care. I will run around the map in stupid directions and if you chase me it will be a free hook for you. Yes, I stop and just let you hook me and die as there is no point for me being in the game.
To be clear, I don't suicide but I literally will try my luck freeing myself and we all know how that's going to end.
It's very disheartening.
