Yeah if ur talking about how the base floor a whole corridor has no hooks i feel it. very frustrating. i was denied a kill because I couldn't get to a hook anywhere

It's precisely that. A whole corridor has no hooks, the adjacent one might have maybe one, but too far away to reach. Sometimes there's a single hook in only one of them, but the whole middle area has no hooks too.

They did figure it out, remember that big map patch they did after ruin got nerfed? Knocked down the size of big maps like temple and thompson house, reduced (somewhat) instances of having strong tiles all spawn in a row, fixed a load of god windows...

They explained the issues and fixes perfectly. Whatever their current philosophy on map design is, it's deliberate. As to what kind of purpose it's supposed to serve, I haven't got a ######### clue.

Yeah, that's really weird. They fixed the god windows on many maps, but now every new map has a similarly strong window to those. The office window at RPD, the windows on new Haddonfield's houses, and now at the house in the Garden of Joy. I'm not even going to start about the safe pallets at post-rework The Game and Cowshed, those are ridiculous. I don't get why they still do it like this.

  • Dragon's Grip is quite fun when combined with the Boat Key add-on (increases the speed of your teleport outside of nightfall).

Damage a gen, walk away, wait for someone to get back to work on it. When you hear a scream, teleport to a locker near the gen and insta-down the survivor. The first time I did this the gen was inside the shack with those two lockers right behind the survivor. He didn't have time to react. It was great.

Glad so many ppl like the Idea we need to send this Idea to BHVR they need to make it possible :)

This was my First Skin Idea fordredge i got in my Twisted Head 😅

If BHVR doesn't do it we need someone to draw it on the next Design a Cosmetic contest and give you the credits. It's a shame the submissions for the current one are already over.

  • You forgot the best part about him: he brought the horror back to DbD.

Scary and messed up appearance and sounds.

An ability that makes the map dark and forces survivors to hear the cries of his previous victims in the darkness.

    Locker and remnant jumpscares

A match against Dredge looks more like an horror game than against any other killer. That's the cherry on top. He has become one of my top 4 favorite killers for that reason.

  • This idea is awesome. I would use that outfit for sure.

    Maurice missing, the Archivist missing....

Maurice is becoming the new archivist!

That would make an awesome April Fools joke. Imagine you unlock a new entry, but you can see the head of a horse behind the Observer's couch. Then you try to hear the entry but you can only hear horse neighing.

Well, Maurice would be a great Observer with that third eye of his.

  • Yes, but the difference is: the Dredge outclasses Sadako in almost every way. Almost everything she can do, it does better.

Teleporting to TVs? Dredge can teleport to lockers. It takes longer to teleport to a locker, sure, but Dredge isn't locked in animation after teleporting like Sadako and has killer instinct to perceive where nearby survivors are. Also, there are far more lockers than TVs on the map, and they can't be made unusable like the TVs. Locking them only slows Dredge down and can be done only once, unlike turning TVs off.

Confusing people at loops to make them go to the wrong side and down them? The remnant does that far better than her intermittent invisibility ever will.

Sneaking on survivors? Sure, the Dredge needs Nightfall to be undetectable, but when it's active, not only is he undetectable, the whole map is dark and survivors field of view limited, there are constant cries that survivors keep hearing, and the killer has no "lullaby" to warn survivors he is coming nor a loud manifesting noise before attacking. He is more visible than her, yeah, but that won't matter if you just quickly appear in a locker behind the survivor doing a gen.

In other words, the only thing she can do where she isn't completely outclassed is being stealth at any time, instead of needing an active passive, walls to get behind and a locker, but that only thing is not even that good, as stealth abilities are quite weak in this game and she will still be seen if the survivor is in an open area with clear line of sight, even with her low visibility.

  • The map is still mostly killer sided because it's one of the smallest maps in the game, and most of its loops are unsafe. However, I must say I still hate to play on it as killer. The loops with breakable walls, the main building and the safe gens on higher floors are things that can make it quite annoying. That's also why I disagree when someone says its the best map for killers, Midwich is better.

    Cronenberg Turkey?

    Okay, that's a good one.

  • Your sins will be cleansed if you play a game of Hag.

  • Tombstone Piece is OP, but the Judith's Tombstone + Fragrant Turf of Hair combo is completely fine, and that should stay.

  • The exposed effect doesn't work with killer damaging powers, so I don't think it would be a good change, considering the perk is supposed to be a "hard mode" for survivors who wish it.

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

I just want it so they killer cant see u are broken and u start healthy, show broken icon if you get up once

That would kill the No Mither + Resilience combo at early game, and that is the only sinergy this perk has.

  • @Veinslay said:

But it only takes 0.5 seconds to snuff!!!

It takes far more than that, since you have to walk to it first. Smart survivors will bless them in the furthest and hardest to access possible spots, like on top of buildings and corners away from gens. And while you walk towards a boon, there is no one else applying pressure for you, unlike what happens when only one out of 4 survivors stops to bless a totem.

Also, survivors will just bless it again. Hell, they can place two boons with the time you take to reach one.

This. It does exist for killers a bit, but that is latency. It never happens when I am playing survivor, and the distance is actually kinda small as killer. It used to be MASSIVE.

Let's not forget it also used to send the survivor from one side of the pallet to the other.

  • @i_dont_care223 said:

so when i was filling out one of the surveys i accidentally skipped a question do i still get my reward?

If you skip a question, the survey can't be send and send you back to the question you didn't answer. At least it was like that for me.

  • It's good when combined with Sloppy Butcher... if survivors don't have CoH, at least. When they really don't, experienced survivors usually stay injured and avoid healing so they don't get slowed down by Sloppy. With Thana, they will be pressed to heal since doing gens while slowed down and being injured is not very safe.

Pop, Call of Brince and Pain Ressonance do a better job at slowing the game down? Sure, but they don't have this nice sinergy with Sloppy builds.

But yeah, using it with killers others than Legion and Twins is a risk right now due to CoH. Weirdly enough, I find Sadako to be the one to get the most value out of Sloppy + Thana, since her mobility and stealth can allow you to hit-and-run to some degree at least. That doesn't mean it's strong on her (actually, one of the reasons Sadako feels too weak is that her kit favor hit-and-run, a playstile ruined by CoH).

  • Honestly, I think the same should apply to BBQ. Come on, its probably the perk with the highest number of counters in the game at this point, and the BONUS BLOODPOINTS are one of the reason's it is used so much, it's a perk that combines high bp increase and good utility. Overused doesn't mean overpowered.

  • This time with the movie's license, and Sidney Prescott...

But now that I think about it, it would be even cooler to have a kandarian demon as killer (either possessing Cheryl or Henrietta). I don't think that's possible now with Evil Dead the Game, though.

  • I hope this thread is bait. But considering how often I see survivors DCing on the last second before death, I wouldn't be surprised if it's serious.

Nerf Blight to 105%, which would force players to rely on his power more for ending chases. His power is already toxically strong and simple to use right out of the box.

That would force the Blight to be a lot more difficult to use, which would make sense since he's the 2nd more power Killer. He should be about as hard to use as Nurse.

Oh yes, turn one of the best designed and best received recent killers on a garbage and unpleasant design like Nurse, being powerful while requiring a lot of skill to even deliver a single hit, being inacessible and unplayable for anyone but the sweaty veterans, and because of that having the lowest kill rate in the whole game AND being one of the most unfun killers to play to everyone except who has them for a main. Then complain about survivor queues getting longer and to why there are only Nurses and Spirits on certain times of the day, because I garantee, the HUGE majority of Blight players will drop if he gets butchered and becomes a weaker nurse.

  • Many people here don't have english as their first, native language, and while some languages like English have neuter pronouns ("it"), many don't have anything similar, and all words are either male or female. Its common for things of unknown gender to be referred to as male, just as plural words being said in the male gender when they refer to both male and female subjects.

Actually thats one of the easiest challenges to do since facecamping is running rampant, you just need to play normally with Bond equiped until you run into a camper, then just go there and wait.

Thats how I get the "Stay hidden X seconds in one trial" challenges, it takes time but eventually youll get your camper.

Only if the killer facecamps without moving and looking around, which is a worse play than proxy camping instead. Also, you're definitively throwing if you sit beside a camping killer for 60 seconds. If you can't rescue a survivor, you're supposed to do gens. If you camp with the killer, than they are effectively camping two survivors instead of one, and you'll get everyone else killed too.

Also, if the killer messes up and leaves its post for one second, giving you the oportunity of a last second rescue, you should do it instead of just sitting there and helping the killer... in other words, the best way of doing this challenge makes camper games even more miserable for all survivors.

They did a really good job with midwitch. and I think lerys is fine for the most part.

Would really love a full fledge psych ward... like outlast.

Agreed, Midwich and Lery's are respectively my two favorite maps in the game. I keep hoping for more indoor maps.

  • The devs could at least make it so the items are locked on the latest 15 seconds, so the killer has a little to get a perk to counter it before the match starts.

  • I don't think FOV options should be part of the settings at all...

Disabling ANTI-ALIASING and V-SYNC, on the other hand...

I have been thinking on this alot with the garden of joy being confirmed to get more maps for its realm in the live stream.

I would really like a "Abandoned Freeway"

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/147YB9UGIZ23/vadasd-png.png

Or A corner of a street with a Convenience Store a Fast Food Joint, a small bank, a small bar, and a ma and pa shop.

And a prison. i am so surprised we have not gotten a prison or a psych ward.

We have a Psych Ward... sort of. The main building of Disturbed Ward, which is Crotus Prenn Asylum. Of course, it would be much cooler to get an actually large building to cover a whole indoor map.

Ugh, yes. We had one like this in tome 3 and it was awful. You either get a farming or AFK killer, which is not intended gameplay, or you throw the game. There's no middle ground. This challenge is not something that happens in normal gameplay, even if you're a Blendette. If it was 60s in the killer's TR, it'd be one thing, but 10m is strict and games just don't last that long outside of low MMR.

Challenges like this encourage horrible gameplay and actively make solo queue a painful place to be. You can't play the game when your teammates are doing nothing or straight-up getting themselves killed because the tome told them to hug the killer's butt for a minute.

I'm also bemused they dusted this one off for David, because it couldn't fit his character less. A hiding challenge? The man's ready to throw down at a moment's notice and his perks are all about giving no ######### with dealing with the killer. Cower for 60s challenge made sense when it was Dwight, but David? Hell naw.

Oh, there's that too, having to play David. Having to play a specific survivor means you have to do it with whatever perks you have on that one survivor at the time. So, if you don't have Iron Will and other perks useful for stealth on David, too bad... you can't even use that to help you.

  • @Killmaster said:

The new "rewards" aren't going to be worth grinding for so don't stress it.

Having all that character's perks unlocked on Tier III on all your other characters forever seems worth enough to me.

  • This is the worst challenge in a long time. Nobody likes challenges to hide near the killer, they are terrible, force you to waste a ridiculous amount of time and possibly throw the game, and are quite slow to complete... and the devs had the brilliant idea of making it a MASTER CHALLENGE needed for a lore entry?! Like, for real?! It's literally "throw all your matches by trying to survive for a whole minute near the killer without doing nothing, pray that you complete it at some point".

Devs should change it immediatly. This challenge makes no sense and does not belong in this game.

  • I don't get why are so many people saying there is no reason to P3 without this reward. They already said prestiging will unlock that character's teachable perks on the corresponding tier for all the other characters which means everyone will have that perk on Tier 3 if you P3 with the character. At least that's how I understood what was said in the anniversary stream. How is that not incentive enough to prestige?

  • It's highly abusable in RPD if your team brings the right combo of sabotage + boil over, but highly situational anywhere else.

  • What's even the point of not bypassing them? When the LAST survivor gets downed the only possibility for them to win is if killer doesn't wait for the DS or doesn't camp them in the ground while waiting. In other words, the only thing second chase perks do at this point is making both the killer and the survivor waste a whole minute doing nothing. If anything, second chance perks SHOULD be countered by the new Mori.

  • My all time favorite is Midwich. Love the dark and scary design, the secret chest at the tower, the ambushes you can do with the two floors, and even the breakable wall shortcuts (you can actually use one to bait survivors into a trap).

My only problem with it is the awful hook spread. BHVR, fix this, please...

  • Well, good luck if you ever play on Midwich again. On that map, there's a good chance the killer will NEED to let survivors bleed out at some point.

  • Wait, so Moris are going to have always the same background on each map, unless you bring Devour Hope or Rancor? That's kinda boring and will make it feel repetitive at some point.

  • I got it on my first try. Cat's Eye helped me to some extent.

  • There's also another detail: when I can mori someone, I usually do it in an angle with no objects obstructing my view. If its automatic, how can we make sure we are going to be able to see the Mori instead of clipping into a wall?

  • Oni: Atrocitus

Trickster: Jared Leto's Joker (Yes, I know the first Suicide Squad movie is bad, but they are just too similar to ignore)

    Spirit: Silver Banshee

    Plague: Bleez

Clown: Professor Pyg (who would fit perfectly in this game, by the way)

    Legion: Anarky

    Deathslinger: Jonah Hex

Twins: The Ventriloquist (Viktor would be the dummy, Scarface)

    Doctor: Doctor Sivana

  • A change I would welcome: make so DS deactivates when you perform the action to open an exit gate. Since it deactivates when doing gens and healing, I don't see why not deactivate on opening exit gates, since that's also an action torwards the survivors' objective, and the killer will want to stop it. Of course, there is also the fact that you HAVE to try to hook a survivor you just downed after they opened the exit gate, or otherwise they will escape no matter what. That's not really tunneling.

  • The Cenobite and the Twins need urgent QoL updates.

The Cenobite has a really RNG-dependent chase ability. You need a lot of skill to hit it consistently, but even if you do so, you have no control on wheter or not you will get any value or reward for landing it. A survivor may be bound for over two seconds... or just break free instantly, making it useless. It doesn't help that Cenobite can accidentally break his own chains. That's one of the most frustrating parts of his power. At the same time, his passive ability is so oppressive on less skilled survivors he has the highest kill rate in the game. Meanwhile, organized survivors can get rid of it quite easily.

Playing The Twins can be either really fun or really stressful. They only got nerfs after their release and Viktor is a little too clunky right now with that huge 5 seconds fatigue after downing a survivor. They are also not that fun to play against, and the least played killer. I still don't think they need a full rework, but a QoL change is definitively needed.

  • A nerf (or complete rework) to dead hard. Either that or a major change to all the awful reworked maps.

  • I will just say this:

Devs, BUFF BACK Thrill of the Hunt! Nobody liked the nerf and a counter to boons would be healthy for the game.

  • Oh yeah, can't wait for that. Actually, I only realized there's going to be a Friday the 13th this week because of their release date announcement.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Anniversary Stream is on the 17th, I doubt they'll reveal the chapter 4 days early knowing so many people would tune into the Stream for it

Yeah, you're right, they always make a reveal on anniversary stream.

I'm just hoping they will reveal a teaser trailer friday, 4 days before the anniversary.

Yeah, I know it's unlikely, but my heart keeps hoping for a Friday the 13th chapter.

  • @gnehehe said:

I can imagine the demopuppy had a fun and interacting game 😊

Well, at least he got 4 hooks, which is not bad for someone who started playing just now. Still... not sure if he had fun getting pallet stunned and hearing gens popping while he was in a chase.

  • Honestly, I wouldn't mind... as long as they nerfed Dead Hard to the ground or reworked it completely. I don't think that will ever happen, tho.
