Seriously, this is one more of those cases of the devs taking minor player requests and, instead of doing just that, making some bigger change that nobody asked for with no concern for downsides that may come with it. "Players asked for more queue info below the 'Play' button? Let's make a new button that will be huge, opaque, and contain all the info inside it instead of below it". Why? For real, when Pyramid Head's rework was on PTB, he could inflict Torment with his damaging ability, Punishment of the Damned, allowing him to cage any survivor that was hit with his M2 during chase and deny them anti-tunnel perks and any other perks that trigger uppon being hooked or unhooked. That was considered overpowered and nerfed when he went live. At the time I didn't mind, but… Well, th11 comments 250 views last activity

So, at this point I believe everybody knows the Judgement will be a killer with a very high skill floor, having one of the hardest powers to learn and control in the entire game. The problem with this is that killers with a very high skill floor and relatively simple counterplay, tend to drive players away. Just look at what happened when the Singularity released: gameplay was very hard, counterp9 comments 140 views last activity

The Chorus of Sin chapter is finally on early access and a lot of stuff look really cool. But I have to ask: is the Mori animation still unfinished? Because the best part of the concept that was voted is missing. And I dare to say, it's such a brutal and noteworthy part and so different from any mori already in the game, that I think it's probably the main reason why this mori concept got voted o29 comments 1,756 views last activity

TL;DR: Everything Demogorgon's power can do, Dracula can do better. The same thing happens with all but three of Demogorgon's add-ons. I just saw the thread about Chucky being power-crept by Michael, so can we take the oportunity to talk about how hard Dracula does that to Demogorgon? It's by far the worst overlap between killer powers. Everything Demo's power can do, Dracula can do better, an10 comments 231 views last activity

I (and many other players) have been asking and waiting for randomized add-ons in Chaos Shuffle for a LONG while. I don't understand why the devs took so long to make it, because the original iteration of Chaos Shuffle randomized only perks and nothing else, which led to people sweating and tryharding more than ever in everything but the perks, so almost every match was full of BNPs, Syringes, St9 comments 271 views last activity

Sound functioning or not was always a bit inconsistent in this game because, from time to time, it gets bugged and suddenly you can't hear people just because of a tiny object in front of them, and it happens so often that it's hard to realize the last time the bug started or ended. And since the FNAF chapter it seems it happened again. Come on, there is no way it's just me, since this chapter r2 comments 71 views last activity

Recently I've made another post commenting Dredge's new skin had a clipping issue (you can see the post about Dredge here ), and now I found another problem with a skin from this same rift pass, the one for the Singularity. I've been playing this killer recently while using his new TV-head cosmetic in combination with other cosmetic pieces… and I noticed something looked weird during the Mori:0 comments 692 views last activity

Getting a grab as Springtrap is already quite rare, but I thought some of those I got where for teleporting to doors survivors were using to watch the cameras. When I noticed a survivor was touching a door and teleported there, I would either grab the survivor or notice they had ran away in time… but apparently all the grabs were for teleporting survivors, because I just noticed you only make the13 comments 562 views last activity

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: While playing killer, it's possible to see my own invitation VFX (that black-and-golden VFX that rotates around characters after they collect an invitation), even in first person. So, if I'm playing a short killer with a low FOV like Sadako or Xenomorph (when in crawler mode), the VFX covers my screen and doesn't let me see anything. If I play Chucky, the VFX can be fully s0 comments 11 views last activity

So, I just tried an anniversary event match as Xenomorph, and as soon as I collected an invitation… well, THIS happened. You know that black and golden VFX that spins around any character with an invitation? Even my own is visible to me when I play killer, even in first person. …so I watched it and, damn, it was bad. My expectations were already low and, sure, I had already taken a spoiler from Springtrap's legendary skin, but regardless of that, I ended up not enjoying anything about the movie, I even grew to dislike Mike and Vanessa more and more as the movie went on. I hope FNAF fans could enjoy it more than I did, though. It seemed to have many references to the ga1 comments 2 views last activity

It's been a few years since the devs implemented an automatic hit the killer delivers when failing to grab a survivor during an animation due to a latency issue. It seemed like a good thing at first, but for real, I cannot remember many times one of this automatic hits actually landed. Most of the time, what it does is force you into a quick hit that you can't control, STILL misses (because it al3 comments 121 views last activity

So far I was only able to get 3 door jumpscares while playing as Springtrap, and they were all in the first three days after the chapter release. After that I wasn't able to get a single more. I enter the doors and don't see a single yellow door aura, people are simply not using the doors most of the time so they aren't under the risk of getting grabbed. One thing that always called my attention in this game is how many of the maps have something that favors the power of the killer they are related to lorewise, as if that map was that killer's territory, where their power could be used properly. But this has exceptions and I never saw a confirmation about this being intentional or not. FNAF's map made me think of this again because that huge main8 comments 121 views last activity

I've been playing Springtrap and, while I've found the axe just a less fun version of the Huntress' hatchets most of the time, the security doors are pretty nice because they allow you to move back and forth without a cooldown, and they don't require you to run a distance like the Xenomorph, the time it takes between doors is always the same. But there is a problem with that: with the positions t3 comments 151 views last activity

When I first saw the new Dredge skin on the rift pass trailer, I loved it. Then I checked the details more carefully in-game and I loved the design even more, it had the potential of being my favorite Dredge skin, which is saying something, because pretty much every skin this killer has is great! But then I noticed a few things… a few problems in the skin, and one of them can affect gameplay whil6 comments 1,242 views last activity

So, apparently there's some talk about arachnophobia and accessibility going on. Seems like a lot of people wouldn't want a spider killer in the game. And although I'm one of those that actually DO want a spider-like killer, I started to wonder if there is a way we can make both spider lovers and arachnophobes happy. So I have to ask: would a killer that looks partially like a spider but doesn't20 comments 451 views last activity

TL;DR: most announcements from the Year 9 Anniversary Broadcast were either about skins or things we already knew of. There was very little new information regarding chapters or gameplay, and nothing on the anniversary event. That's way less than the previous anniversary streams. So, I spent a few days without playing, then today I finally played a little more and just then I saw the 2v8 Survey… but why make a survey with just 2 questions and not take the chance for asking a little more detail about what people liked or not about this new iteration of 2v8? TL;DR: The Bloodmoon event seemed to make less skilled survivors get lost and struggle more than usual, while survivors playing optimally were stronger than usual and way harder to counter. Just clarifying the title, killers have an easier time in the average MMR, but a harder time on the highest level of skill, but somehow the bloodmoon event seemed to make the game even more killer-sided in0 comments 42 views last activity

This is from the patch notes of the update that introduced Chucky: Nov 28, 2023 . Pay attention to the " PTB Feedback for the House " part. It's been a year and 5 months already. Most of the new surrender options are good, but this one here incentivizes extreme hiding just like the 4% mechanic and instant death on missed skillchecks incentivize survivors giving up to go next. I liked the Map Offering value change, it was much needed, but I still think it brings a problem to the rare times it is not used to sweat, but to make a specific build viable or do a specific challenge. Usually this cases are just killers with stealth builds (most maps in the game suck for killer stealth) or survivors with balanced landing, possibly trying to do a "fall from a great height" chal21 comments 1,071 views last activity

Houndmaster right now feels better to play as than at her release because of the buffs she received. Still, it should be reminded that even though she is strong right now, she's also still buggy and clunky. It's still surprising the amount of times you try to use her power and it doesn't respond properly. The search command is definitively the clunkiest on the two. I'm loving a lot of things about the Houndmaster. For a start, she's an ORIGINAL killer with english voice lines! She has an unique look and weapon based around a really cool theme and, of course, the best part, her power is that she has a dog! We have an actual dog in the game, light up the fireworks! So, one of these days I had a survivor match that ended with three escapes. I should start by saying that, no, I don't think Dracula is weak. He is actually quite decent, with multiple chase abilities and map mobility with the bat form. The problem that might make him unpopular in the future is that, honestly, every ability he has seems like a clunkier version of another killer's power, which certainly doesn't make him very fun or appealing to play for many players, spec57 comments 2,012 views last activity

I must admit the fire spells are my least favorite thing from Castlevania's version of Dracula, but I appreciate we finally got a fire attack in the game… I've thought for years that would be interesting to have an incendiary killer one day, and noticed that through the years we got many means of hurting survivors: bladed weapons, claws, electricity, hooked chains, hatchets and throwing knives, i7 comments 171 views last activity

The twins have the lowest pick rate in the game… and after the rework, I believe they will continue to have so, because it seems to focus on only two issues: the slow clunkyness and the slugging snowballs (it doesn't even fix the slugging itself), while the Twins have many more issues beside those, which goes to show how crazy it is that they got released how they are. So, lot of people hate Ultimate Weapon, right? It's an annoying killer perk that makes you scream and reveals your location to the killer right when you hear the terror radius, with not a lot of room for counter besides bringing Calm Spirit, an otherwise really weak survivor perk. I personally don't think I have played enough on Greenville Square to be sure if it is survivor-sided or killer-sided, but the fact that it has a double-pallet tile is kinda baffling. TL;DR: the number of hooks has decreased in multiple maps lately, so the distance between hooks increased. Hook shouldn't break permanently after a sacrifice, then. Seriously, for such a problematic map, with the amount of issues that it had and how obvious some of them were, I don't get why the rework was so minimalistic. Sound is right now something you simply can't trust too much. There are times you here a survivor right beside you but when you look they are pretty far away, sometimes a survivor runs right past you and you can't hear the footsteps, sometimes an injured survivor stops making any sound whatsoever simply because they reached behind a bush or the tip of a wall... and sometimes you can hear them per2 comments 91 views last activity

So, there's one of those "techs" I've seen some survivors do recently, which is similar to other animation-cancelling techs, but I don't remember ever seing this particular one until a while ago. Seriously, sound is not very consistent in DbD right now, specially footstep sounds. Often, a survivor you are chasing seems to simply stop making sound, even with just a small tile between you two. Implementing bots was a nice step towards reducing the impact caused by disconecting survivors. However, it can't do its job when survivors choose the other way of giving up and abandoning the game: just killing themselves on hook. Yesterday I posted a thread on "Feedback and Suggestions" saying why I believe post-rework Sadako will have extremely high kill rates, since she has everything that usually raises a killer's kill rates. We have yet to see the data for the reworked Onryo's kill rates, but considering her pre-rework kill rates were already really high AND her current version has all the stuff that usually results in high kill rates (simple to play, slowdown built in her power, a mechanic that kills survivors if they fail to counter the power), I presume they will be higher than ever now.
