I just read that as "play 10 games normally or 4 games with Nemesis"
Edit: by "play" I meant "win." I'm not silly enought to think I can get a 10-game streak of obsession kills without a bit of luck.
-
There's no point. They just suicide on hook anyway, something the Devs avidly defend as a core part of the game.
Even the few people that cool off between down and hook do not outweigh the ones that get screwed over because of the penalties.
-
Iron Will is ONLY supposed to suppress grunts of pain. Coughing isn't part of that. However, it also suppresses breathing, which it clearly isn't supposed to do.
-
Yes. Embrace the bouncy alchemist. We shall ricochet to victory.
-
No, but I don't play like that (scummy) to begin with. I suffer no illusions: people don't need a real excuse to justify being unpleasant, they will do it because they want to make someone else miserable whilst having a petty power trip. Most survivors who get a break from toxicity facing me are, in fact, miserable toxic pricks that want nothing more than to take the opportunity to make me as miserable as possible because that's how humans and revenge work.
-
It's actually pretty easy to find totems in Midwich. It seemed difficult at first, but the glowing orange crackling sort of gives it away these days, no matter what they are hiding behind.

Myers needs basekit changes. His addons are fine. If they remove his Tombstone addons, that will just prove to me that BHVR is totally out of touch with their game.
Yes, they would be completely out-of-touch for removing Ivory Mori's.
Wait, sorry, I meant Tombstone Piece. You know, the repeatable Mori that takes less time from spawn-to-kill than an Ivory.
-
You don't want them Botany heals? Fine by me. I'll just go ahead and keep me and my team healthy all trial, you can go be injured Nancy.
Also, you really cannot blame someone for not going for the unhook while 1-shot, not unless someone else is clearly getting chased. That's like saying "why don't you die with me?" I'm not a fan of SC-In-The-Corner but I'm also not irrational.

From everyone who has the perk setup running it lol
So, 3 people? I'm not kidding, I have never come across this with any form of consistency and nor have any for the streamers I watch who play survivor.

How was the Ruleset Survivor biased? (they couldnt use more then 2 of the same Perk / no purple or higher addons / no OoO / ds was broken / spirit was buggy).
I believe it was the scoring system itself that people were mad about being survivor-biased. That, and the fact that all maps were chosen at random even though the significant majority of maps are, at a high level, extremely survivor sided.

While each killer has a separate meta for their style their is an overall meta which was Thrilling Tremors (BBQ for bp) Corrupt Pop STBFL (This slot is sometimes changed for the best utility perk on said killer) Now it’s become BBQ Tinkerer Ruin Undying with some going Thrilling Corrupt Pop Dragon’s Grip
That is not true at all. I have no idea where you are getting any of this info, because that certainly has not been my experience.
-
No, that isn't true at all. Competitive implies competition worthy. As every tournament so far has proven, that is not the case. And as the Devs have constantly shouted form the rooftops, DbD is a causal game.
PVP ≠ Competitive. It never has.

The game is 4v1... 1 hook is only about 8% of the killers objective... 8x4 is 32% of the killers objective is using a mori off 1st hook for all 4 survivors.
You've still got to chase them down and eat through all of their chase perks and several bodyblocks. Plus, hardcore tunneling like that is still completing 66% of your objective, it's just going about it in a particularly unfun and rather scummy manor.

Yes they have to do 66% of there objective, but its much easier to pressure gens when you tunnel of first hook with a mori
And that is why I hate them so much. Them, and the Tombstone Piece.
-
I just push them out. Anyone petty enough to be BMing at the exit gates clearly needs a hug, some approval and a stiff drink.
Or whatever 3rd option exists for my fellow teatotallers. I haven't found it yet, but I'm sure I will someday.

Are you familiar with the streamer Fungoose losing his 115 game 4K winstreak as Plague? Imagine seeing that come up in a lobby as survivor and actually being in the team that defeated him.
Why would I care? It isn't exactly that impressive either way. It just seems like it should be because in other, more fair and competitive titles, it is. DBD isn't one of those. That's like saying you have extreme skill for winning $2 from a scratchie.
-
No. That would imply that you can actually win without luck, or a full tryhard party. The idea reminds me of KDR in GTA Online: it isn't that kind of game, don't put it in and tell people they are rubbish because they don't have a high one when having a high one isn't actually possible without extreme luck.
DBD isn't actually competitive. Competitive elements have no real place, not without making people feel bad about themselves for no good reason, and making them mad at others for very good reasons that nonetheless do not merit the level of response they get.
If I see somebody with a high winstreak, I don't think they are a good player. Not in DBD, there's too many unaccountable variables.
-
There hasn't been a meta shift, because killers don't have an overall meta. There's just 1 perk that makes 1 other perk more valuable for a certain class of killers.
-
That is kind of what survivors are, though. Customisable skins. Sure, not fully customisable, but then who would play any other survivor?
-
Why do people bully baby survivors?
Okay, to be fair, that one is a little different because baby survivors are everywhere and you often have mix baby/veteran teams, but the principle is the same. Plenty of people, back when it was an actual thing, liked to derank and bully babies, killer and survivor alike.
-
That isn't true, if you actually try to practice with his power you will find that it actually wastes a lot of time waiting for them to be animation locked/zoned. However, it is also the path of least resistance for the killer, so those who dislike effort and practice will naturally take it.
-
They also kind of promote some pretty toxic playstyles. Knowing where the hatch will spawn? Forcing the basement to be centralised? Yeah...
-
They didn't take away the ridiculous tall grass, they just changed the texture. What they did take away was a bunch of the pallets, and that couples with the texture update to make non-maze tiles super difficult to scope out mid-chase, because you honestly have no idea if there will be a pallet there or not.
-
It's a good perk that helps you when you most need it. By itself it rarely comes in clutch... But few perks are good just by themselves. Put it with Botany and Self Care and your whole team will love you. The rational ones, at least.
-
Honestly, it probably isn't worth it. Even ignoring the tanking frame rate, there are direct physical limitations to playing with a controller Vs a keyboard, and Nurse requires extreme precision and twitch adjustments that controller sensitivity just doesn't offer. You physically cannot adjust fast enough to keep up with a juking survivor, it has nothing to do with skill or practice. There just isn't enough sensitivity.

Killer doesn't waste time picking/walking/hooking survivor. 66% only If mori was "death on 2nd hook".
It takes 13 seconds to Mori.
-
You have to complete 2 chases and prepare them for a second hook. That is 66% of the killers objective spread across 4 survivors. I don't like Mori's, but I don't like being dishonest about them either.
-
It is a good idea, but Deep Wounds already has no pressure, and neither would this. The sheer amount of times I've spent working on gens, healing others, or getting saves while in bleed-out is insane. I never feel pressured to mend til I want to. So how would a massively extended, hidden mend-style timer really help? Oh no, I have 4 minutes to find someone to heal me? The only times where that would be threatening are times when it is completely out of my control as to whether or not I get healed.
Personally, if you want to make being injured more dangerous, I'd just fix the IW bug.
-
I'd like a chapter that branches more towards the already-established supernatural horror theme of DbD. Everyone seems to go on about all of these horror titles they want to see introduced - but they're mostly sci-fi. And as much as I love sci-fi horror, nothing takes me out of the game more than seeing the Demogorgon derping it's way out of a hole.
I'd prefer some lovecraftian killer that survivors barely get to see. Some unknowable and terrifying sentient that just wandered into the Entity's realms and started murdering, perhaps even without permission from the Entity.
-
Honestly, devout emblems are rarely my problem. Getting 3 4k's with nine hooks? Yeah, sure. Might take me a few more trials, but who cares, excepting every trial to be a 9hook4kill is... Entitled, to say the least. Just slap the challenge on and play normally, maybe slug for the 4k if you want to really go for it.
-
Mori's require 66% of a killers objective to be completed. Not saying anything else, just pointing that out.
-
Just hold W and dodge any ranged attacks, which is pretty easy when you are holding W. You'll waste more of the PH's time doing that than trying to loop them, because of the precise problem you have mentioned.
-
Not without rebuilding the game from the ground up. Too much got added over the years: Sometimes it seem that DbD code is an inverted pyramid balanced atop a plate of spaghetti sitting in a tub of lard atop a football. I cannot say how it was built or what level the programmers were at, but I don't know anyone who could just magically fix a project that has been altered so much from it's original setting without a complete rebuild. And if someone could do that, then I want them to start teaching classes. Even my old professor wouldn't say no to a few pointers.
-
And what measures would you have set to protect the people that get screwed over? Hacker lobbies, taking the game hostage, connection issues, bugs, glitches and that good old fashioned mechanical failure?
-
It is not hitboxes, it is latency. For some unfathomable reason, they made her purges not only server sided, but extremely bugged to boot. Unless me and the survivor have less than 50 ping between us, hits will be robbed and it will be pretty consistent. It is the one and only reason I had to give up being a Plague main, and I am... Well, there's no point dancing around, I'm still extremely pissed off. Months of playtime down the drain. She's still my favourite killer by far, I just can't play her without getting massively triggered because the devs genuinely don't care and would rather blame poor connections than admit that perhaps, given Slinger and Huntresses relative functionality, they screwed up.
I wish she was more popular just so she could get a little QoL update.
-
Because his power is extremely bugged and it is super easy to knock him out of it even when you shouldn't be able to? Because for every scenario that you should be able to reveal him there's one where you shouldn't have been able to? It's not exactly the killers mistake to not see the Blendette crouching behind a rock, have the game let you get the reveal thanks to server lag or just plain old behind-solid-wall-reveals.
-
Sounds like a bug. It should be fixed relatively soon... Although sounds are messed up to all kinds of hells and Iron Will has been bugged for years, so perhaps audio glitches aren't exactly top, or even lower middling, priority.

Survivor queue times are faster than ever.
The game is also the easiest for killer mains it's ever been.
No, they aren't, not at peak hours when the majority of players are active. My killer ques are still instant whereas it takes at least five minutes to find a survivor match (as opposed to this time last year, when they were nearly instant). Then, at off-peak hours, it takes about ten minutes to find a survivor match and 15 as killer, however that is when the least amount of players are online.
I would also disagree with your wording: while you are correct in claiming that it is the easiest to play killer that it has ever been, that does imply that it isn't the most difficult aspect of the game by far. Even including solo survivor, since solo is not so much "difficult" as "entirely reliant on not getting potatoes."
-
It seems that there was supposed to be a mechanic that debuffed the obsession, given that the DS rework heavily implies that becoming the obsession is supposed to be a drawback. However, it seems that the only drawbacks are maybe, possibly being the Rancor and getting a 5th perk, or accidentally res'ing the killers obsession perk that either buffs you or debuffs the killer for interacting with you, which is still a buff to you by proxy.
Hmm. Logic.
So it is fitting that the killers perks themselves are also inconsistent, because pretty much everything else about the mechanic is. Another example: As I found out today, Nemesis doesn't create an obsession til someone in the trial stuns you for the first time. Before then, so long as no other obsession perks (killer or survivor) are in play, there is no obsesson at all. Except Nemesis is an obsession perk, which is supposed to create an obsession from the beginning of the trial.
Once again, Logic.

Well, I do know how flashlights save work. I rarely ever used flashlights, but I always managed to pull it off. What I am saying is that I keep getting points for blinding the killer, which means he should drop the survivor, but he does not.
Well, I've certainly not noticed a thing, so perhaps it's a connection issue.
-
Am I the only one who hates the monsters from A Quiet Place simply because it feels like they ripped of the Future Predators?
Other than that probably-minor detail, I'd love to see a monster based on one of them. A monstrous killer that uses sonar? Could be a doc-style anti-stealth killer, even if it wouldn't really fit the rest of the cast.
-
The Redeemer. I like the underhand swing, and just the fact that it looks cool as a weapon on it's own.
-
How dare you imply that the Devs are not enslaved by our wallets. They exist only to please us and should give us exactly what we want, especially when the opinion on the matter is divided. Let's randomly have half the gens with old sounds, half with last patches sounds, and half with the new sounds for a total of 33% of gens having 2 sound files playing.
-
I usually for for about 2 hours.

Om but ur not helping anyone
I've spent the last week helping people. I'm taking a thread off to blow off a little of that steam.
-
That's just normal Blight gameplay. You know, the thing that I and other forum users have been pointing out, only to get told that we do not, in fact, have any idea what we are talking about and, in fact, only go against potato survivors because we happen to know how to play a certain killer better than others.
Seriously, I've been playing like that since literally day 1, and I know that most other Blight Is Good players have been doing the same.
-
The shroud of seperation and the two survivor ones that make you start together. Seriously, their effects should be completely reversed. Survivors should have the shroud of seperation and killers the other two.
Also, fog offerings. More fog as survivor is good, but less fog as survivor or more/less fog as killer is bad for me.
-
It is appreciated by most, however, it is also outweighed by the toxicity of most games, since a single toxic player ruins an otherwise very sporting trial between 4 decent people.
-
Do we need a killer that hard-counters some of the most frustrating things in the game and forces people to actually play better than the killer in order to escape... Hmmm, I dunno.......................
-
What was your build and playstyle? What map did you get?
