I think, it's a combination of recent bugs/issues and how unfun it is to play to deal with two Cooldowns now.

What also plays a role is the huge amount of killers we now have. So a variety killer player will have less opportunity to pick nurse over others especially because she is is hard to master.

    yeah that makes sense honestly

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

She had always been a killer who needed a high level of skill to play, the nerf made it take even more skill to play her while also making it very punishing for missing any blink. With nothing to balance this out old nurse players and new players dont want to play her since she is both frustrating and hard to learn and play.

i do think a nerf was needed, probably for her addons that allowed her to have like 5 blinks. but the nerf to her blinks that come with cool downs make it so aggravating to play as her. she can’t play a game without having her blinks glitched and being unable to do anything

  • @Acromio said:

Why would anyone sane play a killer that gets countered by just running in a straight line?

not true you will eventually catch up to that person and it won’t even take that long at all.

  • @Hoodied said:

Lemme pull up my list of why I don't play nurse on console

-Hits that should have hit but don't

-If a survivor is running in a straight line, you are not catching up to them, even with blinks

    -UR add-ons suck

    -All but cooldown add-ons suck

-That weird blink bug still exists where you hear the blink sound repeat until used

-Did I mention hits that should have hit but don't?

ok console makes sense, i played on console for a long time and it’s actually impossible to play her with everything wrong with dbd on console

  • @cipherbay_ said:

She is unfun to play as. Im happy with the add on changes but the cooldown was not necessary. If the cooldown was removed i would pick her up

yeah, i think her cooldown for her blinks should be removed especially because of the limitless amount of glitches and bugs that come with it.

  • @Farshad7913 said:

Because mastering her is really really hard, i could say she is the hardest one to master. She always was but now if you mess up you just lose the chase, its not fun to lose 2 gens just because you missed one attack and got asthma for 10 seconds is it? Those who mastered her before the nerf are the ones slaying.

yeah, this is very reasonable and understandable.

Yes, you do pop on a survivior, TR is 32m, blink range is 20m, so you need to travel only the 12 meters. So unless the survivior runs the ######### away as soon as he hears your TR, you can blink to them. Dont forget Monitor & Abuse exists and it reduces your TR to 24m, allowing you to blink almost immediately. And thats without range addons.

What I say is not true on an empty field, if tou want surprise them then they cant see you, so it works best when there are obstacles obstructing surviviors vision. Again, use obstacles, so they dont see you, good surviviors always can predict, but thats what you have chain Blink for. Even if they outplay you, you still have 12m blink.

Cant argue about Dead Hard because I dont have an access to statistics how many blinks are stopped by it, but I know that reaction DH is very hard, and you cant DH predict nurse in the 0.5s between blink and hit. I dont play often against Nurse bacause she is a rare killer and I dont play that much as a Nurse because she is hard, but its not like I dont play at all.

Im not saying bugs should not be fixed, Im saying that bugs do not affect the fact that she has the strongest power. And you just said that Devs fixed Sanctum of Wrath. They ARE fixing Nurse bugs.

Again, Bubba is weaker because his power only works at the end of a chase, this means that unlike Nurse he can be easily looped.

I thought he was talking about getting to basement by accident, not because of a bug.

43% killrate proves that she is hard to learn and that most people suck at her, but it does not mean she is not strong in the right hands.

i agree sm with this. it does take much more practice to reach her skill cap and it can be frustrating for a lot of people including me when i was learning her, but even with her i purposely play as her against swf teams and completely dominate them including popular streamers who are actually veterans at the game. not that it matters, but it does show that actual skilled nurses who have great muscle memory with her can't be avoided.if you were already a skilled nurse prior to her nerf and had no trouble with her gameplay, then you will most likely still not feel that much of a disadvantage while playing her.

Where? from where do you get this? Because you cant play against her or because you've seen a streamer that has hrs played with her? Because I'll tell you where you haven't seen it, on the game. Ive posted this before but I'll repost it every time someone says she's OP or top tier. Im a good nurse, I play both killer and survivor at red ranks (not that it matters).

We all agree she needed a nerf but she was way over nerfed. Now she has one of the lowest kill rates of any killer for both experienced and new players alike.

    Either:

a)remove or lower the cooldown for blink, maybe make the cool down reset both blinks instead of one per cool down.

    b) Remove fatigue and leave everything else as is.

    c) increase her base speed to 4.2-4.4 like hag/huntress/spirit or

    d) give her 3-4 blinks and leave everything else as is.

Any ONE of these would put her back at the top or near the top tier without making her as OP as she once was.

ok i do agree with this, her nerf was too much and unneeded. i do think her basekit cooldown should be reverted only for the sake that it is so glitched right now that you cannot play a game with nurse without being stuck on one blink and unable to use the 2nd. also, nurse's movement speed should def increase, no reason to make it so low

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/125224/why-is-nurse-such-a-rare-killer-to-go-against-now

She's trash right now. Might as well be F tier because she has zero mobility now, her add ons are a joke, and hibernates for every offensive action. Before you were punished through learning her. Now you're just plain punished for playing her.

not really, she's a strong killer and most veteran DBD players will agree that she's the best killer in dead by daylight right now. her mechanism of blinking to injure, wait for fatigue, then blink and down again is by far the most overpowered. no other killer can do this and sure, there have been some nerfs but she is definitely not in F tier. if you can't play her well, that's just you but her power is definitely really good especially against good survivors

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1044462#Comment_1044462

I don't know what you are but you are making stuff up. You don't pop up on a survivor, this doesn't happen, you are announced before TR is there.

All of what you say is only true on an empty field huge deadzone, against potatoes sure. As soon as you play against good people nurse is horrible, she is easier to predict and see, dead hard works everytime against her unlike every other killer in the game. It is okay that you do not know that, tells me you don't see nurse as survivor nor do you play her.

Which probably is the reason why keep making stuff up and ignore all the gamebreaking bugs nurse suffers from at the moment. She was unplayable on sanctums wrath, she has many bugs and the devs do nothing.

According to potential bubba is the strongest, you know just like the rare case that a survivor will just stand randomly in an open field, bubba is the strongest if for some unknown reason all survivors try to escape the basement stairs and he comes down...

Also Flannel does not help with the basement bug, it has something to do with blinking near the basement while you not even aim for it and yet get sucked into it.

Nurse has a 43% killrate and suffers from gamebreaking bugs and you tell people it is the strongest killer. Please just stop when you have no clue at all.

nurse is definitely the strongest killer when she’s played right and people are used to her blinks. her bugs are an issue but they won’t stop her from 4king and ending chases in like 5-10 seconds. her kill rate doesn’t determine whether she’s a good killer, there are unskilled nurses that will have so much trouble playing now especially with her nerf. i play her at rank 1 killer and never depipped or gotten anything other than a 3k or 4k (sometimes find hatch) in a long time. it really depends on your knowledge of her power. she had one of the highest kill rate prior to her nerf and proving my point, you need to actually be aware of her blinks.

  • @Eye66 said:

With the huge cooldown and stun you can't use blinks to travel around the map anymore and are forced to rely on her slower than survivor walk speed to get around

i really feel like they should increase her base speed movement

  • @Advorsus said:

Why is no one else talking about the random basement blinks? Lol is it just me? Like go to blink to someone outside a structure, randomly blink to the basement. Go to blink out, won't let you blink out. Have to actually walk out and by that time the survivor is long gone. This happens constantly to me. I could be aiming for the sky and end up in the basement lol then it becomes impossible to pass through again.

yup that’s pretty common but good survivors know not to really loop around the basement/shack area cause she can gain an easy line of sight. i personally only experience this when i’m trying to get across the map and it’s aggravating

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1044271#Comment_1044271

I dont care about statistics, Im talking about potential of her power. Precise blink is an instant hit, do it one more time snd this is the end of the chase. Nothing can stop you, loops, pallets, walls, whatever, it does not matter. You just blink and hit. If you miss then youre #########. Just git gud and dont miss.

I agree about the bugs and lags, but these thing are not supposed to be part of gameplay, so you cant judge her power based on that.

    def agree

  • @Tro said:

I'm a very good nurse and I disagree that she is anywhere near top tier.

She needed a nerf but she was way over nerfed. Now she has one of the lowest kill rates of any killer for both experienced and new players alike.

    Ive suggested before that either:

a)remove or lower the cooldown for blink, maybe make the cool down reset both blinks instead of one per cool down.

    b) Remove fatigue and leave everything else as is.

    c) increase her base speed to 4.2-4.4 like hag/huntress/spirit or

    d) give her 3-4 blinks and leave everything else as is.

Any ONE of these would put her back at the top or near the top tier without making her as OP as she once was.

i definitely agree that her base speed needs to increase and the blink cooldown and fatigue duration need to decrease.

  • @Eye66 said:

Because she was nerfed so severely she's unplayable now?

that's a FAT lie, she's an s-tier killer and i guess my input is subjective, but she's able to apply so much pressure and a skilled one can get a 4k within 2 minutes. yes, she was so much better before but the nerf didn't make her unplayable.

  • @Auron471 said:

Let us gasp to say that the killer is watch us. (For Myers and other stealth killers)

yeah or a hushing gesture, something like that. but some can be just for fun and dances or something

  • devs need to see this and realize why so many people use ruin. idk, maybe cause of the only objective in the game is fixing the generators which are usually done in such a short time? just a wild guess

  • @kinderjazen said:

I feel like 2 tokens is to much, because you could easily snow ball and get your 2 hooks to mori. That’s a REAL height risk / high reward perk unlike ruin that can be found in 10 seconds of the match and effects can be negated by skilled survivors and gen tapping

i usually have games where if i do bring devour hope, the hex totem will be cleansed in like first minute of the game. its a useless perk at times and i think it shouldn't spawn until later in the match when the effects of it are shown just like noed.

  • he's not getting a nerf, so nope. just like any other killer, billy is easy to loop and his chainsaw requires skill in order to use it properly against good survivors.

  • i agree! make generators constantly regress when it isnt being touched at just one set speed at which the devs agree on, and ruin can just grant a 3-5 second pause of the generator shaking of you get a good skill check instead of great

  • theres no specific release date but honestly hope there’s a few tweaks made for the upcoming chapter. ruin shouldn’t be nerfed in my opinion. it’s really a useless perk now and made everything more unbalanced so not really looking forward to the release of this patch

    You just said "skilled killer"

The whole point is that the technique gives you no advantage unless you are very good at the game. Even hook techs are way easier to do than mastering moonwalking to a usefull level. If you remove all high-skill techs and the whole mind game potential from the game, it would be just too boring. And moonwalking is NOT A BUG, it is a legitimate part of game mechanics, because it shows where you look, not where you walk and everybody knows that.

Complaining about moonwalking is like complaining about, idk, rocket jumps in quake or tf

    yep

  • i think the ruin nerf was not needed just cause this perk made the game more balanced. gen speeds and gen rushing at red ranks is no joke btw. but i don’t think you need ruin anyways for some killers that are able to apply massive pressure on survivors across the map (freddy, spirit, nurse, billy). however, it is definitely necessary for low tier killers like doctor, clown, legion, etc. these killers rely on ruin just so that they have a game that lasts longer than 5 minutes. you would really not believe how fast gens get repaired on large maps.

  • @toxic_clown said:

we lose ruin, and you lose moonwalking. perfectly balanced... as all things should be...

RED STAIN SHOWS WHERE KILLER IS LOOKING, NOT WALKING

NO RED STAIN = NO LOOKING

Using moonwalk means you cant see the surviviors, its a perfectly fair and valid tactic

    yup

You're .... actually serious? Wow. I guess some people just don't understand even basic mechanics of the game.

facts, it's an efficient way of playing the game like it avoids looping and urges survivors to throw the pallet down fast. guess they just don't know how to efficiently counter it

Why are you so salty lmao?? I could understand if people moonwalk all game instead of doing a gen- But honestly. 95% of times, they do a gen. What's the problem? Next, let's remove Myers' moonwalk because he doesn't have an animation. Right. Remove all the fun, minor things from the game..??

    very true

Good. I'm sick of people wasting time trying to look cool instead of doing anything productive.

they dont tf, it was just a fun mechanic

  • @Hex_KillerMainBTW said:

If I'm being honest, you have to be GOOD at nurse for her to be the strongest. Basically, they gave her a higher skill cap so people who were decent at best can't really do what they did before. Which, honestly I think is a good thing. Same with spirit. Spirit is still good but you can't snowball win like you used to imo

    yeah makes sense, i agree

  • there are counters to adrenaline like noed, it doesn’t need a nerf cuz it’s pretty balanced in my opinion.

  • i main nurse at rank 1 and have most of the time gotten 4ks. Sometimes I’ll give survivors the hatch or they’ll find it but she is far from garbage, her mechanics are hard to learn and she can be frustrating to get used to. that wasn’t the case for me, i kinda just picked up on her and got used to her blinks. she is definitely the best killer in the game but can be boring at times.

  • @AsePlayer said:

GF. You can reeeally keep people on edge when they have no clue where you are 90% the match, running sloppy, nurses, thana, and ruin. I'm not a stalker, but I also take the free 1 hit downs if it's easy enough. Best juggler in the game IMO.

    yeah i agree w that

Top priority should always be game health. It doesn't matter if you can transfer progress if the game itself is unplayable. But I do think cross-progression should be a priority as far multi-platform support goes, since I suspect a lot more people would be keen to buy the game on multiple platforms if they could sync their progress between them.

yeah i get that thanks for the input!

Knowing that it is basically the same event as last year, however they are trying to monetize from it more... It's eh... And because they are trying to profit more from it, that is the reason for the delay....ehhhh... ( AKA There would be no delay if they weren't trying to profit more.)

But sure. Like some have mentioned.... other games are not filled with bugs and are having their Halloween events right now. It's quite fun. There's free games, that offer free stuff + stuff you can buy + stuff you can grind for instead of buying (awesome). And also paid for games, that give you free stuff, sometimes through grinding it out etc., with options to buy if you don't want to grind. No extra money schemes and such. It's a nice way to enjoy Halloween gaming. :)

Anyways, that's not really the point of this thread, and I agree with a lot of points made. And I think it was well spoken. There are clear issues going on, that I sadly think will get swept under the rug instead.

Also, talking about "hype" their entire last stream was just an advertisement.... They also didn't mention or even hint at anything that could potentially delay the event or any issues. No actual feedback. Which if they knew from the PTB, they had several issues that would cause the delay (which was said in another thread).. Then surely they would know they would be far too busy to do a Q and A, which was constantly told to everyone, even there, that it would be done next week, which is now moved to next, next week. (As they are claiming with the too busy with the bugs thing....) Kind of like getting the run around...

Hmmm. Just found that interesting. That's all.

so many true things stated here, definitely agree on how the hype is mainly for advertisement purposes, but it’s only negatively effecting them in the long term with the dissatisfaction.

    Ummmm No.

Honestly it's just basic respect. Criticizing the work of a group of people trying their best is just unfair.

It's beyond pathetic to constantly throw a tantrum about people disagreeing with your 'overreaction'. Dbd Is just a game intended for fun, surely there is something to fill the void until the update lands?

    Seriously where is your creativity.

it’s also beyond pathetic to constantly provide your community with patches with several instabilities, multiple delays, various platform specific issues that haven’t been fixed for weeks, and i could literally keep on going.

  • @KillermainBTWm8 said:

Sorry but I'd rather have a delayed event than a game that isn't fun to play due to gamebreaking bugs.

None of this is lately. This has been pervasive with the devs for the two years I've been playing.

They go through periods where good things happen (rework freddy and his map for example) and then start feeling themselves and schedule two ports and dedicated servers to one quarter, along with an entire new reward structure. Remember when the store and the emblem system was delayed for weeks on console?

Focus on fixing your ######### before adding more and more monetization options.

i’ve noticed that as well, the devs are really just creating more problems by rushing these things and fitting them close together.

  • @nos4a2 said:

They announced a Q&A for next week and their streams r always on Thursday so that’s gonna be on Halloween I’m assuming and r they gonna drop it on Halloween day or is it going to wait until the next Tuesday which is November to drop a Halloween event ? This is so rediculous and irritating . They hype something up for months and when it’s time to release it they have a bug that would break the game that they find 18 hours before it’s drop and don’t say a word other than we r working on it until today and today we still get no date on when the event will happen with Halloween just days away . Well honestly every time there is a chapter or a patch or an event they break something without fail . The fact that they can’t tell us a date of its release is even more infuriating .

so accurate. i haven’t noticed one event or patch that has had no problems, delays, issues, bugs, etc. these devs should be investing much more if their time into these updates.

  • @Mistikus said:

i definitely understand where you're coming from, but these types of errors are way too common and are negatively effecting dbd. i wouldn't care so much if these types of problems weren't that common, but this always happens.
